I was warned about this place, but I still wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt by at least viewing the units and speaking with someone in management. However, goes to show they're extremely disorganized and do not care about you at all. I was on the phone with the office and they scheduled me a viewing, I got an email and calendar confirmation. But when I showed up nobody was there. I called, messaged, email, and left voicemails.. nothing. Completely ghosted. Extremely unprofessional, but glad I got to waste my time before I ended up putting money down.

Such a great experience living here! Such a clean place and so close to all the best restaurants and coffee shops. Thank you to Julia, Mikaela and Alexys for organizing such fun events! Will miss living here!

A lot of naibors noise and they smoke on the balcony hall dirty .

Will try and charge you even after you leave. People make a bunch of noise here and management doesn't do anything about it. They take forever to fix things in your apartment and the halls are always dirty. Now they are raising rent. Glad I got out when I did!

Cathy Consulo and Janea Robert have done everything they could to make my move and experience at hudson pointe amazing. They are super professional and timely with requests, and make sure to go the extra mile on everything. I would highly recommend living here.

I’ve been living at the news for almost two years now and I love it. The apartment staff is always friendly and helpful and the facilities are clean and beautiful. I highly recommend anyone to live here! Plus it’s dog friendly so loves of really cute dogs to say hi too! My pup always love the free dog treats in the lobby and I’m so thankful for the pet bath!

General consensus among all the residents is that we can’t wait for our lease to be up. I would go into more detail but it seems that bad reviews are scrubbed. Check Yelp for more detail

Did not have a great experience leasing here. I would go into details but it seems like they censor bad reviews.

Truly a great living experience. I stayed here for my final year at RPI as a masters student and Julia on the management team provided all the flexibility and accommodations I needed. The leasing team in general are some of the most professional and respectful I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The building is amazingly located and the room was extremely well kept and outfitted. The all-in-living and included 100/100 internet plan made handling utilities a non-existent burden. Though on the upper end of the rent spectrum, especially for Troy, if you are looking for a higher-end place to stay this is definitely one to consider.

Unsafe living conditions.
Due to a faulty system the tenants of this building are subjected to noise torture at all hours of the night (currently over an hour as I write this at 4:45am) with a piercing and deafening alarm for hours at a time. Happening so often to cause the tenants to take refuge in their bathrooms to lessen the painful effects. Rather than fleeing Making the same system meant to save lives in the event of an actual emergency futile. Not only is this unbearable for the tenants but also a nuisance to the Troy Fire department and city of Troy. With a fire chief referring to the tapestry as a public safety hazard as it pulls their crew so often from actual emergencies due to a faulty system. Seeing as the property was largely built using grants from public money this seems like public issue.
When asked management says it works as it’s supposed to but can never provide reason for its constant happening. This is just one of countless issues of this property and I will be sure to update here when I can hear myself think again

Fix your fire alarm system before I find where you live and honk outside your bedroom window from 3am to 7am.

Be prepared to get absolutely no sleep. Your neighbors in the brick building are inconsiderate garbage and will blast music endlessly. Your apartment will literally vibrate and pound from how loud they play it. Don’t waste your time here seriously.
Update 12/31/22 those same garbage neighbors next door to me are absolutely BLASTING music again. My walls in my apartment are shaking from their speaker. I can’t get out of this lease fast enough. Hudson point is full of trash, scumbag tenants. DO NOT LIVE HERE !!!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP PEACEFULLY.

My grandmother has been in this building for years. We can’t wait to get her out of the there. It’s always so dirty in the hall. Management doesn’t seem to care about much other than getting the rent. Wouldn’t recommend you move there. Rising rent prices. It’s definitely not worth it.

Horrible horrible management the elevator has been broke for over a month! I have a disabled sister that has been trapped in her apartment for a month because the elevators are broke down when I called to ask why the elevator is not working management stated they were waiting for a part to be delivered now they are saying that they have the part but no one to install it! This God awful place needs to be investigated!

Elevators are broken for extremely too long, we have disabled tenants in the building!.rodents now live and thrive in this entire building creating a very unsanitary location.. staircase is very unstable and the broken windows make a very scary place to live in. I'm tweeting..and calling the major

I signed a lease and was informed 2 weeks before moving in that I could not move in. The previous tenants decided they didn't want to leave. Despite the fact that I had a lease and the old tenants did not, the apartment complex did NOTHING to help me out. They didn't offer me another apartment or attempt to evict the tenants. They left me hanging and broke our contract with only 2 weeks notice. I'm honestly glad I don't live there because if that is how they manage their property, than I'm better off somewhere else. I'm so utterly unimpressed.

