We ate here on our first evening in NYC for the second year in a row.
The food is excellent.
Last year I didn’t realise the Crompton Ale House is also a brilliant place to hang out with friends or watching a game on your own and as a late night local.
It is a smart, clean, fun place to visit with plenty of drinks options whether your taste is for draught beer, bottles, spirits or cocktails.
During our stay we got to know almost all of Shane’s staff, including Jeremy, Niall, Sarah, Martin, Rinaldo and Calli, a fellow Bills fan (apologies for any incorrect spelling of names).
All of the staff at this place know what they are doing and are very good at what they do.
Just to emphasise how good the food is, on our last evening in NYC we went back to The Crompton Ale House a second time having promised ourselves that with all of the dining options available in the nearby area we wouldn’t go back to the same place twice, but we did, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Also Shane, a Jets fan, was kind enough to put the Bills game on one of the numerous TVs dotted around the pub and reserved a couple of seats & i assume if asked in advance would put a game on for other NFL fans visiting the bar and wanting to watch their team.

This is the go to place to watch football and have a beer. The food is solid and exactly what you want on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for both college football and NFL. Our server Maeve could not have been nicer. Can’t wait to go back next weekend.
Was a fun bar! We got some waffle fries, wings and cauliflower - classic American food! The ciders aren’t on tap, they’re in cans which was a bit surprising but I’d go back to show a classic American bar

Nice var good service. We werer.guest at the hotel and had really no clear. dea of the closing time..however, 22.30.all Doors to the outside was opened - really cold- with the statement "we are closed" oh well - way too cold to stay anyway.

Burger was very good and filling. Onion rings were unique and tasty. Waitress checked in on us to make sure we were good.
I have not been here in person, but I’ve ordered delivery from here. I placed an online order for a case of beer, & they didn’t have a full case of what I was looking for, they gave me what they had of the beer I specified & then a bunch of additional cans to make up for it, with hand picked recommendations & a hand written note. The hand written note got me. In the age of technology, this personalized service doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t even drink beer but I will absolutely be sending clients here in the future. Thanks again Chris for taking care of us!

Also, the glass dividers in the outdoors table is shame. The idea of large table is for people to celebrate together. Why separate them with glass dividers.

But the nightlife on a Friday and Saturday night can't be beat as far as dancing goes especially around this area closest thing to a nightclub you'll get from a bar. Bartenders are attentive as best as you can especially when a place gets really crowded and it can get really crowded. But all in all it's the best place in the area to go to if you looking for a club vibe. Best to go there around 11:00 12:00 at night.

Pocha32 has very cool interiors and good food. We ordered their famous watermelon soju cocktail, it could be a little stronger.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Great beer selection. Well kept bar.
Sidewalk sign advertises happy hour draft beers for $6, walked in and ordered a beer, and was charged $7.90. Small unnoticeable sign in the window says draft beers $7.
Update your sidewalk sign. Say $7 plus tax. I wasn't the only customer unpleasantly surprised by this. Felt very misleading, won't be returning.

The bar was fine but the bartender was extremely rude and unpleasant to multiple individuals in our party without any cause or reason (not willing to elaborate on the drinks menu, being very short and only paying attention to her friends that came in etc.). If you don’t enjoy working with people, you might consider another profession.
A wonderful place to host a large group of friends with no pretentious drink minimums or room rental fees. The manager, I’m blanking on her name, was wonderful—kind, thoughtful and attentive! We had a fantastic experience hosting my husband’s birthday party here and would highly recommend to anyone!
Drinks are bit pricey but it’s NY I get it . The frose was really good. We had the chicken nachos which were decent. The fried ice cream for dessert was a great way to end the night.
Amazing vibes. Not gonna lie, walked in here expecting a cookie-cutter restaurant-bar experience and ended up really just appreciating the ambiance and the drinks. Great spot for that. Bring a couple friends out for a drink. Food is also really good. The french dip was amazing!
Buffalo Chicken sandwich was mostly bread, produce was good quality, the beer towers are the best part of this bar for sure. Great spot to get drinks overall, outside could use music.
Not bad per se, It just wasn't for us and was just nothing like what we expected. The girls behind the bar both seemed drunk and very young (good for them I guess?) Had a college/spring break vibe which was just weird especially during the day on the UWS... loud music, cheap drinks though!
Went there with a group of friends a few days ago. We were treated very badly by one of the male staff there. It was a Korean guy with a strong build and about 5’3, was wearing a hat. Extremely poor service and ignorant attitude. The food looks nice on the outside but tastes bland and nothing special. Terrible experience.

