Saw an interesting looking bird here the other day. Is it a cross between a robin and a starling? Or just an odd looking robin?
My fiancée lived in the Manhattan Park apartments for two years when we were in college, and this park was such a welcome respite from the city. To sit somewhere so green and relatively quiet in this city is so nice.

This place is magic, especially during the summer when all the trees are green and soften the noise all around! It seems like an oasis in the middle of an already pretty calm Roosevelt Island!
If you live on Roosevelt Island, this is definitely a place you should just come to sit down and relax. Taken the quiet ambient noise that is the city just forget about everything for a little bit. It's a great little place either during the day or at night. Just sit down unwind and chill out.
