Valley Brook is a WONDERFUL tea house in DC— the only sitdown teahouse for proper gongfu cha service in the city. Yun Han is an absolute *wealth* of knowledge on Fujian rock tea, taking time to answer all of my curiosities (and a few misconceptions, lol)
Atmosphere is quite comfortable to bring a date or even by yourself to read a book or whatnot. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys looseleaf tea!
His teas are extremely high grade & authentic, which is usually impossible to come by in America, much less from the tea producer themselves in a brick & mortar location.

Lovely tea shop near Dupont Circle--the tea selection is fantastic, including both traditional hot teas as well as a few iced tea options. The tea team was very friendly and accommodating, and the interior atmosphere is elegant with pops of color from the lovely window art. Will definitely return when I have a leisurely afternoon in this area to enjoy tea with friends.

A fantastic tea cafe with a wide selection of delicious hot and cold teas! The atmosphere is perfect and the owners are just the nicest.

After watching the luner New Year event, we dropped by this tea shop, and we ordered the Lou Gui, the Dragon Beard and the pineapple cookie.
Their tea smells very nice and fragrant and tastes really good. The cookie was good and had the right amount to pair well with the tea as we did not want a meal as with some shops.
The staff was very friendly and explained about the type of teas they have well. So making a selection was much easier that way.
We are curious about other pastries and teas so will comeback when in the area.

This is the ONLY authentic tea house in DC. I was a frequent patron at their former location, and I absolutely love their newest location as well. The owners here are absolutely amazing. They are sincere, kind, and extraordinarily knowledgeable about the origins, purpose, and flavor profiles of the tea that they serve. If you want boba, sweet iced tea, or anything other than simple, delicious, authentic tea service please go elsewhere.

I love Valley brook tea. Everything about this tea shop is ideal. The new location is bright and comfortable. The tea is the best I have had; it is aromatic and flavorful. The treats are delicious too. The owners are friendly and helpful. You can have a mug of tea or enjoy a tea service. Valley Brook Tea is a special place and an experience in DC that is not to be missed.

Chinese tea house located in a hotel. The owner staff are very welcoming and take the rime to explain the tea options and experience. We took a cup of oolong tea, which tasted good and relaxed us. We also took their pineapple cookies, which were original and reminded me of the good luck cookies in china. Nice place to drink a good chinese tea.
