Each health service has its own dedicated waiting room so the appointment is exactly on time. All the medical staff are dedicated specialists (i.e not GPs) so there is a greater level of expertise and experience.

I have been a patient at this practice for 30 years, it is an extremely good practice with an excellent range of services.
The reception staff are very professional, patient and helpful, likewise the clinical staff are very knowledgeable, supportive and friendly .
Dr Vadgama; the senior partner is absolutely brilliant !
There have been some reviews stating concerns about availability of appointments, yes, it certainly can be a challenge to get a same day appointment, but this is the same in nearly all practices in the country !
DRHC you do a great job in very challenging circumstances; THANK YOU ALL .

My daughter has moved to the UK. Unfortunately, she has been sick regularly since moving from one country to another. She has been trying to book appointments with your team, waiting on the line as early as 8 AM. After an hour, either there is no answer or no appointments are available and it is impossible to get an appointment for another day. Your booking system is so useless that she had to call 111 to be taken seriously. It is a shame how you treat people without any respect. Staff is condescending and unpleasant. Avoid!!

Dr Hermo is great, receptionists are nice. That's about it. Most doctors are quite condescending and don't actually look for what you ask them to.

I have tried repeatedly to get an appointment by phone and then via the website. Neither has been successful and the response from the practice has been 'try again'. When I have been in the practice recently to see a nurse, there are very few people there!!

I have been coming to this surgery for over 20 years and it has really gone down hill. I only try to see a doctor when I am unable to purchase something over the counter and require a prescription and medical examination. It is close to impossible to get a appointment. Every appointment is "telephone" and then you have to book another to see the DR which can take another 2 weeks if not longer. Waiting on the telephone can take over an hour and today I was cut twice after waiting so long finaly getting to queue position 7. This surgery is simply no longer practical for function. It is a very heavy student area and this surgery constantly takes on new patients when it can not even adequately take care of its current patient list. Very disappointed

This Surgery is pointless. Can never get a appointment when you need one most. When you do get one all they want to do is give you a prescription and send you away also they never phone back when they advise they will. Enroll here at your own risk!!

I've been ringing since 8 when surgery opens and their currently busy please try later I've rang 37 times since 8am!!! Disgusting and you wonder why people take advantage of going to qmc!! In queue 19 and all appointments for today have gone?

Whenever I call for an appointment I end up with waiting an hour on the phone. Recently, I could not get an appt. then I decided to go myself there. I went to the surgery myself in the morning, the receptionist said they are busy, it was quiet there around 8. I can't understand this system. It does not help people who work. We pay for everything but we don't receive the care needed.
What shall we do?
What shall we do?

Constantly fobbed of. Reception staff don't care especially when its an immediate referral from the useless 111 about your blockage in your bowels 6days on, i truly give up🫣 management make promise too check-in on you, also to verify you still want your appointment and nothing. Avoid if you like your health.

They have missed my child 1 year vaccinations and tried to put a blame on us as they must have sent us a letter or text a message for updates which they didn’t.after my son had his 6 months vaccinations done we were not told anything about the next time he shouod have vaccinations and when he turned to 2 years we had to have him 4 vaccinations at once for the missed his 1 year which was very painful for him.not acceptable such treatment and being careless about my child vaccination program it was very inconvenience.

Would give it zero stars if I could. My sister rang for an appointment and they made her one for 11.15am. On attending the surgery she was told no appointment had been made for her and she can't see the doctor. I rang the surgery to query this and was told she had DNA'd the appointment as she hadn't turned up. It makes no sense that she was told there was no appointment there but now being told she had not attended. There is something wrong with this surgery, my sister has had recurrent issues for the last 3 months. They keep sending her prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and the manager does not want to help in the slightest and takes favour of the lies the receptionists tell rather than help the patients. Getting told to ring at 8am in the morning and then still not being able to get one is ridiculous. My sister will be changing doctors as this one is useless. My sister makes appointments for her children and then gets to these appointments to be told they had been cancelled, why had they not texted her to tell her this rather than have her walk all the way up there.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am not sure about the doctors but, the reception team couldn't even manage to get me onto the system after I filled out all my details. And it left me short of the prescription that I needed.

