Wow! Best meal I had in London. Ambience is awesome with a great music selection to match. Service is outstanding and the food, boy oh boy! I still think about the meal often and I've been back in Australia for a few weeks now. Can't wait to come back! Thank you guys!

First rate venue & experience. Well looked after by the whole team, each & everyone of who made us feel very special & valued.

Food was wonderful, both the presentation & taste.

More than worth a visit

Had a lovely couple of drinks here before a meal on a Friday night after work. Nice classy atmosphere. Enjoyed the selection of cocktails and how they were based on different cities across the world

Very pleasant experience! We got the Mumbai, Dubai, Kyoto and Mexico City. Highly recommend the Kyoto and Mexico City if you want to try something new! Very attentive and good vibes (thanks to Joao Paulo) . If you can't take a date, take a mate!
The set lunch was a good deal. The food was tasty and seasoned to perfection. Service was great. Don't miss out on the Mangaliza Shoulders Croquettes. The soup was perfect for the season and the combination duck & lentils and pumpkin new to me, but worked very well.

One of our top restaurants in London. The menu changes based on what’s in season. The thick cut bread is our favourite in the city. The house made chorizo and duck rice are so flavourful. Friendly and attentive service. The space is well designed, cozy pub vibes. Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing, the building is stunning with high ceilings. The staff is kind and very attentive and the food was delicious.
The menu is quite expensive but I totally recommend it as an experience not for a basic lunch/dinner.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with, in my view, the best steak in London.

It is very busy with excellent service, just something to be aware of is that it’s a pretty small space with the tables very close together. The noise is not too bad but I was with a guest who is hard of hearing who did find it difficult to ask the waiter questions.

Great food poor service. Drinks arrived after food waited ages for one meal while the other arrived. Nobody apologised they just got on with things. Never felt like a tourist in the ivy before. Disappointed

Visited this place by accident as I didn’t know it was there, we were going to the theatre and it was VERY busy so we were seated at the bar. It was quite a show with the hustle and bustle of the staff and they were amazing. Food Service was slightly slow but like I said they were very busy. Food was delicious. Service charge was 13.5% a little over the average 12.5. But very worth it.

I highly recommend this restaurant! I had to come back and leave a review because the restaurant truly deserves it, and Cristiano and the entire staff are an amazing team.
I was there with my friend, and we both ordered the Beef Wellington, which was incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is cozy, the decor is clean and elegant, and we felt very comfortable. The food is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every dish, and the flavors were exceptionally well-crafted and unlike anything I've tasted before. I can't wait to go back and try a new menu!
Went in for the lunch special, which is £29 for a set menu. The menu came with a starter, a main and dessert. However you have to pay for the sides apart (which they insist you should get so we got potatoes and salad).

My food was great, however we did have a problem with my friends food, where the fish tasted like amonia, we told the staff and they were very helpful. They told us they had removed the batch from the kitchen, gave us a refund on that plate and offered an alternative dish.

Style and Character: The restaurant exudes a metropolitan ambiance with its chic style. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you ready to enjoy a pleasant evening in Soho.

Food and Drinks: I recommend the beef Wellington for two. It was prepared to perfection, and the flavors were exquisite. The wine list, though not extensive, offers a manageable selection, and you're sure to find a suitable wine to complement your meal.

Summary: This restaurant is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a delightful dining experience in a chic metropolitan setting. From the mouthwatering beef Wellington to the inviting ambiance, it's a place where you can savor a good meal and create wonderful memories

Brat, in my opinion, is a culinary gem with outstanding food that never fails to impress. The flavors and creativity that go into each dish are simply remarkable, making it a haven for food enthusiasts. However, I do feel that the staff's attentiveness could be improved to match the high standard of the cuisine. While the service isn't lacking, a bit more attention to detail would enhance the overall dining experience.

Additionally, some might find the menu slightly overpriced, but considering the exceptional quality of ingredients and the culinary expertise, it's a price I'm willing to pay for a memorable meal. Despite these minor points, Brat remains our favorite restaurant. The unique flavors and the cozy ambiance create an unforgettable dining atmosphere that keeps us coming back for more.
For a 7 course tasting menu I thought the portions were incredibly small literally 1 spoonful. The flavours were nice but as a first tasting menu I won't be doing one again.

Service was rubbish as we had a gift voucher it's one of those restaurants where you are ignored if you have a voucher and don't want the wine list. I had 1 drink and wasn't asked again if I'd like another.

The only person that was good at serving was the guy doing the rounds with the bread.

It was too dark and very hot. Would not visit again.
Each dish is a small surprise in itself but a great culinary delight. You will automatically pay attention to the details of the carefully prepared dishes and will not be disappointed when your taste buds confirm this. Each of the dishes was prepared with attention to detail and care. The sizes also confirm this, so don't expect huge portions. The waiters seem a bit rushed but are knowledgeable about the food when asked questions.

