Amazing little restaurant near times Square. Delicious recipes, do not miss out on the vegetable dumplings! Incredible!
The only thing I dislike about this place is portion size. The dishes are significantly smaller than other nearby Thai restaurants with the same price point. The flavor is great, very strong seafood umami. Think of fish sauce and shrimp sauce. They use actual Thai chillies and eggplant. Very unique decoration. Seating is cramped.
Wok basil is super duper good. Savory, with the aroma of green and red pepper, it goes well with rice. Crab fried rice is also amazing. Also a warning to those who haven’t tried Pad Thai before: they got authentic Pad Thai and it is VERY sweet, so don’t order it unless you like sweetness

Fun, nice decor and friendly staff. Strong, authentic Thai food flavors. Not your American Thai cuisine, which was good but tough for my younger daughter. Highly recommend for authentic Thai cuisine eaters.

The food was yummy! Love the dry duck noodles and the Pad See ew beef. The staff was super friendly. Their spring rolls are yummy too. Only downside is they are jammed packed. The tables are very small. Everything else was great! Also clean bathroom!
They just changed their name (don’t recall the new name) and the food appears to have changed with it. Higher prices, less lunch special options, and my Basel fried rice was burned. Not a great experience.
Good little Thai place. Papaya salad was great though a bit spicy. Veggie and tofu entree tasted good but could be more flavorful. Sake was presented well. Due to unavailability of mango, they served sticky rice dessert with pumpkin, which did not work and was just too sweet. Tea tasted okay. Ambience was nice but the tables are too close to each other. Overall, an okay-okay place.
I was there yesterday and I love it. Staff were incredibly friendly and nice. Atmosphere was welcoming, although they about to have renovation, so it might be messy for a little or they might be closed, not sure.
We took Tom Yum and Hawaiian fried rice. It was delicious! Prices are fair, especially for such location.
I used to go to another place, right across the street, but it was shut down a while ago, so I was happy to find another great place at the same location.

It was one of the best dining experience I ever had. The service was impeccable and the staff were so attentive to everyone. I really enjoyed the food and bottomless brunch. Will definitely be back!
I had the massaman curry. It was good, but the chicken was dry (which was understandable since it wasn’t braised/cooked in the curry). But for the level of customization you get, the trade off was worth it. Overall, good experience for the price
Was looking for a place for dinner with the wife and stumbled upon this gem. We were visiting from MD and love trying new places when we get the chance. Absolutely love the good and the service! Even though we came a little late they were still very welcoming and full of smiles. The sushi was second to none and wish we had more time to come back and try more of their menu. Prices are not too high but not cheap but with the quality the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend!
A wild ride of flavor. Came here on New Years Eve and sat at the counter. Was nice to see the chefs at work while enjoying our meal. Our server Matthew gave us great advice on how to order along with great service. The Ibon in the rocks cocktail is quite possibly the best tequila & mezcal cocktail I’ve had. We where two people and ordered 3 small plates, a large plate and two sides. This was the perfect amount of food for the both of us. Everything we ate was amazing but the Hainanese Duck was the star of the show. The duck was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The rice base was a great complement and change of pace from the coco rice. I also suggest getting the brussel sprouts. They have such a unique flavor to them, akin to a sour cream and onion chip. Hats off to the staff and the chefs for a wonderful experience.
Came here with 2 of my girlfriends on a Wednesday evening and it was fantastic!! We hadn't made a reservation but we were still seated and greeted so kindly by the staff. We were seated in a cozy section of the restaurant and loved how intimate it felt in there. Our server was the sweetest!! We asked for a few things like extra plates and utensils, an extra straw caused we dropped one, and she was kind and patient with us. We ordered the pad Thai, drunken noodles, basil fried rice, chicken & cashew dish, Thai iced tea, and the sweet chili wings and everything was DELICIOUS!! Authentic, fresh, delicious- what else could you ask for? Oh wait....they played some really really nice music too!!! And I realized we were the only patrons by the time we were leaving, but they kept the sweet ambiance just for us!! THANK YOU Lucious Thai, and Happy New Year!! I highly recommend this location, 10/10!!
One of our favorite spots in the area. Food is excellent for the price that you pay -- it's hard to find a meal in Manhattan for under $15 these days. I always leave this place full, happy, and astounded at the value. Place is usually not very busy, and the ambiance inside is cozy and intimate. The same server has been working each time we've gone there, and we have gotten excellent service each time. Very accommodating for allergies. Someone in our party had a shellfish allergy, and the server made sure to double check that her dish was shellfish-free. Pad see eiw is a must, and they even have a section of thai street food favorites -- we get the fried egg omelet over rice every single time and it never misses.

