Had their crab cake basket, contained 2 decently sized crab cake sandwiches which were very tasty. the cajun fries were also good. in addition i ordered their clam chowder. the clam chowder had so much flour in it it was more of a white gravy than a soup. I had a bite with celery and the texture was completely uncooked. i would order again but not the soup. someone else on the order had their crab soup which also had too much four.
We recently went here for karaoke for my husband's 40th. We had a blast. The staff was kind and the music selection was pretty good. We didn't have much food, just drinks.
Was given Old and Frost bitten Seafood. Ordered a boil which included 1/2lbs Head off shrimp, 1/2lbs of Black muscles, corn, potatoes and added an egg. The Muscles had frost bite and I bit into the potato and it was black inside y’all (No Lie) !!! My corn was old and felt rubbery. I TOOK IT ALL BACK AND GOT A REFUND. I’m never Returning or Recommending 👎🏾
The food was horrible I never had Sweet tasting crabs it was way to much garlic 🧄 I will never go back there again on broad and Champlost I don’t think it’s worth it at all

Shame on you Capital! What happened to your dress code that you prominently place in a frame by the front entrance? We went with friends about 2 weeks ago and were quickly escorted through the bar (that was filled primarily with single men who missed every point of the posted dress code) to a back room, which I have been in in previous visits. We were all nicely dressed. We found ourselves seated in a room full of half naked women. As the tables turned in the room, a new group of half naked women came in. We were dressed out of respect for your establishment and to honor your dress code. Couldn't you have sat us in a more appropriate area to honor our commitment to you? Shame on you! By the way.....the food and service were okay as usual.

We spent the weekend in Philadelphia to celebrate our Anniversary. We had a beautiful dinner in The Capital Grill. It was an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was perfect the interior, food, service. The sommelier recommended beautiful wine. I want to thank our server Ian and the manager, they made our Special Day. We will definitely come back again. Now we planning to visit their location in Tysons VA.
Ordered takeout and was really surprised at how good it was. My only complaint is that they served the rolls in the same container which was not safe for me as someone with a shellfish allergy. But would def recommend the unagi and inferno roll.
I’ve been to The Capital Grille up KOP a few times but this was my 1st time at the center city location. The ambiance and decor was exactly what I expected. The food was delightful except for the fried lobster tails (whatever breading they use is too salty). I had twin lobster tails and my husband had the steak. We shared the cream spinach and lobster Mac & Cheese. I would come back to this location.
Over priced seafood n I was eager but the food wasn't impressive. The calamari was too oily and the shrimp with the head on was mushy. I tried twice n I'm cool.
On what might be considered the busiest dining out night of the year, Melograno downright nailed it! Our entire party of 6 left singing the praises of our waiter, Marco, and the entire back of house.
Love the service. Atmosphere, obviously, is understated and elegant without being off putting or snobbish. I was offered a "black linen" option to protect my black ensemble from the lint of white linen napkins.
Wait staff was beyond excellent.

First impressions are EVERYTHING. . . Our entire experience at the Capital Grille was drastically tainted by the initial reception/treatment we were greeted with by the 2 hostesses. Whether intentional or honest, human oversight. . . Once, it was brought to BOTH their attentions that - not only had we been waiting over 20 minutes, but even AFTER we informed them of this, they actually seated TWO ADDITIONAL parties (1 of which had just walked in the door!!! And were seated immediately. 😯 🥺)
This was my 1st time patronizing this (seemingly) distinguished establishment. And since they did not extend the offer for us to check our coats, you can imagine my absolute dismay & utter shock when one of them snatched my Canada Goose from an adjacent chair without my knowledge!!!
The lack of concern for having been overlooked & ignored for such a long period; the cold and callous demeanor in their responses really left quite the sour taste in MY mouth. ESPECIALLY, since I chose NOT to address the issue at the time in the manner in which it deservedly warranted - (we were celebrating a close friend's birthday who was just overcoming an illness).
Thankfully, our server was on par with the expectations one would reserve for an eatery of this caliber. The crabcakes were simply scrumptious - seasoned perfectly & plated beautifully. The lobster bisque (soup special of the day) was one of the best I've ever had. I even have to "shout out" the assortment of herbal breads that preceeded our meal. . . FANTASTIC!!! So hats off to the chef!!! ALL the food we had was amazing.
And finally, Mr. Pertelli (the manager who just happened to stop by our table). . . You made everything better. Like the hug from your dad when you've had your heart broken. His warm smile & understanding ear was all it took to help reverse the entire experience. Thank you sir!!!

