Great place with a very nice staff, and amazing food!! Portion are huge a food is tasty and fresh. Seasonning if spot on. The lost star is for the service, that could be a little bit faster (usually 15-20 min for a dish). Other than this, all the rest if great. Very nice space for family dinner night.

Not as expected expected, i liked their service they welcome you in a fast manner and find you a table, waitress was very friendly and took care of us, food wasn’t as expected unfortunately.

Place and service was friendly. The food was good but not spicy for me. Price is reasonable I think. If they can make bit spicy that would be great.

Istanbul Gunes is a hidden gem located in Montreal East that serves some of the best authentic Turkish cuisine in the city. The taste is truly exceptional, and the restaurant's tea with sweet dish is an absolute must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their warm smiles and excellent service only add to the overall dining experience.definitely.I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

Great part of Turkey in the east end. The food was very yummy and huge plates. You are guaranteed to leave with a couple of foam containers for next day's lunch. They ran out of meat and our menu items were limited. The dessert was average and over priced. Possibly because I was too full for dessert. Don't forget to ask for the tea before you leave.

Came across this place by chance.
Badly organized wait staffs, running around like chicken without heads and we waited so long to have our order taken.
We left in the end.

We drove 3 mins away instead to La Cappadoce, we were promptly seated and order taken within minutes for great authentic Turkish food prepared by the owner.

The doner sandwich is delicious, but the prices are too high, and the place is quite noisy.

Beautiful decor and ambiance. Perfect for bringing family or a date. Food is good and always on point. Price is fair. I probably go there once per week. It does get busy on Friday and during the weekends.

This restaurant offers food from the famous Turkish cuisine in the Middle East. In general, the food is very good, the meal is large, and the service is good. I think if he cut the shawarma thinly, it would be more delicious. Lahmajine was excellent, but 12 dollars is a little expensive for one thin slice. The fresh bread is very special, worth trying.

Im Turkish, we ordered sucuk pide and it took me back home, it was amazing, their lentil soup is a must try, it reminded me of my mom’s, thank you for making an international student happy. But wow it was expensive

Not impressed. The Ghozlem looked like a calzone, too much bulgur, salad with no turkish taste (some random ranch dressing), too salty and fat... Disappinted at this turkish restaurant. One positive thing, staff very nice and friendly.

2 days ago, I was tired and stressed. I invited my boyfriend to go somewhere for dinner to make me feel better. He chose Istanbul Gunes Kebab. And, actually we were so happy after trying your foods. Everyone nicely, smiling, polite even you are so busy. The taste 👅 of food are delicate more than what I expected. We have 🥗 first, secondly 🥣 with 🥖. And then we have main meal. At the end, I chose rice pudding. Everything single thing is perfectly make me happy. I suggest you guys come with a group of friends. Come a bit early by weekend if you want to have space. I am not sure we can reserve or not. I used to try to call before but nobody answer me. This time I just come by and find 2 seats for us. Hope I will come back asap!!!

We have been there a lot and the food is always good, never disappointed. However, not all waiters are good and it seems to be a pattern once the restaurant half full or more the service goes down.

Definitely a good place to go eat out when you're trying to celebrate an occasion or enjoy a moderately priced meal. Authentic Turkish restaurant (turkish employees) offering some classics and less known items on the menu. Everything is fresh and every bite is delicious

Bad service from the responsible person to the waiters and the borghol was not cooked at all, when we asked to change it they give it back and they said eat the meat and we will get you another borghol after 10 min, the same borghol
They didn’t tasted before they served to the costumers and they argued instead apologizing 😳

Nice place, kind and helpful staffs. Great soup . The main dishes are enough fir almost 2 person. The fresh bread is amazing. The dishes served with small salad.

The food is beyond delicious and one of the best Turkish restaurants ever in Montreal :) Gozleme is a great appetizer and the restaurant has very big proportions for plates including Turkish bread. My personal favorite is the Kebab Agneau and it comes with the best salad ever. Definitely try the Baklava for dessert as it tastes like heaven. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone

In level of food, particularly in Turkish cuisine, it is unbeatable. Big portion with high quality of kebabs steals every body's heart. I have visited several times in turkey and I am fan of Turkish food. This restaurant is easily comparable with restaurant in Turkey and even better than most of them. Just I wanna mention: don't expect a luxury restaurant, just go there for their high quality plates.

We ordered chicken and beef mix gyro platter, beef gyro platter and Cheese pide. I can say that there is a lot of room for improvement. The gyro was too oily and that didn't leave a good imapct on our taste buds. The surrounding wasn't tidy as well but the staff was helpful and friendly.

Very good clean food. Presentation is very good . Tasty and the wait staff is very nice .Go early. The place packs up fast. They have 2 locations. I highly recommend to go there . The lamb yero is. So good

I went with my wife to try turkish food and we both really liked it. The service was pretty fast in accommodating a place for us considering the place was packed when we went. As for the food, we both really liked it and both left the restaurant extremely full. I recommend people to go and try it out. We paid 29$ with tip and tax included for two plates so i cant say it was expensive either. Will definitely go back ...
