My dad and I booked a fly fishing trip with Matt and we were both beyond thrilled with our experience (besides a few fish getting off the hook lol). We would suggest Matt for his wealth of knowledge and lightheartedness. 10/10 would recommend
My husband wanted to go fly fishing and take me with him and I had ZERO desire. I went with him once in Montana and did not like it at all. Tom (our guide) literally was an incredible teacher and he made me FALL in love with the sport and I found so much joy in it! We caught all lot of fish and fought with some BIG ONES! These people are So passionate about their art and they do an incredible job! Only place we will do business with! Thank you Tom! This was an unforgettable day!
What an AMAZING Experience!! Our guides Mal & Marty were OUTSTANDING! They were professional, knowledgeable and helped my 3 brothers and I with everything we needed during our fly fishing excursion to ensure we had a great time. We will DEFINITELY book this again in the near future. It was a BLAST! Thank you so much for making this a very memorable experience!
I had the opportunity to fish for 2 days with Cian and had a blast! I consider myself seasoned fly angler in Pennsylvania and still learned some new methods and had to shake some old habits. Cian was a great instructor, knew exactly where the fish would be sitting, telling me what I needed to change, and most importantly explained the why behind everything. That is how you learn! Hats off to you, Cian!
My parents also had a blast, my mom only ever touching a fly rod a handful of times. I think no matter who you get for a guide here and regardless of your skill level and knowledge of fly fishing, you'll have a great time!

Can’t say enough good things about the company and my experience today! Went solo without the hubby as I love fishing and he wanted to ski and I did not. Matt was my guide and he was so attentive and instructional and helped me be successful landing fish my first time ever doing it! I brought three nice ones in and lost two bigger ones (my error as a first-timer) but the whole experience is amazing and these guys are first class. Ladies, don’t be afraid to try it without the hubby or boyfriend- just go! But only go with this company and you won’t be disappointed.
My son and I had never fly fished before and our guide Ray did an excellent job teaching us all the basics and then some. We both caught some beautiful Rainbows. Ray was a fantastic guide, very helpful, patient and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend Aspen Outfitting for local fly fishing in Aspen and ask for Ray to be your guide!
What a great experience! I have been to Aspen many times and used this company for other activities but never for flyfishing. I started my day with an experienced guide, Lawrence, and he took me to Woody Creek to fish for trout! I loved that they put one guide with only one to two customers. Lawrence was patient and so knowledgeable. Loved his passion for fishing and the outdoors. He was so good at “reading” the fish so when they were feeding on top he would change gear and the same when they were feeding below. As you can see from the photos we had a very successful morning! Including a visit from a beautiful deer! What a great experience, highly recommend if you are looking for a great activity in Aspen!!
