Tasty Chettinad food in the West!

Here is a short blurb of the things we had:

- Tandoori Chicken: Smokey and well-marinated. Came with a chutney that could be minty-er, but chicken was flavourful enough nonetheless.
- Gobi65: This was actually gobsmacking yummy. Crispy, not oily, soft and tender cauliflower in the inside. Do yourself a favour and order this.
- Fish Biryani: Came with generous chunks of fish steak. Curry was flavourful.
- Kadai Chicken: Spicy and creamy. Sauce split a little but that’s fine. Pairs the biryani and naan well.
- Filter coffee: Absolute must order!

The only con is that it’s a little expensive. Else, would come again more frequently.

There’s also handwashing basins for those who wanna eat with your hands (as one should)

I always like to eat Mala Xiang Guo with Maggie mee noodles. I tried the mid spicy and was delighted to know that it was not overwhelmingly spicy and numbing. I tried others and my palate cannot take the mild too. This was alright. It did not burn my tongue and it was gentle on my digestive system too. I did not feel my stomach burning.

A pity that the staff is horribly rude. Greeted the Yong Tau Foo store and ask is ready to order. Give me a own her money face and reply rudely. Ask for the kaya butter to put aside rather than spread on the bread. Again, the staff give me a ow her money face and rudely say no. Left the place unhappy!

Got the July 2 pax promotion for Ard 40 bucks and 47 after gst and service charge.

Honestly quite impressed overall. Tahu goring(beancurd with satay sauce). It wasn't sour kind of beancurd which made it so much better. The satay sauce and the crispiness of the beancurd paired nicely.

The omelette with prawn was seasoned nicely. It wasn't overwhelming but you can easily eat it on its own and it will taste nice.

White kopi chicken is kinda like mocha pork rib, it was pretty tasty and big portions too.

The stir fry mix veggies was surprisingly good and seasoned well. You can really taste the garlic like an aglio olio. I hate underseasoned veggies so this was nice. Highly recommended to pair with their sambal.

Lastly the hagen daz ice cream as expected is good as ever.

Overall pretty justified. Minor complain would be this was kinda dry. You may want to get a curry or something to pair with it

I felt cheated when I needed to pay an additional 50 cents for the tofu. I ask why, but the lady just just said rudely, " told you tofu is an additional 50 cents, can't you understand?". I understand, but why!?

Food is not horrible but the exorbitant price doesn't reflect the portion size. There were hardly any chicken in the butter chicken and the panipuri is meh. Masala tea also no spicy taste, taste like teh tarik. The meal was bang average, maybe 3-3.5 stars if priced cheaper but with the ridiculous price and I didn't get the level of food for the price I pay for, this restaurant deserves the 2 stars I'm giving. $40 for the below photo, you be the judge.

Overall this food court done a great job to provide affordable food options to many users of faculties and audience of sports match , concert and events. Only the Zi char shop which is located to food court innermost store, their standard has changed greatly since the previous tenant shifted out…most of other sips are quite ok

Well ventilated halal food court with a lot of choices, mala hotpot was nice especially the 辣子鸡 ! I enjoy the curry yong tau foo here, which tastes more like laksa gravy. The fruit juice I ordered (red apple and pineapple) was abit too sour for my liking.

You can pay by cash or paynow here which makes it super convenient

We came here for the Dim Sum Buffet. There was quite a large selection of food to choose from: Laksa, Fried Chicken Wings, Gyoza, Chawanmushi, Porridge, Otah Siew Mai, Harkaw, Crystal Dumplings, just to name a few.

My personal favorites would have to be Mee Goreng Mamak, Chicken Feet, and Chili Crab. The Chili Crab gravy was filled with deshelled crab meat; it was simply heavenly.

Not a fan of Hot & Sour Soup, which tasted a little bland, and the Prawn with Wasabi. I couldn’t take a bite of the prawns because of the wasabi. Perhaps it’s better to have it on the side for diners who dislike wasabi?

Overall, we still enjoyed our meals very much and would come back again in the future, especially if Amelyn and Angelli are on duty. Great service from both of them!

Anjappar mentioned they have crab with gravy and roasted crab or crab fry. I ordered take away for roasted crab. But i was given crab without gravy but it was not roasted at all. It seems they cook both in the same style, but they give with gravy and without gravy, but not really fried or roasted as expected.

Visited this place yesterday with my family. Had been to Anjappar at other outlets, but for the first time Visited this outlet. Since it was a public holiday, and around 7:15 pm,it was completely occupied. We waited for 5 mins and soon received a table for ourselves.

Both the ladies,at the cash counter and taking order are nice and fast. All the staffs are prompt in their work.

