This is kind of a hidden place at the 3rd floor of the building in China Town. From downstairs you won’t feel anything like upstairs. Once you get into the restaurant, you will wonder where all these people came from! The dim sum is always excellent. The ladies pushing the dim sum carts are always eager to provide anything they have. Price is fine. A good place to go if you down to some good dim sum and don’t mind the crowds.

Excellent! Cute Japanese decor, super friendly staff and great sushi. Sure there are places that are have better food but the bang for your buck and great service make this a 5 start review worthy place for sure !

Amazing experience here! If you like seafood, this is a great restaurant to visit. I would 100% recommend getting the fresh market seafood. If you are not a big seafood person, Moussaka is a must try!! I will definitely be back. Thanks Donatello for the excellent service.
Where do I begin? First time in Toronto and want to come back just for this food. In fact it was so good that we came back the next night! Chef Tony is AMAZING. I think you all should advertise more on the website getting to pick your fresh seafood from the counter. Such and experience and it doesn't get more fresh than that. Jason was also an awesome server. How is this place not packed every night. Get the halibut cheeks, get the fresh whole snapper, get the zucchini chips, get the freakin' lamb!!! Don't skip dessert. There craft cocktails are outta this world. I promise you won't be disappointed. It will hands down be one of your best meals, promise!

Came for a casual dinner. Staff were super knowledgeable about helping navigate the menu for what matches our flavour preferences and allergies. Reminded us of our vacation to Hawaii! Super tasty and satisfying! Definitely coming back and ordering as a staple meal

The food here is authentic and exceptional, unfortunately, I have to give it a low score because there was an ant 🐜 crawling in our bread.

While I appreciate that I was brought fresh bread upon raising the issue, I don’t think the health and safety issue was treated with the level of importance that it represented.

I’m hoping someone can get in contact with me; I’m happy to revisit the restaurant and this review under the right circumstances.
Best food ever, they moved to 388 Spadina Ave so make sure you set map to that as not at Dundas street location any more. I hunted for them. Hope they update Google maps
it's just horrible, we wanted to try chinese food and it was a terrible experience, we came and ordered a meal for me chicken in sauce and for my husband a dinner for one person, first they brought 4 dumplings with cabbage, although the soup should have come first! My husband started eating and I was sitting without my food, THE MAIN DISHES MUST BE BROUGHT AT THE SAME TIME!!!!! when I asked about the soup, the waiter started shouting that there should not have been 4 flatbreads but 1 and soup and snatched the food from my husband's hands and nothing explained! In adequate cafes, if the waiter has already made a mistake, he must apologize to the guests and calmly explain the situation and not snatch the food from his hands!!! Then he brought this soup and my food, but there was no longer any desire to be in this cafe and eat this food, it was just a desire ,so we left! this is the bottom!

Athena restaurant has a nice atmosphere and delicious saganaki. The cheese is crispy and gooey, and the lemon adds a fresh touch. The service is friendly and the place is cozy. I love this Greek restaurant!

We had a delightful dinner at Petros82 restaurant and were truly impressed by the quality of the food and the incredible service. Valeria was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The restaurant offers a wide range of seafood options and also has great choices for vegetarians like me.
I also tried a white Greek wine with was absolutely incredible.
Highly recommended!

Awesome Greek in downtown Toronto. Good portions and authentic tic tasting food. Could use a few more choices for the Greek food and deserts but the mousaka is worth the trip. Pricey but hey it's dow town Toronto. Pic is the appetizer trio and traditional Greek salad. Could have been the whole meal!!

We had the tasting menu. It was so goodddddd. Especially the oyster, scallop, and uni. Everything was so fresh. Watching the chefs doing their thing was the most special experience I ever had.
The lemon tart was a bit too sour for me tho. Other than that, worth every penny 🙌

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. We had the Berry Martini Mocktails, we found them to be the perfect blend of sour and sweet. I do have allergies and they were very accommodating. The beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth delicious, and accompaniments delicious. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi w Beef cheek and it was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend had the Butternut Squash ravioli, and it was buttery and satisfying. For dessert, the Affogato, biscotti, and Blu cake were the perfect way to round off. This is definitely the place for you to splurge and eat your way around the menu!

