I used to come here as a kid and get the dragon ball mangas. Just came back here after almost 20 years and it’s nice to see the library is still here. So much has changed it’s refreshing to know a part of my childhood in an area I grew up in still exists
Lovely peaceful library, nice atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, has a quiet room to study and plug sockets for laptops. My uni is far so it's nice to have a nice local place to study or read sometimes.
This library is simply amazing!You can always find a cosy spot to read or study. The atmosphere is incredibly calm, inviting, and perfect for getting lost in a good book or focusing on work. Best of all, it's free for everyone; adults, kids,anyone who loves a peaceful environment!
Libraries are great for many reasons, and the importance of Acocks Green Library extends far beyond just being a repository of books. The Library was built in 1932, so it’s nearly 100 years old.
Acocks Green Library was built in modernised Georgian style, in sandstone bricks and Grinshill stone. The City's Coat of Arms is over the main door. The internal joinery is of oak, including substantial areas of glazed oak framing, and the floors and dados in the entrance hall are terrazzo. The building was refurbished 1994-5.

The library gives a community feeling. You see different demographics. The staff are very helpful and polite.
I recently went to the library after a long time but my experience here was amazing the librians were really helpful. But I must commend the Male librian who was especially helpful who helped me find the books that I needed and made sure that I had saved and sent a document to my email. Thanks and I know that you might not hear it much but thanks 100%. They maybe smaller, but their dedication has not changed.
