Great park with playgrounds for all ages, a bicycle pump track, swings, a walking track and a big field for running dogs. Could use more parking but otherwise great.
It was an amazing experience visiting this historic site and all the more beautiful made by the beautiful Fisgard lighthouse! The Canada Parks staff was also very friendly, helpful and explained the history very well. Kudos to those amazing people! Highly recommend!
A great stop for us, from the excellent staff who were very polite and helpful. To learning about the history of the fort and the amazing lighthouse. We just walked around and took it all in, well worth a visit and inexpensive.
Fisherman's Wharf Park in Victoria, BC, is a picturesque waterfront destination that perfectly encapsulates the city's maritime charm. This vibrant park, located just a stone's throw away from the Inner Harbour, is a beloved gathering place for locals and a must-visit spot for tourists.

The park's defining feature is the iconic Fisherman's Wharf, a floating community of colorful houseboats and restaurants that have become an emblematic part of Victoria's character. These charming houseboats offer a glimpse into the city's maritime history and a lively atmosphere, where visitors can indulge in fresh seafood, unique boutiques, and breathtaking water views.

Fisherman's Wharf Park extends beyond the iconic houseboats, encompassing a beautifully landscaped area with picnic tables, benches, and grassy spots for relaxation. This is where visitors can enjoy picnics, sunbathe, or simply take in the stunning vistas of the Inner Harbour and the Olympic Mountains in the distance.

The park's location is ideal for various water-based activities. Kayaking and paddleboarding are popular choices, allowing enthusiasts to explore the harbor's calm waters. And for those seeking marine life encounters, the park is a starting point for whale-watching tours and wildlife adventures.

One unique aspect of Fisherman's Wharf Park is its friendly inhabitants – the harbor seals. These curious and photogenic creatures often swim near the docks, entertaining visitors with their playful antics.

Fisherman's Wharf Park is more than just a picturesque spot; it's a hub for community events and festivals throughout the year. From live music performances to food festivals and art exhibitions, the park fosters a sense of togetherness among locals and welcomes visitors with open arms.

In summary, Fisherman's Wharf Park is a quintessential Victoria experience. Its combination of stunning waterfront views, lively houseboats, and a warm community atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the capital city of British Columbia. Whether you're seeking relaxation, marine adventures, or a taste of local culture, this park has it all.
Our kids love this park so much!
Completely out of this world. So cool, it drove me nuts. Actual real floating village with residents. Just fantastic!!!!!
Please note: If you are a careless parent, there is nothing there to stop your "king child" to tip over in deep waters.
It may look like a playground, but it's not.
I went to the fort and light house late in the day. Most things were shutting down so it is hard to give an evaluation. It was a great place to visit to see the fort and lighthouse.

Good grass on soccer field. Clean washrooms.
Nestled along the picturesque waterfront, this place is a vibrant and enchanting neighborhood that offers a unique and unforgettable experience...a traveler's paradise. Stunning houses on the water with their vibrant and eye-catching colors, looked like something straight out of a postcard. Whether you're in the mood for fresh seafood, international cuisine, or classic American dishes, you'll find it here. It's a place where these vibrant houses, delectable cuisine, and stunning views come together to create an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a foodie, a nature lover, or simply seeking a slice of picturesque San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to return to this colorful oasis by the bay.
Best experience ever. Once the park closes for the day you get the place to yourself. we rented a oTentic for two days in the park. The tent was amazing, well cleaned and well kept. The park host was super friendly and check in after hours was super easy. It was peaceful roaming the grounds after-hours. I would highly recommend staying in the park if you can.
Great area. Lots of choices as far as food goes. We were there to go on a shake watching excursion with Eaglewing tours which I highly recommend. Put us on whales the whole excursion.

Fisherman's Wharf is a distinctive marine location with shops, food kiosks, floating houses and some tour agencies. There's a store selling fresh kinds of seafood or they can cook them for you but expensive. The floating houses are colourful and the water taxi is interesting. The ambiance is festive and lively but the washroom is terribly messy. Closes at 9:00 PM.

