Looking for a good bacon and egg roll, I stumbled upon Paramount Coffee Project. We were seated and served within a minute of arriving, and the service was friendly and without fault. The bacon and egg sandwiches were great. The bacon was well cooked, the egg was moist and not overdone, the kale crispy, and the buns were soft and delicious.

The coffee and hot chocolate were nice, but not anything you couldn’t get elsewhere. The inclusion of Panela sugar was a nice surprise, too.,

Came here for breakfast before work one morning. I do like the vibes of the place and the staff were quite friendly. However, the food was disappointing, especially for the price. The signature eggs benny with ham cost about $26 but the toast was thin and soggy, presentation was not very appetising and the Benedict sauce was lacking in consistency + flavour. The table next to mine was also struggling to cut through the toast. The coffee was decent though.

Fabulous cafe. The coffee is exceptional and the food delicious. The venue is typical Surry Hills. Industrial chic with concrete, metal and wood finishes. There is a back entry to the rear lane as well and dogs are welcome in this section. A great place for breakfast.
I went to eat with 2 friends. sat at a big table Shared with other customers There were 4 people at the table, but 2 of them had finished eating. When I finished ordering food There were 3 new people coming to sit. By the time I got the drink and food, I was halfway through eating it. Then 2 more customers came and sat. About 15% of the food was left on the plate. The fifth customer who came asked me if she could move tables. There were 10 people with me and a friend. For me, I think that this kind of thing should be the responsibility of the waiter. who spoke to me Don't let the customers speak for themselves. And I still haven't finish my food !

Cracker bacon and egg roll, and have been advised that the shakshouka goes down a treat as well. Coffee was also thoroughly enjoyed by all and would definitely recommend Four Ate Five to anyone!

Kudos to the chef(s) for putting passion on their plates! Exceptional breakfast - innovative menu. Great coffee. Friendly service. I had one of their specials of the day, with a spiced maple tahini sauce and chorizo, it was really good! Their sourdough toast was also perfect. Definitely will visit again to try more.
Beautiful cafe in the middle of Surry Hills.

Amazing food and coffee, one of the best avo toast I had in Sydney.

The service was great, friendly, quick and very helpful.

I will 100% go back. Highly recommended

All meals are wonderful! Especially the Benedict, love it!

There's an employee or maybe restaurant owner who gave our kids for a cup cake! That was also delicious! Thanks for the lovely treats!
We definitely will come back next time!❤️

Love the rueben sandwich. Ricotta pancakes are a bit sweet and not puffy with too much cranberries sauce poured over them.
The vibe is cool.
Insanely good breakfast. Stayed in Sydney for just a week and decided to eat there 3 times because it was so good.

Their Cilbur is insane (try it with their turkish sausage!) and Big Breakkie, too.

Absolutely love the Paddock on Crown! This has been our go-to brunch spot for a long time and the food is on point every time!! They deserve all the stars as we've tried quite a few of their best dishes and they're all amazing. My favourites are the soba noodles, pasta dishes and breakfasts. Also love their signature fluffy pancakes. Very friendly staff, prices are very fair, and love that they welcome furry friends. We love coming here before catching the tram straight to the city. 100% recommend!

I ordered soba noodles and this is the most awful noodles I have ever eaten. The salmon is VERY VERY FAT and nearly all of the salmon pieces are fat. I can't swallow it without drinking water. The deep fried egg is not with salt or pepper or any sauce. Only the soda noodles with some flavor. The food only worths $5, The service worths $5 but the actual price is $28. Only the drinks are tasty.

There were not much crowded in that moment. 9ish am.
Actually, I was gonna go to the really popular cafe "single O" which is located next to this cafe, but that one was full of people and I gave up this time.
But, this cafe was good enough👍
I had flat white and corn flitter for breakfast.
To be honest, campos coffee is the best no matter where you drink it☕️
I'd like to come again for breakfast!

