Peacock Surgery - Stansted Branch

Called the clinic and was booked in with a lovely Dr. Great bedside manner and made me feel at ease and not rushed. 5 stars

I’m so grateful to be registered at this surgery - I’ve been with Stansted surgery for nearly 38 years and have always had fantastic, caring, efficient experiences. I work within the NHS and have an understanding of the challenges involved in providing GP services and am so impressed with the service and the doctors, nurses and administrators. I have probably been with about 10 GP surgeries in my adult life due to frequently having to move with my job. Yes, I'm a junior doctor. But this surgery is extremely well run and I am grateful for them (managers and secretaries) for not dropping the ball on several matters concerning an unwell family member. My only critique is that I can find some of the male GPs a little too hurried on the phone, and not spending enough time exploring t
issues. Every single Female GP I've spoken to at this surgery, and I must have spoken to most, has been exceptional and I have felt that there has been brilliant shared decision making. There have never ever been any delays of any significance in seeing a GP or other health professional for my family here, I think they are extremely good in that regard. Easy to order repeat prescriptions online or by emailing. Now peacocks pharmacy is below them I'm also noticing that the two organisations are working together to problem solve prescription issues without putting it back to me. Good communication via SMS. Apart from the manner of a couple of male GPs, on occasion, I cannot fault this place and I am so grateful to have them. People criticising them in their reviews may not have quite the understanding of what other GP services are like that I do. The service here is really very good.

I continue to be impressed and grateful for this surgery. I have been a patient for 3 years and have always found the service to be excellent - helpful receptionist and compassionate doctors, that go above and beyond. The best surgery I have ever been a patient of.

Someone close to me has been trying to make an appointment for mental health with this practice for SIX MONTHS and they cannot get a face to face appointment for love nor money. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Absolutely shocking! They’re passed from online survey to telephone appointment, when surveys are sent out only half of it turns up, and then they have to chase up the next section. The most unprofessional service/duty of care I’ve ever experienced from a surgery. Shocking!