Food was served really fast, even though it was crowded.. Appreciated 👏

Since it was navratri time for us,so we only had vegetarian food. We chose to have their north Indian veg set meal, noodles, butter roti, juice .. Everything tasted delicious 😋

At the cash counter,we saw ,speciality of the day was " Hariyana Special " Deer Biryaani and roasted Deer" Haven't seen deer recipes at any other anjappar outlet ever, when we visited.

The Salad stall offers a healthier choice with their sweet potato yoghurt. But their menu pricing are on the steeper side. I’m also not impressed with the service staff as she’s usually grumpy and impatient. Not friendly at all.

I’m willing to ignore those cons for the sake of healthier options but the basic food safety being the most important has to be maintained.

Today I was shocked to find bits of “charcoal” inside the purple yoghurt , specially in the purple sweet potato. I have no idea what those black substance were but they were definitely not edible! OMG!

I will never go back to that stall ever again.

Located at level 2 of M Hotel, with seats overlooking CBD street view.
1 for 1 hotpot buffet with specific bank promotion, excludes public holidays.
2 choices of soup base. I upgraded by topping up $9 to collagen broth… a tad too sweet for our liking. Mala broth decent, but won’t wow you. The stars here are the fresh selection of hotpot ingredients- fresh oysters, blue crabs, prawns, clams, beef belly, lamb slices, chicken slices & wings, variety of green vegetables & fresh mushrooms, last but not least a good selection of noodles. Self service sauce station available, but no vinegar though.
Non hotpot items were decent too. Stewed ox tails, nangka sago desserts, and MSW durian puffs were the highlights of the night!
Self service coffee and tea available.
There are options to top up $6 for unlimited soda drinks too.
Worth the money to dine in a posh hotel setup with 1 for 1 deal.

Much much much better than the branch in Little India. The food taste was great. Happy to have Anjappar restaurant in my area. Perfect place for Indian non-vegetarian lovers. We went for lunch. Mutton briyani was awesome. The is small but nice and cozy. The staffs are friendly. Usually their quantity of briyani is more. So was it this time also. It definitely suits the south Indian briyani taste. The tiny and fragrant, jeeraga samba rice is perfect for briyani. Definitely recommend and must visit.

There’s not a lot of affordable food choices here in KWM apart from Encik Tan so Yew Kee Group’s My Kampung food court basically has a monopoly. Their drinks stall just raised prices again this year and they honestly serve one of the lousier kopi / teh in SG. $2.50 for a cup of iced teh is a ripoff - go to Chicha Sanchen instead (the franchise is also owned by Yew Kee Group). Seems like the only decent local kopi in the mall are at Fun Toast and Old Town.

The mixed vegetable rice has a really good chef - I highly recommend coming here for lunch despite the long queue. Zichar stall and the Indonesian stall is good too; haven’t tried the other stalls much but the chicken rice is mediocre and the uncle is not friendly.

Best part of this place is the balcony seating, and the fact that it’s a halal food court!

Indulging in an exquisite Iftar celebration (from 1st March to 9th April 2024, 6pm to 10pm) at M Hotel Singapore's The Buffet Restaurant was truly a delightful experience. The specially curated menu, filled with a wide variety of delicious dishes, perfectly captured the essence of Ramadan and the spirit of togetherness. ❤️❤️

From the comforting Turmeric Kampung Chicken Broth to the flavourful Oxtail Assam Pedas and Bubur Lambuk, every dish showcased the culinary expertise of Chef Nazrin. The addition of his innovative creations such as the Gurney Drive Beef Burger and Ayam Kari Kelapa Goreng added a unique twist to the traditional Iftar spread. 👍🏻😋😋

The Live Station offerings of Mutton Ribs Gule, Slipper Lobster Petai, and the Premium Sliced Beef Platter were highlights of the experience, providing a burst of flavors and textures that left a lasting impression. The desserts, including the Musang King Durian Cream Puffs and Crispy Banana Fritters, were the perfect ending to a sumptuous meal. 😍😍😍

The ambiance of The Buffet Restaurant, combined with the warm hospitality of the staff, created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that made the Iftar celebration truly memorable. It was a joyous experience to share delicious food and create lasting memories with loved ones during this holy month.

Enjoy a special promotion where you can dine with four people but only pay for three, with a minimum of three paying adults. This offer is valid from 1st March to 9th April 2024. Price: Sunday to Thursday @ S$68++, Friday & Saturday @ S$78++. 🤩🤩

I highly recommend experiencing the Spirit of Ramadan at The Buffet Restaurant for anyone looking to indulge in a diverse and flavorful culinary journey that celebrates the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions. It is an experience that truly embodies the essence of togetherness and celebration during this special time of year. 🎉🎉

Average Penang fare. The most favourful is the char kway teow. Nicely stir-fried with good balance of oil, sauce and condiments.