I decided to check out the pancakes at this cafe as a treat for myself after completing the half marathon. It’s a busy little café bustling with activity and plenty of team members to keep the food moving and the service to a high standard. I arrived and was asked to wait a few minutes for a table. I was soon seated and then ordered. Before I knew my coffee had arrived followed soon after by my buttermilk pancakes with strawberries and marscapone. The dish also comes with a small container of strawberry jam and a jug of maple syrup. The pancakes are beautifully presented with a little icing sugar and chocolate flakes. The coffee www great however the pancakes were the hero. In fact it reminded me of eating scones with ham and cream. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would have happily loitered if not for the steady arrival of people all eagerly awaiting a table. Very attentive service, great coffee and food and a quirky decor. Well worth a visit.

I ordered a oxtail pasta. It should be a red sauce pasta but the flavor of the sauce was very light and there was only a little beef in the pasta. Besides the pasta noodle sticks together a little bit. In conclusion, price is a bit high comparing with the food served.

Charming decor here, it truly lives up to the Blacksmith name. I ordered a small flat-white coffee, and an acai bowl with added yoghurt. The friendly staff had my items on my table quickly, along with a jug of water and a glass. The coffee was nice and hot, and tasted great. The acai bowl was delicious, and was quite refreshing after the coffee. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, recommended.

Big menu and the food was some of the best cafe food I’ve had in Sydney. Coffee was also really good. Highly recommend and will definitely be back as the burrito was delicious as well as the coffees. Best combination of service, atmosphere and the food itself I've ever had at a breakfast cafe/bakery

I had eggs Benedict (scrambled) with bacon and added mushrooms and a hash brown. Love a hybrid between eggs Benny and big breakfast. Cafes should make this part of the menu ;). Everything was perfectly cooked, mushrooms not dry, either.

A leisurely lunch at Paramount Coffee Project: Our picks were the classic crumbed egg on toast and a satisfying avocado toast. Their food and coffee certainly hit the mark, but leaned towards the pricier end. It’s the generous space and cozy ambiance that quietly wins us over.

Delighted to have been able to try this place finally—there always seems to be a queue for the limited outdoor seats. We scored by going at 830am.

At first I was gonna snag the bacon and egg roll but my partner already ordered the lamb mennen so I balanced out the table with the kale pesto salad. An absolute win it was. Surprisingly filling as well.

The drinks were excellent.

You have to go inside to pay.

High traffic footpath which means our dog got to sniff many passing dogs whilst we dined.

I love the combiantion of avocado and scrambled egg and I couldnt find this combo in any of the cafes in Sydney. BUT FINALLY I FOUND IT IN THIS CAFE!! I was so excited and it tasted so good!! they even have my favorite matcha frappe, they literally have everything that i like on their menu. I would definitely come back to try out other dishes!! I love the outdoor seatings with the view of the surryhills street 💕
Finally ate here after years of just getting coffee. It was pretty good. Pretty busy for 8:30a but snagged one of the outside tables easily. Coffee was stellar as usual. The crumbed barramundi was very good although I was amused at the hot dog bun. Partners chicken sando was also good although I’d pass on the olives. Overall a good place that I might come back to for some chill focus time, but I wouldn’t wait in line for it.
Always the chicken and waffles!

Chicken was light and crispy, the waffles light and fluffy and the maple bacon gravy to die for. We waited for about 35 minutes but it was worth the wait. The team were all super friendly and cheery despite getting hassled constantly by impatient hipsters.

All of our party loved their meals. We were also lucky to sit outside with the sun putting on a show.

Lovely cafe on Crown street. Service was great , very friendly waiters. There are a good range of breakfast options, everyone one our table liked their food. It was fresh and delicious.
Amazing!!!! Happened upon this place and there was consistently a line out the door. Great for small groups (2-4 people) or solo diners. I asked the waitress to surprise me with a coffee and food order and it was FANTASTIC. Best flat white and espresso tasting, and incredible corn fritters with avocado and soft boiled eggs. I stayed for nearly two hours reading a book. Highly recommend.
Love the Reuben and coffee. Visited a few times. I also enjoy the Ricotta pancake with fried chicken, it’s not overwhelmingly sweet and a good contrast between flavours. Can get pretty busy but haven’t had to wait very long for a table for two.

We had brunch on a busy Sunday, the food was delicious but we waited an hour for it! When it arrived we had no cutlery, but waiter said he'd bring it, he went back to kitchen and served 2 table their coffee first, then got cross when we tried to get our own knives and forks! They also forgot the 4th coffee! Food and atmosphere were good, but pack your patience!!

