The statue of Winston Churchill in British Plaza commemorates the friendship between the US and England. It was dedicated in November of 1977 and the ceremony was attended by Lady Mary Soames, Churchill’s daughter. I love how the great man is depicted with his hand raised in the V sign for the victory he never seemed to doubt.
