They weren’t open when they said they would be and the phones don’t work. Not a good advertisement for DC artists.

Stable Arts is one of the best things going in DC for artist. I love it's location in Eckington and I encourage everyone to contribute and check out their public events.
Stable Arts is an art collective with 32 local artists, a public art gallery, and a lounge for artists to connect and create community. It's located just off the Metropolitan Branch Trail in Eckington in a historic building that really was once a horse stable.
When you walk in, there's a beautiful lounge area with art hanging on the walls. To the left is a large art galley displaying local art. If you were to go straight, you'd see several small to large art studios on three floors where local artists work out of. All studios are at a more affordable rent.
They also offer programs like art classes, lectures, etc.