I transferred to this health centre many years ago following numerous issues at Hillside Health Centre. I have been happy with the service my family and I have received here.

The doctors and nurses have always been brilliant. A lot of the receptionists are helpful and respectful. However, contacts with some of the reception staff are often challenging. I called in today morning to book in an urgent appointment for my 3 year old about a non standard problem (even the doctor was not sure about the causes and asked to monitor it) , second appointment within a few days. I got quite a bit of unsolicited advice from the receptionist including “the doctor will probably just prescribe more cream". I think it is not right to offer advice at medical surgery by non-medical staff. I don't know if the reception staff has the duty of care. It can be dangerous to try to put people off booking appointments without even seeing the patient or having a full history.

This surgery has done it AGAIN. They have messed up my husband's medication again.
Due to a national shortage of Creon (normal brand) my hubby was advised to have the alternative creon. However, having made an emergency request for this "new" creon at Highcroft Surgery on 6th October. The surgery said the prescription will be ready to collect on 9th October.
Guess what!! I went across to our chemist on 10th October to collect new meds & the doctor has not sent over the prescription. I then had to return back to the doctors AGAIN to chase up.
It is a complete waste of time going to that surgery.

Highcroft Surgery, Arnold I went in yesterday to try and book in an appointment for whenever, was told the system doesn’t show what’s available for the next day or beyond and was advised to fill out econsult at 7am the following morning.
This morning I tried doing that but it would never allow for the page to be loaded up, I went through my settings but unfortunately couldn’t get anywhere. At 9:20am I finally got through to speak to someone who booked me in for an appointment at 10am. Worried about the time I rushed around trying to throw clothes on to only then have to wait for the bus which of course had just left. I was crossing the road to the surgery when I received a text message advising that I’ve just now missed my appointment. I went in to the surgery and spoke with reception who advised the dr will not see me today, I asked if anyone else available as the swelling in my legs is so bad the fluid is now leaking out of my pores. I was told no. I was told to do an econsult tomorrow morning or call. Yesterday I asked about a repeat for fluid tablets which were accidentally thrown away and found out they have not been actioned either. I’ve now just arrived home to try and do an econsult to find the option has been taken away. I’m back to square one, no medication, no appointment, and still in so much pain. I feel really let down by the surgery and I feel as though I’ve just been given a massive run around. As someone who is severely anaemic and having trouble even walking I don’t have the energy to be going through this. I hope you’re able to sort out issues with econsult and the appointments in general.

Been with this surgery now for 11 years, they've always been great, the staff put up with some disrespect but always stay professional. Jo and Lorraine have been great, they listen well to people and always strive to resolve things the best they can.
Tehyre text messaging service is great, it saves from calling in

Many thanks for concern I received from the GP who saw me on Monday. I am astonished to have had a call after my appointment to make sure I was going to go to A&E. I was encouraged to go through the necessary tests to suggest the cause for my health problem. Thank-you for your kindness.

Worst GP ever. I called this morning, phone started to ring after 20th attempt then I was on hold for 17 mins. When I got to speak to somebody, as soon as I said hello and need an appointment, lady disconnected the phone. Then I kept on trying agin to call but couldn't speak to anybody. Line was busy. Receptionist did not want to give the appointment to someone from different backgrounds than her.

Very hit and miss. I've been trying for three weeks to get an appointment. Despite telling the receptionists why I need an appointment, they can be quite rude. Phoned up on Monday and one told be that I should go to another practice near my university. I live down the road from this practice, which proves my point that the receptionists do not listen to you.

