Casual. De-luscious! So very wonderfully rich! We ordered their 2 course brunch plus raw oysters. The soup of the day was a creamy chowder, as was also the Land, Gulf and Grits dish (with beef debris and smoked Gouda grits) and the Cochon, de Lait and Eggs (with smoked pulled pork and pimento cheese grits). Would return to check out their other dishes!

We had friendly and competent service. The atmosphere was fine but the food was the weakest part of our experience.

We ordered the gumbo, bbq shrimp, shrimp bienville, fresh oysters, and signature grilled redfish. The first thing I noticed was how fast the appetizers came. It appears that these were prepared ahead of time and kept warm because they were slightly dried out and luke warm at best.

The bbq shrimp had a soggy coating that tasted like Buffalo wings sauce especially with the blue cheese dressing. The shrimp was rather small too. 2/10

The shrimp bienville had better flavour with the mushroom purée. Maybe it would be better hotter and less congealed. 4/10

Turns out I much prefer West Coast oysters. 5/10

The gumbo was fine. The alligator sausage tasted like any chorizo. The Gumbo Shop has a far superior gumbo. 5/10

The redfish was more flavourful with a small amount of crab meat. Not worth $39 though. 6/10

Melanie, who was our waitress was very kind, helpful, and very attentive. The atmosphere was nice and the food was outstanding. I don't leave a lot of reviews but I'm definitely going to start now. We had the raw oysters, wood grilled redfish, and their shrimp creole.

Frank was warm, well spoken, polite and made us feel comfortable! I love how when we would compliment our food he would say thank you by representing the pride he has to work there! Food was amazing but he made our experience the best!

Smaller menu tends to mean better food. I had the redfish, swordfish, crab platter, and shrimp and grits rounded out the table. I thought my redfish was a little under seasoned and dry, everyone else loved their dish. Also had the BBQ shrimp and BBQ oysters for appetizers. Both were good. Kid friendly place just barely on Bourbon Street.
This is a wonderful place! I was on a tour which started here. I couldn't have been any more pleased. Their gumbo was very good and their hurricane drink was made very well! I also really love the decor there.

New Orleans is a town for foodies. I am still looking for that essence of this wonderful destination. This restaurant owned by the Brennan's it quite the spot. Service was excellent with a very polished and attentive waiter who knew his menu perfectly and was happy to share and guide us through our orders. Drinks were great, food was fresh, served hot and nicely seasoned. I ordered their signature redfish dish with crabmeat and was very impressed. Tasty crab atop a beautiful redfish filet atop a bed of their seasoned potatoes. I had a very nicely prepared salad with local tomatoes greens and feta with a tangy dressing that was a great appetizer. Double chocolate bread pudding to end was quite tasty. Next time I will order coffee too.
My guests were equally pleased with their meals which looked equally fabulous. All said... Make your way down Bourbon Street and enjoy!
