Excellent Mediterranean food at ZiZi! We ordered the six Z's, which is where you can pick any six dishes from a list. The standouts were the falafels (which is why we ordered two), the hummus, and the Frenah bread, which comes with it. We even ordered an extra third plate of bread because it was just that good.

I was craving for some Mediterranean cuisine, so I randomly found ZiZi and gave it a try. Loved how different Z selections. We ordered hummus, baba ganoush, and falafels. They were really good! Pita bread was also soft and warm. We also ordered overnight lamb. Compared to Zs, overnight lamb was ok. Nothing special. Tried better ones before. We got complementary chocolate mousse which was nice! The restaurant is a bit too noisy, so not suitable for date nights.

It's a Mediterranean restaurant located in Chelsea. Overall, the ambiance is good, and they have outdoor seatings available.
We ordered lamb meatball and shawarma. The food was good, but the portions were quite small (please refer to the pictures).

Zizi is a nice spot for a Mediterranean meal in the Chelsea area. The place has a rustic vibe, I am sure it would look good in the night with all the candles lighted up in the walls.
Liked their dip (Crazy Baba) and pita and the fact that everything tasted fresh. The portion size is good as well. Although felt that there could have been more options, especially in the dips.
Every item looked good in the menu so we ordered a lot variety. I must say I had more expectations, therefore, I felt that the food lacked flavors. It was more aesthetically pleasing, flavor wise just decent.
The shakshuka didn't feel like a shakshuka, it was a soup rather. The bread in the Mushroom sandwich was hard as a rock making it difficult to eat. The puff pastry was good and crispy but the dish as a whole was just okay. For a Mediterranean place, their hummus was too plain and basic. I have had better hummus in other Mediterranean restaurants in NYC. The only thing I can vouch for is their pita bread- really good and freshly made. Otherwise the food felt just plain and simple not extraordinary. They didn't deliver according to the expectations.
Also didn't find the staff to be friendly and engaging. They were just doing their duty.
I feel the restaurant has the potential to do much better.

Loved this restaurant! My husband and I went here for dinner before going the The Whitney. We were there early so not crowded. We ate outside which had great dog and people watching. We had the cauliflower for an appetizer. I had the oyster mushroom skewer and my husband had overnight lamb. Good options for vegetarians! Our food was great. The staff was very friendly and provided good service.

healthy meal! fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors and seasoning. Comfortable outside seatings. Pita couldn’t be refilled, would be charge $1.5 per unit.

As a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine, the bar was high when I went to Zizi, and they delivered!
I went with a bigger group so was able to try nearly all of the Z's, with my favorite being the Crazy Baba. It was different (and better) than other baba ganoush I've tried because of the unique charred eggplant flavor.
We also got the burrata which was delicious, but not anything to call home about. Special mention for the Qahwah Martini - if you like espresso martini's that have more of a spiced / chai flavor, this is right up your alley!
