Great place to bring your kids for a walk and to run around. My parents brought me here over 25 years ago when I was a kid and I've been coming here ever since. I'm so excited to be able to share it with my daughter's generation. It can be windy so bring a windbreaker just in case. If you like to geocache there are some pretty tricky ones here that are a lot of fun to find. Enjoy everyone and remember to take your trash with you when you leave 🙂
In Victoria this Park is to the museum and great pictures can be done.

I live in the neighbourhood, this park has a great little playground for young ones, a tennis court, 2 pickle ball courts and a couple of basketball hoops, hockey net, a track around so your little one can learn to ride their bikes.
The playground is a great place to meet new and old friends.
The park is a social place for dogs and their owners.
There is a water fountain.
There is a parking lot in the park, drive along Saanich Road until you get to Leslie, turn down Leslie, and the parking is at the end of the road.
If you are walking, there is a newly installed cross walk on Saanich & Leslie to get you safely to the park.
There are rocks at the top of the park for the kids to play on.
This is a small park with something for everyone.
The only downside is the portable toilet. It would be nice if they built a permanent bathroom with a sink.
Great views ....nice walk by the ocean
Absolutely Beautiful. A must see if your going to Victoria.

Beautiful park, great for dogs, great for kids. Beautiful views of the water and lots of birds to see. We even saw seals! There were blackberry bushes everywhere (the kids loved them) and a big field to play fetch. Walking down a stony path took us to the water which the kids loved. There's a good outhouse that's well kept as well.

Great playground for the kids! Water refill station which is useful on a hot sunny day. Picked all courts are well maintained. I hope they can do the same with the tennis court!
What a cool little spot with a lot of history. I highly recommend stopping & checking out these beautiful totem poles. Also the oldest house in Victoria is right by there & an old school. We really enjoyed wandering around this area. Downtown Victoria has so much to see & do.

Love coming here with our family to walk the paths and take in the views. Often quite windy but such a great experience with so much shoreline access. Often more surfers and paraglides can be viewed here playing in the wind and waves.

This was a wonderful little beach park. Some nice benches to enjoy the view. Walking/biking trails, bathroom facilities. It is a pebble beach with some easily accessible tide pools. A nice little beach walk for the nature lover.

We were biking along the scenic coastal route, so we decided to stop and check out the view. You can see a great view of the Olympic and Strait, although it was pretty hazy when we were there. Lots of parking and benches also.
This is a beautiful park, we had a pizza picnic and then did a tour of the old gun sites and lookout. Amazing views!

This is a small park on the waterfront in Metchosin. From the parking lot there is a flat trail to the field area. The field area is the only part accessible for wheelchairs or strollers. There is a path to beach access and another path along the perimeter of the park. Beautiful views in any weather. The field is a great place for running dogs.

Worth the time, you will get peace of mind and full filing heart with endless waves and view of US mountains. The stairwell is really tricky particularly on windy and snowy days so take extra cautious duriyng winter season. Fire spring and summer is an alternative to cardio 😉.

World's tallest standing totem in this park. Indeed a place to know indigenous people and their culture.
Such a lovely place to enjoy the Strait and the mountains away to the south in the USA. Great "off leash" dog area and every dog loves to go and play with the waves and the drift wood.

We stayed in an AirBnB right at the entrance of this park and it was stunning! You can watch the cruise ships come and go, as well as explore the old barracks. There is wildlife to watch, and very friendly locals walking their dogs.

Excellent especially dawn and dusk times. Washroom open at Clover point between these hours and well maintained.
There is plenty of parking and the entire stretch has a walk path to walk and enjoy the beautiful sea and birds :)

The end of the park has a look out point and the starting of the walk path has a long pier to steps to walk down and enjoy the ocean waves even closer ! If you are lucky you will get to see some ships (pretty close) docked there !

Beautiful area with views of Olympic park and the waterway. Fairly accessible, can view from the sidewalk or walk down on the rocks. Parking lots is small, about 5 cars. The chairs on the rocks were nice to sit and enjoy the view and sounds.