A nice family owned restaurant. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Honestly, not the best sushi I've had, but the quality was acceptable. The value of the amount you get was good, though and came out rather quickly. We had the spider sushi, green dragon, and salmon plate. All 3 were good but I highly recommend the green dragon rolls!
We went here for our anniversary, just to go somewhere downtown. It didn't disappoint. Husband had fish stew, I had lamb shank. We had appetizers and dessert. It was great. Loved it. Drinks drove the bill up.(: Lots of gluten-free options

Glad to see that Nami continues on! For many years, this was the place that my husband and I would go to when we got paid. While the faces and menu have changed, it still remains a great spot for sushi and robata.

- Great experience
- Live music loved that
- service was good
- menu for the average person may bring you to need some clarifications or addition explanation
(Hubby and I fine dine all the time, but this menu was a bit tricky)
- Watermelon Feta Salad was GENIUS, shouts to the chef on that creation
- tuna tartar 4/10 (was ok, didnt love but were not raw ppl)
- hubby loved the lamb and i loved the rissoto that came with
- I got the stuffed chicken 4/10 for me.

We did try and experiment with different dishes we normally wouldn't as to the low numbers but experience was great.

Would visit again
Loved the lamb skewers and unique dips (fish roe and garlic… it was SUPER garlicky!). Servers were kind and the portions were huge. Only downside was that there seemed to be a ton of wasps flying around.
It was my first time going to an authentic Dim Sum restaurant where they push the carts around and you pick what you want for the carts. The dim sum was really good and we had a great dining experience there for sure, all the workers were really nice and friendly as well, they’d show me what they have in the steamers when I didn’t understand what dim sum they had.
Seriously best dim sum in North America. Better than any in NYC. Food is fast, tasty, piping hot. Portion sizes are just right. Feels just like Hong Kong decades ago when dim sum was still excellent.

We didn't enjoy any of the dishes. We ordered quite a bit but didn't think any of the dishes were good flavours, textures were off, uni (sea urchin) from Peru had a peculiar taste too. Rice was quite odd in the futomaki.
NOTE: you walk into the building mall then turn left and you walk up the stairs. I LOVE HOW IT IS ALL DAY DIM SUM!!! The food was overall really good— I was impressed with how it looked like a regular dim sum spot but it was so beautiful and the food tasted great. The 麻婆豆腐、千層糕,皮蛋蘇,and 蝦煎餅 were all outstanding!! The only one that was pretty bad was the xiaolongbao/ pork dumpling. Usually xiaolongbao is supposed to be very wet and soupy inside but this was dry and it had NO FLAVOUr!? That is a signifier northern Chinese dish how can you not make it good?!?! But other then that the service is really nice, the servers are hardworking and are consistent with checking up with you. However some only speak Cantonese, and some speak Cantonese and English. So not all servers understand Mandarin…
It was already packed around 11am on Sunday but we were able to get seated right away. The portions of food were good but the cart barely got to us before they ran out of food. I was extremely happy to have soft tofu (豆花) in sugar sauce. I loved that it was very authentic.
Great dinner. Very elegant interior with high ceilings and very spacious. Food was amazing. Some highlights were the spreads and seafood salad, Pringles, lamb chops and the moussakas! Great flavours and good portion sizes. Great place for a date or dinner with the family.

I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday with family. I am stuck on how to review this one. I wish we could do halves but I guess I will round it to a 5 star. I will say that staff, ambience and decor are all spot on. We had the private booth in the back, a nice touch of traditional Japanese flooring but with the "comical" bottomed out seating so you do not have to sit cross legged. What I am hung up on is the food and its value. I know sushi is a huge market, and there are levels of quality you expect for certain establishments. For a very upscale restaurant, I was expecting a little more. I hate to compare restaurants, but I just find the portions here are something left to be desired. For the value you get from the orders, you just do not get enough. The quality of fish is good, some exquisite, but some other orders are why add this to your menu at all? An example is the spicy salmon, it just looks pretty similar to what you get at other spots but it might be more expensive with no real reasoning other than the spot you are in. It is a bit unfortunate, but otherwise everything else was fairly stellar. Though the complimentary ice cream was also nothing spectacular. It is a good unique spot for some dishes but not all.

