Di Beppe is a triumph of old school Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is chic and playful, and they make a lot happen with the rather limited space. As Italians ourselves from Montreal who have eaten fantastic restaurant and homemade fare, we were expecting a solid experience. Instead, we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, we felt taken care of as if we were at a best friend's house. Both the hostess (a young European girl whose name escapes me) and our server Chris gave superb customer service and they deserve a shoutout. We shared a lasagna friti appetizer, a plate of carbonara and a fennel sausage pizza with a balsamic glaze. The pizza is some of the best I've had in my life, and I have sampled hundreds of different pizzas. Even the homemade spicy oil was phenomenal. Enjoying all of this with a limoncello spritz (or 2) added even more fun to the evening. Overall, I'd say this is a must try for anyone looking for authentic Roman style pizza and great drinks. If we find ourselves back in Vancouver any time soon, Di Beppe is going to be a regular visit.

Celebrated my partner's birthday here and our server Rob was attentive with our needs and friendly too. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty cozy and i'm glad we were seated on a corner couch. Food was so good we were trying to eat slowly to appreciate every bite. We ordered sourdough bread with balsamic, carbonara, puttanesca and tiramisu then they gave my partner a complimentary soft serve vanilla ice cream with candle. How thoughtful! We would definitely come back.

We were visiting Vancouver and wanted to try something local and authentic Italian Cuisine — this place definitely holds true to its reviews. We were seated within minutes of entering the restaurant. Our server Avery, was amazing. She immediately asked us what our dietary restrictions were and recommended items from the menu accordingly. We the two mocktails on their menu, margarita pizza and cacio e pepe; both amazing choices.
Please be mindful that this place does not serve chicken or shrimp. So plan accordingly. Otherwise, everything was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to locals and tourists.

Came here for dinner on a Friday around 6pm and we were lucky to get a seat right away. If you want to be here in the later evening, 7:45/8pm, I would recommend making reservations.
The menu has a lot of great options but my friend and I went with the Carbonara $29 & a prosciutto cotto, artichoke, olive & mushroom Pizza $29.
The pasta was delicious and rich with flavor and the pizza wasn't too bad either, the crust had a nice lightness to it and a great taste.
The service was amazing, very friendly and attentive - the ambience was wonderful as well, everything from decor to the crowd, it was a great first experience.
Will definitely visit this place again when I'm in the area.

The service at this place is amazing!! The restaurant and cafe was fairly busy and the server was still able to help us and fill our water whenever we needed. They also offered a complimentary tiramisu cake for a birthday celebration! The restaurant was very aesthetic as well. The beef carpaccio and salad were delicious, and I highly recommend getting them as appetizers. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza was also really good, and the portion was big as well for the smaller size. We also ordered the carbonara pasta, and it super salty :( the food is good but not amazing imo however I still do recommend giving this place a try!!

Di Beppe has a special place in my heart for serving my favourite carbonara in town. Located in gastown, place had a pretty casual vibes, though I do recommend making reservation just in case. Service was pretty friendly.
Carbonara ($28) 9/10
When it comes to pasta, I honestly like mine super traditional, which is what I found in Di Beppe. Good ol’ carbonara the way it’s meant to be with perfect consistency every time. Could be a touch too salty.
Eggplant, squash, kale, and chili ricotta ($27) 7.5/10
Love the pizza dough. Theirs is a Roman style pizza which I found to be lighter than NY pizza. Topping wise not really my favourite but pretty unique flavour combo for sure.

My friends and I loved our visit to Di Beppe! We did shared plates and the portions are pretty big so it was perfect. The carbonara, margherita pizza, and kale salad were delicious. They also offer coffee drinks in the dessert menu which I liked (ordered a vanilla latte), a good way to finish the meal. Our server was also so friendly and attentive! Would definitely revisit!!
