Great Basilica! Most beautiful church in Prague. But closed most of the time and no official opening hours posted anywhere that we could find.

The church was built in the 13th century for the Franciscans. It was built in the Gothic architecture style. The foundation of the original church was related to the acquisition of the relics of Ottokar I of Bohemia. The exact location of this original church and its appearance are not known, since the church was destroyed in a fire in 1689. The fire is believed to have been started by people working for Louis XIV of France.

Beautiful church in rococo style, you can theoretically get inside from 10 am but we were there at 10:15 and couldn’t get inside. We could see the beautiful interior of the church through glass though.

Wonderfully ornate and impressive baroque church in Old Town Prague within easy walking distance of Old Town Square. This church is free to visit but it does close during the day from 12 noon to 2 PM so avoid these times.
