I will visit that place soon, but I consider that erecting a statue of the Mythical Seated Eagle in such an important place in the city is a beautiful and well-deserved tribute to the Original Peoples who contributed so much and continue to contribute to the present and future of Canada. This 18' tall statue is about a respected Stoney leader 'Sitting Eagle' (John Hunter - Irhe Wapta). Even though I've visited Morley for a few times, honestly I don't know the relationship of this statue and the Stoney people until I read the history behind. Thanks to this great art work located in the downtown area!