Pleasant environment.
Best of all is server Jessica! She’s candid and responsive.

To start off with, I last dined here in Jan 2021 (and also had reviewed my then dinning experience that was not very good).

We are giving it a 3.5 star rating, not four.

After 3 years, we decided to revisit the restaurant and see if it has improved or not or have any difference as then. Well, the ambience and layout of the restaurant remained relatively the same, but it was cosy and bright. But in 2021, during the Covid19 period, it was the ala cart buffet style, meaning you order, food would be served to you at the table but now the normal buffet style has resumed.

In terms of foodwise, the spread, variety and layout display were generally fine and extensive. You could find local, asian, international and western dishes here and by the way, this is a halal restaurant.

As for the food quality, there were "hits and misses", some were nice, some were out. Like the chicken rice, it was nice, prawns and mini lobsters were fresh. Satay was nice too but the joker chef inserted all of them into the satay sauce but this made the taking out of the sticks difficult as all were jumpled and sticked on to one another and you will draw out a bunch of satay sticks instead of one or two sticks. Also the onions were not fresh.

There were DIY stations like the kwee pietie and rojak. Surprisingly the main key ingreidents for rojak, the dough stick (you chay kwee) were missing and the sauce was overly sour. And the prawn noodles, so so as the soup was bland and laksa was missing (possibly they rotated the menu but I thought laksa was an easier dish to prepare).

There were the beef rendang, chicken, nonya zha chay, curry, fresh salmon (but there were no sushi maki) and the whole salmon fish, steamed fish, prata, pickles, salad etc. Most were passable but not fanstatic.

There were fresh cut fruits, pastries, jelly and old school "ice cream" with wrapped with bread or cone that were fine. Juices were included together with coffee and tea. (But the sour plum juice was way out)

Service was generally fine and staff were efficient and friendly (the older servers) but the young staff were more less attentive and expressionless on the faces.

In terms of value for money, considering the quantity and quality of food, it was so so only. We paid over $70+ per pax (that's after the 50% discount).

Comparing to similar hotel restaurants within the same category/range, the price was a little high. On average, we paid around $60-$65+ for similar (or better) buffet with better/more food spread and quality, some even before additional membership/credit card discounts.

So the verdict? It has indeed improved from our previous visit, especially service wise, but in terms of food and value for money, it can still be improved. And so will we return again? Probably yes, but not anytime sooner! (maybe 3 years later?)

Went for the lunch buffet, Food has some hit and miss. Prawn on ice and log cake was quite good! On the other hand, Chicken rice is stale in taste and fish dishes too hard. Variety was quite good, love the spinach hummus and the fondue. Service was good, staff clear plates diligently and portrays good attitude.
Make reservation via chope for my family all when smoothly upon arrival make payment they directed us to the table outdoor facing swimming pool nice and cool , the best food o gave 5 rated star will be the Dum Muttun briyani and the soup tulang others like tandoori chicken , satay , malay kueh and seafood the chili crab and prawn juicy n spicy balance . Thank you chef of The Landmark keep it up overall i will give the restaurant 5 star rated and the staff all fantastic well done we will come again in the near future.

They say first impressions counts and boy was I impressed! Was warmly greeted upon arrival and shown to my table. Very comfortable seatings. The wait staff’s services were commendable. They will quick to clear our used plates, top up water and even volunteered to take a photo for us when they see us attempting a selfy. Although the space was compact, the buffet spread was extensive, well presented and delicious. Kudos to the chefs on duty! The roasted beef was tender and juicy and the chili sauce for the slipper lobster was delicious (dip it with the mini fried man tou!) They were quick to replenish the popular dishes too. I had lots of strawberries coated by the white chocolate fountain. Do try the tiny ondeh ondeh balls that burst in your mouth!

I recently dined at the Holiday Inn @Atrium Restaurant for my company OEMServices Asia Pte Ltd Christmas celebrations and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and the quality of the food. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly by the friendly staff.

The food was amazing and we finished it in less than 20minutes. I would like to praise the employees in this outlet Shawn and Raymond. They were very kind to us. When our food came, Raymond even offered to help us take a group picture without us asking. It is hard to find such top tier service in restaurants these days. If u were to visit this place, u should definitely try the sharing platter and sea bass in lime and spicy sauce, it is much better than other Thai restaurants in my opinion because of their authenticity. I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Food and ambience was great. Weekend dinner had live sashimi, salmon from Norway was succulent. Carving station of steak with black pepper sauce (which is the main highlight because it was really tasty). An entire selection of fresh seafood ranging from prawns to lobster. Live pasta section and live noodle section (laksa etc). Food was really good. Staff was helpful to bring us up to the musollah (which is a modified hotel room). Another highlight was the crayfish with chilli crab sauce and mantou. Pure brilliance. Sincerest gratitude to the team, for your impeccable service on a Sunday evening!

