Pathetic palace to eat, ordered coffee and masala dose, unhygienic dusty plates and no teste in both the dishes, barely eat the dose, spilling coffee while serving, waiters are not good too their behaviour is so rude. Avoid going to this place just because of this is old place and overhyped.

One of the oldest coffee house in Bangalore. You will feel like you are in the 90's, waiters with uniform , old type basic ambience, nothing fancy. Simple place with basic items on menu. Quick service.
Lemon juice was refreshing and good.
Idly was okay not soft, chutney was watery, bit spicy and sambar was spicy too. Cold coffee was good.

The dining space is good and rustic but that’s all. The food and service was below average.
The mutton cutlet had no mutton, tasted more like bread inside out.

The coffee ironically tasted like black coffee with milk powder.

The masala dosa was average

One of the oldest coffee house in Bangalore. Popular dishes include scrambled egg toast and cutlet.Coming to taste , it was OK. The bread was soggy under the scrambled eggs. Cutlet was good. Coffee was watery and not upto my expectations. They also sell coffee powder. Meals are also available. Not to expect much, can visit only for nostalgia. Can improve on the cleanliness of cutlery. The service was super fast.

I went shopping with a friend last week on Church Street, and after browsing bookstores and wandering around for a while, we visited the iconic ICH for lunch. In Bengaluru, this is the oldest ICH, and it exhibits old charm & simplicity. I understand the place was initially located in MG Road and lateron shifted to the present place.
The best part is that every item in the menu costs less than 100 rupees.
An omelet and normal meals were ordered. Meal at 50 rupees was okay, and omelet was also good in taste & quality, we got the best value for the money we paid.
It has our experience that the waiters are ever smiling and quick in delivering our orders.
ICH is recommended to visit not for high expectations but rather for the ICH nostalgia, coffee aroma, and economic dishes.
We visit again.

The vibe is as you expect it to be. Very clean and rustic. The serving is too fast and the prices are really good. The lemon juice, mutton cutlet and scrambled egg toast are a must.

One of the authentic coffee houses in Bangalore. It is located in front of MG Road Metro Station. We tried a mutton cutlet here. It was awesome. Coffee and other food items are also affordable. The staff of this coffee house are very humble and cooperative.