We had a place in the basement. The noise level within the party decorations is quite high and doesn't really suit this type of food. By just looking at the interiors and atmosphere, one would not expect to be served with such delicacies which are not cheap. The food probably justifies itself in the higher price range more than the interior design and ambience do

Pictures and prices below (September 2023)
1. Virgin Passionfruit Martini £12
2. Steak Tartare
chopped raw fillet scotch beed with chornichons and capers, egg yolk and crispbread £16
3. Chateaubriand 28 day aged Aberdeenshire scotch beef with truffle jus 225g £50
4. Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream £?
5. Little free Birthday surprise
6. Chocolate Caviar £9

One of my top three restaurants in London. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so welcoming. The sort of place where you could have a 3hr meal and not even notice it. The food is incredible, the drink list is always well curated and the restaurant design is quaint and traditional. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only thing to note is that the mains are priced quite high, so sometimes we’ll get a bunch of smaller sharing plates instead (but this may not be the best strategy if you’re really hungry).

Good food and service. Got there early and they endeavoured to get our table ready quickly so we didn't wait too long even though it was busy. Food arrived in a timely manner also.
Everything you should expect in a five stars restaurant. A pity they don't serve individual portions of Wellington, but that's the norm on these places.
The Grouse is highly recommend, easily the best dish in my London stay.

Our meal at Brat was simply one of the best we enjoyed during our stay in London. We heard about your wonderful restaurant from friends back home in the US and then saw it featured on Someone Feed Phil. The experience was amazing, the service, the ambiance, and the food was incredibly delicious. The Turbot had me sucking on the bones to get every morsel, the squid was exquisite, and the bread made for an excellent tool to capture the sauce of the turbot. I would recommend anyone visiting London must make it a goal to stop by your fine establishment. Cheers
I have never felt so offended in my life. I went in as a walk in after checking on their website that they do have multiple tables available. I was told by the receptionist that the restaurant was fully booked even after showing him that their website shows availability. I wasn’t able to be seated until I asked for the manager, i have never felt so offended in my life, i honestly feel that the receptionist didn’t want to see just because I was an arab.

A very fun place for a special occasion. The "press for champagne" button works as advertised! Excellent, attentive service. Quiet, classy atmosphere. The food was also very good, although our options were limited as one of us has a prawn allergy. Can't wait to go back and press the button again!

We had our 15th Anniversary Dinner at Bob Bob Ricard Soho!
I would rate it 9/10, it would have been a perfect score if they didn't use paper place mats and the plain bread & butter which is 3 small pieces of baguette and Cornish butter which was wrapped... also, they were not free, like what other restaurants do. I'm a sucker for restaurant bread and butter and I rate all fine dining restaurants with their bread and butter. If you cannot serve quality bread and butter, you lose points! In fairness, everything else was amazing!, the rest of the food was good quality and delicious, interior and ambiance was stunning, service and staff were friendly and well trained. Although, despite me stating on our reservation that it was our anniversary, they did not know until I asked for them to take a picture of us with their signature chocolate mousse with my own brought cake toppers. The free celebration cake was surprisingly delicious, so all is forgiven!

What we ordered:
Bread & Butter
Virgin Mojitos
Steak Tartare
Scallop, Lobster & Shrimp Pelmeni
Beef Wellington for Two
Signature Chocolate Glory

What a find. Every dish we had was high quality and unusual. The duck rice was exceptional. Burnt cheesecake didn't sound great but was light and delicious. Vino Verde accompanied everything with a nice refreshing fizz. The staff were welcoming & knowledgeable. We will be back.

I’ve been there on my birthday and I really enjoyed my time there and thanks to Mohamad, he helped us with choosing the right drinks and his service was really great.
The great stuff = The grilled courgette and Mac n cheese were outstanding!
My friend said the cod fillet was brilliant too!
Dessert was good too however I’d hoped for a warm+cold dessert option on the menu as I like the mix of the two temperatures in my desserts 🤷🏿‍♀️

Service is what you expect for a dinning sure as this hence my 4 stars!

The not so great stuff = the staff too so long to take our order even as we attempted to get their attention a few times! But I wouldn’t hold this against them, looked busy for a Sunday!

Great experience here.
Service was fab and very personal from start to finish. They didn’t forget a thing. There’s a lovely ambience to the restaurant and because of this, it is not noticeable that there is no music. I loved that.
As for the food, brilliant!
Starting off with caviar (which rookie error, came before our bread 😳) , plenty of trimmings for the caviar. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Bellinis, they were very bready borderline stale.
Then my main was outstanding, be it much larger than I expected ! In fact it was huge! I had the duck which came with a beautiful cherry potato and duck confit which was to die for.
The lobster omelette is very creamy and rich , it also comes with chips and the lobster tail with salad. Again massive portion!
We shared a generous side of peas which lacked pancetta.
For dessert we shared a delicious chocolate and mango mousse , yum!!
Overall I loved my experience here , felt like a proper traditional British restaurant. Well worth dressing up to come here.
Delicious food and with the size of the portions it’s also great value, about £125pp.
I must say the duck was delicious!!

