Stay away!

Im pretty shocked from the price!
One small room with few butterflies costs 20 euro for a family with 2 adults + 2 children 2+4 years old.
Butterflies are beautiful but the price is absolutely insane for 5 minutes.
We went out after a round that took 5 minutes and we wanted to share our frustration with the manager but she refused to talk to us.
Úžasné prostředí s nádherným oltářem.

Nice terrace bar to enjoy the view of Prague. You can pay the entrance of 100CZK which I don’t think it’s worth it or simply get a juice or a coffee at the bar and have access to the terrace and enjoy the view while sipping coffe which I think it’s the best option.

At the top of the Dancing House, there is a terrace that overlooks the river, offering a stunning view of the castle and Charles Bridge. Entry to the terrace requires a fee or the purchase of a cocktail. The house itself is quite unique and also provides accommodation, as it is a hotel.

The place is great for young children and it is also rightly placed on the 1st floor of Hamleys that attract most kids visiting the store for some toys! The place has wide variety of butterflies, many of them in a small place so must be careful that you don’t hit or stomp a butterfly. Big butterflies moving so close to you makes the kids happy and triggers them to touch, hence parents need to be over cautious not to cause any damage to the butterflies habitat. Overall a good place to spend some evening time like sitting in a garden full of butterflies and watching them fly around!

Before going, I imagined the building to be exceptional, but really, it's just another building across the street that loks slightly different from other buildings.

The cafe in the building is nice, but not overpriced. I only wished that the cafe IN the Dancing building would have some designs or artifacts that denote that it's a special building.

Really bad experience! First, I've been cheated at the beginning - I came with a child( and they clearly saw it), but they sold me 2 adults' tickets, I noticed it only later in the day... and second: it is 2 small rooms! And movie section. I paid almost 30 euros! It is super overpriced. Mucha is one of my favorite artists, so I expected something special from a museum with this name... but it's a trap. Big, big disappointing!
We were there in a huge group. It is a very touristy place. Food was ok, more for the masses than exquisite cuisine. I tried to get Kofola to drink but could only get beer.
Past through here if going to Prague national museum.

This is a very famous building in prague. In weekend it gets very rush and crowded place. Many people take amazing photos with this building.

If you want to take a clean and great photo my suggestion would be, go there early like 8-9-10am. In that time not many tourists come by.

Overall this is good place for Photogenic. A must watch thing in Prague🇨🇿
Beautiful place, a lot of butterflies which are not afraid of people. Kids love it.

It's an interesting place for a relatively quick stop to go up and grab a beverage and enjoy the view. It's not a wow factor kind of view but it's still interesting none the less. If you're in the area and have time I would add it to your day, but if you're on a time crunch I would not make this a priority over other major spots.

Very cozy and nice place, they have inner garden (yard) where to hide from noisy streets and csn feel comfortable and do not disturbed. We listened to musicians who played some instruments. I liked it here, everything was super nice and calm 😊

The Czech National Museum was a delightful experience. The building itself is beautiful and an architectural masterpiece. Very bright with lots of natural light in all the right places. The exhibits are well designed, and I especially enjoyed the collection of meteors.

I visited with a group of students, and the staff were friendly and very helpful in guiding us through the entrance and into the museum.

The shop and cafe are quite decent and I found the prices reasonable and fair.

All in all, it was a great experience, and I would gladly visit again.

Take your time when visiting Narodni Muzeum of Prague if you wish to fully engage in everything that it offers. A whole day for the brave or 3 hours minimum for average people.

It has an amazing collection of minerals if you're into them and a great and detailed permanent animal exhibition.

You can climb the stairs to the top of the museum and have a look at the Prague from the top.

The architecture in itself is also amazing to admire.

Definitely a must visit if you're visiting Prague!
This place is great! Very kid friendly. They also have lockers for your pack. Tickets can be purchased at the kiosk just inside the door. Small snacks can be purchased at the gift shop along with kids toys and a small selection of souvenirs. The bathrooms are clean and good. Lots of really cool exhibits for every age. Beautiful spot for photos too.

What an amazing place , not only great exhibits but such a beautiful building with great views if you go to the top of the dome. An awesome gem area, and all information was in English so you weren't just viewing items you are actually understanding all about them. Great little cafe area too. All in all a great place to visit for all ages.
The architecture is amazing and the exhibitions are awesome. It is huge and has different types of exhibitions. Personally, I loved the geological part, which presents beautiful crystals. Also the Evolution themed part is interesting. Worth the visit for sure!!

