Cute Little Café, the Service is very friendly and the Food is good too. Price is Cheap.
My review applies to the Blue Bottle Coffee experience ~ didn’t do much or purchase anything at the clothing store.
Great coffee, ordered two ice lattes. The beans (future blend) is definitely different from the typical beans served at blue bottle. Very smooth and flavorful.

Coffee is decent and staff is super friendly. However, it’s still better for taking out.
Made the special trip to experience the Human Made x Blue Bottle experience. The Human Made store sells exclusive Blue Bottle x Human Made mugs, coffee drippers, etc. among other regular merchandise. Got a free fridge magnet with my purchase. I enjoyed my Americano coffee from the future roast coffee and felt like I received great service. This was worth the trip.
Good place to chill and basic brekkie in the morning. Just be noted that indoor smoking is allowed

Foreigners beware!!!! We are Canadian and really try to respect Japanese culture as much as possible. We went in thinking this would be a lovely experience and we immediately felt that we were not welcome. We were basically told we could only get one type of drink and they said no food available- she took away the menu before we could even ask about food or other drink options. Then a couple of Japanese men came in and they were given time with the menu and both served various drinks and food, full breakfast! We were shocked and disappointed by their racism. They are not friendly to non Japanese. This was probably on ur worst experience on our japan trip. We are very disappointed.

Not a fresh coffee and not a good service. The barista heated our coffee in a microwave and when a local guy enter after us he made him a fresh filter coffee. Very disappointing.
Rokuyosha is my favourite coffee shop in Kyoto. they serve an excellent coffee and donut, and got a great “Good Old Days” Kissa-ten vibe.
This cafe was so cute and fun. All the pictures on the wall, place mats, and Decor was cat themed. And the whole time I was eating a cat was playing outside the window next to the cafe. It was so nice. It seems like the locals come here often as the owner knew the names of both the customers who came while I ate. Defo recommend for a cute chill time:)

Great coffee on a great setting. Beautiful garden, with camellias blooming, on zen set up.
Delicious coffee, thick toast, and a salad for only around 600 yen! The female shop owner was so sweet, even though my Japanese is poor. Definitely stop by for breakfast or coffee!

最近は何故だか色々な純喫茶にお邪魔する事を習慣にしており、この日はAMBIENT KYOTO目的の京都観光の2日目に休憩がてらお邪魔させて頂きました。
お店は外観も店内もとてもスタンダードでして、The純喫茶という佇まいでして居心地の良さは最高です♪常連のお客さんが多いような気がしますねー
あと、居心地の良さだけでなくアイスコーヒーも普通に美味しいです！

The atmosphere of this #cafe was amazing! I really loved it. Service was quite good. The waiter was very kind. The food was okay. It would be nice if they wouldn't serve tap water. Cospa was a bit expensive. Also since it is a #smoking cafe, l don't recommend it for non-smokers.
We came in, ordered promptly, and waited for a while for our food. We figured it was busy and taking some time, but saw pretty quickly about ten other customers (all locals) get their food before us, all of whom had come in after us. When asking if our food was coming (after 45 min), the servers just looked confused and so we left. We were not being served. They won't kick you out and it'll seem as though you will be served but we were ignored. Wouldn't recommend.
The coffee is fairly priced and the staff is nice. I would give the shoutout to the atmosphere, however. It was absolutely lovely and a great place to be whilst it rained outside
I had an appointment nearby, so I stopped in for a coffee. The coffee is excellent, but the cheesecake here is one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Pair that with a great music selection and a cool wood interior: 10/10
This is a cool 70s vibe coffee and bar (from 5pm) No latte or cappuccino here, but instead you can have a milk (heated in a pan) coffee and simple and delicious homemade doughnuts accompanied by classical music (Mozart at time of writing)

Very cool atmosphere to spend time in, the sound setup was high quality with good music being played. Also some of the best tasting coffee I’ve had, highly recommend stopping by.

We came across this cafe just half an hour before it closed for breakfast. We were so lucky! It is a very cosy cafe, with yummy breakfast!
Beautiful mix of modern and historic design with a beautiful zen garden in the back. Coffee is bold and with a balanced flavor profile for the mixed drinks.

Nice little cafe for cold drinks, coffee and Sandwiches. Couple who ran the cafe spoke a bit of english and were extremely hospitable.
壬生寺界隈で開いているコーヒー屋さんを探し、見つけました。9時から開いているので小休憩でき助かりました✨ジャズが店内に流れ、落ち着いた雰囲気です。サボテンの中からお香か漂い、良い感じ😊バスクチーズケーキとアイスコーヒーを頼みましたが、美味しかったです。バスクチーズケーキはこってりしてはいますがお皿にお塩が添えられていて、より旨味を感じました🍰ごちそうさまでした✨

If you like coffee, maybe this place will be better. Certainly the other reviews say they do it well. As for me, I always get tea with my morning sets. Tea IS on their menu. In fact, it’s cheaper than the coffee (at least the coffee at the top of menu). When I asked to change it for the morning set, the woman coldly responded “Only coffee”. “Tea is on the menu.” “For the morning set, it’s only coffee.” All of this conversation was in Japanese.
Other reviewers mentioned the friendly nature of this place. I didn’t find that at all. On top of that, smoking is allowed and the place stinks. I only spent 2 minutes in here and it was 2 minutes too long.