The restaurant serves a huge selection of cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the fresh sashimi, lobsters and clams. The satay, curry and chicken rice are authentic and very tasty.

All the staffs are very friendly, especially Frennie, the Restaurant Manager. She is very friendly and approachable. She took time to introduce all the signature dishes to me and I’ve truly enjoyed the exceptional experience.

16/1/24, New Year try the nasi Lemak still as good as before .

Today pack 2 x Nasi Lemak - just as warm and good as eating at the shop.

Best Nasi Lemak, have lunch twice a month - Nasi Padang is excellent too. They branches in IMM WOODLAND and PAYA LEBAR.

I tend to write positive reviews. And, I just disregard locations or services I feel don't make the cut. But here, I just want to say that 24-hour halal food centres are few. And never was I disappointed with the selection of food or drink no matter the hour. However, I will definitely NOT rely on this restaurant in the wee hours of the morning.
The food was really tasty. We really enjoyed all the food. There’s a wide selection of food to choose from.

The satay was cooked and tasted perfect to us. The prawns were quickly snapped up, was really delicious.

We will definitely come here again and bring more people to enjoy this amazing spread!
A rather small hawker center in Hong Kah area. A bit far from closest MRT station and my accommodation, if I lived closer I might likely to frequent this place more often to grab some takeouts.

Most of the menus from the stalls are relatively affordable. The only one that I think a bit more expensive is the Western food stall. I think one of the more unique menus is fried cempedak sold in the snack and drink stall ($3 for 5 pieces). I can't remember any other places in Singapore to get this delicacy. Just beware when consuming them because it still has its big seed inside - you really don't want to get choked!

Another notable point is that the place seems to be not so well ventilated despite being an open-air hawker center. One can see the smoke from the kitchens lingering inside it, although the outer part of the place seems to be okay. I think investing in more ceiling fans could've solve it somewhat.

Didn’t intend to eat here for dinner but everywhere else in Jem was crowded. Despite that I’m glad I did as I got to try the ayam merah which was so good. Fair pricing for mall food: $6.50 for 1 meat and 1 veg with huge rice portion, though actually to prevent food wastage the rice can be cut down as I saw other customers also didn’t finish their rice.
You can find a great variety of halal food here. The zhir char is not bad.
Price is considered reasonable.
The western food stall is delicious. Also the young malay mother was so nice to me. I didn't have cash and was not able to buy a drink as the drinks stall does not accept Paynow. And she offered to buy me a drink. What a kind angel!

Food is fresh, hot and tasty.

Prices are well displayed to prevent any unexpected shock but pricing is reasonable, given its location in a prime mall.

Gets warm eating in as the aircon seems weak to cope with the amount of heat generated from the constant cooking.
Food was great! We spent close to $200 for a meal at a coffee shop???? Crazy but good lah.

Love the goreng2an!!!

Can’t believe we had to clear all these plates ourselves smh

Ordered lor mee ($5.50) from the tze char stall beside the goreng pisang stall. Food was served to my table quite fast. Quite vinegary but also quite salty. Had fishcake, some fried white fish fillet, sotong (first time having sotong in lor mee), beansprouts and some small prawns, and yellow noodles in a piping hot gravy that held its drinkable consistency even as it cooled down. No lumpy sauce here! Almost burnt myself eating but hey, I like my food temperature really hot. Better than warm / cold food any day.

Sat near the smoking corner that had a plastic divide (doesn't help). Will choose other indoor tables further away from smoking corner next time.

This 24h coffeeshop has other stalls, all halal. Drinks stall, prata / mamak, fish soup, fishball noodles, tze char and goreng pisang stall. Will be back to try other food as I'm bored of the other coffeeshops around here. Prices still okay or can be a bit high like fish soup $6.

I'm satisfied with the food. There is a variety of food. Service is quick to clear the plates. Staff is friendly. We even teach each other how to make ice-kacang using the ice machine. It became a teaching moment. Sat and ate for almost two hrs and the atmosphere is getting hotter. It could be the weather or we are just full. Overall, we enjoy our experience here. Do come!

Service was okay and can definitely be improved. We were informed that we had to place the order and not pay via the app. We were also questioned if we were using any vouchers.