Rainbow dragon sushi was really good. spicy salmon sushi was not bad too. The vibe gives you a unique experience and service was pretty quick. Although the place is small but it's cozy and the sushi is really good relative to its price.
Amazing experience! I eat at many Greek places and even went to Santorini, but this restaurant has left its mark on my palette. The dishes were all individually distinct and the service provided by the well trained staff makes you feel nothing but enjoyment and relaxation. Had an amazing time throughout. All dishes were great and had no issues with any of them. The squid ink pasta and lots of squid, very generous doesn't make you feel like you have to be careful with how much you eat it. They add edible garnish to most dishes and it's like a cherry on top. The bathrooms were all separated like individual stalls turned into their own room so you have full privacy. Feels very high end and all was enjoyable.

The place is very nice and elegant, live music was a great bonus but we couldn’t hear it on the 2nd floor.
The food was good, some choices were excellent (like salmon), but some were not (steak for instance, great sauce but the meat could be a better quality)
Overall, it’s a nice place

Nice Italian restaurant, perfect smiky staffs. Enzo was our waiter, they did a wrong salad with bacon (we asked without) and even they made a new one cause of our children got upset first, they didn't charge us. I appreciate.

Akila was a Host, kind and professionally welcoming.

The manager is from Mexico if I am right and he is supervising everything.

Other staffs I mean who brings the foods, waiter's assistants, should pass more lessons.

I liked the Ravioli, Tiramisù and the Salmon.

Nice vibe and interior, nice food.

They have a small menu. We got a tasting menu for $85. Small bar menu as well.

Tasting menu was overall good. It was filling. Nicely portioned. A variety of food. It was interesting. The uni toast was the best. I think they age their sashimi. Their sashimi was great. Futomaki and cod were good as well.

I’d come again.

We made a reservation for a group business lunch - we arrived a bit late but fortunately there were no problems with our reservation. We were seated and served promptly which was great given the size of our group. The food quality was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was a bit loud with the other patrons which the restaurant could not control but it did take away from the atmosphere a bit. The staff let us take our time and did not rush us out after we finished our meal and paid the bill which was great service.

I would definitely come back again in the future.
Great DimSum and certainly a Chinatown experience. Nice mix of guests. The service was a bit messy and we never got our rice but the food was great and the atmosphere what we expected. The place in huge and I imagine it often has Chinese parties celebrating (as was the case when we visited) which adds to the friendly chaos. We enjoyed it and would certainly recommend to people looking for some “authentic” food.

We choose Blu for my daughter's wedding dinner with a guest count of 26. The restaurant provided us with a nice semi-private space for our event, and we opted for a fixed menu that offered a well-balanced selection of 4 appetizers, 4 main dishes, and 4 types of desserts. It was wonderful to have the freedom to choose our drinks as well.

The food and the overall atmosphere were very satisfying. All the dishes from the menu were top-notch in terms of taste and presentation, leaving a spectacular impression on everyone; our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wished the newlyweds well.

Though the restaurant did an excellent job overall, I have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the live music in the second-floor hall was barely audible, and it would have been great if it could be made more prominent. Secondly, the guests were not informed about the menu items, leading to some of them not making the ideal choices for themselves. This resulted in guests exchanging dishes among themselves after they were served.

Additionally, I expected a bit more attention and involvement from the waiters, especially considering we spent around $4000 on the dinner for 26 guests including 4 children and 11 adults with soft drinks . Despite these points, the pleasant atmosphere and fantastic food make Blu restaurant a definite recommendation for family celebrations.

My wife found this restaurant online as we were trying to find a place to have a meal with another couple who had helped us although we had not met them personally. I saw pictures of the restaurant and the food online and thought it was a great place to dine in and have a good time. But, to my surprise, the service was below the standards of a restaurant of this kind.

The waitress who was serving us yesterday was impetuous. I was incredibly disgusted by the extreme rude behavior of this woman who threw things at my guests. She did not wait till everyone was finished to clear the table. The older gentleman who was sitting at my table was furious as he was treated badly. He asked the server if he did anything to offend her and she said no. 5mins later she came up with a bogus story and said that she has to go to Greece tomorrow and that is why she is so nervous. What? She is older than all the servers there and this is the answer we get for bad service?? What does she take us for? Idiots? She was looking away while serving everyone. She did not give us time to order. She did not know that the ladies should be served first. Her smile was not sincere. It was not a busy hour for the restaurant. Which means she did it on purpose. This woman should be cleaning dishes, not serving diners. I made sure the tip reflected that but no tip would have been ideal in this situation. The management should put a leash on her before she takes down the restaurant. This woman ruined the experience for everyone. I would not recommend this place to anyone any soon, all because of her.