Coffee shop with a distinctive bunny theme, good iced coffee and “pancake” desert! Friendly staff:) A little hidden so searched to find, a gem nonetheless
Food tasted good but didnt really look as advertised and I had no idea the food was just in bags and would be microwaved hot like a 711.
My "tapioca boba" was made the same way, a tiny packet of tapioca and sirup with milk added to it. The waiter had asked me if I wanted cream on top and I answered yes. They seemed to be empty of the cream but they still served it to me without an apology nor any compensation. (See picture)

I do not like to leave poor reviews, however, … Smoking allowed in such a small shop, and the food was clearly just gyomu-super bottled coffee and cake for 1250 yen, we will not be bringing our guests, or recommending this establishment. It is a shame considering the historic value of the tile-work.

東寺の弘法市の帰りに寄りました。日曜日にやってる喫茶店が周辺にあまりなく、またホットサンドが食べたかったので探したらこちらに。入ってみると常連さんが多いようで店主と会話が弾んでました。ホットサンドはコーヒーセットで800円と破格の安さで美味しかったです。ただ入ってわかったのですが店内喫煙可能でした（苦笑）禁煙なら★5つでした。
I have been coming to this place many years. Coffee is great and can also be purchased to drink home. Sandwiches are delicious . Cakes are so so though. The man owner is friendly - not the case of the woman staff who can be actually rude and very unfriendly and almost never smiles. It is a pity because when she is in charge , I actually not go anymore.

I’m a human Mande and Blue Bottle fans, and very excited to find the shop there. Actually Human Made side is very fashion the old building but stylish inside, and the employee are very kind. But when I came to Blue Bottle side wants a chocolate, the clerk wasn’t kind. I can’t speak Japanese, but I don’t think the staff wants reply my questions. Don’t even look at me when I told to her. Feel very disappointing and impolite when I came to such the brand I love.
Very cozy place. The owner is very nice, prices are fair and the food is great. I highly recommend the curry. And if you're lucky you get to pet the cute cats!

Nice coffee and the curry rice is perfect. Pretty cozt shop and the staff are nice too.
Cozy coffee alcove away from the noisy bustling main street. Polite service as usual. Food items could be more extensive. A local and gaigin favorite.
I would say the service isn't the best and they close at 5 so they will kick you out by 5.

Retro cafe with a compilation of antique-looking decorations. Gives a feeling of a long-standing cafe. A bit overdramatic classical music that is blending and contrasting at the same time. Smoking is allowed in the ground floor although ventilation is not very efficient. Resulting stale air will not be to everybody's taste.

Helpful and friendly staff for a hypebeast shop (how Bathing Ape used to be 10+ years ago), it hard not to want to buy anything.
Limited products, but it’s how their marketing works depending on the campaign. Definitely worth dropping in and checking out… but be warned, you’ll want to buy something. Lolll

The place is small yet cozy, the food is great and also their coffee! So its a must visit in the area. They offer set meals too for lunch. They also serve delicious desserts. You can watch the fresh coffee beans getting grind too!

I LOVED my cuppa of coffee with milk!
Minimalistic cafe that has a zen garden at the back so if you want to relax and enjoy the view, this is a good cafe to do that. Their beverages though beg for better hot selection as well as better baristas that make them - latte is weak and steamed milk is an amateur effort. However if you like cold beverages then this place has a much better selection.

One of the most beautiful cafes. Like a historic landmark. Unfortunately had a truly bizarre service experience. My girlfriend tried to order another coffee about 30 min after we arrived and the waiter wouldn’t bring us menu or accept the order. Other reviewers here reported being asked to leave shortly after arriving, but we were literally trying to give them more money and they wouldn’t accept it. They were open for another 75 minutes, had seats open, and were bringing people in to seat them. It was wildly confusing, I couldn’t understand. My only guess is that my girlfriend was working on her laptop and they don’t like laptops?
On a far more subjective note, I’ve been in Japan for two months now and a dozen times in years past…..but the young women working here seemed uniquely unhappy. As if this was an abusive family business where the waiters were mistreated. There was a strange pain under the surface, like PTSD. Whatever the story, I hope things get better.

I went there twice for the same lunch menu: Roastbeef with salad which is delicious. I also like the variety of coffees one can get there. The cakes & sweets section is not at the same level.
The interior reminds me somehow of a gift shop for organic products. Comfy chairs and relaxing music. Wifi makes studying and working easy with the good smell of a cup of coffee. Rather on the expensive side.

I ramdomly went in and only knew after the lunch visit that this is a very notable shop to be mentioned on Social Networks because it is very close to the Fushiri-Inari. The hostress was friendly and there was an English menu.
I could see that the shop has acquaintance guests. It's not the shop's problem, but as a foreigner knowing little Japanese, hearing other guests talking and laughing around, I sat in and felt a little exotic and nervous - just a little out-of-place.
The lunch curry was well cooked. A pity I didn't find out how to order a matcha dessert from the menu. But above all, it was a good lunch.

