Butlers an sich hat immer sehr schöne Ware. Leider hab ich mit den Verkäuferinnen bei meinen Besuchen nur eine semi-freundliche bis sehr unfreundliche Erfahrung gemacht. Es gibt sicher auch super nette Verkäufer*innen dort, bin da sicher einfach zur falschen Zeit am falschen Ort gewesen. Ich finds trotzdem etwas schade. Hatte etwas das Gefühl das da schlechte Laune an mir ausgelassen wurde. Ich hoffe die Verkäuferi*innen haben sonst bessere Tage :)

A whole chain of stores dedicated to the famous red/green man on the traffic lights! That is what you call great branding. Everything available from stickers to signs and posters to T-shirts!
The museum cafe is worthy to check out. Must try their hot chocolate. 5/5 stars ⭐️
The exhibition place is super cosy but €16 is a bit too much of an entry fee to pay. The staff is nice and friendly and the ambience is really nice. I attended a photography exhibition on „Naked Bodies“ and I’d rate it 4/5. Attaching one of the pictures from the exhibition here.

Had a lot of Indian items. But it would have been really appreciated if they had a price tag next to the items or on the item to avoid going back to them to check the price of each product we want. Especially a student being on a budget, it is important to know the price before we purchase an item.
One Stop Shop for all the Indian groceries, vegetables and utensils. Basically, you can find anything that you miss in India. Whether it is a small bowl, a cooker, samosa, paneer, you name it. Anything that you don't get in the departmental store or a grocery store here in Berlin you can find it here. It is in a great location. Just walkable from postdamer platz and the shop owner is very friendly. Also, you can order from your phone and website. If your total bill is more than 60 euros they will deliver it to your home.
I’m going to ignore my feelings towards taking the wonderful place that was Kunsthaus Tacheles and turning it into this lifeless and expensive apartment complex. I will concentrate on Fotografiska.
I had zero expectations going into the museum, only the opinions of my friends saying it was worth it. Thinking about it now, it’s a shame calling the place a museum. Adding a bar area next to each exposition awfully distracts from the art. The shiny and polished interior somehow cheapens the experience.
Now about the exhibitions themselves. Art is subjective and individual to each person. Reason why it’s hard to categorize what art is. For me personally, the exhibitions Fotografiska were not it. “Whiteface” and “USSYPHILIA” had an interesting angle on the topic at hand but the execution was an absolute joke to me. I could talk about them a lot more but the review will get too long. “NUDE” being the most interesting exhibition and, yet again, it falls under the mediocrity label thanks to some of the works they decided to include. I did not want to attach pictures of the Artist's works, but needless to say - prices do not match the substance of the museum.

Als Guide für Berlin hatte ich einen Gast aus Mexiko, eine elegante Dame, die sich für nachhaltige Kleidung interessierte. Während der Sightseeingtour habe ich sie in das Geschäft gebracht und war von dem Konzept selber so beeindruckt, dass ich spontan Kleidung und Ohrringe für insgesamt 280€ kaufte. Mein Gast kaufte Schuhe für ca 120€ .
Zuhause sah ich, dass der gekaufte Leinenmantel von hinten nicht saß, er sähe wie ein Morgenmantel aus wurde mir gesagt und
der Leinenpulli hatte unterm Arm eine Laufmasche( habe es selber geflickt).
Den Mantel wollte ich gegen einen Gutschein umtauschen, wurde aber dermaßen kalt und unfreundlich von der Eigentümerin mit den Worten abgewiesen, dass ein Umtausch mit reduzierter Ware überhaupt nicht möglich sei, es wäre ein kleiner Laden etc. ..
Aber warum nicht einmal einen Gutschein? Hätte bei Gelegenheit Geschenke für Freunde und Familie oder mich besorgen können.
Jetzt mag ich die Sachen garnicht mehr tragen, muss dabei an die unangenehme Situation denken.

I don't really understand the lower than average reviews for this place. For me, if it was not for the price, it would get 5* all the way. No real need to book ahead as it was not too busy, even for a Saturday, and you have to queue up anyway! Exhibitions are not particularly varied in style but it's a modern art gallery with strong societal message that may or may not resonate with you, but as long as you go with an open mind you will enjoy it for sure. Some of the exhibitions may not be suitable for under 12s, depending on your own family values. For us, our kids were happy to go and make up their own minds, but I would understand if some parents would categorise this as 16+. Lovely café and bookshop on the ground floor. The only downside for me was that it cost me almost €50 for 2 adults and 2 children and with some refreshments later, it sits amongst the more expensive galleries in Berlin to visit.
The Museum is a fantastic place you must see!

