Beautiful and scenic! Hudson River Park has so many great free events. I come from New Jersey to enjoy and decompress. They have volunteer staff under tents that are very helpful, can't wait until all the renovations are completed.

Beautiful brand new pier on the river! Great spot to walk out on. Some seating, not the most, but great spot for an adventure nonetheless. Great views of the city too! Definitely worth checking it out.

There is noticeable progress in pierās transformation into the park. River and Manhattan skyline views are gorgeous. About 3/4 of the pier is now open to public.

They are making steady progress on its rebuilding into a parkā¦Never attended a concert or event on top of the pierāBUTā-paddling south one evening with my late pup Nixie in summer 2015, we happened upon quite the spectacle: a Barenaked Ladies concert. We only caught the last 45 minutes or so but it was a fine performance and the stage and lights were great.

Attended the NYC Wine and Food Festival here. Over 3k people so it was a little crammed. But great views of the city nonetheless. Pier 92 has better views as itās raised about ground level. 97 is not.

Pride Island 2019
From a Europeanās point of view, familiar with Pride Parks in Europe and the activities organised here, Pride Island on Pier 97 was a huge flop. It resembles mostly with the Circuit parties. The food stands (2 or 3) were horrible and expensive places next to the toilets. Almost no tents from sponsors or activities organisers.
The performing guests consisted of some DJs and Madonna (great!) promoting her latest album.
All this was topped with plenty of guys doing drugs (pills) and being rude.