After a long exhausting flight from Bangkok, our first meal in Sydney, Australia, was at the charming "Two Good Eggs Cafe". Conveniently located around Elizabeth St. and Goulburn St. near our hotel, it was the perfect spot to start our day. We ordered a croissant filled with bacon and scrambled eggs, a delightful combination. Additionally, the "Two Good Eggs breakfast" was delicious. Both the hot chocolate and coffee were exceptionally made with high-quality ingredients. Highly recommended for a great start to your day!

After a few weeks of being out of the country this was my first stop after landing back in Sydney.

We got in early (around 7am) and the quite empty cafe saw us seated in comfortable both and chair style seating. The calm didn’t last long as this place is popular. Patrons quickly filled the indoor seating and a constant flow of take away coffee orders filed past outside.

The service is prompt and adequate. Our server was polite and friendly and we ordered a round of coffees and some breakfast fare.

The coffee is on point. I forgot to order mine extra hot but for those who have their coffee at the regulation temperature you won’t be disappointed.

Food is fresh and well prepared. I had the avi with lot and it was a really well thought out dish. And thank you for sliced avocado!! I am not a fan of the smashed variety and it was refreshing to see a common dish done with some flare and originality.

The granola was really good with a variety of fruits and a really beautiful granola. Perfect!

A great place to grab a bite in the heart of Sydney! Thanks!
Good food and quick service. About a 20min wait on a Saturday morning at 10:30am but once you order food comes pretty quickly. Recommend the chicken and waffle ($27) which was crispy and quite filling although the colour and texture of the maple bacon gravy was quite unappealing. The scrambled eggs were buttery and silky and the sourdough bread from AP was fresh and crunchy ($23) Mocha was smooth and tasty ($5.5) The cafe has an industrial vibe and feels very hectic with lots of people waiting around and sharing the lobby with the hotel and AP bread. Expect to be sharing a table with others. Downside is that prices are high and weekend has 10% surcharge and not really a place you can stay and chat for long due to how busy it gets.

Good food. The black sausages in the English breakfast was nice, as was the bacon. The home fries were average, a bit too soft and lukewarm. The chicken and waffle was an interesting mix, good salty and sweet flavours. The fried chicken was juicy inside and crispy on the outside. It was too loud inside with the open kitchen and coffee machine running. Bit disappointed with the service and atmosphere was average. Cups were not washed properly. There was lipstick on the cup, we mentioned it to the staff who’s answer was “oh”. More acknowledgment and an apology would be better, it’s pretty gross, but it may be a one off occasion so we might try the cafe again. They have a good selection of drinks on the menu.

its my second time here, food is good, price is okay. The most disappointing is my Water glass had a small tiny black stain on it.

Overall the experience is a 8.5/10. The only problem for me is the dirty glass.

We enjoyed ourselves 🌻
An easy 5/5. Brilliant food & coffee, staff were kind, felt at home inside, fun decor and cute view by the window overlooking the street.

Fantastic spot close to Central, with a rustic blacksmith decor that runs all the way from the doors to the teapots!

The food was fantastic! Standard Australian breakfast fare but with a few twists along the way. They also managed to serve a table of 15 without issue which is no mean feat.

Coffee was also delicious, with great latte art. Again they were serving a lot of people so this was great to see.

Service was friendly and efficient (or at least as efficient as they could be for a party as large as ours).
Very good coffee! Atmosphere was chill, and the servers were very friendly.

We ordered the 'Fish Dawg' and the 'Beef Short Rib'. Both were very delicious. The fish roll was huge! The fish was super thick and cooked to perfection. But the beef short ribs was the winner for me. The beef brisket was super tender, and every component on the plate just makes sense. They complement each other perfectly.

This is currently my favourite cafe in Sydney! They serve both really good coffee and food.

Cute Cafe in Surry Hills. They have Asian inspired dish as well as western breakie/lunch. Coffee is great, friendly. They gave us heads up when the food seems bit delayed than expected (like 3mins to serve).omelette i had was great with chorizo, potato, some veggies +sourdough, good quantity too. Their pancake seems signature meal!
The food is amazing. My favourite is the Chicken and Waffles. The only thing I would say, is that we've been here multiple times and everytime the staff is quick to get our initial coffee order, but then we are forgotten and have to flag down someone.