No frills beer joint. My second time here. Good eats for a beer place. Good selection of craft beer but very expensive - $10 a pint. Kinda soured the whole experience at the end of it. Happy hour I think they’re $7 so might be better to go then
Just went in there to grab a drink for the first time..... saw the sign inside that said half off all beer for happy hour until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays so I ordered one at 7:15 and was charged $8.75.... when I asked the bartender about the happy hour sign her only explanation was that "the sign was wrong"

consider this 0 stars. we were removed due to what i can only assume was discrimination. the hostess on 8/4/23 (who refused to share her name) had a prejudice — if she doesn’t have one against you then you may have a decent time drinking overpriced beer!
The fruit soju here is really good! You can barely taste the alcohol, just the watermelon and melon sweetness. The wait time is quite long, especially on a fri and sat night.
My Guinness was warm and the burger was very over priced. The bun was cheap and you have to pay for every add on including lettuce. I asked for the buyer medium and it was medium-well. Over all disappointing.
Standard sports bar with TVs, beer towers, and bar food. Where you’d want to go to catch a game but it will get busy during nfl season or major sporting events. Get there early or reserve a spot
Nice people and the best deal in town - $3 bud light cans, Hot Dog with fries for $5.99. Early on the weekends I love their $6.50 margaritas. They taste like vacation. Why go anywhere else?

Best staff in the world. Comparable to 11th Madison service. Waffles gives it 10 stars.
We were visiting NYC from Ireland and staying in a hotel close by. The first night, we went in all 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids ate there, selection and menu we're excellent and food was delicious. Service and staff couldn't have been better.
We went back several nights after for drinks, and the bar owner Shane, staff Roger, Leo, and all were top class and really took care of us.
I'd you're looking for dinner, drinks or family meal, go there you won't be disappointed.

Came for a drink, I got a margarita, which was made with infused habanero peppers, and it barely tasted like it. You could taste the lime and grapefruit,(possibly the bartender forgot to add it?)! When I asked the bartender if that's how it's suppose to taste she said they never heard of the drink being weak. I thought maybe my spice level tolerance was high, and asked my partner who does not like spicy anything to try it. He too agreed that it was weak. The bartender left much to be desired. I guess there is a first time for everything, and today was the day when a server doesn't care to be bothered and fix a problem. Per receipt, people say to ask and I want to add, typically when business say cash DISCOUNT, it is SUBTRACTED from the bill not added. Won't be back.

By far my fave bar on the Upper West! The staff is incredible and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. The manager, Sergio, and one of the bartenders, Zack, are the best in the business! A great place to watch football, grab a beer and celebrate! Never disappoints.
My fiancé and I are UWS locals and spend each football Sunday here. We’ve also both had our birthdays at GK’s two years in a row and they never disappoint! The manager, Sergio, is incredibly kind, hospitable and generous and the bar staff are great as well. Love this place, a local favorite 👍🏻
The only thing worse than the food is the service, including that of the manager. I just moved in next door and thought this could be a go to place, instead I had the worst experience I had in a long time. Thankfully there is no shortage of other pubs in the area, which are more worthy of my money and of yours.

Yea I've never been treated this way and I feel sorry for other who will experience this again.

I have been to this place 3 times and it’s one of my favorite in the city. I went last summer, during the fall, and yesterday. It has become a place of sentimental value to me. My husband and I got married on Friday so we went here for our first date as a married couple. The food is delicious. Best fish tacos ever and the guacamole makes you want seconds from how fresh it is. The atmosphere is so colorful and upbeat. Instantly puts you in a bubbly mood. The staff always exceeds my expectations by their excellent friendly service. My husband is already talking about going back. Definitely recommend going.