I took my mother here for her birthday (I was visiting from Los Angeles) and it was absolutely delightful. Music was on point. Atmosphere also on point. Our waiter and I’m so sorry I forgot his name (because I’m writing my review so late) absolutely five stars. The best person in the entire establishment I’ll say that!! Pay him more and treat him well♥️
I cannot express how exceptional my experience was with our server, Rene! He went above and beyond to provide the most courteous, enjoyable, and thoughtful service I've ever encountered. We had a lovely dinner here recently, as my husband was craving sushi for his birthday. The service was good and the sushi was top notch. We also ordered a bottle of sake and some beers to go with our meal. The place was pretty empty, so we had the upstairs basically entirely to ourselves. The quietness may have bothered some other folks, but we enjoyed the private dining experience. I would definitely come here again!
This definitely is a ‘go-to’ place for some real good Italian food. We’ve been visiting them for the past three years and their food has always been top-notch. Their pasta selection is just wonderful and Tartufate is definitely a must try! Their shareable plates, gnocchi and burrata, are simply delicious. Their dessert options are drool worthy, too. We would most certainly be coming back yet again!
I have not dined at many Greek/Mediterranean restaurants, but what I do know is that I will be comparing them all to Estia. I have dined here on several occasions (3x), all during Restaurant Week. I can say without a doubt that I highly recommend the dishes in the following pics. Go, enjoy the ambiance, the incredible wait staff (shout out to Javier from my visit on 9/22), and the amazing food.
Food quality was over our expectations. We had a small (hygiene) issue but in general service and tastes were really good. I highly recommend grilled fagri fish.
I want to start by saying that our wait staff was fantastic. The meal was delicious but I think some of the offerings were priced too high for the taste. We were a party of about 15 and some of the people ordered stakes ended up being way salty.

It was a true treat the decorations were the best for a Greek restaurant I have been timeless and not overdone. The food was amazing. We had a huge group and everyone loved it
Friend touted Uptown Seafood $ shrimp promo, so I decided to give them a play since I was up in G’town. Came on wrong day of promo but placed orders anyway!

Ordered online for pick-up. Was charged, but when I went to pick up, restaurant was closed on Sunday afternoon. Looked liked it hadn't been opened for quite some time. Bad business. If shop isn't going to be open, site should be shut down for online orders.
The lace is pretty good size, but reservations are recommended. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Started with flat bread, tzatziki, and the red pepper sauce. Both were really good. Flat bread was hot. We had bread with humus. Very creamy and flavorful, not anything like you buy in store. We had sea bass and salmon. Both were really good. Cooked very well and really nice flavors. We ended with the cheese cake and baklava. Cheesecake was very creamy and great flavor. Baklava taisted like an apple compote, very good. Highly recommend the place. It is a little pricey but I think it is worth it for the quality of food.
We sat at the bar during happy hour and got several apps and a salad, service was really great and food was fantastic. Estia chips (zucchini and eggplant with zucchini) were so good we ordered a second one. Dionysus drink was delicious, and the baklava was wonderful. Perfect place to go after a show at Kimmel.

This place never misses a beat. The vibe, the comfort of the food is effortless. Truly a culinary gem in a town that doesn't know how to keep them. Melograno is what you want in a restaurant: Great good, service, and just a place that feels like home.
I ordered the Chicken and shrimp Alfredo for myself and a 4 wing platter with Baked macaroni and cheese and greens for my friend who just had a baby. She loved her food very much. I on the other hand didn’t like my Alfredo. It was a bit watery and not seasoned at all. But the service was amazing and once again, she loved her food. I will definitely go back and try something else.
Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The sushi is delicious and very fresh. Great variety of specialty rolls. Also try the housemade Soju! 🍶

I ordered dinner for me and my husband. We both ordered the Pick Your Catch with the shrimp 🍤 with the head off and added broccoli 🥦. I had the mild DuJour special seasoning and Hubby had no seasoning. Everything was hot and the food was delicious 😋 This DuJour seasoning is the best!!! This is our 3rd time we've frequent Crab Du Jour (2nd time at this establishment) and everything was excellent! We will be ordering from here again.
Food tasted funny. The fried foods taste like they were fried in cleaning products. Even the garlic bread was weird. The corn was the only edible item in my order. $37 gone.
Welcoming service and subtly flavored food. My wife loved the pasta in tomato sauce. I got the salmon and while it was great, my only complaint was the portion size for what was a $30 entrée. I’m not a big guy but you’re going to need to order more plates if you’re coming in hungry.

