We visited a few weeks ago amazing place for the elderly

Not sure how it compares in price to other over 50s places but decent facilities and community.

The BEST. Wouldn't live anywhere else.

Lovely, well-maintained over 50s community behind McDonald's and Bunnings at Nerang. Located close to highway and 3x local shopping centres offering a choice of Coles, Aldi and Woolworths as well as butchers, fruit stores, medical centres chemists and discount variety stores. The resort has a security gate with a speakerphone system for entry. Features include a pool, small cinema, lawn bowls court, hair salon and tennis court. All homes are free-standing and there is a choice of different styles including both one and 2 story. Occupiers need to purchase their home but the land is leased to them (this enables the ower to claim Rent Assistance from Centrelink, which they would otherwise not be entitled to.) Golden Crest Majors publishes a monthly newsletter for residents which lists the large range of social activities on offer for both the active and the less active members of the community and includes some rather good jokes throughout. The names of the individual streets within seem to be taken from a Monopoly board as they include (among others) Leicester Square, Pall Mall and Picadilly.

Retirement villa,300 houses, just like a lovely small suburb. Wide streets for drivers. Cinema, gymnasium, outdoor bowls, pools,spas and saunas. Function rooms with lovely menu per person. Only pay for food. Bar , grounds are looked after & are beautiful.
