I did the historic tour and it's a nice, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. An informative tour, a stop at a Battle of New Orleans heritage site, and a relaxing sailing. Bear in mind though that the Mississippi River isn't exactly a scenic waterway. Mostly just mud, garbage, and destroyed docks and buildings.
Took the afternoon historical cruise after our evening dinner/jazz cruise with another operator was cancelled.
Very enjoyable with a very good and entertaining narrator. Had the buffet option as well which was fine and quite tasty.
Stopped off at the Battle of New Orleans battlefield site to visit the visitor centre, also good if you are interested in history.

Wow! I grew up in a town on the Mississippi River over 50 years ago and this is the first time I've been on a paddleboat. It was a great trip! We enjoyed the narrated tour, the jazz ensemble and the great NOLA lunch! It was very reasonably priced. We were so glad we came and the next time we have visitors from out of state, we will be back with them.
We capped off our trip to New Orleans with a Sunday morning Jazz Cruise. We opted to have breakfast before and just enjoy the ride and the music. The boat is spacious with multiple bars, levels, and seating both inside and out. Their Bloody Mary’s were delicious and their jazz band was also very good. We arrived at 10:15AM (for an 11AM disembarkation) to make sure we got good seats. On our day, we definitely did not need to get there that early but it was nice to have time to grab a drink and explore the different areas. Would definitely recommend for a smooth cruise down the Mississippi River 🎷
Great boat ride on the Mississippi River. We did the history afternoon ride. The gentleman telling the history of the city was great. He was very knowledgeable and kept me interested the whole ride. It was very relaxing but save your money on the buffet, there are lot better options in the city.
The location is easy to find. I encourage you to be on time to board. Regarding dining, you can do dinner before the trip and do a cruise only experience. We did include the dinner (first time), but it was a buffet with average Cajun food. The pasta was cold. The corn was exceptional. The gumbo needed more seasoning. The bread pudding was average, but what you would expect served to a large crowd. The food is good but not amazing.
The hostess (evening of July 3, 2023) was also clearing tables and taking care of many things. I wish I had gotten her name. She was an excellent employee who should be recognized for great customer service and pitching in all places.
The entertainment in the dining room and on the top deck was good and festive/fun.
If we knew before booking, we would have enjoyed an early dinner before boarding and took seats quickly on the top deck (as soon as we boarded).
Pro tip: Before the ride is completed, make your way to the back deck to debark quickly.

I went on All White Party to kick off Essence Festival 2023. My first time on Creole Creole Queen it was very nice boat. It had two levels upstairs was nice had open bar and little white benches to seat on to watch the water. When boat start moving feel a nice breeze. It was very to see water at night going down Mississippi River! When with downstairs to inside of boat nice dance floor with seating around sides by windows! You had two station for bar by dance floor and in back in King and Queen dinning area! They pay tab and food to purchases! The only thing was it hot in beginning standing in line to get on so many people once everyone got found place seat it was okay! I enjoyed my first time on Creole Queen!