Very ordinary place and it's normal I don't know why people consider it as landmark in Prague. In this place there is a bar in the rooftop. Lots of tourists come to take photos of this building. I hope they develop it for good looking with the time. Not recommended to visit if you just want to see it.

Fun, traditional Czech beer hall, with an accordian player to serenade your drinking. Beer is great, and they will also encourage you to have a shot of the local liqueur. :-)
The sculpture is very beautiful and when it moves you can make very good Timelapses but it is filled with many people and makes it difficult to appreciate the movement well. The head only moves for 15 minutes at the beginning of each hour
A must see for any beer enthusiast. This place is one of a kind, great service, atmosphere, food and obviously beer. If you're in Prague, make sure you don't miss this place.
This was an amazing experience for me. I loved everything I'm the museum and learnt alot.
Theo ly critic is that it's kinda small and it ends as soon as it starts. The staff is also very friendly and its quite affordable. I paid 240Ckr to get in as a student.
They have a lot of really interesting exhibits and displays. Their geological displays were incredible. You could spend a long time on that alone admiring the collection. You should definitely plan to spend several hours here. The tickets are very reasonably priced, and you can purchase them at the entrance.
The head looks good and is very big. Interesting rotations. It rotates for 15 min every hour. Fun to see once but not worth visiting more often.

We were disappointed. I think this place is more suitable for older children from 6 years old or teenagers, whose attractions will certainly amaze more than adults. Unfortunately, the individual stations did not interest us at all. After 15 minutes, we left disappointed with the feeling of a failed magic show. If you want to see really good exhibition and spend money more effectively, then visit National musem.

You will see most of Mucca's illustrations that he did for Sarah Bernhardt. His series of illustrations are also on display with detailed descriptions. There is also an AV that tells us about his life and how influential his work was to the people of Czech.
Well, um, if you don't have enough time in Prague, skip this ... place. Probably worth if you take your time to get up there. Just seeing it -no different than the pictures. Actually the pictures are quite better. The place is at a giant crossroad with tenths of cars and trucks at any moment, really bad surroundings and nothing special to see up close live. And at the same time it's quite a walk from the city center. So unless you have extra time....
This a perfect place if you want to enjoy a czech atmosphere. Good food and food beer. Prices are high. Alive music could compensate that.
Definitely a piece of art you shouldn't miss out on! The head moves for 15 minutes every hour. Get there 10 minutes early to get a better spot, because it does more than just rotate - it performs. And it's a great piece of engineering! The most futuristic piece of art I've seen in Europe. Yes it's fun to see it on a video, but live Is better!

Very interesting museum of Muchas work. Worth spending some time here. Many of the art works are very striking.
very fun and interesting museum with a lot to do, see and experience. plenty of photo opportunities as well as all around fascinating illusion exhibits
Well done modern museum but, hot damn, was that a lot of writing to read. Depending on your level of interest (and how much you want to read) you could spend 30 minutes or a couple hours walking around.

The day we went there were people there but it wasn't super busy, no need to buy a ticket in advance.

Interesting exhibition of the country from before WW2 right up to the fall of the communist block.
Really shows what people went through, the hardships, torture and just every day struggle under an oppressive regime.
The shame is that communism is intended to never let that happen, but humans will be humans.
Very enjoyable. Not cheap but not too expensive.
Jan Zajíc and Jan Palach both committed suicide in Prague in 1969 to protest the Russian invasion of this country.
Good to see this in public next to shopping area. Great place to eat all kind of food here and also see this roaring head. Kids loved this as well. Head turns in various formation every few mins.

We loved it, we consider it to be one of the best places to visit in Prague.
Although it's supposed to be destined to children we believe it's suited for everyone.
We enjoyed the variety of "senses", we took some great and fun photos and in the end we tried to solve the puzzles (without success).

Exhibition in old building was really interesting. The building was beautiful as well. I visited this place with my friend and we have spent about 2 hours walking. Exhibition in new building wasn’t actually interesting for us, but still worth to see. I can also recommend it for people who wants to find really good viewpoint (third floor)

Herrlich
und einzigartig....

Definitely worth a visit! Mucha was one of the best artists of the late nineteenth century, and the face of the art nouveau movement. This museum has a great collection of his works, with plenty of clear information signs!
Very informative, mostly about the politics of communism. I would have liked to see more about common life for Czech people during those times.