Front desk was not super friendly but okay. Food was nothing special, just average. Atmosphere was very nice but little too noisy.

Just noticed that there are multiple complaints in the reviews about the service. I wouldn’t have complained if the food was bad. But if the service is bad, I wouldn’t let it go. (I had never met my guests before, so it can’t be just me. All four of us felt the same.)

However, the male staff is very nice, Courteous and accommodating.

This review is getting 1-Star because of the waitress. I hope this is an eye opener for the owners/management.
Saddest egg fried rice ever ! Period.
Any Chinese restaurant that makes this bad an egg fried rice should never be allowed to be serve food.

Attached pics for reference. It was just some dry rice & microscopic specks of egg at 14.50, woah !

Wow! Phenomenal experience.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday here and it was close to a flawless meal.

The food was truly outstanding.
We had the shrimp cocktail, the octopus, and the saganaki, followed by the whole red snapper from the raw bar and the lamb chops.
We then finished with coffee and two desserts, the baklava cheese cake and the loukoumades (Greek doughnuts).

Everything was perfect, with the exception of the loukoumades, which was just a little bland.

The service was friendly and “casual”, but really attentive. The head chef was lovely and clearly proud of what he does, as he should be. It’s certainly the best meal I’ve had this year.
We ordered scallops, sizzling beef, and fried rice. The portion was big and the scallops were fresh. The bread nest for the scallops was very interesting, but crunchy and delicious. The beef was good but the fried rice was okay.

Had Ubereats delivery from this restaurant for the first time, and was super happy with my “Two Choice Poke Bowl” I personally had the original Hawaiian ahi, shoyu salmon. Then the base zucchini noodles(extra charge). Sides being Hawaiian slaw, and seaweed salad then added avocado(extra charge). All the toppings; pickled ginger, crispy onions, spicy mayo, pokito shoyu, wasabi cream. I would definitely come back to try dine in experience. Everyone should try this place out at least once.
Came here for their summerlicious menu. Food was decent but for the price, expected slightly more. Presentation was great and ingredients seemed fresh, but just didn’t hit the spot. Maybe pricing is more of the issue.

For the appetizer (Hassun), seemed like they tried to cram a tasting menu into a single dish and so lacked the punch to bring any one component home. The wagyu was well cooked and flavourful but maybe could have used a few more veggies to accompany it. The onion that came with the wagyu was so pungent it tasted stronger than eating a raw onion (perhaps it was just this particular onion that came with my steak or perhaps other people would have like this). Tried a few sakes and their house Caraffe sake was actually quite nice.

The ambiance is great and service was outstanding!

Honestly the food was delicious and the quality of fish for sashimi and sushi is premium. However the agedashi tofu was disappointing and the sauce was rather bland. Wagyu steak was very good and well prepared, our only complaint was the slowness of the service, the absence of the server, the unclarity of the menu, we couldn't do any omakase courses because it was summerlicious but were only told after we had ordered, indications on their website are also unclear. Place is a bit overpriced if I had to be transparent.

The ambience of the place is okay but they had no AC and instead had to use fans. It definitely lowers the upscale of a sushi restaurant. I suggest you choose to sit in a booth V the main area because that area feels more like a cafeteria.

Another downside is how my Sake was poured. Usually sake are served in a shot glass filled up to the very top. This is the first Japanese restaurant where my sake glass was not fully filled. For 33$ the shot glass I expected better.

Great experience. Came with a group of 8 for a celebratory dinner with the summerlicious menu. Service was very attentive & patient, waiting for all members to show up before we order food. All courses were brought out simultaneously & they were full of flavour, hot & presented well. It was a nice night out in a beautiful location & I would return again for regular menu.
Dim Sum King in Toronto offers decent but unremarkable food, accompanied by average service. While the restaurant proudly displays famous people who have dined there, the overall experience fails to impress.