Their shokupan French toast was absolutely heaven! The sweetness was just to my liking though it might be a tad too sweet for other people. Love the vanilla ice cream compensating the sweetness of caramel sauce. The toast was crunchy at the edges and soft at the inside which made me crave for more!

Love the decor and atmosphere of this place. I was seated at the window and it felt comfortable if you wanted just all by yourself. The staff was attentive to customers and food was served pretty quick. Overall great food and customer service. Would love to come back to try other items on the menu!

Great cafe experience and only a short walk from central station. The food was lovely, the decor was fabulous and the staff was kind. Special mention to Jenny for being so helpful to us with our new baby.
I went this morning to the Single O Surry Hills Coffee shop. They are located in the Surry Hills. The location is very convenient, as it’s close to the Central Station, surrounded by other coffee shops, restaurants and chic hotels.

Single O Surry Hills is a trendy café frequented by locals, early office workers.
It gets busy during morning and lunch hours.

They brew and prepare different kind of coffees. The coffee shop have nice breakfast and lunch option.

I had a flat white with a breakfast burger with jack cheese. It was tasty and filling,

I recommend hopping in there and have a cup of coffee.

Nicely decorated rustic Cafe.

Pretty disappointed with what looked like a cool cafe for brunch. Waited for nearly an hour for cold, hard poached eggs on burnt toast. The service was very slow and it wasn't even that busy. I now know why you pay when you order. We would have left otherwise after the second time being told "another 10 minutes". Never did get any salt and pepper and the wait staff were barely attentive. Not somewhere I'd recommend.

Have been coming to this Cafe for years. Always a trusty place for good coffee & pastries. I was underwhelmed & disappointed with my Not Reuben - the wagyu brisket was on the thin side, a bit fatty & felt too dominated by the slaw for my liking. I did love my drink tho - the Blueberry & Rosemary Soda is AMAZING. Staff were attentive & helpful & I would still go back & give their other dishes a try despite my lack-lustre Not Reuben. It’s a great space & always welcoming.

We went to Toast Cafe with the expectation of just having a bite to eat - that was certainly an underestimation! What we experienced was a culinary enlightenment. The combination of folded egg and bacon, in a sarnie, with a hash brown, and spicy mayo! Wow!

However, ‘it takes a village’, and the front of house was no exception. Jack was charming and his bubbly jokes were the real highlight. With his speedy service and trusty order memory, he really is an asset to Toast Cafe.

It is a must in Sydney.

The Okonomiyaki Benedict was absolutely amazing, why don't we see this offered everywhere? The coffee was a pleasant mild roast, so try something lighter on the milk if you're normally a latte drinker to really enjoy it.

Have been here a couple of times now and it is one of the best places for breakfast or lunch I know of in this area.
The service is superb and the food amazing, as well as the coffees.
I would absolutely recommend going here for a good and fulfilling meal.

Nice people and great coffee!
Lovely little cafe located in between Oxford St and Surry Hills. Went in after a long walk around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and although it was almost close time, the owner was very accommodating. My almond latte was so good I had to have a second one. They just packed down everything around me telling me not to worry, just to enjoy my coffee in peace, with a big genuine smile.

Really great food!

I had the teriyaki salmon rice bowl and it was AMAZING. 10/10 I will be coming back. It came with a miso soup and it was delicious.

I also had a lovely large cappuccino with oat milk and it was lovely.

Great vibe, great coffee and great food.

We had a shakshuka with lamb mince, gozleme with soujuk and cheese and Turkish breakfast and every dish was delicious. It is very refreshing that these guys do the Turkish Breakfast for one person (vs the usual set up for 2 people which is a lot of food!). Really good smooth and rich coffee. Loved the a-la "rough factory" interior design how causal yet well thought through it is.

Had a delicious coffee to accompany some perfect scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms laid on a fresh croissant. It tasted as good as it looks in this picture! Nice ambience with plenty of seats. Will definitely visit again!