I live just around the corner and was hoping to find a friendly local bar. I was in the mood for a burger and read good reviews about this place. To be fair the burger was pretty good, but the service was the most unfriendly I have experienced in New York. The woman behind the bar barely acknowledged me, didn't ask what I wanted to drink, and said nothing when I ordered food. To ask if I wanted a second drink she just tapped the glass. She said 4 words to me all night. She was friendly and chatty to the regulars, so she was not just having a bad day, but obviously can't be bothered with new customers . I paid the check with a credit card and was surprised to see a 3% credit card surcharge. There is nothing on the menu about this, and no mention was made to me to give me the option to pay in cash. Besides it is illegal in New York to add a credit card fee state without clearly showing the different prices.
It's a pretty chill spot. Much quieter than the other places although it can get loud at times.
Didn’t get food but the beer and service were stellar. I’m sure based on that and other peoples dishes near me the food must be great as well. Looking forward to trying it out on my next visit!
The Beer Garage is a great little bar with a decent selection of beers and great, friendly staff. It wasn't crowded when we went which was really nice. A great place to stop and grab a drink or three.
It was fine, nothing special. Nice little outdoor seating area out front, but just average quality drinks. Can't comment on the food as I didn't eat anything. Service was pretty attentive.
The best place for dinner or a fun night out! The menu has a lot of GF options and the food never disappoints!! They have lots of options for beer and basic cocktails, the service is always amazing. I will definitely return soon :)
Great spot for drinks and snacks! Huge contingent of regulars, you always bump into a friend, be they a customer or bartender. Staff is super friendly and attentive, totally a community you want to be a part of in the Gramercy neighborhood.

Great location with a BACKYARD area. There are so many beers, wines and seltzers to choose from and the service was amazing. Our bartender was super nice! Definitely will return!
We got the watermelon soju. We finished it in 30mins and didn’t get tipsy at all. I asked the server how much of soju they put in there and he said 1.5 bottles of soju. I know that’s not true at all. Will never go back and I tell my friends not to go there either. Definitely dilute the cocktail. Our server never showed up except to get the order and give us the check. We had to talked to two other servers who were actually doing their job tables next to us. I gave her 10 percent tip (I usually tip at least 20 percent or above of course) and she chased me down and asked me why I only gave her 10 percent lol. The manager needs to train their employees. Oh and also we had some pancake leftover and we asked the server(not our main server bc she was nowhere to be found) for the to go boxes and he brought us a container for soups……. I told him can I get the to go box for the pancake(i pointed to the pancake) and he was like “i gave it to you”….. so i said
“ yeah but this is for soups. we need the one for pancake” DO NOT GO HERE……I’m Korean myself and as Korean, I’m ashamed that this place is a Korean restaurant in NYC. This place was updated last year and it really shows. We enjoyed an outdoor table on a Sunday afternoon. We were in the shade and love the area was huge, great for groups or couples. Attentive and friendly service for the outside. Good variety of drinks and broad menu of food. Game days are packed, so come early and you'll need to sit inside, but plenty of room and tons of screens. Awesome people watching! As expected the crowd is young and boisterous late nite weekends. A great neighborhood bar. Enjoy!
Place is small and has low ceilings so it can get quite loud. We found ourselves having to shout across the table to hear each other. The service here was below average and we felt like the staff doesn’t really care.

There were some good pints though. The rice cakes, kimchi fried rice and army stew tasted like the classic dishes and were flavorful. The army stew was packed with lots of meat.

Advertised craft beer but everything was AB inbev or a rebranded macro.
This is probably the only bar in Manhattan that plays yeehaw music. Go if you have a wild craving for bud light and songs about girls and pickup trucks while you're on the lower east side for some reason.

Oh, wow! After all the renovations, it's amazing how this bar managed to transform itself into yet another generic watering hole for the basic bros of Murray Hill. Now you can enjoy the ambiance of endless sports on flat TV screens, just like every other bar in the universe. The outside used to have some character, but let's be real, who needs that when you have the opportunity to watch every single game ever played, 24/7?
And don't even get me started on the clientele. These toxic sports-obsessed frat boys and their bruh-ettes who pretend to know what a touchdown is just to cozy up to the guys? Please! They're infiltrating and destroying downtown Manhattan like a bunch of drunken, jersey-wearing Godzilla's

Fun bar modeled after an actual car garage in west village. Bartender guy was super friendly and attentive. We tried a variety of cool things

Probably of my favorite bars in WV - their brunch is actually really yummy too! Usually pretty crowded on the weekends, but if you go early enough you can snag a table
Great Irish pub right near Amsterdam. Had fun playing pool and the food was great too. We only had the chicken fingers and a cup of chili but both were great. Very friendly bartender as well. Will be back when I’m in the area.
The day bartender is the best! I cannot have synthetic aspirin or other things for headaches. I ate somthing that triggered a massive headache. Vodka works. The day bartender was awsome!

Awesome place, discovered it a few weeks ago after several years of staying at a local hotel. Roger, Meg and Shane at the bar were super friendly. Highly recommend this place. Had the pigs in a blanket and sliders.
This is the best Korean restaurant I had in New York. The BBQ squid is out of my mind, too delicious. The fried rice is no joke either, literally 10/10. Wish I can come back for this fried rice.

