Tasca do Ricky

Fantastic restaurant. Owner is very friendly, and the food is delicious. We got the porco preto, dourada, and the polvo grelhado. As well as the chocos and bacalhau as appetizers, and their house dessert. All amazing, I highly recommend this restaurant

This is by far the best food we have had in Potugal and Spain over the last 4 weeks . Try the baby octopus done in red wine and ink , the traditional cataplan and the grilled back pork. All three dishes were amazing ...out of this world for flavour . A must try if in Faro.

Highly recommend, nice location but food and service is outstanding, we could taste the quality and the love in the food, ordered different dishes to share and Ricky has been able to serve all the amazing food in the right order, from the most delicate to the stronger in flavour, couldn’t decide which was the best one! Harigatò Ricky until next time!

Great host but food is not to be honest. Tried my first Octopus dish. I have to say it is very blunt. Too oily. Wish had a wedge of lemon came with it and this would have made all the difference. Wife had a sea bass and it was a nice.

In my view it is abit pricy and ppl who have written reviews about have exaggerated a bit I think. Food is not amazing as many reviews says. Average it takes nearly 30 -40 minutes for the food to arrive. Well he says food is coming slowly as they prepare everything from scratch.
Well it is almost the same in other places. Except fast food outlets.
But host is good and friendly. When we went in all the tables were reserved as the sign was placed on the tables but only 4 tables were occupied for the whole night.

He may be playing Reservation only game.

Anyway wasn't very impressed with food.

Wow, googled ‘best dinner in Faro’ and it certainly was. Came in on a monday night with my partner who is SUPER picky when it comes to food. We both thoroughly enjoyed it - really fresh produce, amazing flavours and spectacular service. Special shout out to Melina, who provided exceptional service, knew the menu really well, chatted to us about the area etc.

Down an unassuming road in Faro lies a true delight. The Tasca do Ricky offers a concise selection of dishes, delicately prepared by Ricardo and his team with local organic ingredients and served with a touch of flair and care. The highlight being an option of a Francesinha, which given we weren’t able to make it to Porto in this trip, Ricky’s version more than made up for it. Can’t wait to visit again!

I can only recommend Tasca do Ricky. The food was just delicious! Best sea food we had in Faro. The owner himself served fishes and recommended his seasoning. Restaurant has unique, friendly armosphere with great food and selection of wines.
