We took the Manhattan II experience out from Pier 36. This is an hour long sight seeing experience where you sail out from Pier 36 to the Statue of Liberty & back. The sky line asking the shore is absolutely beautiful.

I don’t usually post reviews, but this was pretty bad and expensive for what it is. At least the boat had a toilet - the highlight for me. Really awful jammed bus ride to/from boat with long wait both ways. Had to wait quite awhile for everyone to arrive too. I’ve never been on a public boat with no announcements on life vests, safety, etc. I mentioned to my sister mid trip ‘at least we could swim to shore’.

No stops on ‘tour’ just quick turnaround and back. No speakers downstairs. Really mediocre experience all the way. We were treated like tourist cattle. And it chewed up most of our afternoon. Avoid it!!

DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR..!!.. It's a SCAM.!!. 1 star was too kind and I couldn't give it a negative star. I would've given this scam of a tour -10 stars. Tour sold by scammers at Majestic Tours, as a 1 hour tour with "free parking," guided tour with landing on Liberty Island, double decker bus tour through the City, and all for $35/adult and $25/child 13-16. What a Fkn scam. MUST CHECK and VERIFY total amount right away. We discovered that we were charged $40/person and $30/child. Although these fast talking scammer salespeople crowded Battery Park like vultures, there were no signs or employees posted at or around pier 36 to highlight their tour. **There was no Free Parking** and the area where the scammer salesperson told us to park, well everyone who parked there got ticked by police. Everyone who parked in posted parking areas under the viaduct got a parking ticket. All we did was cruise to Liberty Island and back. We didn't even go around the island or land on the island as what was sold to us. The closest we got was about 300 yds and since we were packed onto the boat like sardines, we couldn hardly see anything. We voiced our concerns and issues with our boat guide "Michael" (if that's even his real name *he was actually nice) and which he said he's going to tell the company about. Funny thing, so many negative comments about the same things and the company "Majestic Tours" still not fixing. Yeah...SCAMMERS. it was a very hard lesson learned.

Yes, sadly the negative comments are accurate. This tour was mis-sold from the start as a 1 hour guided trip with a landing on Liberty Island. A 30 minute wait for a shuttle bus followed by a 90 minute wait on a grubby dockside with no information or facilities. The boat had no safety measures as far as I could see, no lifebelts and no safety briefing. Very overcrowded, we stood for the whole trip hanging already been standing in line for 2 hours. Seating was on freestanding old dining chairs. The boat did not stop at Liberty Island. On returning to Pier 36 there was no shuttle bus waiting to return us to South Ferry, so we walked the 15 minutes to East Broadway subway, which I guarantee is a quicker exit strategy! This tour was a disgrace to NYC, we felt hustled and scammed. An act of pure banditry, avoid at all costs. I urge any further similarly upset reviewers to contact the Mayors office at City Hall about New York Iconic Tours, as I have done.

Online this place has their pier as pier 36. Got there over a half hour early only to be told that the company there was called Majestic tours and that the Liberty sightseeing tour was at pier 23 about a half hour away. Needless to say, we lost that money spent on what we booked and we did not get to see the attractions promised. I am highly dissappointed and do not recommend them. They need to update their online information because not only was the pier number incorrect but when we tried to call the number it was not working. Thankfully we also booked a night cruise through a different company we've taken previously.

We were fortunate to have a great experience with the Liberty Sightseeing Boat ride. We walked right up to the boat, boarded, and the tour began about 15 minutes later. Beautiful tour of the Harbor, not just around Liberty and Ellis Island. The Guide gave an interesting and entertaining tour. Take some cash, you will want to tip this guy!