Great place to spend part of the day.
Long sandy beach on one side, tidel pools on the other side.
Ample parking, public washrooms.
Benches and chairs facing the ocean.
Dog space, and a grassy area.
A nice place for a quick walk along the water, some historic sites and a beautiful view of the mountains!

A nice park alongside the ocean, plenty of sitting areas to enjoy the views and ocean. A great place to get out and take a walk. I was out here when is was super windy and rainy nobody was around, the Waves were big and looked awesome 😎👍🏼
The sound of Waves crashing is relaxing ❤️
Out on a sunny ☀️😎 Day is nice too.

Visited this little park to see if I could get a better view of the Race Rocks Lighthouse and I was not disappointed. I visited at the end of March when it was cold so I did not explore as much of the park as I wanted to but what I saw was beautiful. Lots of picnic areas, trails and beaches. The view of the lighthouse was really good too. Very nice park and facilities. Great view of the Race Rocks Lighthouse in the distance.

This park is well worth the visit. We’ll groomed trails walk you through a historic military site with interpretive information and great views or Victoria and towards the Olympic Mountains. This is a high calibre (no pun intended) park with free parking and no entry fee. It’s dog friendly… a real local gem.

Walkable and drivable! Little mountain inside the urban city, so you get to see the 360 degree view of this amazing tourism city. 180 degree of ocean and 180 degree of mountain, nothing better than this!
A beautiful view with lots of hiking trails in every direction. A great place to have a walk in nature. Plenty of parking and a port a potty.

It's a minimalist location. More of a park with heritage to experience. It's changed over the years. There used to be more totems but things get old and totems are supposed to degrade over time. It's great that our indigenous people have a place to display their heritage. I always enjoy seeing the display here. I hope it continues.
Well worth a goat like scramble up, dogs to be kept on a leash, not overly busy beautiful place for city dwellers

As mentioned before… all parks automatically get 5 stars! This park is high (geographically speaking). This makes it extra special. This is the peak of the grind for many urban runners/walkers/bikers in Victoria and people push themselves to the limits to make it up the hills to get here💪🏻.
I see this as I’m sitting in my car at top parking lot admiring the expansive views.

Magical forest straight out of a fairy tale, lots of tall trees, ferns and a little stream.

Probably takes about 20 minutes to complete, so decent walk.

Fairly quiet with only a few people per walk. Love coming here with my dog so we can both let go and enjoy nature!

Very interesting place for a hike, some nice well maintained paths with many areas to go off path. Very tall trees and small shrubs along the way. Some elevation in the areas, but generally pretty flat - some large roots to be aware of.

Our 3 year old, who loves sandbox features, loves coming here. A lot of the play structures are too big for 2-4 year olds, but there are good swings, a small slide, and the aforementioned sandbox (with complimentary toys) if your kids have scooters or push bikes there's a great track around the park and dog area too. RIP pickleball 😂

A great park with lots amenities such as; accessable swings, sandbox with toys, lots of seating areas, two tennis courts, a medium sized feild where dogs can roam, a basketball court, porta-potty bathroom, parking and water bottle/water fountain refill station! What more could you ask for in a park. :)

Here you can see the sun go down and it's beautiful. You will have a different feeling. You watch and watch for a few minutes before the sun goes down. Is it the same in life, cherish the people and things around you, and the fleeting life.
Great little hike through lots of interconnected paths ultimately leading to the rocky grassland-like area up above. A perfect spot for picnics or a game of bocce ball. But also beware; lots of little rose bushes around the area.

I spent a year living close by. Every morning at dawn I would run along the breakwater from Ogden Point to Clover Point and count birds along the way. So far I've seen two Herons, incredibly a Harrier, uncountable Mergancers, sparrows, hummingbirds, mating displays, a large bird of prey, an eagle and a submarine. One of them was smaller than I had expected.

It was a bit hard to find the street entrance when following Google maps so we accidentally went up the wrong way and found ourselves in someone's yard. That was awkward. But the view is amazing and sitting up there watching the sunset was definitely a trip highlight. Plus, so many lovely kinds of moss to admire!

It's a beautiful place to relax and sit alone looking at US mountains. I went there at night and it was still beautiful. The house below the rocks looks like a haunted house though 🤣🤣 You can even park your car and chill on the side. Lots of parking available and hardly 2 or 3 cars come there.