Went there for a late night dinner. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait on line. The place is a bit overcrowded, which is typical for a polular pub in Korea Town. Definitely a place where you have to yell at each other in order for you to hear someone speak. Food was really good though! Whoever the chef is definitely knows how to cook! Although the portions were a bit smaller than we thought compared to the price. The service was polite. Do make sure to pay attention to your check as they already add a tip to the bill and yet there is another tipping option at the bottom.

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. To my surprise, the wait was not long at all, as we were quickly seated and attended to. The service was outstanding, I and enjoyed trying the Crompton burger, with a side of seasoned fries, along with the Peachy Bellini cocktail. The atmosphere in itself was pleasant, warm, and inviting. I would recommend this establishment to anyone touring the Chelsea, Manhattan area, and I would love to make a return soon!
We were in Manhattan for a weekend and stumbled upon this little pub. Pete was our bartender what a great guy what an awesome place we had a great time actually went back the next day to watch the bengals play. Will most definitely visit again absolutely enjoyed it.
Great food and friendly service, in a place open until midnight, and with beer on the tap! Tried the vegetarian Quesadilla, Nachos, and mashed potatoes. Loved the stuffed veggies, cheese, and flavors in the Quesadilla, and the toasty nachos with fresh guacamole. The mashed potatoes were done well too. A friend tried the beer and chicken Quesadilla and seemed to enjoy them. Tastefully done interiors and bar. Food can seem pricey. Tea lights at the table could shed some light on the food :) My camera saw the colors better. Free street parking nearby after 7 pm. Outdoor seating and party space are available.
A pretty good spot for a Wednesday lunch, not packed. Service was good. The restaurant has a nice vibe that is classic pub with a steampunk edge, with cogs as a regular theme. The cheese curds appetizer was awesome, and the dip was flavorful with pleasantly warm spices. I had the mushroom flatbread; the description said it would have arugula on top but mine had sprouts instead. My husband liked the fries in his fish and chips, but the breading on his fish was rubbery. Our son had a chicken quesadilla, and having tried a bite, I can say that it was very good, a nice mix of chicken and cheese. I ordered a pint of Magner’s on tap, and I haven’t had that fresh since I was in the UK in 2019, so that was nice. My husband enjoyed the Crompton red ale.
A nice quaint beer spot that always has sports on their TV's. Wings and fries are really good so there isn't much more you can ask for while watching a local team play.

I went on a Thursday at 8pm w my cousins. We got the sampler and some drinks. It was busy but not packed…at all. The music was so loud and it was super unenjoyable. There was no need for the volume. Know how to read the room DJ.
Here you find the best fries with cheese and bacon in NY! Reminds me a lot of the French fries we have in Brazil! The chicken wings are super yummy! I recommend with eyes closed!
Restaurant is nice inside and easy to get to from Times Square. Nice cocktails and food but normal New York prices expected. The nachos were good. Nice for relaxing as couple or small group. A variety of people were there, even a bridal party celebrating bachorette party there. Nice bar where you may find single females. ENJOY!
This place is amazing for your group to get together and hangout at. Great Finger foods. Everything is delicious. Drinks are awesome 👌 👏
Food is pretty good (didn't have coffee on hand, but had no problem putting in a fresh pot). A bit pricy, but a good place to meet, talk business, or just hang for a while. Staff could be a bit more personal/ friendly, but they are efficient, so that's appreciated.
The Pubs Ambiente is nice but the cocktail prices and their size is just a joke.

I arrived here and went into the right side where I saw a crowded bar and a QR code for an app to pay but not order drinks. Apparently this was the wrong entrance. The other door brought me to the restaurant proper where I could order food and a drink. The burger wasn't that bad though the bun was awfully dry. I might've had more fun just getting drinks.
The food was really good and so was the Fosters porter. We had the fish n chips and the 3 cheese Mac n cheese
Great bar and restaurant!! I love this place so much! Great cocktails, delicious food and we always get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which is really good! I love their bar food and pretty much everything. The vibe, food and service is just amazing! Highly recommend.