I lived in the News for one year and had a great experience! Julia was a great property manager and maintenance were excellent. I lived in the “old” side of the building and never had any noise issues through the walls. My only complaint was a persistent weed smell at night coming from the apartment below me. Julia did her best to rectify the situation however it was only fixed once the tenants moved out. The building amenities were well kept and everyone in the building is very nice. I highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I moved to the news at 501 Broadway last Spring. Our experience living here has been phenomenal. The maintenance staff are attentive and friendly. The property manager, Julia, is extremely courteous and welcoming. The quality of the apartments is second to none. There’s plenty of light and the balcony is spacious. We easily fit a hammock and some potted plants and flowers on it. 10/10 would recommend.

I moved in Towers on the Hudson in April 2021, and let me tell you one thing it was a Great choice! When I moved in Christa was the property manager and let me say this she was Awesome! She helped me and my mom so much, and I am grateful for her! Towers on the Hudson is a beautiful place to live, if you are moving in alone or with your family you can't go wrong. They keep the grounds clean, well maintained and the apartments are very spacious, with breath taking views, a gym, laundry area, elevators, ample parking, friendly neighbors and the staff Sarah and Andy are Great (keep up the good work). If you are looking for a Wonderful, Safe place to live Stop Looking and come to Towers on the Hudson!

Lived at the News for two years and absolutely loved it! The apartments are beautiful and modern designed with huge windows, the rooftop firepit and grill area was always a favorite spot when I had guests visiting, and having off-street parking was a huge plus for me. You also can't beat the location, walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops and events that downtown Troy has to offer! I didn't have a single issue with my apartment while living here and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to move into Troy.

I just moved in a couple months ago and management are nice people. Julia is my go to person for any issue that may arise and maintenance are all efficient and the nicest people you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. I will admit there is some slight amount of noise that can be heard throughout the day, but the residents here are very courteous and as a whole do not have loud parties or anything of that nature. The units are all beautiful and I plan on extending my lease if I am allowed to by my current University. The surrounding area is as safe as you can get in Downtown Troy and you're always a short walk away from some amazing food options if you're ever feeling like ordering in. I believe the positives vastly outweigh any negatives people in the past have posted, although I find some of their comments hard to believe about management as a whole since I personally have not had any issues and other residents I've talked to all give maintenance and management glowing reviews on their work.

We have lived in The News since it opened two and a half years ago and love it. After 28 years living in suburban houses, we wanted to live in an urban, walking neighborhood. The location is incredible, in walking distance of restaurants, shops, the Troy Farmers’ Market, local theater, the Arts Center, the Hudson River, and RPI. The building is a beautiful combination of the restored historic section and modern new construction. The building is very well maintained.
Our apartment is also beautiful with large windows and an incredible amount of natural light. We have had no issues with the apartment. The building staff is very friendly and always helpful. Occasional maintenance needs have been minor and quickly dealt with. We also love having indoor parking.
If you live in the Capital Region and want to live in a walkable neighborhood, then downtown Troy is one of very few choices, and we are extremely happy with The News in downtown Troy.

I don't live here but I have been visiting for years. I must tell the public that there is a bed bug infestation. You can see them in hallways, elevator and light fixtures. This is the worse case I've seen. Please let others know. Thank you

I looked at multiple apartments for my son who attends RPI. Christa at this building was the most responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. Due to Covid, I had to change the lease terms multiple times and she was helpful every time I had to make a change. She even reached out to the old tenant on my behalf about buying his A/C unit. I ordered a modem before we moved in and it was already placed in the apartment when we arrived. The apartment was freshly painted and clean. If you are not sure which building to rent from, look no further than Towers on the Hudson. Every rental company needs to take a lesson on how Christa manages inquiries and rental processes.

I have found that when a problem has arose it was dealt with in a timely manner.

I have been residing at Hudson arthaus since 2016 it was a beautiful ecperience. My apartment in apt.201 that I shared along with my niece marion pass was very nice the first manager we had kept the building up but as thr years went by . The building fell apart since Yazmine our new manager along with our two new maintanance workers the building is getting back to the way it originally was . The apartments are very nice and they come equipped with rhe basic thing you need like washer and dryer , diswasher ect. I am very happy with the improvment that has taken place iat Hudson arthaus now I would like to thank our new manager for the wonderful work she is doing If anyone is considering moving in you wont be disapointed I have lived here for 4 years now and I have never been happyer .

Tapestry on the Hudson apartments are a very secure and safe place to live. The appartments are absolutely beautiful.