Mahalo iā 'oe !!
This poke joint is pretty dope, a solid lunch stop! I hauled The 420 Bowl on a ritual lunch dash which was made ready to pickup super quick.
My favorite thing was the fresh wakame seaweed was my first experience ever getting this legitimate seaweed from a restaurant, totally dope and digged it massively.
The bowl was hearty, wholesome and colorful but missing a bulk of actual greens and was more a concentrated superfood bowl of fats and proteins. It was super small and pretty much the same size as my palm but the same price as BYOB yet a lot smaller which didn't make much sense to me and I really didn't feel any value from the extra Chilli Pepper Tuna or jalapenos. Therefore, super yummy but honestly the worst value for money poké I have had before.
Support local businesses!
This place is a hidden delight. I loved the food here. There is such an authentic feel about this place and the people that work here/own it. Highly recommended if you want an authentic experience. I had 3 different types of sushis- shrimp, egg and imitation crab. The egg one was the best! And try the miso soup. It’s calming.

The place is definitely small and cozy. We had a very nice waitress. The food was good. I recommend against ordering single pieces of sushi or sashimi a la carte. It is a much better deal to get rolls or some kind of set of stuff.
I have come here twice for dinner to have the yang chow fried rice and would absolutely come back again. Service is quick and friendly, atmosphere is upscale, and prices are quite affordable.
The yang chow fried rice is also a step up from other restaurants because they include some cabbage, I very much appreciate the crunch and juiciness to go with the rice/pork/prawns.

Good food, slightly on the pricier side. Everything tasted nicely cooked and fresh. Service is great, attentive and friendly. We sat on the patio out front

Croquettes: nice and cheesy, crisp on the outside
Tomago temaki: the truffle overpowered the egg
Scallop temaki: our favorite bite
Bluefin futomaki: big pieces of tuna with freshly grated wasabi, really good
Omai futomaki: deluxe roll which are quite big

Could've done without the truffle flavor as it was quite strong that masked all the natural sense

Inside had a bar seating but felt very dark inside
They also have a tasting menu for $85/pp
3.4/5

The food is decent but way overpriced. The dine-in menu is different from the takeout menu, and the prices seemed abnormally high for the serving sizes. You can, however, expect authentic Japanese food of a certain quality here.

The Tempura and Karaage were hot and crispy and quite tasty. We ordered the sushi rolls and Tataki to be shared amongst us and these were good choices as well. The Warayaki Oysters were the only thing we weren’t a fan of as they were a bit fishy.

Although the restaurant was quite empty when we visited, our server was absent. We had to waive him down multiple times for water as he seemed overwhelmed serving other tables.

Overall, not the best experience despite the polite staff. I was a bit disappointed as we expected better.
LOVE IT. Street parking is a b*tch (cad$4/hour) but this spot is so worth it. I should’ve rated it 4 ⭐️ coz the service wasn’t the best BUT that’s how it is in Cantonese restaurants… if the service is good then it ain’t authentic.

While you are here… and still have time with your parking… drop by the souvenir shops and the asian supermarket.

Wash rooms are available and they give ice water!! ❤️

Tip you server well coz you do wanna come back to this spot.

Very cute interior, relatively slow service even though restaurant wasn’t full. The waitress never came back to check on us and we had to flag her down to get more tea. The food was tasty. We got the salmon bite appetizer and 4 rolls, which were all pretty good.

This is now my new favourite Greek resto on the Danforth. Ordered from the chef's menu and was not disappointed (had the Love Boat). Also got take out from the regular menu (Gyro dinner) and was impressed by the quality and portion size. Will definitely return.. Multiple times I'm sure, because I plan to eat my way through the whole menu.
Food was solidly good, nothing special but it was tasty and filling.

Service was terrible with taking 20 minutes to get water and no tea after asking. Even one fork they gave us was crusty and gross.

Restaurant was loud and didn't have good music.

Decent choice if starving and things are closed but not a first choice.

Really want to support local small restaurant, so figure I would try this since it is a block away from home. First impression the place is small and cozy. 2 men in the kitchen, one lady at the counter and another lady running around waiting the tables. Understandably it’s difficult for one person to serve 7 tables. So I didn’t say much even though it took over ten minutes for our orders be taken and water be served. Unfortunately the food was underwhelming. The maki rolls were acceptable, but the tempura batter was very thick and not crispy. Some sashimi was fishy. Others had too much connecting tissue. Overall not super happy with the food.