Food was average, maybe because I had expectations. The oysters were the best among all the dishes we tried; fresh and had depth to the flavours. The chorizo was fresh, peppers were slightly undercooked hence spicy.

The duck rice was good, loved the slight burnt crispy bits that adds crunch to the dish. However, the mutton chop was too fatty for our liking, only 4 slices of meat and the rest were 100% fat which was too much for us. We didn’t enjoy it at all, and definitely too much fat for a main.

We had cheesecake for dessert, average I would say.

Overall, 6.5/10.

Had a lovely late lunch/early dinner at Ivy’s on Friday. We didn’t have booking’s however lovely gentleman by reception manage to find us (4 girls) a table. He had some fish and chips, salmon, asparagus followed by amazing cocktails! 🍹
We absolutely enjoyed service by mister Andrew who’s knowledge of food and hospitality in general is extraordinary. 😍
Thank you for making our night Andrew. Next time we fly in to London we are visiting this place again! 😍
Delicious set lunch menu of a cold leek and potato soup to start, and was lucky enough to get the mince on toast which was the perfect level of richness.. I have no words for the bread its served on 😍. Then a lovely creamy custard slice for desert.

Food 4.5/5
(The app rating system doesn’t allow half stars)
They have many unique and delicious-sounding dishes, and the presentation of my plates were very nice.

I ordered a potato pie, which looked beautiful. However, it tasted rather bland. The green (spinach?) sauce tasted like nothing, even though it was very visually pleasing.

I also got a pork pie, which was much more flavorful. It comes with a little sauce boat of gravy, which I loved.

For dessert I got the coffee tart, which our waiter said is very popular. It was very pretty and tasted decent too, but it had too many nuts and too little tart for my taste. The outer chocolate shell was also rather hard (perhaps partly due to the added protection from the nuts underneath), so I had to smash it open with my spoon.

Service 5/5
The waiter was very nice and attentive, and the staff all dressed very poshly. However, when we went there at around 1pm, there seems to be only one waiter working, so he was stretched out a bit thin and wouldn’t come around often.

All of the food came surprisingly quickly, even the pies that were supposed to take 30mins to prepare according to the menu.

Also, my friend asked if he could get some bacon with his fish and chips, and they granted that. And the bacon was very nice too. That was very nice of them. Thanks!

Ambiance 5/5
Very beautiful room. Love the marble columns and the red leather benches and the unique lamps. The choice of background music was also excellent. Everything was clean and pretty. My only complaint would be that the tables were a little close to each other, so it was difficult to get out of my seat.
A beautiful space with a fantastic menu. Either they were understaffed or not trained well but the service was painfully slow and our server seemed very nervous the entire time. Food, atmosphere and location made up for it (as well as the Air Conditioning on a hot day).
We were able to book a dinner very last minute and what a pleasant surprise. The space is quite big inside with an edgy and retrò decor.
We've ordered fried zucchini and cheese soufflé as starters and OMG both were absolutely fantastic. Portion sizes are quite big.
As mains we've ordered the Ivy burger and the glazed Korean chicken. Nothing to say here. Everything was cooked perfectly and vary tasty.
The service was a bit slow but that's ok.
We spent 69£ total.
Super cute traditional building. Tons of character both downstairs and in the private dining room upstairs. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Amazing food - the vegetarian set menu was original and everything was perfect. Great wine selection, and the cheeses on the cheeseboard were SO good.

Took a mate here for his 40th bday. Was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. He got the wine pairing and I got the tea pairing (not something I have ever heard of before!). All really enjoyable and delicious. All the staff were excellent and the young sommelier was pretty hilarious.

I gotta be honest tho this is the most I have ever spent on a meal in my life. It is deffo not cheap. The bill came to ~850 for 2.

I really enjoyed it tho which is saying something. I plan to take my wife on a special occasion as well. Keep up the great work across the whole restaurant.
Beautiful interior, wonderful welcome from staff.

Warm Greeting form sommelier.
Good wine selection- a whole book of wines to choose from.

Had the three course meal, the starters was nice- chicken parfait with brioche, super rich but very tasty.

The mains of beef Wellington with a supplement which was excellent with the amazingly intense jus and the desert were amazing of chocolate tart and the cheese cake.

Wonderful food, amazing service and beautiful ambience.
We had a 7 course meal along with a wine pairing at Galvin La Chapelle. We went for an early evening booking at 6pm - which I would recommend. It was a joy to be there without many people there and enjoy as the restaurant filled up. The service was excellent and the food and wine pairing was first class. We liked our sommelier but had the feeling he wasn’t used to meeting people who are very interested in the wine. We felt he was surprised by our interest!