When I moved into this apartment everything seemed great. I quickly realized the management consists of human trash that only want to siphon as much money out of their tenants as possible.
During the summer, I had an internship that required me to be away for a month at a time for two months. After the first month, there was an ant infestation. I called maintenance to take care of it. It was regarded as not as an emergency and they would take care of it, when they got to it. I came back after my internship had ended. There were ants everywhere and they had done absolutely nothing. They handled every maintenance request in this manner or worse. (I had a leaking issue which was also never even handled because it was not an "emergency".)
At the beginning I was given a contact number, which I was told I would receive communication from the apartment management and which I could call/text for any questions. As this was my first time renting an apartment, I had a lot of questions. For the first few days, they were responsive. After that, they provided absolutely nothing.
When it was ~48 days to move out time, I quickly learned about their two month notification policy the hard way. I had asked the person who introduced me to he apartments what I had to do when I wanted to move out, and she simply told me just let us know. When I drove to the apartment management office, I asked them if they needed any signed documents or any notice that I wanted to move out. They told me no.
Upon a week of moving out, I was given a call by a random number that I have never seen before telling me I needed to bring them a written notice and they were going to charge me two months extra rent. I told them that was ridiculous, but eventually realized there was no point fighting it. They had contacted me many times through a number, which my phone thought was spam and which I thought was spam, because it did not even show on google or any website as their number. They also claimed to have emailed me many times. I got one email from them when I moved in and that was it. I checked my spam and trash inboxes just to confirm.
The lady who gave me all this information and showed me apartments is clearly an incompetent scumbag liar. Furthermore, the apartment management did nothing to rectify any part of this situation. No one should look to them for apartments and should stay far away from these terrible people.

Towers On The Hudson is a great apartment complex. Christa is an amazing person to work with. She is very friendly, and she is helpful from start of our stay to the end. The maintenance team is always ready to assist with any of our needs. They too were awesome to get to know. They always took care of the grounds and was always ready to help. There is always plenty of parking. I highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to stay here. They have a gym and a laundry facility in the building. I appreciate everything they did for us while we stayed there.

Filthy..building always stinks..elevators will keep the same dirty bandaids and food on the floor for weeks. Management is awful. Maintenance is nice though.

It’s very well maintained area

All smiles until you sign the lease. I began receiving harassing calls from the NCC Business Services Collection Agency in 2018 and shortly afterward a negative report was placed on my credit report. Finewell companies failed to provide written notice of any balance due or an itemized list of damages to explain the charges. I did not receive a security deposit back upon moving out with no explanation. Finewell Realty has poor management and living arraignment. During the lease, I was forced to move from multiple units due to an infestation of roaches, mold, and mushrooms growing out of the floor.

If you want bedbugs and roaches this is the place for you

So, I recently moved out of this complex. Yes, the price is very reasonable. The apartments with the new flooring and newer kitchen appliances are not bad at all.
There are more negatives to positives unfortunately. Since it is winter while writing this i will start with that when there is a snow storm and the plows do come through they make a path in the parking lot but they bury the car in to the parking spots. Which is a huge problem.
The other issues are things like The building needs to cleaned more and some of the outlets do not work.
The other issue is DO NOT USE THE ONLINE PORTAL.
So so so so many problems with that.

I was the first tenant to move into this poorly constructed building. You can talk to your next door neighbor without leaving your apartment and you don’t even have to raise your voice. When my lease is up in November I am out of here. A no smoking policy that is barely enforced, if you like to smoke pot, this is the place for you. Even the stoners from the building next door have set up a spot in the wooded area behind the parking lot for constant weed use. The police have been called here so often I have lost count. Do yourself a big favor and stay away from this hovel. This building was advertised as an artist community and what is there is a private art gallery that has very little interaction with the tenants of the building. BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T GET ARTISTS TO MOVE INTO THE BUILDING. They cheaped out on this building so they could get premium rents for their other property at 444 River Street.