Super delicious spot!
Had the Sizzling Sisig, Khao Soi noodles, and the baby back ribs.
The Sisig had great texture with the crispy bits of skin and the chew of rendered fat. It diminishes a bit when it cools down, so highly recommended to finish that off first.
The Khao Soi noods had excellent flavor and the baby back ribs had this great tangy flavor that I think was from lime and fish sauce. If you're looking for a different style of ribs than southern style baby back ribs, these are really good!
Service was very friendly and I will definitely come back!

To start the food was absolutely amazing i had drunken noodles and red spice curry rice with chicken and i’ve never tasted anything so well seasoned and cooked before. I loved the atmosphere very warm and welcoming and the mood is set for a nice night out with your friends. The service was beyond good very friendly and very nice the food was made in a timely manner.
Good food (sushi). Solid atmosphere. The service started out a little rushed. But I made things good between staff and my wife. There were four of us. Prices were more than reasonable. Had NY cheesecake for desert. Japanese beer was great.
Very good food and the staff accommodated my last minute changes for adding people. We had 6 and 2 more came and they were able to quickly find tables in the back and fit us all in.

This was my first time at this restaurant. It truly was an amazing dining experience. The food truly has amazing flavors. The drinks also aim to please. I'd highly recommend this spot.

Cannot recommend this place enough- I LOVE Thai food and they have one of the most authentic flavors in NYC, the best in UES. Food delivery has always been smooth when I order from their website. My favorites are their pork skewers, curry puffs, crab fried rice, pad thai, pork laab, papaya salad, fried chicken, pork moo dang, iced tea, sticky rice! Everything is good can’t wait to try the whole menu.
Another thing that sets them apart is their service! I asked them if I can spend my birthday there and everyone is amazing, their service is top notch. They go beyond what is asked and they really enjoy helping. They ordered quality balloons without me asking them and decorated the whole place to make it look more festive. Had the Pad Thai from here and I must say I haven’t tasted something this authentic in a long time. I love it and would most definitely comeback!
This is my first time trying Sri Lankan food. This place is awesome. The food is very good and flavorful.
The place is small but cute. We sat at the counter which faces the kitchen and it was fun to see all the action. The pork belly appetizer was phenomenal, the pork belly was so crispy and the sauce was flavorful. Khao soi was delicious, the curry was spicy and had such depth of flavor but I thought there was too much of the crunchy noodle and not enough of the cooked noodles. The steak was my least favorite, it had a really nice salt and pepper crust but some pieces had something like cartilage that was unpleasant to eat. The service was great!
Great Thai food spot! Be mindful of the spice level because when they say spicy they mean spicy! We love that they use organic ingredients. The food is not overly oily and has great flavor!
While the sushi and service were impeccable, the ambiance, with its subdued lighting, didn't quite align with my personal preferences as it felt a tad too dim for my liking.
Overall a pleasant lunchtime experience for about $15 before tax and tip, and just water to drink (a lemon wedge included, a nice touch!)There was a $1 upcharge for brown rice. The salmon bento box came with a small salad with a thin, watery flavorless dressing, and an equally plain miso soup. Neither was bad, just not tasty. The California roll and dumplings were good, as was the salmon, and 3 fresh broccoli florets. The dining room is large and dark, with ample spacing between tables. My window seat had sufficient light despite the scaffolding outside. Overall, you can't go wrong for the money. Service was very pleasant and efficient. I would definitely consider eating here again for cheap eats. I hope they step up their salad dressing and miso soup game just a bit. But then again, restaurants are definitely struggling in this economy and cut corners wherever they can. Try it for lunch. You really can't go wrong!
We ordered pickup here and loved everything. Nice woman working there and really happy everything tasted healthy. I wanted something tasty but not dripping with oil and this was flavorful but from fresh product and spices not from oil. Thanks!