Located in the 2nd floor of Hameleys, this fun room can give you a really sweet experience. Recommended in winter since it's really hot and humid inside!
What an experience to go back in time and read the text and time line and how surprest the people where the CCCP (iron curtain) just had their way and crushed every day common family and put them to hard work 14-16 hours a day 6 days a week.its been a delight spending a long weekend in Prague amazing weather it was great to cool down inside the museum of communism it was well set out on several floors with a cafe and gift shop all with air conditioning I mustn't forget the little film show enough room for about 20 - 30 people. So if you're stuck for something to do if the weather looks dodgy like for us and not enough time to to much and you like history give it a go also the under ground is right there
This stylish Prague old pub becomes a touristic trap. It offers large garden - suitable for big groups. The style is similar to Munich Bavarian bierstube. They offer their own 13 degrees bier, which is not really good - it tastes like soap and it is overpriced. Also the service is not well - you have to wait for one waiter to order drinks, second one to order food and final you have to pay at bar.

It is a good place to check out and doesn't take a lot of time if you have a lot you want to see in Prague. The exhibits are designed well. You get a sense of the impacts that communism had on the lives of every day people. Children should see this museum to see that communism is horrible and a bad idea.

This was an amazing time for the kids and us as well. We had a great time and spent a little over an hour in there. The kids did not want to leave.
We were a group of American college students and two professors, and we had Pavel as a guide. It was fascinating to hear a first person perspective of living under communism in Prague. I loved him as a guide: he made our visit much more enlightening.
Absolutely stunning show of modern art, with Franz Karla’s head rotating in many different places and pieces every hour for 15 minutes, attracting many many tourists and providing the head a view in every direction. A must see for anyone even remotely interested in art, creativity, or a good time! And…it’s totally free to enjoy and film. A must do in Prague. One of the highlights after castles and amazing old town buildings.

I was mistaken. This place is a real shame.
I paid a high admission fee to enter the museum, but most of the exhibits were reproductions.
Moreover, the exhibits were in frosted glass, which made it difficult to appreciate them.
If they call themselves a museum, they should display their works in a proper way.
The first room had a good number of paintings, but once you go to the back room, the number of paintings decreases drastically.
I was like, what? That's all? I muttered to myself.
If there are so few works, it is much better to see the Mucha exhibition that is sometimes held in my country.
Mucha is my favorite artist, but I will never go here again.
It is better to buy a book and see it.

Not as busy as the Old Town Hall. You can take your time going up on your own and stop at different floors to see some art and some panels on the history of a Prague. There is a balcony that goes around at the very top of the tower with gorgeous views. Very much worth it for 60 CZK, if you can handle all the stairs.
During my recent visit to the Museum of Senses, I had an overall okay experience. It's important to note that this museum is primarily designed for children between the ages of 6 and 14, and it caters more towards their interests and enjoyment.

The museum offers a variety of interactive exhibits and sensory experiences, which can be quite engaging for kids. However, it's worth mentioning that there were a lot of children present during my visit, which created a bustling and energetic atmosphere. If you're looking for a calm and quiet experience, this might not be the ideal place for you or for families with infants.

While the museum provides a range of exhibits aimed at engaging the senses, I found that some of the attractions were not as engaging for adults. The interactive elements and illusions might not hold the same level of fascination for older visitors. That being said, if you are accompanying children within the suggested age range, they are likely to have a great time exploring the exhibits and participating in the interactive activities.

As an adult visitor or someone with a baby, it's important to set your expectations accordingly. The museum's focus on catering to younger audiences means that it may not provide the same level of enjoyment or engagement for individuals outside the recommended age range. If you're considering a visit, it would be best to plan accordingly and ensure that the museum aligns with the interests and age group of the individuals in your party.

A Disappointing Stay at the Dancing House Hotel

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Dancing House Hotel, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. While the hotel had its aesthetic appeal, there were several functional aspects that fell short of expectations.

First, the air conditioning system was a major letdown. The air conditioning in my room simply failed to cool it adequately. The room remained uncomfortably hot throughout my stay, making it difficult to relax or get a good night's sleep. It's disappointing when an essential feature like air conditioning fails to provide the comfort after a long day of sightseeing in Prague.

On a positive note, the breakfast at the Dancing House Hotel was indeed a highlight. There was a variety of eggs, fruits, meats and vegetables as well as yogurt and pastries. The quality of the food was excellent which is why I cannot give a one star rating . I would rate the breakfast and the breakfast staff five stars.