5 stars for the nice location and the interior design of bar, fight shop and café...very nice. Staircase is also very cool as well as the rooms hosting the exhibition : nice lighting, photos are clearly visible with no reflection bothering like in other galleries/museums. So that's great!
2 stars for the ticket, 16 euro for the current exhibition is, in my opinion, way too much. The "main" exhibition at the 3rd floor is quite big, very interesting and nice. The one at the fifth is also interesting, but one at the fourth, again in my opinion, aweful. And I'm not judging the topics, all cool, but the art itself. Anyway, it's more expensive than the C/O gallery and the neue national Galerie, just saying. (Lockers are all out of order at the moment).
10/12€ would be the right ticket price.

As I live a little outside of Berlin, I've been in the store but also ordered from the online shop. I cook Indian food at home so I get herbs, spices and copper kitchen items from the shop. The range of items is great. I've never not found what I'm looking for. Recently I bought a copper water bottle which is my all-time favourite now. I would also consider this shop to purchase items for friends who enjoy mindful gifts.

EXPIRED PRODUCTS!!! ⚠️⚠️ They make fool out of their costumers. Absolutely terrible experience at this store. Not only did they repeatedly sell expired products, but their staff also displayed incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior. It's shocking that a business like this is allowed to operate. Avoid this place at all costs! The irony is that when you go to them to return the expired products you will find the same products in the shelves with removed dates.

I’m a big fan of the original Fotografiska in Stockholm, so I was excited for this to open and went to the opening event.
The art is great, I love the curation. There were a handful of disappointing moments, like low-quality projectors being used to show photos, that really did a disservice to the work, but overall the shows were great and very well done. I will definitely return for future exhibitions.
The bar was a let down. The bartender was incompetent (and didn’t know what a gin fizz was). The payment system was set up so that you had to wait 3+ minutes after getting your drinks to pay… very inefficient. Hopefully this is something they will iron out in the future.
There were a few other minor opening-night kinks, and the crowds were a bit much, but I’m sure this will all smooth out in the future. I love that they are open late and that you can walk around the exhibitions with a drink - this is what makes this place stand out from other photography museums in Berlin. I will definitely return in the future and I look forward to seeing how it progresses.

Fotografiska Museum transcends the conventional boundaries of a museum. Great place! Ended up buying a shirt and some vegan gummies! The staff were really friendly, I don't know what her name was who was at the till but she had great customer service! Ich habe vor einigen Wochen eine Knoblauchpresse hier gekauft. Nach nur zwei Anwendungen ist die Klinge abgebrochen. Ich wollte sie umtauschen, aber da ich keinen Beleg mehr habe, wurde mein Anliegen von der Filialleiterin abgelehnt. Ich schlage vor, beim nächsten Mal bei Woolworth oder Depot einzukaufen. Als ich dort als Verkäuferin gearbeitet habe, konnten Kunden kaputte Produkte entweder gegen Bargeld oder mit einem Gutschein umtauschen, auch wenn sie keinen Beleg hatten, weil Wert auf Qualität gelegt wurde. Die Produkte von Butler waren von minderer Qualität, und der Kundenservice ließ ebenfalls zu wünschen übrig. Übrigens, in dieser Filiale hat nur die Filialleiterin Entscheidungsbefugnis. Die anderen Mitarbeiter konnten keine Entscheidungen treffen. Aus diesem Grund musste ich drei Mal hinkommen, um die Filialleiterin persönlich zu sprechen. In anderen Geschäften, in denen ich als Verkäuferin gearbeitet habe, gab es in jeder Schicht eine Aufsichtsperson, die befugt war, Sonderfälle zu lösen, anstelle eines einzelnen Chefs.

Relatively big ampelman shop near Brandenburg gate. It’s crowded but has good selection of items.
Not recommended. False marketing, bad and unsafe products. I had ordered a wooden chakla and belan set. This is what was on the website and this is what I received. The yellow polish chips off the wood and gets stuck to the dough. Very unsafe.

The store has a high availability of products you usually get in south asia and gives quite a south asian vibe. The issue is, it gives a south asian vibe even from the aspect of electronic payments. Firstly we aren't living in the 90's. Actually credit cards worked more easily in the 90's than today so this store actually takes you back to the 80's which is fine, but they advertise apple pay on their entrance which is also fine but they should also mention that there is a minimum price requirement to use apple pay because I entered the store after reading the apple pay logo. I was quite disappointed when I was asked to pay cash in 2023. I hope one day we move past this era of cash payments.

I regularly buy food stuff from here but many times I found they keep expired products,it means they don't manage their inventories wisely and don't keep eyes on expired products,Today I bought this kheer Mix,which expired on 2nd Oct.2021.