We came here on a Sunday night for dinner and started with two cocktails, a Shiso Negroni and Melona Bar which was honeydew flavored and was very nice and light. We had the bluefin maki, toro don which was the daily special, uni don, oyster caviar, black cod, and salmon temaki. All the items were very fresh and light. The service was attentive and the restaurant had a very nice ambiance. This is a great place for drinks and small plates and would recommend.

Very spacious and classy restaurant with delicious food and top notch service.

HIGHLY recommend “The Main Attraction” to select from a daily assortment of market fresh seafood that they’ll cook for you. The fish is SO fresh and the dish surprised me with how flavourful and balanced it was.

The 82 Board was also delicious, great flavour for both the cheeses and meats.

Service was on point and something that also differentiates them from other similar restaurants.

Ambiance is perfect for a group or a date, great music yet classy.

The guy who served me was very kind and outgoing. Food tasted good, but was small for the price. Fish seemed fresh.

Limited seating inside, tables had to be cleaned more frequently.

Overall ok place, nothing special imo.

Excellent combination of atmosphere, food, and knowledgeable service. Went here for dinner with my girlfriend and we ended spending about 140$ but everything was worth it all, we will return to try the tasting menu for sure. Highly recommend for enthusiasts for Japanese cuisine!

Had been recommended this place a couple of times and totally understand why! Shared the horiatiki salad, saganaki, soutzoukakia, tzatziki, melitzanosalata (eggplant dip), tirokafteri (spicy feta dip), moussaka and baklava, and they were all fantastic. The pita bread was also fresh and warm when it arrived.

The service was also absolutely incredible. Alexandros and Mubin were very kind, friendly, and welcoming and made our experience really enjoyable!
The dishes (Shanghai noodles, general tao chicken, etc.) are good portion wise but certain elements (larger noodles for the Shanghai noodles) could be changed. However, they do have great tasting dumplings with bonus cabbage on the side!

What a great experience, booked our corporate holiday dinner at Blu Ristorante. Yes this review is a bit late coming but people are still raving about the impeccable service especially from their friendly and knowledgeable staff (Mauricio, Luis, David and Nasir - I made sure I wrote down their names for this review)! Do yourself a favour and make sure you make it here at least once because the food was amazing, from the appetizer to dessert. I didn't get a picture of the all the options but these ones still bring back the memories of our night at Blu. Thanks to all the staff, and a shout out to Kamila (Event Coordinator) and Jeff (Manager).

I’ve been here many times, and I finally got a chance to do a review.
This is undoubtedly my favourite restaurant in the Danforth, Greek town area.
Their good is always great, their service is always excellent, and the restaurant is small and cozy.
Four of us went here for dinner, made a reservation for a Friday night.
Unique thing about this place is that they used to take you to the kitchen to show their specials for the day. After Covid, they don’t do that any more, which is a shame.
Regardless, the food is excellent. If you are a lamb lover, you will have many great choices.
We always start with the saga ski, just perfect.
We ordered the chicken and pork souvlaki dinners and the gyro dinner. All were excellent. The meat tastes so good, and the potatoes melt in your mouth.
They have an assortment of Greek wine, have tried a few of them.

We enjoyed some takeout sushi on Good Friday it was absolutely delicious and made fresh in front of our eyes as we waited! The lovely owner was kind and took great care of us, we can't wait to be back! It's also super affordable AND she made us feel like family :)
We came for the experience, and I’ll give 5 Michelin stars for that. The food was alright for me. It was fresh and imported from Japan. Overall, 4 stars seem right.
Our bill was almost over 400$ including HST and tips. Overpriced, yes; but if you are one who sees reality as something made out of multilayered experiences, this might be one of them.
We really enjoyed authentic Japanese dinner at this restaurant. According to them, this restaurant is one of the oldest Japanese restaurant in Toronto. I do not know if that is true or not, but what they served tasted real quality Japanese food. As for drinks, they have several choice of Japanese sakes (rice wine) and we can enjoy the difference of their aroma. Please notice that this is my very personal opinion, but their choice of sakes seemed a little bit too sweet, I mean they are good to enjoy by itself, but too sweet to drink with food. So in case you feel the same, it may be a good idea for you to drink a glass of dry white wine, not sake. Their food was quite delicious with white wine. At least I felt so.
We visited this place for a V-Day dinner. They'd decorated the place beautifully to fit the vibe. The food was great but I won't say it was exceptional. I've had better sushi for the same or at a lower price. The servers were dressed in kimonos, being true to Japanese culture. We were told that the last call was at 9:30pm and the restaurant would close at 11pm. However our server was persistent on us placing the last order by 9:15pm. Considering our booking was for 9pm, I thought half an hour was enough to decide the mains but we were rushed into it. My wife and I really liked the wasabi they had but couldn't really appreciate it as much since the plates were cleared the moment we took our last bite from a dish, without confirming with us.
Overall, their service could improve a tad bit.
Fantastic Greek food! Great neighbourhood joint that has been here for a long time serving delicious, quality food with great service. Will definitely be coming back especially to try their Saganaki.