The venue is absolutely stunning. A real luxurious foodie experience in london.

The place where pie experts reside! We had the scotch egg, griddled tiger prawn and charcuterie board as starter and it was superb. For mains we had the chicken pie, pork pie amongst the 4 of us and the truffle parmesan Fries and some peas on the side, all were excellent. I have also enjoyed a few cocktails including a cornish martini and an expresso martini. I can't wait for my next Sunday lunch there and looking forward to trying the mutton pie.
One of the best places for authentic and yet modern British dishes. Sometime you go to a place like this and you felt like the food was good but it wasn't spectacular since you thought it was too traditional and you have had it before somewhere similar. However, the food here got a small surprising touch to every dish that elevates and modernises up the food from a fine dish to a great dish.
Just top notch all round. Sunday lunch to remember, with excellent food, excellent wines, excellent service and excellent ambience, complete with Brian, the excellent pianist (we’ll say hello to Churchtown for you!). Guess what, we think it was excellent…! Properly 5 star deluxe.

10/10 restaurant, dont have anything to complain. Special thanks to the bartender staff, he is very nice with good service who served us. The two cocktails are one of the best I have ever tried. Caviar is nicely presented, perfect as a starting dish, especially they have all three available option to try.
The traditional dumplings has a very rich lobster bisque taste. Topped with some trout roe. The whole presentation is very well presented.
The salmon en croute is nicely baked. The puff is very nice with filling: salmon, mushroom. I like the idea, and the have executed the flavour very well. The champagne sauce is also stunning. Little bit ‘sour’ taste from the champagne which is very match with the puff.
Lobster macaroni is very surprising. The lobster meat are mixed inside with the macaroni, you can taste the whole macaroni with a slight lobster flavour.
Crème burlee is better than 80% i have tried in Paris. The cream is very well balanced, not too sweet.
Great atmosphere and service with attention to small details. The highlight was the beef wellington, which was delicious, and the Chateaux d'Yquem, which is served by glass.
The other dishes were tasty but not too special.
The champagne button is a cute attraction.

Although the restaurant is pricey, overall recommended for an occasion.

I ended up choosing oysters and the blackboard charcuterie with the steak. Oysters were huge! Cured meats each had a distinctively different taste. They were served with the nicest toasted sourdough wafers and tomato chutney to offset the saltiness of the meats. Steak was perfectly cooked. Chips were crispy (and I mean every chip was crispy; obviously properly triple fried) and amazingly seasoned. Glad I chose to come here.

We visited for a pre-theatre meal. The restaurant was almost empty, but at that time during the early week it’s expected.
The restaurant is well known for its pie room. However we didn’t have enough time to order the pie.
Instead we had suet pudding with mashed potatoes and beautifully curated cocktails.
The cherry dessert was our favourite.
The service was exceptional and in lined with a 5 star hotel.
The rosewood hotel is a wonderful secret hidden oasis in the middle of central London.
The dishes were pricey, but expected

Make sure you look for the entrance with the flowers surrounding the doorstep. After we stepped in, we were promptly greeted and taken to our table. Our server was polite, funny and professional. The food was amazing, and their house champagne was even better! They hit all the marks, and service was prompt.
The Sunday Roast was excellent and easily our favorite meal of the vacation. Felt reasonably priced. The lamb was exquisite with the gravy, the cheese cauliflower was delicious and unique, and the rest complemented the meal well. The decor is also great and very clean. I would come back again!

Background
I first tried it when it opened in 2013. This is my second time around after a decade. It is a restaurant with Michelin-star status

Ambience:
The restaurant is elegant and sophisticated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The stylish decor, coupled with dim lighting, sets the stage for an intimate dining experience. I was told that the recently refurbished.

Service:
The service was nothing short of impeccable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and professional, ensuring that every guest feels well taken care of. From the moment you step in, you are greeted with a warm welcome, and throughout the meal, the staff is prompt in their service, ensuring that your needs are met.

Food:
I feel that the non-vegetarian options are exceptional cos my dinner companion was pretty satisfied with the food, but the vegetarian degustation menu had its hits and misses. Some dishes stood out with their unique flavours and presentation, while others fell short of expectations. The vegetarian options could benefit from more consistency and refinement.

Overall:
It was a memorable dining experience with its elegant ambience, impeccable service, and innovative cuisine.

Great venue for music, however all of the drinks we got were terrible, none of them were enjoyable.
Service is extremely slow, we had to chase people to take our drink order. It’s a real shame that despite an amazing ambience and DJ set music the drinks and service are awful.
If I could have given 10 stars I would!

This was our first visit and we were blown away with the service & food. It’s our 30th wedding anniversary and we thought we would have a nice lunch here as the outside seating area looked very inviting.
The reception staff passed us the menus and handed us over to one of the waiters. We were early so had a choice of tables.
The staff were polite and attentive at all times.
Our shepherd pie was delicious as was all the food we ordered.
While chatting with one of the waiters we mentioned our anniversary and at dessert time he brought us an anniversary chocolate bombe each, a lovely gesture and it made our day!

