Best food ever, they moved to 388 Spadina Ave so make sure you set map to that as not at Dundas street location any more. I hunted for them. Hope they update Google maps

I have come here twice for dinner to have the yang chow fried rice and would absolutely come back again. Service is quick and friendly, atmosphere is upscale, and prices are quite affordable.
The yang chow fried rice is also a step up from other restaurants because they include some cabbage, I very much appreciate the crunch and juiciness to go with the rice/pork/prawns.

This place makes excellent food. It is a little more expensive and add the tip into the price from what i was told.

Regular here (on and off) for 15 years. Fresh high quality food and great service. Never hesitates to accommodate a custom order.
Hasn't changed much since I discovered it, and that's a great thing!

A typical Chinese restaurant. My grandfather used to come here all the time when he was still around. They have decent food and great deals for their lunch special. I ordered their lunch special take out and got soya beef rice noodles and general Tao chicken, both for $22.60 after taxes but they take cash only for their lunch special so make sure to bring some.
The rice noodles was a generous portion, could've been a bit more seasoned but decent otherwise for the price, there's definitely a lot better out there. I was disappointed when I opened the container of the general Tao chicken to find out that it was sweet and sour instead but we still ate it and it was fine. The chicken was served on top of rice so you don't get as much meat but the price was fine so we didn't care.

Reasonable price and fairly decent food.

I love Chinese food but this place is the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The lunch special fried noodles were greasy and disgusting, immediately upsetting my stomach, and when I asked for a fortune cookie after paying for my order the waitress told me "No fortune cookie for lunch special". There was a huge bowl full of fortune cookies right behind her, and they probably cost about 1-2 cents individually. I never had experienced such pure contempt for a paying customer in my life.
Also the restaurant is filthy, I was second-guessing myself ordering there just based on the dirt and grime on the walls, tables, and murky green fish tanks - if there's any blessing to my trip, it's that at least I didn't order the seafood.
So to recap: Dimly lit and dirty restaurant serves horrendous, greasy and flavourless food served by the rudest staff I have ever encountered.
You can get infinitely better Chinese food at literally any other restaurant nearby, so do that instead and avoid this place like the plague. Incidentally, the plague may have been easier on my stomach than the food was at rol jui.