A great souvenir shop about "Ampelmann" which is the iconic traffic light figure in East Berlin. There are a variety of gifts to buy, from magnets and postcards to t-shirts and candy.

Tried to visit this store at 4pm on a Friday - but they are closed. Lights off and door locked with no other information posted.
The shop is kind of compact in size and contained miscellaneous products.

A lot of intrior products with the nice price. At the moment you can find here different kind of Christmas decoration products. Also kitchen products. Good location in side the shopping mall. Easy to come with public transport or with a car.

Ich habe eine Stunde bevor ich dort war angerufen und gefragt, ob sie etwas Vorort haben.. die Antwort: „Ja, kommen Sie vorbei“. Als ich dort war, wurde mir gesagt, dass der Artikel ausverkauft ist… Schade, dass die Verkäuferin am Telefon etwas behauptet, ohne dass es stimmt. Eine aufrichtige Entschuldigung habe ich auch nicht bekommen. Danke für die Zeitverschwendung.
Stay away from this online store. They have a quite advanced method of stealing from the products. They cut the bag of spices, they steal part of it and they try to cover the cut with transparent film tape!!! And then they ship the spices bags hoping that the clients will not observe the transparent film tape and the missing quantity. :( This my experience with india-store.de : I was placing an order to India Store, order no. 100206 from 05/03/2022 02:43:13. The items are different bags of spices. I received all the bags, looked at them quick and I thought they are in good order. I placed them in the storage room until first use. In few weeks I wanted to use the TRS Black Pepper Whole, Content: 400 g and, at a closer look, I noticed that the bag was cut and then taped with transparent adhesive tape. I measured the quantity and there were 280 g of pepper seeds instead of 400 g. In other words, I received a cut bag of pepper seeds and a third of quantity was stolen.
As soon as I noticed the problem I sent an email to the store, but they claimed claimed it was too late (it was a month). The truth is that I could not notice this theft made professionally to be unobserved (they used transparent adhesive tape and they stolen just a part of the quantity, hoping that nobody will notice).
My question to them is are they more interested in how quick I observed the damage / missing products or they are interested that one of your clients received a black pepper bag that was cut, a third of the quantity stolen and then taped with transparent tape? This is not concerning them? The missing part is 1.497 Euro. This is my loss. They think that I am spending my time for about 1.5 Euro? No, I am making a complain as a principle of honor. They should stop doing this and you should check if their employees are not stealing products parts in this way. And I am not sure if the product was not becoming dirty or somehow affected during the stealing.

Ampelmann everything, a funny tourist stop with something for everyone. We grabbed some beers there for our walk, and had a chat with the outstanding guy working the counter.

Wahnsinnsservice, ich bin ganz sprachlos! 24h nach der Online-Bestellung hatte ich sie bereits bei mir zuhause - und das am Tag vor Heiligabend. Noch dazu wunderschön verpackt und mit handgeschriebener Dankes- und Grußkarte. Nur zu empfehlen! Wenn ich mal wieder in Berlin bin, komme ich auf jeden Fall persönlich vorbei.

Kleiner, feiner Laden mit einem unglaublich abwechslungsreichen Sortiment. Total freundliche und kompetente Beratung. Macht Spaß, hier einzukaufen.
Sehr geschmackvoller Laden mit schöner Kleidung aus nachhaltigen Materialien wie Tencel, Modal und Leinen und hübschen Kleinigkeiten wie Schmuck von Ruby on tuesday und lustige Socken von Adam. Viele der Kleidungsstücke sind hauseigene Designs und ich finde die Preise fair. Ich habe mir schon einige Stücke zugelegt und bin rund um zufrieden mit allen. Die Sachen sind schön, alltagstauglich, vielseitig und angenehm zu tragen. Die Damen im Laden sind unaufdringlich aber hilfsbereit und es macht riesigen Spaß dort zu bummeln und die vielen schönen Dinge anzuschauen. Der Webshop funktioniert auch sehr gut (hat man nicht immer...) Ich finde es inspirierend zu sehen wie leidenschaftlich, zuverlässig, sinnlich und pragmatisch die Besitzerin Sabine Kelle dieses Business führt.