I had basically given up on finding good sushi in center city but gave one more spot a chance and luckily the rolls I ordered for take out at Fuji Mountain were good! I really liked how I could select avocado or cucumber for my spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls. Fresh and flavorful. I’ll order for pick up again for sure!

But boy were we surprised! The food was hot and came very fast. My fiancé and I ordered the fried fish baskets and that flounder was sooooo good. Had us both shocked lol. The fish was so flakey and perfectly seasoned / fried. My daughter had the flounder sliders; she was licking her fingers and smacking at the table! 10/10 will try again!!

HORRIBLE 1ST(AND LAST) EXPERIENCE!! Ordered a crab poboy and as you can see there was no crab. It looked like the residue of what's left AFTER you make a sandwich. Hard bread full of shredded Lettuce Also Ordered lemon pepper wings but they had no seasoning. Would not order again nor recommend.

really have loved this place for years and still love their food…but it’s so unfortunate that their service isn’t that great and they always seem to be out of stock. i hope they improve because i really do enjoy the wood.
Just happen to find this place. Lookin for shrimp 🍤 & grits. Black owned. Not bad, I forgot to ask for cheesy grits. So I had to put a lil of my own chef expertise on it. Otherwise pretty good. Shrimp were fresh. Lost most of butter gravy in the bottom of bag. Place was clean & staff was very polite with good vibes.

Wish I could rate the food. Ordered thru DD, they never confirmed the order. Called the store directly to make sure they were open, no answer. You only get one chance to waste my time.
Very disappointed in this business. With my first order via Doordash, I waited almost an hour for my order only for the Dasher to contact me to inform me the store advised they weren’t taking orders.

I recently ordered via Ubereats a Jr. Dungeness crab platter that specified 2 cluster, corn broccoli and potatoes. I received 1 Alaskan cluster, sausage, corn, potatoes and an egg in a bag. Never again!
I went to this place excited after reading the reviews ready to eat some good food. What did I found in my greens a freaking rubber bands . Now I have 14 months old that loves collard greens and she was eating it but I wanted to chop it up for her since they were a bit thick now look. Smh.
Tues " Thurs and Saturday is dollar shrimp day!!! I had the fried and sautéed. Both were great. Also the best 7-up cake Ive ever tasted. Any drawbacks came from bad cutomer service. Also the wait. I called my order in drove 20 mins and still had a 10 wait.

Food was dynamic. It was made pretty fast and it was also dollar shrimp day. You can also get you a homemade strawberry lemonade to wash it all down. Great place to visit. October 1st they start breakfast. You can't beat this place and its a neighborhood staple.

Hands down the best butter sauce I ever had. The seafood was so fresh, it’s been a while since I enjoyed a good seafood platter.
I had the fried scallops. They were very tasty. The wait however was very long. I was told 5 more minutes and that turned into 20. My aunt ordered crab cake with mac and cheese and green beans. The mac was just cheese and elbow macaroni. The cheese was clumpy and not distributed through out the dish. Very disappointing. The crab cakes were good though.
It's no surprise here! This soul food place is owned and operated by people of color, my people and I'm proud to put up a five star review for hard working local Entrepreneur thats a small business! I walked in bc I was referred by a stranger and what a great referral! Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a grits guys for breakfast bc of my amazing grandma who fed it to me every day of our poor lives hahahah even at 37 yo it's still my absolute favorite breakfast item and boy does Julian do it right! The grits is made perfectly and then the shrimp on top! Ha! It's yummmmmm! Come support this local business while u wait for ur bus at the oleny terminal! Definitely a customer for life!
Stopped by one day for lunch. Though it's not to easy to spot from a moving vehicle (in a busy area) the food is great. Seasoned well. Customer service was nice also. Would definitely return.
Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of the platter I had purchased. My fam and I enjoyed out snow crab with broccoli and corn in butter garlic sauce platter. The staff were so friendly and knows about customer service. Just for that, I plan to come again. Delicious food and awesome service is a perfect combo.

This place is the best. It’s never crowded and the food is always delicious. You get seated very quickly and the food comes out equally as fast. The servers are very nice and professional. I always come here for the Katsu chicken it’s probably the best friend chicken I’ve ever had. It comes out with two large cutlets cooked perfectly tender and crunchy. The menu also has a pretty good selection of items to choose from. I would highly recommend eating here.
