There are many things I like about Chorley but by far the most important, customer focused thing about Chorley is the amount of free parking that is available around the town center. Free short stays, parking bays along Market Street (although there are clearly a lot of the shop owners who abuse this privilege) & clearly are not tackled by the wardens?. Parking easily with choice & the ability to park for a short 'bob to the shops' is vital for any town centre to survive....why would you not want to support your local trades...help them stay in Chorley....you'll miss them if they shut down!!!. Well done CCC. 👍

1 hour free !makes a change .

Best innovation by Chorley Council for past 10 years easily. One hours free parking!
Press yellow then green button for free pay & display ticket. I've made countless trips into the town centre to use the Fleet Street car park and usually spent my money in the various shops and businesses dotted around.
Previously, parking was a nightmare with predatory wardens patrolling endlessly it seemed, all enough to make you nervous about lingering or spending money in the town.
There are still wardens checking I assume but they seem to have a lower profile and it's a much more pleasant place to shop because of it.
It's seldom I have anything positive to say regarding Chorley Council but whoever on the council decided this was a good idea was right,
So I've taken the time to say as such. Well done.

Ventured here on a Sunday but wasn't sure if we needed to pay or required a ticket. Other car parks are free but require you to display a ticket.

long and short stay available. really accessible for town centre

Great price to pay for 5 hour stay def recommend

It's great to park for 1hour free or 3hours free with only a short walk into Chorley.