There is a park nearby with a small kid’s playground and few picnic tables. The sunset overlooking the water is beautiful.

Jogging through Beacon Hill Park was one of the highlights of our trip to Victoria. There are so many trails, vistas, and water features. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place. I went early in the morning and spotted gorgeous peacocks!

Wonderful hidden gem! Great dog off-leash area with nice gravel trail and lots of grass to run around in.
The playground is cool, but the washroom nearby is way too dirty. The splash area (next to the playground) is small and dirty with leaf piles and someone else’s socks. I saw some children play with the socks and their parents did nothing to stop them lol. Overall, it’s a bit overrated and I won’t return.
Large off-leash area with maintained walking path. Not completely fenced in as it has several entrances without gates to access the off leash area.
Over many years, we have had the wonderful opportunity to visit Victoria, BC so we were excited to stopover on the return to port of Seattle. OMG has this place grown. It's a wonderful visit. We tried something new Fisherman's Wharf Park. It's delightful. Floating homes, etc. Very colorful. There is a nice Mexican place there too.... yep we're from AZ/CA and it was nice have good Mexican fare in Canada!. Very nice shops too. Friendly people everywhere. Highly recommend you walk from the docking area to the Fisherman's Wharf Park. It's very nice, clean and well organized. Loved it. We shall return to Victoria!

This destination is perfect for seafood lovers, with many fresh plates available. The colourful floating homes and wooden pathways create a visually pleasing atmosphere. It's a great place to spend the entire day, with its open and friendly environment and tasty food options everywhere. Overall, it's an ideal location to unwind and relax.

Good park. Outhouse needs a serious overhaul though. Has an off leash dog area, playground, skate park, and some outdoor exercise equipment.
A local gem. Limited access by car.
Only possible from Tolmie Avenue. (Cul-de-Sac)
Such a precious and peaceful place that I wish not too many people know! We spent two and a half hours here. Various historical sites to see; the brochure was helpful. The lighthouse, blue ocean and beach with white seashell pieces are so pretty and dreamy.
Great little playground in a beautiful clean park. Designed for 3yr to 8 yr olds without elements for older larger children. The metal slides can get hot in the sun. There are bathrooms and a water fountain close by, as well as a gazebo with a picnic table and many other benches and picnic tables scattered around. A small, very simple water play area seemed to be non-functional.
Park is meant for smaller ages. Unfortunately when we visited the zipline was missing the moving mechanism. So there was not much for my niece (9 years old) to do, the playground was younger ages and we were too late for water. Otherwise a great and well kept park. Nice baseball fields and tennis courts.
Beautiful place to spend the entire day with friends and family. They offer kayaking and whale watching experiences. There are a few food joints, but I wish there were more varieties available specifically for vegetarian.

Lovely place to watch dogs, friends plus kids having fun. Ahh, the fresh outdoors..
The park was super straightforward to get to by car. The grounds were beautifully kept and had tones of great historical sites to visit. The Nature Trail and Fighting from the Homefront exhibit were particularly great. Would highly recommend even for the gorgeous views and beach access.

Love watching baseball there. Nice snack bar with good food and friendly staff. Lots of bleacher seating at both fields.
Lovely play park. Kids had great fun in a beautiful park setting. Well looked after. Clearly take a lot of pride in their parks.

Edit: Any time of year is excellent in Beacon Hill Park, but Spring is special. There is so much to see and smell and hear! There are so many things happening, it is difficult to know what to talk about! I do know my Favourite s are the Herons !
Especially as we see them flying to and from their nests from our apartment. To the waterfront at night to load up with food for their Mates on their nests, and soon, for the young ones that will be arriving.
And flying back to their nests in the morning to deliver their nightly haul. Fighting whatever winds may be blowing!
The Park is like a World of its own. With the wildlife, myriad of plant life, and many lakes and ponds , one may spend any amount of time, enjoying the spectacle.
Such a nice place to visit. I can't believe I have been here in Victoria for more than one year and never been to this place. Should have visited sooner. The lighthouse is a feast for the eyes and the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. A nice spot for picnics as well. The only thing to remember is that they close the premises at 4 so, going early is a good idea.