Thank you to all the staff, an anniversary meal we will remember. Highly recommend.
When many people say to me, “British food is so bland!” I would like to point you towards: “The Goring,” where they’re systematically changing the narrative one authentic British dish at a time. I had the Cotswold Truffle Chicken which was juicy and tender with a lovely seasoned gravy and a yummy corn, truffle tartlet (dreamy & creamy)! The duck was off of the charts.
The side of duck leg was mouth watering and tender! I would have loved a bit more crispness on the duck fat pieces but overall completely satisfied! Dessert was a work of art. If you want true British cuisine served old school with all the bells and whistles, this is your must Reserve stop when in London! 🥰

I absolutely adored this hotel, me and my Mum visited for the set menu lunch and it was faultless! Sea trout was cooked to perfection, the complimentary bread was so flavoursome, and the dessert quite possibly one of the best I've ever had (which is a lot!). From the moment you arrive, everyone is on hand to escort you to where you need to be, very welcoming and nothing is too much for them. Interior is beautiful, very traditional. Thank you to the entire hospitality team at the Lanesborough for making us feel special, I look forward to returning in the near future!

Last weekend I was very disappointed at my visit to Bob Bob Ricard.

The food was okay, not bad but not great. For the price you pay you can visit so many other great restaurants in Soho and London more broadly. Sides are not included so you must order some to go with your main.

The champagne list was disappointing. It was exciting to press the button and the service was great. The wait staff agreed to not top up our glasses so we could press button every time we wanted them to top us up. They came instantly and it was great novelty.

In general this place is for Instagram. The score reflects the perception vs the reality in experience. It’s novelty. For the price I paid, you could have a better experience somewhere else.

Wow, wow, wow — simply spoiled from start to finish! Interesting tea and wine pairing, give it a try if it’s still on the menu.

Pro-tip: the restaurant isn’t within the town hall building itself but next door in a building of its own.

Expect to spend at least £300+ on the tasting menu with the welcome champagne, beverage pairing, coffee/tea.
An absolutely wonderful experience , truly worth their Michelin Star ! The ambiance was delicate and comfortable with soothing music and deep cushioned seating. The servers were attentive with impeccable manners and clearly took pride in their work.

What a deliciously intimate and inviting space. Hard to spot from the outside and not for the inexperienced or rowdy, Blind Spot is the perfect, well, blind spot for a quiet drink between up to 4 friends. That’s not a limit they impose, but you’d really detract from your experience by going above. Knowledgable and kind staff, with perfectly balanced drinks.

Quality Chop House offers a decent dining experience. While most of the starters and desserts didn't captivate my attention enough to order them, I must commend the Corquette snack for its delightful flavors. The Turbot and pork loin chop were the highlights of the meal, cooked to perfection with impeccable timing. The Confit potatoes were a must-try, although they tend to become slightly greasy if not consumed promptly. They pair excellently with mustard, creating a delectable combination. The wine list boasts a satisfying variety of choices. However, the restaurant environment falls short, with cramped tables and uncomfortable seating arrangements. Despite this, Quality Chop House provides good value for money and comes recommended for its standout dishes.

The restaurant is situated on the first floor up narrow stairs.
The space is industrial with an open kitchen and a relaxed ambiance.
Service was friendly, however we had the feeling they were pushing us to take more dishes than we originally considered.
Food was tasty, The crab - a simple dish had a good sauce cooking
we had fish - the clams were replaced by vegetables in consideration of dietary restrictions.
The pork neck ribs ere very tasty but had more fat than I could finish.
The greens side dish had interesting spicing and preparation but was hard - more suitable for the biologic pig I ate.

Good restaurant, however I am not sure it merits a Michelin star.
I had a great birthday lunch with my wife. We enjoyed a delightful 3 course meal in very nice surroundings. The service was excellent and one of the waiters explained the origins of the Lanesborough, which at one point had been a hospital which later moved to St George's in Tooting, hence the Lanesborough Wing at St George's. The dining area was actually the hospitals operating theatre. Forgive the distraction...
back to lunch, the food was amazing as anticipated. For starters we had cured scottish salmon and a pressed terrine of truffle corn fed chicken with a cheddar brioche roll. For mains we had Suffolk belly pork and sea trout. For dessert we had a Rich Manhan chocolate cake with brandy ice cream. And for afters some petit fours. Recommended and all very delicious 😋

Always a pleasure to be back and be taken great care by the team! The space is cosy, the service is excellent, and the food is hands down one of the most unique yet familiar I’ve experienced. It may be a little off the beaten path to head over the Shoreditch, but it is well worth the effort. A big shoutout to chef Rhys and his team for executing a smashing degustation menu, Keith for the wine pairing and extensive knowledge, and Paolo and his colleagues for a seamless and joyful service!
2nd time coming here and honestly amazing. The service is exceptional! They make you feel so welcome and like a queen/king. The food is has been consistently great, soo soo delicious. Thank you.