The food is good. They serve a great homemade Thai tea. I tried the meat pad see ew, and it was pretty decent. My issue with Thai food is that it is always sweet, even when I think it isn't supposed to be. Like, they break the sweetness rule whereas if you are doing a dish with pasta and meat that is sweet, you should at least balance it out with the sourness of a citric taste... The men's bathroom needs some maintenance.
A lunchtime gem in midtown. Their rice bowls are great for lunch to go- great portion and tasty food. Much better offering than other lunch specials but same price (12-15 dollars). It includes salad, spring roll, and egg which rounds it all out beautifully. New staple for me.
I love this place and would go at least weekly when I lived around the corner! It’s $10 for a great banh mi and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my order. The owner is also really nice! The #2 spicy is my favorite, but all the sandwiches there are great. Cash only, but they have an ATM inside and there’s also a Chase Bank right around the corner.
If I could give 6 stars I would! Food is delicious! The staff is extremely nice CLEAN place with delicious eats!!! Will continue to visit with every New York trip we take. I came to New York just to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint! DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS

The fish cutlets were good but had a lot of potato inside. The crab curry was delicious. They give you all the tools to extract meat from the crabs. The Poli Roti was good the Onion Sambol was delicious.
The food is on the spicy side. But they modify the spice level, so order accordingly.
The seating is tight and it is a cash only restaurant.

Cute little restaurant. It was my first time having food from the beautiful country of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. My curry chicken was very similar to Indian food, of course. Service was great the food was ok. I need to try more things cause the curry was just ok. Would I come again? Yes.

Overall the food was solid, but I think some of the dishes, like the Kare Kare and Cauliflower, were overpriced.

Lunch takeout took less than 10 minutes to be ready. Among the appetizers, the shrimp fritters are my favorite. The Pad Thai, which I’ve ordered multiple times, is consistently good. The pork in the Japanese eggplant holy basil could be more tender.

Friendly and gracious staff offering great service. We had the papaya salad with salted egg which was an explosion of taste. The chicken feet soup was very good but a tad too salty. Lunch came with crispy tofu and chicken larb. The chicken was tough but the crispy tofu was fried nicely.

I showed up 30 minutes earlier because I thought I can sit at the bar and having a cocktail while waiting for 6:45 and reservation and my husband.

Wow..what an amazing little place with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The food was hot and spicy and full of flavour. Don't forget to try Kotthu Paratha, the pork curry and string hoppers.
Our favorite takeout Thai spot. Never eaten at the restaurant but their delivery is excellent. Food is packed well, delivered quickly and always hot and fresh. Don’t skip out on dessert. Their hummingbird cake is to die for.
The service was amazing here! Ordered the Drunk Man spicy noodles & they were way too spicy, but they took it back and gave me the Pad Se Ew instead. I would highly recommend asking to make the dishes less spicy based on your preference.

Visiting NYC. Delicious Thai and no waiting. Quick service with hot food on the go. Ready to eat in a restaurant or for take out. Walking distance to the Sonesta hotel - one block down. Will return for more.

Busy on a Friday night but not impossible to get a seat. Very friendly waitstaff, BYOB, awesome Sri Lankan food. The original things we planned to order weren’t available so our waitress made great suggestions for other famous dishes of theirs. Will be back!
Visited this past weekend twice and this place did not disappoint! I love Thai food and have eaten the real deal in Thailand. This is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants I’ve been to. The spice level and flavors really hit the spot. When the server brought out the 4 mini side chili powder and sauces, I was in heaven. 😍 The chef special papaya salad was phenomenal! Everything was delicious. Only minor negative was no meatballs in the noodle soups. Otherwise loved this place!
The owner is very polite. Our Banh Mi came fast and was really juicy and fresh. We had the chicken curry (10.75$). My husband loves those sandwiches and was super happy with it.

Phenomenal experience at this hole in the wall Sri Lankan restaurant. Friendly staff though seating is a bit tight. Food was delicious and all for a fair price. Chicken curry and crab fried rice were my favorite.
Cash only and slightly on the more expensive side, but they do a pretty good job of making things spicy if you ask for it, and it was really good. Only warning is that it's certainly a slower restaurant that cooks with love. You won't be in and out fast.