Small hilltop corner of nature. Excellent for RC rock crawlers. I see groups of hobbyists through the window very often :)
Great place to visit. The fort and lighthouse are well maintained with lots of information. Staff was friendly and cost of entry was very reasonable. Picnic tables and grassy areas are plentiful for but so were the Canadian geese. Visited at the end of March and got there just after 9 when the fort opens to get lighthouse pictures without a lot of people around. There is a lot to see and do here.

Great views from the platform
It's a lovely small rocky/grassy outcrop with really stunning sunset views. There are no peacocks here though, if that's what you're looking for! Those are at Beacon Hill Park.
Beautiful park with abundant wildlife - peacocks and peahens, squirrels, geese, ducks and the occasional deer. The beacon hill park grounds are huge, so park near the children's farm on Circle Dr for a short walk to the play area. Play area is clean, with swings and multiple slide/play sets available. There is even a fountain for kids to play in on hotter summer days.
Lovely play park. Kids had great fun in a beautiful park setting. Well looked after. Clearly take a lot of pride in their parks.

It's gated safe for little ones , lots of shade. Something for every age level, recommend bringing water shoes the rubber mats are hot to walk on. Bathroom facilities available. Lots of fun. Zip line ball.
Great place for dog owners and families with young kids. It could do with some sun shades and additional picnic spots. Beautiful treelined waterways to explore cautiously.

I love this park. It's very small and mostly one you will walk through rather than site and enjoy, but it has a great view and very well defined paths. If you follow the paths down, you can end up near a rail track thats used for walking, or in a neighbourhood with another trail you can connect to.
It's a shame that this park doesn't connect to Mill Hill; would be a worthy trail to make if there's someone from Viewroyal city council reading this :p

This park has really well-maintained grass and softball areas. My dog and I walk through there often, and he likes to lay down on the grass in the shady areas. At the other end, though, is the fairly run-down tennis/pickleball courts, lacrosse box, and compound for basketball and kids' activities. I don't have much need to go into these areas, but despite being in need of an update, they are highly popular. And there's the kids' water park that was always a great experience for my kids when they were younger!

Overall it's a decent place to come to, especially for softball or walking your dog. Oak Bay has a plan to upgrade the facilities, over time, so this park will get better and better!
Great views, lots of rocks, not really suitable for everyone because it’s easy to topple off these rocks but most will be okay ✅

Great little park that has a playground that has a few picnic tables, playground for age 2-12, a large grass area, and a small forest with a little creek. 3 mins (walking distance) to Copley West Park, which has a parking lot.

No public washroom. Something for family with small children to consider.
This playground is absolutely awesome. If you are visiting Victoria and have kids this is a must.

The playground has something for all ages. It is well kept and a very busy spot so kids will have lots of opportunities to play with new friends.

Nearby washrooms are clean and well supplied. The playground is inside Beacon Hill Park so it is maintained regularly.

Plenty of open space for picnic blankets. A covered gazebo for those days that are a bit wet or too sunny. Picnic tables are plentiful as well.

There is free parking nearby as well for those who need it. Many nearby attractions also make this a great spot to start at for a day of fun.

Overall a definitely great. Don't miss this gem hidden in Beacon Hill Park!

There are a couple different fenced in baseball diamonds as well as a concession to cater the players and onlookers. There is free parking in a very large paved lot. There are bathrooms beside the concession as well. For kids there is a big playing park away from the diamonds. This is a park that has an abundance of walking room for dogs too. They will not be interferring with the play park or either baseball field. This park also has the Colquitz River Trail running alongside, which gains easy access.

This park gets very swampy for the rainy season. It has two baseball diamonds that can be closed. It is a good dog park for the winter months as you can leave your dog off leash within the baseball fields and close the gates. The playground is ok for younger kids. There is a Shaw WiFi for ShawOpen.