Here you can taste the real British pie, so good! Also they have a great gin selection and desserts are delicious.
The staff is awesome, they made our dining experience perfect. Service was just perfect.
The dining hall is very cool.
I definitely recommend a visit and I suggest trying the chicken pie, it was our favorite one.

We also got the chance to visit the pie room where chef was making pies and they explained a bit how it is done, super!!

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had, with very inventive dishes and wonderful service! I went alone and had the dinner tasting menu. Sometimes, I find that it's a bit awkward doing tasting menus alone, but the server was fantastic and was just the right amount of talkative.
There were some absolutely phenomenal courses (e.g. broccoli, trout), some great courses (e.g. lettuce/cauliflower, lamb), but also some misses for me (including the scallop supplement). Overall, I really enjoyed the food and thought it was well worth the price. On top of that, the atmosphere and service were top notch, making this one of the best fine dining experiences I've ever had.
Came here for a birthday dinner. The service was brutal and the food was a 3/5. Not worth the price, you can do much better in the area in my opinion.
If your thinking of a place to enjoy great food , nice wines , excellent friendly service in a fabulous location then allow me to recommend The Lanesborough Grill. This was our first visit here and I can assure you it will not be our last.

We arrived at the Lanesborough Hotel in it’s perfect location on Hyde Park Corner and received a warm and friendly welcome. We were escorted to the restrooms where we could freshen up before lunch. Waiting for us at reception to the Grill was yet another very friendly welcome before being shown to our table. Once comfortable we looked around the dining room which was absolutely stunning with a classic old style feel. We immediately felt so relaxed and this was to continue throughout our time here.

Our lunch got off to an excellent start as we were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us to the restaurant. We enjoyed our champagne while browsing through the menu given to us by the lovely Manuela. She along with all the staff were a real credit to the industry. This on a Sunday is a three course menu with a very good selection of starters , mains (including a Sunday Roast) and desserts. If you so wish there’s an opportunity to have a wine pairing with each course. This in the end was what we decided to choose. We started with some bread before moving on to the starters.

STARTERS - To begin I enjoyed one of the best terrines to date. The Pressed Terrine of truffled corn fed chicken with chanterelle aioli and a cheddar brioche was amazing. My wife opted for the Roast Orkney Scallop with sea herbs and a lytham shrimps bearnaise and where the look on her face was enough to tell me how good it was. These dishes were perfectly paired with two fabulous wines. For the scallop a 2018 Grace Madeline from Cullen Wines in Australia and for the terrine a delightfully light and fruity Schaller French Pinot Noir.

Before we moved on to our main course we were in for a really nice surprise as from the kitchen came a complimentary additional course of a Coronation Crab Salad with a curry and lime sabayon which was beautiful. There was even an extra pairing to accompany this dish a 2014 Domaine de Chevalier. This was a fabulous gesture from the team and when we spoke to manager Daniel we asked if he could pass on our thanks to the kitchen.

MAINS - Well if our starters and our extra treat were a delight what was to follow was pure indulgence. My wife chose the Rhug Estate Lamb with roast aubergine stuffed lamb belly , natural yoghurt , spiced lamb and coriander dressing. For myself I went for the Beef Wellington with caramelised roscoff onion , tunworth cheese potatoes , pale ale and honey which was absolutely fantastic. Another two excellent wines were to accompany each dish. The lamb was paired with a 2017 Henschke Barossa and the beef a Torcicoda Primitivo 2020 full of black fruits and chocolate.

DESSERTS - After a nice little break it was time for desserts. My wife though decided to opt for the supplemented Cheese Course where you were able to choose five cheeses from a fantastic selection of British and Irish cheeses accompanied of course by a glass of port. For myself I chose the Caramelised Brioche Pudding with burnt orange purée and buttermilk ice cream and a real delight it was to. This was paired perfectly with a 2017 Jurancon.

We finished with coffee and petit fours to bring to an end an absolutely fabulous afternoon. The food was excellent , the wine pairings were perfectly matched , the staff are so friendly and professional and all this in a stunning location. This is definitely a place I would highly recommend and will certainly not be leaving it very long before I return myself.

The menu on a Sunday is priced at Three Courses for £75 and the Wine Pairings are Three Glasses for £55 and when you consider the quality of produce and the location I easily consider this to be of great value.