This park is truly a hidden gem, hiding amongst the back streets of downtown Victoria, this dwarf mountain makes up for a spectacular view of the city, and our neighbouring country MURICA. There are no paths to the peak, making the journey difficult for the physically abled and only for the most extreme wheelchair enthusiasts.

This is a local dog running park with a beautiful view. Be aware that there is no access to the beach despite that some of the posted pictures suggest it. The park is mostly surrounded by private properties and accessible from a trail. There are a few benches to sit and enjoy the view and the sunshine.
Amazing unobstructed beautiful views of the Oceanside. The day was perfect and we enjoyed a little bite to eat while taking in the sights. The kids enjoyed climbing on the rocks and trying to get the best vantage point. Plenty of birds, boats and people all taking advantage of what the island has to offer. This was our first time here but definitely not our last as this seems like it could be a great area to view sunrises and sunsets so we want to check that out.

Fabulous park that we almost missed out on. We were confused by the locked gate and no parking signs every where near the entrance. Glad we took a chance and parked further down the street. The park had lots of pathways leading to the water and along the water. This is a great place to walk your dog and/or enjoy great views of Juan de fuca straight. There are benches along the look outs and even a picnic area. The park signs say the park is only open from dawn to dusk however. Overall a really nice park well worth the visit.
Beautiful open view of the ocean. Great place to have a bike ride or take your fur babies🐕. There are stairs approximately 400 meters apart leading down to the beach below. Amazing place for pictures for sure, especially sunsets. Plenty of people trying to get in their vitamin D and exercise, so remember to be mindful of your distancing. Beach is more rocky in places than sand when you first get down the stairs. Great place for picnics or just plain old fashioned relaxing on the beach

Great playground, dog 🐕 park, tennis 🎾 courts, pickleball court, rocks to climb, basketball 🏀 court to. Port a potty if u r desperate, lol.
Perfect place to view the sunsets, that being said, we were late to view it. It was cloudy but the sun was visible at points. It was our first time here, found it by fluke as we were leaving one destination for another and saw the sun break through the clouds and wanted a vantage point without all the trees that line the sides of the road. Seemed to be a popular place as it was somewhat filled in the upper and lower parking lots. Would definitely love to come back and relax and watch the sun cross the sky. Would recommend stopping in and take in the view of the city and the skyline..
Loved the area, so much to see. There are multiple viewpoints to look at the beauty that surrounds you. Little islands filled with various types of birds and seals. I've got to come back for a sunset here as the ocean is wide open for your enjoyment. There are trails that lead off into multiple areas. There are a couple of picnic tables at the top of the big open area and some benches placed throughout as well.
Absolutely love this area of Victoria. Moved to Victoria a few months ago and stayed at an Air BnB across the street from this park. It quickly became my favourite area to talk daily walks with the pup. Gorgeous coast line, plenty of places to sit and even walk down to the beach. Favourite part is watching the fog or a storm roll over the ocean. Definitely recommend walking the path!

What a great collection of amazing Indigenous artwork! There are several totem poles of various designs all within close proximity to one another. If you're in Victoria, you should take the time to walk through the park and check out these totem poles!
This is one of my favourite view points in Victoria. The scenery is breathtaking with an over view of residential Victoria, with the Salish sea and the Olympic mountains as a backdrop. The sunset lights up the sky in the evenings and at night the moon twinkles like diamonds on the waves as boats silently glide across the waters.

Such a beautiful park with an amazing view! A very short distance from DT victoria and nice to just go for fresh air! No hike involved for a beautiful view either, which can be a plus for those who don't like going through the trails to reach a scenery. What an amazing nature we have on the island! Beautiful! Great place to walk your dog, relax on one of the park benches/picnic tables. Amazing views throughout the trail. Trails are well marked and easy to follow with several smaller trails leading onto the rocks and shore. Some of these are quite narrow and steep, and can be dangerous. Recommend staying on main trail if you have children or pets.

This is a hidden gem in Victoria, one of the most beautiful places for sunrises or sunsets, and it's right in the city. Park down at Sir James Douglas school if it is outside of school hours. The then walk up Masters street.