We had their chicken souvlaki dinner- super tender with delicious char. My absolute favourite was the Greek salad on the side - the first olive experience that didn't leave me wincing because of how salty they usually are. Super creamy feta on top and fresh and sweet tomatoes.

We also had their village lamb - very hearty and filling. Would recommend ordering this if you're hungry.

Excellent food and good friendly service. Got the Build Your Own which comes with 2 mains, 1-2 sides, and toppings.

Have been here several times and the food is always fresh and tasty, particularly their creamy spicy salmon poke. For those with an aversion to spice, I'd say it's on the milder side with just the right amount of kick but I'm also a hot sauce lover.

The Hawaiian BBQ chicken is tasty but it's a tad dry and I'd like it more if it was served as a whole piece.

The sides, crab salad and mac salad, were fresh as always and not overloaded with mayo. Got crispy onions as a topping to add texture.

The hidden star of their food is the base which is garlic brown rice. Very tasty rice and better for you with it being brown.

Went for our Team lunch (party of 9) and everyone had a great time as both food and service were exemplary.

Started off with the Saganaki and Grilled Calamari for appetizers. We really liked the Saganaki as it’s not overly salty considering they used kefalotyri cheese. The grilled calamari consists of mix greens, is lightly charred and goes well with the bell peppers, onions, olives and vinaigrette.

For our mains, the dishes ranges from seafood where someone ordered the Grilled Whole Sea Bass & Fisherman’s Stew, pasta (Orecchiette Pasta) and meats - Braised Lamb Shank & Grilled Organic Chicken Breast.

The star of the show imo is the Braised Lamb Shank. Not really a fan of lamb due to their grassy/gamey taste but nowhere will you get this taste from Volos' lamb shank. Rich, juicy and flavourful, the fall-of-the-bone lamb shank is so succulent. Every bite sets off a happy fireworks on your tongue that you can't get enough of it!

Another stellar dish is their Saffron Pistachio Ice Cream. Incredibly creamy and with the predominant taste and smell of the saffron, I really love this dessert. This dessert is swoon worthy and not to be missed here.

Yes Volos is on the pricey side but the experience and quality of food alone are worth both the price.

Also one of the few restaurants who doesn’t add automatic gratuity for large parties which is surprising since almost all the restaurants we’ve been to are doing this. This practice alone will entice us into coming back to Volos.
At first, we are kind of hesitant to dine here because of its low rating. Thankfully, we did not go with the rating. It's a gut feeling that brought us inside.

The place is accommodating and inviting, and our server is very nice, pleasant, and helpful.

We ordered dumplings (chicken), hot and sour soup, noodles with shrimp and shredded pork, snow peas stir fried with garlic butter and bbq duck. All are highly recommended! Very delicious! 😋

This is my go to place for at when I’m on King Street. I usually order the Charisha Bowl which is Sashimi (4 types of fish) with rice, miso soup and salad. I also have the sashimi lunch which is similar. Also good on menu is Volcano Roll, avocado crunch amongst many other special rolls. Their fish is notably fresh, the chefs and lady who serves the customers are super friendly consistently. If you want Japanese at a reasonable price and great service then this is the place.
Regular here (on and off) for 15 years. Fresh high quality food and great service. Never hesitates to accommodate a custom order.

Hasn't changed much since I discovered it, and that's a great thing!

Great small cozy Restaurant.