Thank You Daniel , Manuela , Shay , Diego , Zilbe for your amazing hospitality and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Elegant and refined. A nice boutique restaurant away from the crowds. Very friendly and professional service. The pasta dishes were exceptional. The ch. d’Yquem on the dessert menu was a real treat. Definitely on the list for a return visit.
Review is for Sunday roast, my first ever. What I was served was good, though for the price I probably should have tried the a la carte menu which may have been more interesting. The chicken and potatoes and veg were all perfectly fine, but nothing to get super excited about. Well executed but a bit soulless. Only realized afterwards that I wasn’t provided Yorkshire pudding, which is listed on the menu and my receipt, and I hear an essential part of a Sunday roast. And when paying 30 pounds for a glass of wine, it feels a bit like being nickel and dimed to be charged a 2 pound “cover charge” and for the carafe of water.
Simply the best! We wanted a special night out and the Goring exceeded our expectations. Antoine and james were amazing along with all the rest of the wonderful staff..
Definitely a treat! Service and food was impeccable.

This was my first time going to Ivy.

Me and my friend started with 45 minutes of waiting which was reasonable as it was Friday evening. We stayed in at the bar for a drink until we have our table.

I had one of the best cocktails ever😍 The bartender made a special cocktail based on what we loved. 🥂

After being seated, the waitress getting order from us, made mistake. I said Shepherds pie and my friend ordered Tartar steak. But when she was repeating the order , she said Fish cake which I mentioned that she is wrong. 😬

As a starter we ordered a creamy spinach which was not creamy at all.👎🏻 and it was not warm ❄️ They brought us another one. but the taste wasn't the thing that i expected.

For the main course, again I was served the wrong food! Fish cake which I am allergic to it😐 And We didn't know that the Tartar steak is a raw meat and they didn't mention!🤢
They tried to change boths foods but we were so hungry and unsatisfied.

After a long time, we had a burger 🍔 instead of Tartar steak and the Shepherds pie.
The quality and the taste and heat was great 👍🏻🥰😍

In the middle of the dinner, I dropped my cocktail, and they didn't bring a new one which i think it's not professional as it was almost new. and I was expecting for a new one as I couldn't have it completely.

The welcoming staff were really nice!🥰

If the waitress didn't make mistake I would have written a better review.

We had a superb Sunday lunch at Galvin La Chapelle. The restaurant is situated in a fantastically renovated church with high ceilings and great charm. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and we were well looked after throughout. We went for the Prix Fixe menu with the accompanying wine which was well worth the money. The food was clever, neatly presented and super tasty. This was an impressive restaurant and one we'd happy go back to
First time to the restaurant and heard great things - we ordered two Sirloin beef 400g, croquettes, scallops and the potatoes. Personally think the beef texture could be better and would have liked to pair with another kind of sauce e.g. peppercorn sauce. The service, drinks, starters and sides are nice though 👍🏻 might be better to just order one beef and enjoy a variety of mains. A bit pricey but a nice dining experience overall.
Had a great evening in the restaurant.

The layout of the restaurant is spacious, grand, and comfortable. Think it gave us a very relaxing vibe for a wonderful family and celebration occasion.

Great choices from the set menu and the team is very attentive and knowledgeable. Think it really enhanced our experience of the evening.

Good food quality and I left feeling satisfied and yet not too full from a three course meal.

Poor service and some staff have an attitude.

Felt judged by a particular member of staff who appeared to decide if you get the table type request or not. Some staff very friendly and attentive by so unprofessional when they almost argue between each other in front of customers. One waiter even slammed the door to outside after having a disagreement.

Food was good but you can also get much better elsewhere for the same price or cheaper.

It is very busy and cramped inside, my chair kept on being bashed by staff walking past. Tables are very close and inside is really rather loud and packed.

Wine we ordered was warm and after saying at the start of the meal nothing was done so got it removed from the bill as we simply didn’t drink it.

****Update**** I got a response to my review so emailed as suggested. 2 months later no response so just feels like an empty token gesture but the reality is they don’t care.

Other tables around us got the wrong food which they didn’t order, whilst another waited an hour for a cocktail.

Feels like they are living off the name and are happy because people come through the door. Wouldn’t go back as there are more than enough choices in London.

Lacking service from our main waiter, which we later changed, but superb food.
We had an early Saturday night dinner. Loved the Sourdough - one of the best ones we had! Ordered the chicken pie, which was excellent and the burger was quite good as well, although only offered as medium well as a minimum. Slow roasted lamb was also a success. The desserts were amazing, in particular the chocolate cake.
Would come back again.
I just experienced possibly the best restaurant service ever. From doorman to reception, waiter to coat check. Such an immense credit to the place. Food was impeccable too!
We had the Sunday roast which is impeccable. Also the slow cooked beef pasta is absolutely amazing (one of the best pastas I have had). The service was brilliant and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely highly recommend

Almlst 4.5 for me. Almost everything tastes good, but I had higher expectations because of all the ratings and recommendations. And the greasy smell toward the middle of the experience is really distracting..

Sicilian Blood Orange & Fennel Soda is citrusy and subtly sweet. It tastes better when the gas is still there.

The green chicken soup that looks like matcha is a light and appetizing start.

