Not as expected expected, i liked their service they welcome you in a fast manner and find you a table, waitress was very friendly and took care of us, food wasn’t as expected unfortunately.

Istanbul Gunes is a hidden gem located in Montreal East that serves some of the best authentic Turkish cuisine in the city. The taste is truly exceptional, and the restaurant's tea with sweet dish is an absolute must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their warm smiles and excellent service only add to the overall dining experience.definitely.I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

Great part of Turkey in the east end. The food was very yummy and huge plates. You are guaranteed to leave with a couple of foam containers for next day's lunch. They ran out of meat and our menu items were limited. The dessert was average and over priced. Possibly because I was too full for dessert. Don't forget to ask for the tea before you leave.

Came across this place by chance.
Badly organized wait staffs, running around like chicken without heads and we waited so long to have our order taken.
We left in the end.

We drove 3 mins away instead to La Cappadoce, we were promptly seated and order taken within minutes for great authentic Turkish food prepared by the owner.

Beautiful decor and ambiance. Perfect for bringing family or a date. Food is good and always on point. Price is fair. I probably go there once per week. It does get busy on Friday and during the weekends.

2 days ago, I was tired and stressed. I invited my boyfriend to go somewhere for dinner to make me feel better. He chose Istanbul Gunes Kebab. And, actually we were so happy after trying your foods. Everyone nicely, smiling, polite even you are so busy. The taste 👅 of food are delicate more than what I expected. We have 🥗 first, secondly 🥣 with 🥖. And then we have main meal. At the end, I chose rice pudding. Everything single thing is perfectly make me happy. I suggest you guys come with a group of friends. Come a bit early by weekend if you want to have space. I am not sure we can reserve or not. I used to try to call before but nobody answer me. This time I just come by and find 2 seats for us. Hope I will come back asap!!!

Definitely a good place to go eat out when you're trying to celebrate an occasion or enjoy a moderately priced meal. Authentic Turkish restaurant (turkish employees) offering some classics and less known items on the menu. Everything is fresh and every bite is delicious
