Visiting this place allows you to connect with the spiritual essence of the past, where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once walked. Take a moment to close your eyes, immerse yourself in the historical significance, and cherish the spiritual experience.
Climate was very hot moreover tired but I finished the mountain end of the point and it is adventure trucking
The best time to go is before shubuh to see the sunrise and to avoid the scorching sun. The hike needs physical strength and agility. Make sure you stay hydrated.
This is steep mountain but thankfully the stairs make it easier to hike to the top!As an active and sportive person, it took me 40 minutes in total to reach the top (the top is where the people are praying in one of the videos attached). But I took like 6 breaks to enjoy the view, and take pictures. On the way down, it took 50 minutes.
Recommendations:
- Bring a couple of water bottles with you.
- Definitely wear a hat, and preferably a pair of sunglasses because the heat hits you directly, and it is pretty dry.
- The way to the Hira Cave is located after reaching the top (go forward and down the stairs). The cave path is pretty narrow as you'll have to squeeze yourself in there. So if you are not physically capable, better not trying.

About 1 hour to ascend , so many plastic bottles scattered event rubbish bin (trash bag) available, painting on stone. please watch your steps & be careful if you already arriving at edge of Cave
Great walk to the top but extremely polluted by plastic bottles and garbage left by the pilgrims. Really shameful to see the lack of consideration for such an important place in the Muslim world ☹️

This is a blessed place where the first “wahi” was sent to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with the word “IQRA”.
Wonderful experience to summit the mountain and visiting cave. However there is a clear lack of cleanliness by the government which should have been there for management.
