We think it will much nicer later. When we are there, all the path are closed except the bridge.
It may takes years to get it all done. It's a cloudy day so the parking has no problem. If it is a nice day, the parking will be not enough.
The view from the bridge is still good. Hopefully, it will add more parking later.
There are one bear proof garbage bin in this area but it is too full. The pizza box and some food are outside of the hand holders. It may attracts bears come to this popular path.
We hope that the City of West Vancouver can make sure the bins are clean up even on weekends.
Beautiful place to take a walk or run. But be cautious about sunlight as it gets irritating some times in a day. Parking are easily accessible around the trail.
Going here in the evening was pretty cool. Not many people, so parking was good.

Looks like the area is still being worked on, but the part we walked on was pretty cool.

Gorgeous views for sure!!
Take the lower trail on your way towards the lower waterfall. You get an excellent view of the full waterfall from the lower trail. You cannot see the full waterfall from the main trail.

Great little hike, found the waterfall by accident while hiking to the lake!
Nice fall and bridge! The amount of water in the fall varies depending on the time of your visit. Lots of trail systems including Baden Powell so you can choose the length of your hike.
It’s nice to include Hollyburn fir (really big tree), upper stream fall (smaller one), and lakes (lost, blue gentian, etc).

An Intermediate Level Hike to The West Knob Lookout, once past Whyte Lake. Not as many people on that part of the Trail as there are, to and from, Whyte Lake.

It is steep and the trail narrows as you reach the lookout. I give it 3 Stars because the Effort put in, doesn't really make the View worth it...especially, if others beat you to the rock for looking out. The view of Bowen Island is nice, as well as looking over to Vancouver Island, if the weather is clear like it was today, when we hiked it.
The only warm ocean water for children to swim in the region.
Perfect for toddlers, no matter how far they go, it won't be deep.
When it is low tide though, it is really low. Water goes hundreds of meters away from the beach line.
A good easy walking path for families, not complete as a loop, because of undergoing construction, it will be more beautiful when it completes.
My favorite place to walk - on any day. The views are always spectacular, with some absolutely spectacular sunsets!
If you're looking for a beautiful spot to capture the perfect sunset photo, look no further than Trestle Bridge at the Mountain Path in West Vancouver. Located just a short drive from downtown Vancouver, this hidden gem offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding mountains.

The bridge itself is an architectural marvel, with intricate wooden details that make for stunning photos. But the real draw here is the view. As the sun sets over the water, the sky explodes into a spectrum of orange, pink, and purple hues that are nothing short of magical. You'll want to stay here for hours, capturing every angle and moment as the light changes.

The best part? This spot is relatively unknown, so you won't have to fight the crowds for the perfect shot. Whether you're a professional photographer or just someone who loves a good sunset, Trestle Bridge at the Mountain Path is a must-visit destination. Just be sure to bring your camera, because once you're here, you won't want to leave.

Overall, I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque place to capture sunset photos.
Beautiful sea wall walk. Less crowed than the other side of the bridge!
Absolutely beautiful hike. A bit of a difficult hike. Not for the inexperienced. Loved it and definitely coming back.
It's a great hike. Would take less than half an hour. The trail is rough, better to go prepared.

Beautiful sunny day today, decided to go check out the mountain path. Really enjoyed the walk with great views on a clear day.
Fun but short bridge, way better view at night with the lights on. The construction now is very noisy and smelly.
Nice for little walk. Do not expect anything too fancy. It's still just a pathway connecting neighborhoods with nice views. The only part of the path at trestle bridge is lit during the holidays in winter.

Nice new trestle bridge with a heavily curved alignment.
Spectacular panoramic view of the Howe Sound
Went there end of May, no snow until the very top part where the steel bridge is. Park rangers were clearing debris on the bridge. We started clockwise going up gradually and there was a little bit of overgrown after the gravel road. Coming back down was mostly rocks, sometimes slippery. Muddy at times, proper shoes needed.
Very quiet and peaceful lake in the middle of the trees. The hike was great with alott of beautiful views along the way.
love the view! ample of parking. easy hike. there is a mountain path that leads to the pop up below where you can enjoy the scenery.

West Knob summit is treed with no view, and even then at the lower lookout you can barely see Horseshoe Bay and Bowen Island.
Amazing add-on to our beautiful North Shore!
Very well constructed bridge and paved walking path with stunning views almost all over the way.
The path takes to to Cypress pop-up village that you can treat yourself with coffee, fresh-made pizza and beer.
It gets a little bit steep at some points but I believe it’s still doable for almost anyone.

What a wonderful place for a weekend walk! Ready walks through the forest, with a few more challenging routes too.
👍
It's a perfect path for jogging. I like to hear the sound of the wave splashing onto the rock, no need to wear my headset to listen to any music ^_*
Beautiful but slightly confusing trail! The waterfall and old rusted car are kind of cool to see, makes me wonder how it got there. It’s a great trail in light rain due to the tree cover! It’s also transit accessible which is great for those without a car.
Waterfall with footbridge crossing following the Baden Powell Trail East & West. Rainfall & spring snow melt will cause greater flow rates. Winter access is best with microspikes or snowshoes.

If in a sunny day, the reflection must have been perfect. Saw an American Dipper there which means that the water quality is pretty good.
Natural and beautiful views, the colors and birds stay arround you.

Probably wouldn't swim in this lake - though my dog had no such qualms about it.

Amazing, moderate Hike, Still snow on the 3 last kilometres to access the lake in June, stay Safe.
Can't find the lake using Google maps. Drove all the way and followed GPS directions from Google maps and can't find it. It is in the British Property area surrounded by beautiful houses. Asked the locals and nobody knew about it. Wasted my time.
Lovely seaside walk on a nice sunny day! More room than the seawall and less busy, however dogs aren't allowed on the majority of it
Easy and cozy walking trail

The Howe Sound Crest Trail is a very popular hike particularly from the South trailhead at Cypress Provincial Park. Expect traffic-jam conditions on sunny weekends. Parking is free at the ski area parking lots, but park outside the gate if you expect your return time will be late. Bring some 10 essentials "equipment insurance" as it can get cold & dark very fast in the mountains.

Beautiful spot. Not sure you could swim though. There are a few other lakes a quick walk away worth checking out as well.
Such a cool place to walk and just get some down time and enjoy spectacular sunsets and views.

Didn't see the lake, but the snowshoe trail was good
Great hike . Not to hard great viewpoints.
Very nice lake! Good location. The hike isn't difficult to get up there!😁
My favorite place to walk in the world. It is never ever the same scenery as the ships are always moving and the seasons make the ambiance different all the time. It is a perfect 5km from Park Royal to a bit past Dundarave so 10km is an easy park, run and back.

I have walked here early at 5am and as late as 1230am and it is super safe and well lit. I have been going here for over 25 years and it only keeps getting better.
Very nice trail, no matter short or long, always can have a wonderful day here

Just finished it. The trail is not well maintained between The Lions and Brunswick. Lots of snow pack block the trail. The view is amazing.

usually after a break at the blue gentian lake, on your way back down, give a little upper loop to the west lake.