Somehow it reminded me of the small town supermarkets down there and this one is in the middle of huge Berlin. Crazy. Next time I will definitely try the meat pies. 😭🖤

Small but well stocked with souvenir items, plant seeds, goodies, anzac cookies, tim tams for the slam. The vegemite and violet crumble are out of stock unfortunately when I came in but here's hoping they'll restock it. There is a sign saying they have freshly baked Lamingtons so I'll be back next time to check it out. ❤️

I shopped here for some boots, for which they have a range to choose from. The woman (who I think is from Mount Isa) gave me remarkable customer service and helped me with the fitting and final decision making. Recommend shopping here for your next pair of Aussie boots.
I've been here twice and have always been treated to great service and a lovely selection of clothes. There's always so much I'd like to buy. The clothes are not cheap 'fast fashion', they are often sustainable and made close by, mostly still accessibly priced. Great shop, make a point to pass by every few months.

It's a small shop but has most of the things you need. It's filled with many items, starting from items for eating to items for celebrations! Also if you are looking for Indian vegitables n all, then this is not the shop. It has all packages items. Shopkeeper is polite and friendly.
With all kinds of souvenir of Ampelmann. The store is quite hidden, but you should be able to find it when you see a small tunnel with small Ampelmann signs.

Nice little shop with a lot of products of the iconic Ampelmann. From T-Shirt to mugs. From sweets to beach chairs.
I liked the shop and the selection of products very much. Instead, the lady taking care of the clientele was really not nice at all. I felt disregarded, treated differently than other customers and bitterly talked to. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that made my experience at the shop quite unpleasant and decided to leave (even if I had seen a couple of very nice things... That I will now buy online or somewhere else. Schade!)
Lovely shop！It's Berlin’s iconic brand featuring the Eastern “Ampelmännchen” (the two traffic light men). As a city brand they offer innovative products and unforgettable experiences in this capital city. For tourists, a stop at the Ampelmännchen is a must.

The service here is really amazing! The manager of the store was able to help me exchange sizes for shirt that I received as a present. And even though they have rules regarding how these transactions are handled she went out of her way to find a solution that worked. She didn't have to and it was even relatively busy when she took the time to help me. I'm very grateful and would definitely recommend anyone visiting Berlin to go here for souvenirs and great service.

Took coffee here. It was good. Place seems to be popular. Always croudy when was waiting for coffee. It is not only coffee shop, but also souvenirs shop.
Charming place with lots of nice ampelmann, and other things, souvenirs. The selection is wide with varied price ranges, and the quality is pretty good. It's located in a hidden lovely alley near the Hackescher market. The vendor is kind and available to explain and provide advice.
Avoid like the plague. It feels like a poorly run Disney set than a historic reminder of our difficult past.
A gallery selling broken pieces of an old wall with graffiti. Not even clear if that piece of stone has anything historical to it or if it is newly created. We get the same pieces in a shop on the road side as well.
I adore Ampelmann, so I visited this branch as I needed a new lanyard for work. This particular beach has a small coffee shop attached, which I didn’t use. Browsing the shop, I was surprised at the range of merchandise they have on offer. They even have ear studs!! I got my lanyard, under €5 so I was pleased, but I also asked about another item, which I didn’t end up buying, but the assistant was more than happy to help me when I couldn’t find it. Great experience and a great little souvenir shop if you don’t want I ❤️ Berlin t-shirts or a piece of the wall.

Love the Ampleman symbol and have a couple of good quality souvenirs, but would have really liked if there was something different than having all the usual pieces - magnets, mugs, umbrellas and such.

Yes this is a souvenir store, but the ampelmann is an interesting Berlin niche concept based on traffic light symbols!

Best souvenir shop ever.
I suppose it has to be seen.. place of historical significance but has become a place to take photos with good looking soldiers instead ;)
Spent more time outside as such a great atmosphere. I loved this area so much going on. A must see if Berlin .. we payed 5 Euros each to have our passports stamped .. authentic! They do the checking as it was done, in old style horse cart/cars regularly for tourists to see. Lots to buy & much cheaper to eat & drink this area ..hot chocolate & chocolate donut from McDonald's fair heated me up hax

When you are visiting Berlin as a tourist ... this can be one of the points of interest for you.
Lovely shop with beautiful handmade clothes/jewellery/accessories and a homey atmosphere. The designer's studio is attached to the shop, so you can watch your clothes come into existence.
Smaller size shop than alternative @ Unter den Linden... Could possibly fit a few more items to choose from, but is ok.
The place is amazing. Ampelmann is a symbol of Berlin so it's worth a visit. The staff were really friendly and nice. The only downside is that it's probably a little pricey.

One of the prettiest Ampelmann shop I have been too in Berlin! Located in Hackesche Höfe. It might be slightly difficult to find as it is located in a secluded corner.

When I am in Berlin, I stop here for a cappuccino and pastry when in old West Berlin. It is a clean place. You can sit outside or inside. I have always been treated well by the workers. Free internet. The gift store is nice, but there is no shortage of Ampelmann souvenirs for less money in Berlin.