Here is a portion of the email that Renee Rockefeller, the Property Manager, had me send to "the Company" when I requested to be let out of my lease. If I had to do it all over again, I would have rather slept on a friend's couch for a month and found a better apartment than have moved in to Hudson Pointe. I ended up moving out when another resident found feces in the laundry units while washing our clothes. Yes, someone was washing laundry soiled with human excrement and leaving the remains in the machines. This wasn't a one time incident, as you will read below, this happened on several occasions even after management was alerted. That discovery came after this email...
"After speaking with Renee, I was urged to send an email expressing these discussion points for management review.
My primary topic today was inquiring about lease termination options for my unit. Since moving in, I have observed several behaviors that concern me. The first is the recreational use of marijuana throughout the building. The smell of marijuana smoke is most prevalent in the stairwells but can also be detected at (just about) any given time entering or exiting the apartment building. At first I was able to dismiss the smell as perhaps a one-time incident. But over time it has been hard to dodge the, “Dad, what's that funny smell?” question from my children when they come to visit me.
I have also expressed concerns of the general security of the apartment complex. The exterior door on near the concrete staircase is frequently unlocked. I have called to have maintenance lock the door, someone must be using a hex key to unlock the door allowing anyone to enter the property at any time. The exterior door behind the gym is frequently propped open with a rock used by smokers. The door on the first floor by the laundry facility is often propped open with one of the planter blocks for hours at a time over the weekends. Again, I feel like I have to lock my door at all times, even when I’m going down to check the mail or change my clothes over in the laundry room.
Mail delivery. I no longer have packages sent to my home address, period. I have them sent to my work after a birthday gift sent from my father in Arizona was opened, rifled through, and left (with the birthday card) at my door on a Sunday afternoon. This was not done by the postal carrier. The box was clearly cut open by an individual determined to explore the contents inside. When they discovered a homemade card and coffee mug, they left the box, unwrapped, at my door. On a second occasion a surprise gift sent by my brother never arrived after I received confirmation that it had been delivered to the apartment building.
Cleanliness. Simply put, I question if there is a cleaning service for the apartment building. After reporting a bat flying in my apartment in February, I was instructed that if I called a pest company I would be billed. The maintenance staff came, found no bats, and were ready to right off the issue. I insisted that the continue to examine the walls and roof for openings. After speaking with other residents I was told they also had issues with mice in their unit. I discovered mice droppings in the kitchen, under the sink near the plumbing and around our stove when we moved out of the unit. The elevator has stains and smears, the carpets inside the building are stained beyond belief, the stairwells are often littered with cigarette butts, garbage bags from residents, and mud."

Apartments aren't up to code: windows release too much heat and let in too much cold and the walls are paper thin and not up to the sound code. Pathetic.
Updated a year later:
We have had a change in management a few times, new manager put up threatening letters on all apartment doors stating false information.
(Example: Starting if rent was 5 days late you will be EVICTED, when lease signed gives 7 days)
Can not wait to leave this terrible apartment complex. Disgustingly kept and the management is completely unprofessional and ultimately a joke of a system.
Save yourself, don't sign a lease here.

Generally speaking the management has been very helpful as we have had a few personal and financial issues over the years. They have helped immensely by signing papers and are still more than understanding about rent being paid in part by another party. The maintenance guys are very courteous and respectful. The price is reasonable by comparison to anything else in this area.
About 2 1/2 years ago my refrigerator died on a weekend. The on-call maintenance was pretty embarrassed to bring me the only fridge he could find; quite old/beat up. He apologized profusely and said I could get a better one during the week. I still have the old fridge. Management has been notified.
I see empty apartments getting new flooring. When we moved here the carpet was pretty rough but I had a cat and a young child so I let it go. It's been 8 years. I guess I thought at some point we'd be offered the option of moving into an updated apartment. The one across the hall was available twice.
Other issues here include outlets (receptacles) that don't work and the toilet wax ring was replaced so no leaks or rocking there anymore BUT the linoleum is stained and looks awful.
Overall, if this is what you can afford it is a decent bargain. I plan to move as soon as I can afford something else.

Huge disappointment...weed/cigarette odors permeate the building. "Management" is a misnomer...does not care. More often than not Demetria (manager) is not here, four day weekends no one here. Lots of lip service no action. Owners seem even less interested if they truly cared about their investment they would get a managment company in here that could actually do the job right. Btw, another reviewer is spot on: you can hear everything from the paper thin adjoining walls!

I had a less than favorable experience applying for a rental at the Hudson Arthouse. Although pleasant to speak with, Demetria from Multi Family Management was less than helpful during the process.
Calls to the office often go unanswered and the lack of communication during the application process with Demetria was unappreciated to say the least.
I decided to live elsewhere. I would recommend this building as a last resort. The units did look very nice especially for the rental price.

A shame. Millions of dollars to an out of state slumlord. Property manager Demetria from Multi Family Management could care less about the property or the tenants. Rooftop not open after almost two years. She's supposed to be running credit and criminal background checks on the people who live here, but there's no way. Walls are so thin you can hear and smell a neighbor's fart through them, trash and recycling overflow EVERY week, halls smell like weed or cigarette smoke. If they get some real management and the owner sued the people who built the walls to get them fixed, it could be a good place to live. As it is, spend your hard earned money someplace else!