Nice place, quiet and cozy. Ordered a latte with pound cake, cake was moist with lemony flavor. Coffee is good. Staff are very nice and friendly.
Been here twice and never been disappointed! The whole cafe just radiated safe space, relaxing, and warmth aura makes it so hard to get up and leave the place. I came here to study and it was such a great experience! Free WiFi and big space. My favorite drink is Cafe Mocha, the coffee and chocolate tasted so heavenly✨ I also tried the cheesecake for the first time and wasn’t disappointed at all. Definitely going back soon!

The interior has wooden walls and ceiling, soft comfortable chairs, so if you are ok with smoking, you want to spend some time with a book or a newspaper here.
As the coffee shop was full of customers, I was seen to the table where another customer was already sitting, to sit with him together at one table - it’s pretty uncommon custom in Japan, but I believe it was not rare in old days, so I think it is cute that you can experience this attitude here. Amazing little, cozy, café. The coffee was freshly ground, and the food was excellent: the sandwiches were really tasty, and I would definitely recommend the cheese tart!
Small and Not many seats, and when we came it was Reserved, all reserved. it was opened a bit earlier than normal cafes what I liked but we just had to go options.. and it was also a Smoker cafe what I don't like. but Good location close to the palace park
A very strange experience. We were not allowed to sit in the store - I can only assume because we are gaijin, since it was completely empty. We weren’t even allowed to wait for our coffee to be made, but instead had to sit outside and wait even though it was winter. But we actually thought all that was pretty funny and wouldn’t have minded if the coffee had been good. However, it was quite expensive and extremely mild, almost to the point of tastelessness.

Family-run shop with excellent hand-dripped coffee, and fantastic super-chocolaty chocolate cake. Unfortunately smoking is allowed here. It’s well ventilated though, with doors on both ends open to let the smoke out. Credit cards accepted here.

Favorite restaurant in Fushimi area. Ordered the breakfast curry dish and it was amazing. Sent me on a breakfast and lunch curry obsession for the rest of the trip and this was still the best. Small menu, but that doesn't matter because each item on the menu has been carefully perfected. Worth the visit. Originally tried avoiding places near the Inari stop to give places closer to our Airbnb a fair chance, but this place still wins. Wish I had asked for the secret recipe to make this amazing dish. Also came with a drink and some fruit. Cute place, very under-rated. We brought our baby in as well and there was no issue. Must order by 8:30 AM since this is the lady's house and she closes before opening again later in the day. Worth the visit. Small cozy place with eccentric cat items and cute decorations.
Please update your opening times on Google Maps. It’s very inconvenient to think you’re going to be open and find out you’re closed when we get there, especially as not many cafes open early so when you find one that’s open and then it’s not, it’s super disappointing.
Really relaxed cute cosy cafe & customer service very good. The coffee & hot cocoa really good (coca came with little biscuit too). We also had toast & butter, which was a big serve of toast & super yummy, it's served with fruit & honey combe biscuits also yummy. The banana cake was amazingly delicious, it was so fluffy & light, it was served with some fruit & cream. I definitely recommend going here & prices are very reasonable. They also have an English menu too.

Very nice service and some of the best drip I’ve had in Japan, which is saying something. We sat in the non-smoking section upstairs and also tried some of their food. The cheesecake and cinnamon toast were a great pick-me-up after walking the palace grounds.
Great little place down the road from where we stayed. Very friendly owner . English menu and he likes to try his English as I tried my poor Japanese Ha Ha . Small menu but most of the Breakfast regulars you'll find in Japan ( egg sandwich, toast and jam , ham and cheese sandwich) very decent coffee too. Not espresso, usual drip stuff you'll find in Japan but great all the same. Shop is very small has 3 tables for 2 large people each or 4 small people and a table for 1 in the corner. There is smoking allowed. Very cool old school feel.
Great space, good tasting food. The coffee was good and they have comfortable couches to lounge in a cozy space with lots of lights and plants. Free WiFi as well.
Not great. Mediocre tea served with warm, smelly milk. Stale smoke smell combined with loud, particularly stressful movements from clichéd classical pieces. Avoid.
Interesting coffee shop in old machiya. Owner is friendly and willing to answer any question in ok English. Both interior and food are Showa style.
Shop owner was super friendly, food + cake was very nice, coffee could have been extracted much stronger, especially since we specially asked. Coffee was a bit pricey.

The coffee is best for cold brews. It is very good. I wish I could have breakfast here, the toast looked amazing (on other tables). The place is old school Japanese, even with the smoking customers. The old school did not impact my star rating but slightly did the smoke. Try the coffee and run!
This place was bumping some Wilco and then the soundtrack to Shaft. That gets more points just for that.

Decorated with lots of plants. Relaxing music. Awesome double chocolate muffin and marshmallows coffee. Highly recommended.

Very hipster coffee place where they roast their own coffee. We had butter cafe, iced cafe latte and a berry muffin, all were lovely.
Sat for less than 30 mins, finished the drinks and got kicked out by the stuff. Such rude service and I don't recommend anyone to go there