The Restaurant 4/5: Really cozy but a bit too small. But the food makes up for the lack of space and tightness. Gives it a bit of a vintage Japanese restaurant feel.

The Service 4/5: waitress was really friendly and nice. I did get charged for an extra pop but I didn’t mind too much.

The Food 5/5: Amazing food. Rolls were over size but who complains about more food. Fish was really fresh, along with the salad and miso soup. Sushi pizza wasn’t deep fried so that was great. Tempura had perfect batter and seasoning.

Overall 4/5: Would come back and definitely recommend.

Great service, delicious food and an amazing wine selection! They have a great prix fixe menu for those going to a show after. If you’re going to the ballet or opera right by, this is the perfect place for dinner!
A typical Chinese restaurant. My grandfather used to come here all the time when he was still around. They have decent food and great deals for their lunch special. I ordered their lunch special take out and got soya beef rice noodles and general Tao chicken, both for $22.60 after taxes but they take cash only for their lunch special so make sure to bring some.

The rice noodles was a generous portion, could've been a bit more seasoned but decent otherwise for the price, there's definitely a lot better out there. I was disappointed when I opened the container of the general Tao chicken to find out that it was sweet and sour instead but we still ate it and it was fine. The chicken was served on top of rice so you don't get as much meat but the price was fine so we didn't care.

One of the best poke bowls I have ever had! We had the Shoyu Salmon and Sea Bass with seaweed salad, avocados and many other toppings. Very nicely seasoned and the sauce with lime finish to it was really good. It was shared between two people but definitely left me feeling nice and full. I would definitely have a bowl all to myself after knowing how good it is. Very excited to try other things in the menu, can’t wait to be back again!
Reasonable price and fairly decent food.

Tasty food, generous portion, clean and nice dining environment. Peas with potato was very rich and good to go with bread. Village Lamb is the best lamb I have tried so far in Toronto. Lamb is well cooked and rich in taste. Moussaka is good also. We dropped by for the first time but will definitely come back.

Update after few visits.
A great place for lamb. They have land special of a day over weekend or certain weekdays. Have tried their lamb special few times, never got disappointed. Village Lamb is their signature for sure.
House wine is good. You are not able to get it anywhere else unfortunately.
Service is great and the owner is nice.
We had a late night dinner here. The Sizzling Spicy Chicken was a little bland, but after adding soy sauce and chili oil, it was pretty good. The Shrimp and Snow Peas was delicious, with plenty of large shrimp. The inside of the restaurant is elegant and clean.

Amazing food. The sushi's were huge and probably double the size of what we get elsewhere. The owners were super sweet and gracious and u can tell are proud of the food they serve. We are 3 different types of veggie rolls and a shrimp roll .all th good was excellent. So happy to have been here. Highly recommend this place.
This place was amazing for dim sum! Very authentic Chinese food. The service was great! The food was served steaming hot and very prompt. This is a great place to go for brunch with family and friends. I will definitely come back.
I’ve been recently buying sushi for me & my family a lot from here! Even though I lived in this neighborhood over 20 plus years & wasn’t a big sushi fan! We always get just the California rolls. But will to try different types as I learn more about them. This place has made me a sushi lover now! Lol . Staff are super friendly & the food is always made to order & super duper fresh & good!
I love Chinese food but this place is the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant. The lunch special fried noodles were greasy and disgusting, immediately upsetting my stomach, and when I asked for a fortune cookie after paying for my order the waitress told me "No fortune cookie for lunch special". There was a huge bowl full of fortune cookies right behind her, and they probably cost about 1-2 cents individually. I never had experienced such pure contempt for a paying customer in my life.

Also the restaurant is filthy, I was second-guessing myself ordering there just based on the dirt and grime on the walls, tables, and murky green fish tanks - if there's any blessing to my trip, it's that at least I didn't order the seafood.

So to recap: Dimly lit and dirty restaurant serves horrendous, greasy and flavourless food served by the rudest staff I have ever encountered.

You can get infinitely better Chinese food at literally any other restaurant nearby, so do that instead and avoid this place like the plague. Incidentally, the plague may have been easier on my stomach than the food was at rol jui.
Great seafood restaurant but also has great traditional Chinese food. Steamed fish is a must have as well as the lobster. Good value and generous portions. They have live fish and seafood you can choose to eat.