Food was okay, 3/5 Thai food. Steamed fish was the best dish that night.
I would definitely put 5 starts for each aspect of this experience. The price was so worth it for a 1 for 1 buffet. My friends enjoyed it too. Staff are well prepared and very attentive on our needs.

It was good! The food, the ambiance and the vibe of the restaurant. I thought there will be lesser varieties but I was wrong. I only took these photos as I enjoyed eating much. From the appetizers to their desserts, it was worth it! 😋

Nice little Malay cafe that is tugged in one corner. Tried the Chicken cutlet Aglio spaghetti from the stall "The Noodles Guy", it was surprisingly very flavourful & cutlet is tender and crispy. Highly recommended!! 😋🍽️🧆

I had chappatti with Dhal at Northpoint city outlet, the chappatti was not cooked on one side. The raw dough could be seen. How can such food be served to customers. My husband had mutton roti john which was tasteless
Honestly from the looks of the restaurant I did not expect the food to taste good la. BUT I was wrong! The food served at the restaurant was SO GOOD. Perfect for singaporean like me. It serves a wide variety of cuisine like western, seafood, Indian food, desserts, fruits. I love the seafood portion where you can get chilli crab with toasted bun, the Indian cuisine on curry beef and chicken is awesome! I love their black pepper prawn too. Fresh and huge 🍤. The mushroom soup is my favourite too! It is super creamy. There are no dishes that I do not like at all. Super worth it. 5 star!

Aiman cafe is not crowded at the point of dine in. Ordered 2 fried rice dine in and 1 take away. 1 fried rice came in 5mins. Checked for the other fried rice and no update from the staff after seeing they served other tables which order after us. Very ARROGANT not even come to update if they have missed out the order not even an apology. 30~ish mins came another order follow by 1 take away.
Not recommended for this stall. Wondering how they can stay sustain with this kind of attitude.

Shld have ordered the ayam penyet instead at the indonesian stall.
The Family had our dinner at Aiman's Cafe. We had Mutabak, Mi Rebus.
Nasi Goreng kerang, kangkong belacan, Magi Goreng, Kuay Teow Goreng.
: Dishes from The Noodle Guys - Grilled Chix Marinara, Chix Cutlet Aglio olio, Grill Chix with Cream sauce.

Ambience is good. Rain blind prevents the rain from splashing in.

Feedback. Perhaps if no constraints, a family round table would make the place even more conducive and family oriented. :)

We had the mee rebus, nasi lemak, teh tarik and teh alia for breakfast. Mee rebus is very tasty, got the traditional taste. Nasi lemak was very good too! The chilli and the chicken wing very crispy. The teh tarik was normal. Hubby say Teh Alia very spicy but shiok. For those who like spicy ginger tea will like.

Had the prata kosong and telor here. The prata was average - it was not the crispy type and not the chewy type so it was neither here or there. The curry is average only.

Ordered teh tarik less sweet. There was no strong tea aroma.
Food was alright but what happen to teh tarik, portion become less -.-

Amazing stuff. The curry had such aromatic and deep flavours to it I can't say I've had anything like it before; and the lady's fingers were some of the tastiest I've ever had - very tender and flavorful. Of the bunch I'd say the otah is the least impressionable - quite flat and bland. My wife had the lotong and she's full of priase for it as well. The food is a little more pricey than average but I think it's certainly worth it. Highly recommended! 😋👍🏻

Wanton Mee Set is delicious and affordable at $5.50! My order was served within a reasonable amount of time. Portions are big as well.

Disappointed with the wantons as the filling is quite little and they are also stale.

I would still order again just for the Wanton Mee 😄

The portions were generous and the food is nice. The chili is absolutely tasty and goes so well with the rice. Personally, I prefer the sweeter curry as gravy over the rice. Only downside for me is the cracker is not as crunchy. Will definitely come back again.

Very average eatery. Bought from the stalls here a few times and not that impressed. The food tends to be a little more expensive than comparable ones, and while portion is healthy, taste wise is underwhelming, at least for the prata and rojak. Iced lemon tea is also very diluted. Plus the place has a lot of smokers and due to the close table arrangements, you are forced to inhale the 2nd smoke. Even with young children around, the smokers do not bother to abstain nor will the eatery staff do anything about it. Plus the tables and chairs can be a little dirty and not cleaned properly sometimes.
Order what we craved for and not disappointed. Its so good, we trio had food coma after the meal

Halal Coffeeshop suitable for Muslims.
Particularly noteworthy is the crab. I think it was $15 for 2 crabs? Crabs are small, but if you crave for chilli crabs yet don't want to spend much, this is a nice place to go.