Regrettably, the issues with functionality continued beyond the air conditioning. Despite the visually pleasing design of the rooms, the practicality was severely lacking. The shower in particular was a nuisance, as using it inevitably resulted in a wet bathroom floor. The shower door had ripped seals and failed to serve its purpose. In the room there was a large sliding glass mirror/door hiding either the bar and refrigerator or your closet depending on which way it was moved. It had no buffer to prevent it from slamming into the walls when opening and was often in the way of the doors and drawers when opening them. This inconvenience could have been easily avoided with better planning and design. The various flaws proved the hotel was built with a priority of form over functionality.

While the Dancing House Hotel may boast attractive aesthetics and a superb breakfast, the flaws in functionality cannot be overlooked. The lack of effective air conditioning and the impractically of many design choices hindered my ability to enjoy my stay. If these issues were addressed, the hotel could have the potential to offer a much more satisfying experience to its guests.

The artwork here was beautiful. A friend recommended that I go while we were in Prague and I'm glad I did. The museum shop has poster prints, postcards, buttons etc of the artwork for reasonable prices as well.
It's located in the former malt house. Great decor with ancient brewing machines, instruments and drinking vessels 👍😉 U Fleků is an impressive complex, and is the largest restaurant in the Czech Republic 🍻🥩
Very good service, good menu 😉👍🍜👏 Food was very good quality all around. Prices were reasonable 🍽💰💸

The most amazing artwork I have witnessed in a while. Mucha was a Czech artist in the Regency and Victorian Era. I have one of his rarest pieces tattooed on my arm that I didn’t see in the museum but I love so much. The museum itself was such a peaceful place to be and I enjoyed ever second of it:)). The people who work at this museum were so kind and helpful. I come to Praha often and I definitely want to come back!

This place is amazing! You get to look at butterflies up close for as long as you like, walk around (carefully so you don’t step on them!) and it makes you feel awesome. Sometimes they even land on you! Very reasonably priced and with cute souvenirs.
The beer here is not extraordinary.

You can get better beer at any other brewery in the Czech Republic.

The service is slow, and they still ask for a tip at the end. It's a typical tourist trap.

I visited the "Invisible exhibition". Highly recommended. The guide was super friendly and helpful. It was brand new experience for me to be in such a dark space. I really enjoyed. It shows the daily life of the people with sight problems, You will not know until You try... No pics taken :D
Easy to find although tucked off the main drag. A visual wonder and sculptural marvel! The head moves for 15 minutes every hour starting at the top of the hour. It was fun to see kids and adults alike watching in delight and amazement.

Awesome place… Loads of different butterfly’s in a great environment. Unfortunately, there could be better management. The butterflies welfare should always be a priority over profit. When I visited, the butterfly house seemed to be short staffed, and due to the primary demographic of the attraction being (mostly) young children, I did witness a small child stomp and (accidentally) kill a butterfly. (Unfortunately parents cannot be trusted as they are also distracted by the butterflies… who can blame them🦋🙃). I doubt this is an infrequent occurrence. Perhaps, if there was a staff member in the house it would happen less. These are living creatures after all😁🦋 If you like butterflies I definitely recommend visiting.
Overall very educational facility that teaches about communism from a Czech perspective. There is also some brief information about WWII as well. However, I felt like there were not enough physical objects from the Soviet era and most of the exhibits were just text on a wall about information I could have found online…
Interesting for the first 5 min. It is just a spinning head. Don't expect there will be music along with the spinning because it will be great if it has. Anyway, it is a great experience and great piece of art. Salute to the maker. 👍
Very nice experience. The head moves in different directions creating a lot of different perceptions. The place was not so full, so it was perfect to observe. You can spent several minutes enjoying many different motions.

The museum was actually quite nice!
There were many attractions to do yourself, exciting to experience something like that.
Nevertheless, the stay was a bit exhausting because other visitors have behaved very disruptive and shouting around continuously.
It was nice to have been there but it was not particularly enriching, is rather something to have fun.

Very nice place in a big toys shop! You can spend lots of time watching butterflies, they will come on your clothes ! Insane place for kids too!
Moreover, a very nice lady who zas speaking several languages welcomed us and explained everything :)
The price is about 5€/persons but it worth it!
Below the statue you can see a memorial devoted to Jan Palace and Jan Zajic, victims of communism, who martyred themselves in 1969 in protest of soviet invasion

Lovely building (with a "hospoda" or whatever in the courtyard). Especially nice when there is a concert in the main hall upstairs. Nice Hall (nice architecture & good acoustics). Twice a year (in the Spring and during the Fall), in the courtyard and in the hall on the ground floor there's a one-day long "fine food festival". The wines and cannoli from Sicily are especially nice.
Beautiful place, would recommend to visit if you are in the area.
There is also a small café where you can buy a coffee and enjoy the view.