This practice used to be outstanding, the staff who are lovely both on reception and the health professionals. The issue at this practice is actually being able to get an appointment for anything they don't classify as urgent ENOUGH, if you fall in this category it is a struggle to get an appointment. Although other practices offer pre bookables for this type of appointment and thus avoid trapping patients in a never ending cycle of the need to ring twice daily for an appointment yet still be able to fail to secure an appointment and in my case its been two weeks and counting this practice does not yet know when they will return to such a service so for anything they classify as NOT urgent ENOUGH you can easily find yourself trapped in their system of having to ring twice daily until one day you might get lucky and might get an appointment, as with lotteries sometimes you are lucky and will in this case secure an appointment yet sometimes you aren't lucky and will in this case like me fail to secure an appointment two weeks and counting.

Never found most of the Dr's here particularly warm or friendly but that's just personal view. However, as far as my health is concerned - I have been on medication for high blood pressure for quite a few years but since 2020 (that is a period of 3 years) I have not had one appointment, request, or contact regarding my blood pressure or the fact that I have had no meds in all that time. Out of the blue, over 3 years later, I get a text message from a 3rd party requesting input of my bp readings and a survey. A few issues with that: I have told the surgery I do not want my data sharing with any third party and they have clearly ignored this; I am expected to submit my own bp reading - with what? How do they know it is accurate and been taken correctly? The race to the bottom for patients in the NHS continues a-pace.

The Valley Surgery has always been an excellent practice but truly excelled during Covid. When I heard the problems my friends were having to even get a phone appointment, I felt really lucky to be in the safe hands of the Valley. Needless to say that includes office staff and nurses as well as the gifted selection of GPS.

No complaints at all. Receptionists are normally very nice and helpful. I am always offered an appointment or alternative solution with very little wait!

Excellent surgery. You can actually get an appointment here and the doctors really listen to you and make you feel like they have time for you. Particularly Dr Chersich and Dr Egan - wonderful GPs.

Outstanding practice on multiple occasions for myself and my wife. Have seen Sean the FCP who is great, previously Dr Egan, the reception staff, my wife has seen Dr Gunther and Dr Avery who were fantastic.

This is an excellent, well-organised doctor's practice.
It is clearly the best set up of any I have been registered with.
I do not have enough experience of the individual doctors to comment on their merits.

The doctors at this practice have been amazing with our baby daughter. They always call back and see her the same day and are so quick at sorting out anything she needs. The staff on the phone are friendly and helpful and everyone goes above and beyond. At a time when GP’s are busy and overstretched I wanted to say they do a brilliant job! Often staying late and always reading the notes before hand.

Hit and miss, can't always get a physical appointment, still not running a normal practice. Some receptionists are nicer than others. Dr's themselves again hit a miss odd 1 are OK others not worth seeing. Can’t book any appointments a few days in advance. Only on the day-Helpful for some and for others like myself really unhelpful.
Generally hard to be physically seen.
Appointments can be hard to get.
Took 4 days to get my little one an appointment!
Don't always feel listened too, or issues dealt with promptly/properly.

Extremely hard to get appointments! I tried several time for my mum and for myself
Receptionists are rude and discriminate! They are not helpful at all!
Rang dead on 8am and they told me it was full up for the day, after when I spent many times as a 26th in the queue. She ask me to call back at 2pm. At 2pm the problem was the same, she could not give me any appointment, she asked me to call back next day at 8am etc... Magic, annoying circle! They are playing this with me since August. I had a blood test last August and I still don't know my result because I can not have an appointment, when I have popped in to ask them to check my result they could not find the result in the system and she asked me to call them back at 8am 🤣🤢 unbelievable!
Today I told them I leave them and I've registered to another medical center. Best decision 👍

Doctors are great if you can get one of long stayers otherwise you end up spending your consultation time going over your medical history which for some of us with chronic illness or injury can be a long process which pushes other appointments back.
Reception could be better as three windows but only one receptionist and yet plenty of clerical staff with time to gossip mere feet from the reception desk. What happened to patients first?