Blue Haven West is a go-to for me to watch games. Inside is great and can get rowdy which adds to the atmosphere. There’s also a ton of outdoor space for when it’s nice out. Don’t sleep on the food either! The General Tso Cauliflower is incredible. Same with the wings and the chicken tenders. Don’t let the funky flat tenders fool you… they are delicious. I get the smoked soy sauce on the side… so good! Some of the best bar food in the city.
There are so many great spots to eat in the neighborhood but if you're looking for a reasonably priced bar that has a traditional New York sports bar atmosphere that draws a lively crowd, is full of energy, frequented by friendly locals and has inclusive and supportive staff (from the bouncer to the bartender), this is your spot! Whether you're sitting at the long bar counter on the stools or further inside at the nice tables set up to drink and share grub with a group of friends, large TV's are on and music is pumping in the air to really create a space for people from all walks of life to have a good time! Even though I'm an extrovert, this is not my usual scene! But I was invited by a friend and being the traveling soul I am, I truly enjoyed myself! Seeing so many people just enjoying life is what's important no matter the road and sometimes all it takes is just a little trip to somewhere new that can honestly give you that refreshing experience!

Lovely location. And sincerely some of the greatest staff. Most definitely the lightest and fluffiest fish and chips if ever had. You’ll want a fork for this one! I’ll be staying near here and come back often. The bar section and dining section make is a good night spot to either start any the bar and transfer to table or Vice versa…I could stay a while. Oh heck, I did! And will again soon.
I've been here once and I tried to go here a second time. The first- the bartender woman was snooty and aloof, she seemed resentful or something. The second time- 2+ hours before closing, I walked in, the barkeep guy told me "we're closing up soon" (the bar counter was fully occupied). I get it if you're tired, but you are clearly not closing for a little while... Whatever. It's a neighborhood thing, I guess.
Honestly, this spot is a cool place to relax and have a drink. Quiet and very neat. Rich hot cocoa

Really great bar for watching football. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The crowd was so accommodating, talkative and lively... but to be completely honest, the food is 1/5 stars.
Great little bar, great ale selection. Ok wine selection (by the glass, at least). Cosy, sports on TV, bar stools and a couple (I think) of tables in a beer garden? Not sure, didn't wander through. Nice restroom too.
They have really good bar food here, super crispy onion rings and tater tots, and the boneless wings were good as well. The staff was really nice and helped us clean a table to sit at outdoors after it had rained.
I usually like George Keeley and frequent there often. Definitely recommend it for a good vibe, good food quality and good beer collection. That said, instead of 4 star I'm going with 3 because of a recent hidden charge on my bill. I asked for mustard and was given a small size plastic cup (the standard ones you find in many places) of mustard and then saw a 0.50 charge when I asked for the bill for the mustard. It is not standard for a bar to charge for mustard and while I'm totally ok if they want to, because it deviates from the standard industry practice they should make it abundantly clear when a customer asks for mustard that there will be a charge. Not making that clear is shady business ethics l.
This bar is not popular than. Before the pandemic, and that is great. It was already painful to see them move out of their historical location on Broadway.... Thanks to the team!
Less lively than I expected for a Saturday night. Ordered the buffalo wings, as the menu claimed them to be the "best in upper west side." They tasted alright, but were nothing I'd write home about. The biggest plus was the draught Guinness - smooth and properly poured. The proprietor was cheery enough to liven up our night a little.
Boneless chicken wings were more like odd chicken patties and they kept an open bucket of chicken wings on a shelving unit in the hall near the kitchen and just down from the bathroom!

Good bar, it's all about the vibe. And it's not what can be faked with loud music or pretentious bartender. When it's the right one, you just can tell instinctively. The staffs here are cheerful and polite. Things taste great. People seem to be happy whatever they've been up to--from watching their weekend match to enjoying one's solo dining. It's all thanks to the place that's got the right vibe.
This is a place for regulars. Everyone knows your name, and is super friendly. They have a changing menu weekly and offer all the general drinks you would want. They offer party reservations for large groups and are very accommodating for extra seating. The waitresses are super friendly and fairly young. The lighting is dim for a chill time. They do play most of the big games going on in the season.
George Keeley is a great bar for craft beers and excellent pub food. Their double-fried wings are the best in the city. Excellent fried pickles. Fantastic GK Standard Burger with barbecue and a fried onion as toppings. For wings, the spicy buffalo, Thai-chili, and jerk are the most popular sauces.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food. A warm, friendly place with hearty comfort food. The drinks were delicious, and the staff was extremely courteous. Can't recommend enough.
There were a lot of children here, who were a little loud. I'm not sure why, because otherwise it was a very classy and adult place. But besides that, I loved all of it.