It was a solemn pilgrimage for me to visit the Jan Palach and Jan Zajic memorials in Prague's famous Wenceslas Square, particularly a flame warped bronze cross embedded in the cobblestones symbolically marking the tragic act of self immolation. Hauntingly that single event in 1969 followed by other protest actions against the oppressive effects of foreign totalitarian occupation resonates powerfully down through time to the present day. Indeed yet another malovelent regeme from that part of Europe which originally compromised Czech freedom, now attempts to enslave the independent sovereign nation of Ukraine!

The place of the First Defenestration of Prague

A large and imposing tower looming over the New Town Hall. The hall itself is mostly closed to the public except on certain occasions, but one can climb the tower and see great views over the city. The current building itself is slightly later than the Hussite era, but at the beginning of the Hussite era, the first of the defenestrations took place at this site, making it a pivotal point in the history of the Czech lands and all of Central Europe.

Quiet place, near the city centre. Worth of seeing.
Kostel, kaple i konvent, včetně nemocniční budovy, byl v roce 1949 minulým režimem alžbětinkám zabaven. Svůj majetek dostaly zpět až v roce 1991.

The High Baroque monastery complex according to the project of Kilian Ignác Dientzenhofer was built in the place where a house surrounded by a vineyard is documented already in the 14th century. From 1681 a home for emeritus priests with a chapel stood here, which was relocated in 1705 and the abandoned place was occupied by nursing Order Elizabeth. In 1725 the church was consecrated, the convent was built between 1726 - 1732, in 1762 a chapel of St. Tekla, designed by Josef Ignác Juschka, was added to the left of the facade. The church is characterized by a 31.5 meter high bell tower over a massive façade with a decorative casula window and a double-winged staircase. In the middle of the shield there is a niche with a statue of the Virgin Mary of Seven Sorrows. The church, the chapel and the convent, including the hospital building, were confiscated by communist regime in 1949. The order have not receive their property back until 1991.

Nice and sensitive maintained historical place. Bit hidden but keep genius loci of Praha. Check the wall paintings.

Unfortunately the monastery suffered a lot of damage during the war, with sections having been almost completely rebuilt. A lot of the frescos are in very poor condition - but a fair bit of effort has been put into the informational signs (in both Czech and English) to make it easier to see what they would have shown and which parts are still visible.

The monastery is quite small, so don't expect to spend a huge amount of time unless you're particularly interested in the religious significance of the damaged paintings. The information about the past appearance of the monastery and it's rebuilding was interesting. There was also a small temporary art exhibition in a side room which was quite good and probably the best part of the visit.

Sadly what put a dampener on the place was the man working the front desk. He was really quite rude on arrival, and as we were leaving later he was playing a video on his phone quite loudly in the lobby!
This memorial on Wenceslas Square is a memorial to Jan Palach and Jan Zajíc, two students who protested against the then communist government. The memorial features I think polished granite granite, engraved with portraits of the two. Around the memorial are flowers and tributes.

A nice tribute in a prominent location. The memorial is simple, but plus one for the sentiments.

The construction of the New Town Hall began shortly after the founding of Prague’s New Town in 1348. 1456 saw the completion of the Town Hall’s tower. The tower is 42 meters high, 221 steps lead up to the tower gallery. It is opened daily except Mondays, from 10 am to 6 pm. It’s also closed during winter season. It’s not very popular among tourists and not as crowded as for example the Orloj tower, but you still get to enjoy the beautiful views at Prague.
One of the most historic places to visit in Prague, especially for Christians and Catholics experiencing Latin Mass in this Benedictine abbey Emperors Chapel. Highly recommended.
Chtělo by to udržovat pořádek i z venčí, pokud nechcete kolemjdoucí odrazovat k návštěvě...

This was the best 60ckr I spent in Prague. Just the cloister was a magnificent place covered in paintings made hundreds of years ago. And then the various chapels and the repaired and renovated church were equally breathtaking. This place is so quiet too, slightly away from the main tourist centres. Well worth a visit if, like me, you're impressed by ecclesiastical architecture. 🇨🇿😀⛪
