The park is well-maintained, with manicured lawns and a variety of trees, providing shade on sunny days. You can see people strolling along the winding pathways, enjoying leisurely walks or jogging to stay active. The sound of birds chirping adds to the tranquility of the environment.

The park also features a beautiful waterfront area along the East River. As you approach the river's edge, you are greeted by a stunning view of the water stretching out before you. The gentle waves create a calming rhythm, and you can see boats passing by, adding a touch of serenity to the scene. Benches are strategically placed along the waterfront, inviting visitors to sit and take in the breathtaking views.

Smooth walking/bike path. Lots of people out walking and kids/adults riding their bikes. Car fumes can be an issue along with the noise they make.

Good city owned park, not an actual playground but, please BEWARE that people cut through the attached parking lot from both directions to beat the traffic light at the corner of 14th Avenue @ College Point Boulevard. I witnessed four near accidents between vehicles and pedestrians within an hour time frame here! People speed through and exit through the one way - entrance only and the other way to avoid the intersection light. This parking lot borders College Point Park which has basketball courts, handball courts and a lovely pinic area. Very concerning for the safety of your vehicle, people walking and children at play that may be enjoying the local park!

It's a large park with several playgrounds and areas for skateboarding and rollerblading. There is also a museum which charges based on however much you feel like donating for a ticket. I have had one negative experience there when I took my disabled sister to use the bathroom at the museum. The museum was closed for a special event that day and they were only letting certain people in, but an employee allowed us to go in just to use the bathroom which is right by the exit. We were only planning on using the bathroom and then leaving, as all the other bathrooms in the park are dirty and with less space, and sometimes don't have toilet paper, and an employee did let us in. Minutes after I get my sister into the bathroom stall, another employee comes in and yells at us to hurry up. Even if her co-worker wasn't supposed to let us in, that's something she should've taken up with her co-worker, not us, and she should've been more professional about it. She couldn't even confront us to our faces. She waited until we were inside the stall so that we couldn't see her. Other than that, I haven't had any negative experiences at the park or the museum. Queens Night Market is held here every summer and a great opportunity to try out a variety of foods. There are also street venders selling shish kebabs and hot dogs, around the park, regularly.