This is a go-to, no-fuss place for flavorful Northern Thai dishes. The Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) is actually spicy, not pseudo-spicy as in other Thai restaurants. The Chinese broccoli was crisp and fresh, though the $5 up-charge for crispy pork belly is a bit much. Less successful was the Kanom Jeeb (fried pork and shrimp dumplings) which seemed a tad oily.
Terrible delivery, food was SLAMMED against the door and doorbell was rung 10+ times. Chicken is also raw and smells terrible. Grubhub reviews definitely hacked.
I had the chicken stay rice express meal at Tam Sang today. I have been eyeing this spot for a while and only regret not trying this out earlier. The food was mouth watering. The service was beyond amazing. Kudos to the whole team. Definitely coming back for more and bringing all my friends here.
My spicy chicken fried rice (1) wasn't spicy (2) didn't contain chicken and (3) wasn't fried. Delivery driver was extremely rude.
A great authentic Thai restaurant in UES's restautrant row. Chef from Michelin kitchens bring you this great taste. The skewer were tender and juicy. Shrimp cervice with spicy salad a very interesting dish, along with the papaya salad. The crispy duck and khao soi really hit the spot. Mango sticky rice ended the meal in a sweet note. It's a small spot, but definitely worth a visit.
Tofu pad Thai was very saucy with strange flavor. No peanuts. Tofu was spongy. Not like any pad Thai I’ve had before, in a bad way. I’ve never had pad Thai with celery, mushrooms and green beans. Very disappointing.

My go to for Banh Mi… I have tried 5 of the different selections but my go to is the House Special #1 Spicy! Trust me it’s delicious. Well worth your time and trust me everything is super fresh. SHOP LOCAL! HELP SUPPORT!
Sandwich (not Sandstone) is fresh and tasty, great price, great service. I highly recommend. Plus, he took the time to help an elderly customer safely down the stair leaving the shop.
This was go-to banh mi place before covid and finally got another one. So happy they’re still here.
The veggie sandwiches are great offerings, however the old one with tofu and lemongrass was the best. Unfortunately no longer made here because it lemongrass goes bad too fast and not enough orders. So we tried the vegan chicken and it was delicious. It’s not the same taste as an original banh mi but very tasty and we enjoyed it a lot.
Prices went up as they have everywhere but don’t worry, it’s still the same big size which is a good value in this city.
There is little seating outside and counter inside but mostly I take to-go.

I ordered food from here. Not only did they get my order wrong, it was also the worst pad thai I have ever eaten. It was flavorless and a weird pink color.
Excellent flavor and quality. Staff is super nice. This is my first visit! Highly recommend trying the vegan banh mi this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, hands down. Perfect balance of flavor, spice and crunch from the golden brown toasted bread that compounds the experience and adds to the flavor. Ordering a second one right away.
Had an early dinner with my niece who was just visiting from Canada and she loved everything we ordered ( So do i 🥰 ) the papaya salad and the sweet rice with coconut for dessert were my favorite, it’s phenomenal. Reasonable price for a such delicious dishes. Will definitely come back and recommend 👍👍👍
Great food at good price. I ordered Massaman curry with seafood mix and jasmine tea. The curry was rich and flavorful. I didn’t enjoy getting shell pieces between my teeth a few times, but the food itself was delicious. I also loved the interior, cozy with lovely fresco at the back and beautiful tiles. The staff were very nice.
Happy they were able to accomodate a vegan food allergy. Ordered (vegan) fried rice with tofu and veggies as well as fresh spring rolls. The rice was a healthy portion size and the spring rolls were amazing. I would definitely come back for these items.

If I could have this every day, I would! My friend and I came in for dinner when I moved to the UES 6 months ago, and it was so good I had to come back to review. We ordered the Crispy Spring Rolls to share, and I ordered the Kow Soi Gai dish for main ($30 with tip). It was so delicious and I took leftovers home so made 2 meals of it! The service was also so incredibly kind and welcoming, made us feel super comfortable and were super attentive. Thank you!

got pad kee mao (drunken noodles) and sizzling beef. it was incredible, waitstaff was super kind and attentive, and portions are generous! also got a thai long island iced tea + a lemongrass cosmo… delicious! +the calamari spice - enjoyed it so quickly we didn’t even get a pic!
Best green curry I’ve ever had! It was creamy and smooth, and the squid was perfectly soft. The Thai iced tea was delicious as well.
I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. When I walked in to pick up my order, I was shocked it was a restaurant. It looks like someone’s back room storage area. People are are working with food in unsanitary areas. Chairs and storage and boxes and personal items are literally stacked all around and on the “bar.” If the front part of the place looks like that I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. But I gave it a chance. And I got food poisoning. Don’t eat here.
Food is absolute garbage. Got roped in on a Seamless Deal. I don't believe their 5 star Seamless rating is real. Almost zero meat in all portions and super dry. Like it was made a year ago and reheated.
Picked up the food by myself. This place is extremely sketchy. Feels like they prepare the food from sewage.
We got pad Thai and drunken noodle delivered. It was disgusting and inedible. Not a single person ate it. The pad Thai was pink and smelled like wet dog!
