I couldn't pay the troll toll so he tried to get in my soul.

Great part of canal restoration. You need a boat to go through it

It is a bridge. Just a fairly ordinary small bridge. I dunno why Google is asking me to rate this but whatever; I'm game.
If you desperately need to cross the River Calder at Fallingroyd then oh boy howdy, have you heard of bridges? Keep your feet dry (unless it's raining) and traverse the torrent beneath with nary a care in the world. What will they think of next?

Good for walkers of all abilities, nice and flat for prams and bikes.

Before this was built, the blockage of the Rochdale Canal looked permanent. It is now possible with a 54 foot narrow boat to do a northern circuit - that is from Sowerby Bridge to Manchester, and return via the Huddersfield Narrow canal. This bridge is built on a slight curve, so sound echoes.

To be honest this is probably the worst bit of the canal path in the Hebden bridge area as you have to passover the top of this and cross a busy main road with no marked crossing. One you've done this the rest of the walk between Mytholmroyd and Hebden is nice though.

Lovely area to walk but can be busy with runners, walkers and cyclists at times due to its proximity to a main road.
