Took myself on a solo date here. I was immediately greeted warmly and seated. The views breathtaking. ordered the ceviche Javier, octopus a la parilla, and a pisco sour. Everything was super fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The octopus could have been more tender, though. The portions are generous and the drink was top notch. My server, Rafael, was very friendly and appropriately attentive. Wonderful experience.
Had a great experience here! Wanted to try Cuy and was recommended this place. Definetly worth going here, as it is a nice place with very attentive staff.

It was a bit of a dreary night in barranco when we got hungry and decided to go grab a bite to eat. We saw restaurante Javier up on the hillside and we’re recommended it by our hostel host and decided to give it a try! We ordered the Causitas de pollo as recommended by our host and also got a side salad and tequenos de queso. The portion sizes are HUGE here ! Our “side salad” had to have had at least half an avocado on it and it was humongous! We definitely could’ve only ordered one ! They have very fair prices as well! The atmosphere was wonderful. We just wish we came for the sunset or when it wasn’t rainy. Would definitely go back!
The location is amazing the atmospheres pretty good it took a little while for us to get the food . We did not get the food at the same time in my time I got my dish have two people have done eating. My daughter order ceviche and it was low and salt and lemon. But overall this is a great experience and is a good place to eat.
It’s very discreet and private. The food was at a reasonable price and good. The service was slow though, we kept getting a different waiter and waitress every time we asked for something and they got our orders confused. Still, I would just recommend because of the food and prices.
Mainly we came up here to try the Cow heart Skewers. And it was something good and heavy . The ambiance was so great . And the stuff was so friendly. My group would love to come back for more
Food presentation and quality has declined unfortunately, but the view remains great. Before and after pics of my various visits. Pulpo al olivo was smothered in sauce, with more sauce. Not the same quality. Chorritos served without the shell now.