Great place for brekkie. We are in Sydney for the weekend and found this little gem close to our accommodation. The dishes are generous in size, the coffee is excellent as is the service. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside and the cafe can accomodate larger groups too.
Wonderful experience. Not over priced, the staff are friendly as. Flat white was spot on. The smashed avo was perfect.
A colleague and I went in Sunday morning for the first time. We loved the place so much went back Monday and and the cook remembered our order from the day before. Not many places have that kind of experience. Such friendly people. This will be my go to for my morning coffee and smashed avo while visiting SYD.

Wonderful eggs benedict done! Beautiful in aesthetics and full of flavours. Latte was perfectly done. Smooth and rich. Warm and friendly staff as well. Full marks for breakfast place.
What a great place!

There was a waiting list, a queue outside and not even the rain was a deterrent to anyone trying to get a table.

For me personally, the best part was the excellent service, hats off for that.

The coffee was fantastic, the handless coffee cups are great.

The food was delicious, we ordered the “Annato pork toastie”, it was perfection.

The menu is interesting and wonderfully curated.

The atmosphere is great, a bit loud because of the space and how busy it was.

Every single detail is well thought, the menu with beautiful embroidery, the colours, the furnishing, the menu items.

Reasonably priced.

Everything is purposeful, I enjoyed that.

Menu says can’t change things so can’t even order something with eggs and change them to something else.

Avocado toast is $10 - add tomato for $4… yet on the menu there is “smashy avocados” for $16… and it comes with so much more stuff… but not allowed to swap eggs and stuff for vegan stuff like vegetables :/

Cost of coffee ($7-$8), $1 more expensive and not as tasty as other nearby coffees.

Overall though it is good and fast. :)

My French toast was so soft and in between the bread sheets there is this layer of custard or whatever and it was super!! It had everything that I ever wished for, creamy custardy bready sweet fluffy fruity and savoury (I added bacon on the side xD) my goodness bacon was so good, perfectly cooked and not too salty. Definitely add the bacon on side, they gave me like 4-5 long pieces of bacon wow so generous so worth it 👌 coffee was good, everyone else liked their dishes too.

We stopped here on our recent visit to Sydney to try the Turkish Breakfast Feast. We have always been fans of Turkish breakfast spreads since our visit to Istanbul. We were reminiscing about our trip throughout our meal at The Factory Grind. The spread was beautiful and big enough for a group of 3-4 people. The apple tea complimented our breakfast really well. The service and ambience were exceptional as well.
Tried brunching on Bourke street. We’ve walked out dog past this place many times and it has always been packed. Sure enough, it was crowded today too, but we lucked out—just as we queued up, a table cleared up. We were on the Bourke Street side, so our dog got to sniff many passing pups while she waited. Alas, no water bowls offered to her.

Alas the taro latte and matcha latte were both out, but my partner settled on a turmeric latte. Apparently it’s good for you. Tasted good too. I went with a flat white—a classic. I forgot to ask for oat milk!

She had the more chili croissant with egg and shrimp while I had the lamb, capsicum, and spinach gozleme. We were both quite happy with our choices and we devoured every bite. It was very filling, and despite my coffee I promptly took a nap after returning home.

Would definitely go back to try some of the other Turkish delights.

New cafe which will keep up with the competition. Most importantly, coffee is great. Wait staff very friendly and prices are very reasonable. Ingredients are fresh and meals were great. Will definitely be back.
I really like the vibe here! Nice, rustic, warm vibe. The staff here were also really cool and helpful. The scrambled eggs with Turkish bread tasted great! I'll definitely be back.

Coffee was nice, their brew is more on the bitter side but, similar to Di Bella, it's not due to how it's brewed, I think it's just the type of coffee beans they use. They brewed it really well. I'd recommend this cafe if you're in the area!

The matcha pancakes are amazing!! Haven't tried much else because of how great they are. The coffee could be better though.
If you're in the mood for treating yourself, these pancakes should definitely be a top contender!

Update: Over the years, I have tried and failed to order other dishes, however I take other people and taste theirs! 😉
Recently I went and the toppings on the hotcakes had changed, but still delivering the goods! So delicious! And yes, this time I really enjoyed my coffee. The service, as always, was lovely!

Hands down my favourite breakfast spot!