The cold sourdough, however, is a let down.

Snacks: The smoked ricotta bite tastes really good, crispy, melting, gooey, and warm. The classic buttermilk fried chicken is fantastic. Covered in crunchy batter and dill salt, the chicken is very juicy. Beetroot apple gazpacho is less memorable.

Smoked trout with almond brown butter, buttermilk. Love the brown butter and toasted almond. The trout doesn’t taste smoked but is tender and juicy. The caviar from Paris is mellow and melts in mouth. + Sparrow’s tongue (smells sweet and aromatic taste refreshing).

The monkfish is perfectly cooked, plump and slightly springy, not dried out at all. The texture resembles seared scallop. The crispy fish skin and whelp add layers to the texture. + Yame Genmai 八女玄米茶 (toasted rice).

The slow roast lamb is probably the rawest lamb cutlet I’ve head. It is easy to cut and eat nonetheless. The skin is crispy. The warm Italian sauce of anchovy and garlic tastes very nice.+ oolong pipacha 烏龍枇杷茶 (beautiful floral notes).

Grilled HABANERO Granita is quite a nice surprise. The chili-flavored ice is really interesting. The plum sorbet is tastes more like Chinese dark plum than the regular plum fruit here and is very refreshing. The sheep’s milk yoghurt is creamy. Its unique flavor helps to bring the spiciness and fruitiness together. Regular cow milk yoghurt won’t be able to do this. (☆_☆)

Apple tarte tartin has a just right amount of sweetness, though I’d prefer the crust to be less soggy and more crunchy. Enjoyed watching it being cut with a scissor. It was a little difficult to eat only with a spoon and a folk though. A knife would be really helpful. The solid dollop of crème m is too heavy for me. An ice cream or gelato or something even lighter would be more fitting. + white poeny tea

The finishing small bites are alright. Not too sweet or heavy, but not quite special either. One citrusy, one with chili, one with some alcohol taste.

We all liked the macaron-sized mini celebration chocolate mousse cake.

(P.s. would appreciate some more vegetables in the menu for a balanced diet :)

Tea pairing is an interesting idea. The value is debatable.

The service is considerate, friendly and attentive, offering many surprises for my friends’ special occasion. The environment is a bit noisy so some part of the food intro is missed.

From around 8:30 pm, a strong smell of oil cooked in high temperature comes out from the open kitchen from time to time. As some reviews noted, the ventilation should be improved. I am also worried about the staff’s health.
So very good. An exceptionally good place, great value. Michelin-standard food, really clever combinations of taste and texture so you'll even trust them to try the olive oil ice-cream for dessert (it was amazing). The waiter was clearly interested in doing his job well. The dining room was charming. We will definitely go back.
I enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal here at the Michelin-starred restaurant.

The crab, lobster and caviar starter was delicious and light. The main of beef Wellington was perfectly cooked and cut at the table. It was absolutely amazing!

The chocolate and mango dessert was beautiful!

It was a great dining experience although the room lacked atmosphere as it was very quiet and no music was playing.

I wasn't bothered about that and would highly recommend it!

Service was outstanding and did not disappoint for a 2 Michelin star restaurant. Tasting menu was more than enough portion-wise. Some dishes better than others. The duck broth as an extra dish was a bit disappointing for the price. Overall the venue was cozy and the ambience was calm and nice.
Super attentive and kind people with a very relaxed atmosphere. Foods are served in the exact pace as you eat them so there’s no significant delay at all.

Dishes were boasting various techniques and origins of culture, and they were plated with excellence. Taste was also superb where you can feel the fresh ingredients used.

This is a hidden gem. Went there for my birthday.

The place is for special occasions and it is not on the cheap side but hear me out.

It does not have a sophisticated interior, I would even dare to say it is very modest, so this is definitely not a selling point but once you start the chat with the waitress or you see the first dish, you forget about the walls or anything that is around you really 😅

So we had a 10 course tasting menu. The food was sophisticated, in addition it was paired with special wine, so we ended up trying a few types of wine and I think that is the moment I really felt how much of a difference it makes to choose the right wine for the right dish (or the other way around 😅).

Even though I am not much of a wine lover or that kind of sophisticated food, I enjoyed the experience very much.

And now, nothing remains for me to say but to post a few photos so that you can see what I mean 😅

Amazing experience! Really liked my server’s recommendations! He’s very knowledgeable and attentive. Sorry I forgot his name (Young gentleman with a bit of French accent?) The second server however didn’t really mention much about the drink he recommended to me. I didn’t know there’s a strong coffee flavor which I didn’t really enjoy. But overall a fantastic experience here:) loved every moment!

An amazing British experience. The staff was very lovely and explained every dish that came out. They used all locally sourced produce and the meal was excellent. It was a little quieter when we went mid afternoon, so it felt like he had a private experience. The aesthetic of the restaurant matched the food in that it was clean and beautiful with a scandi feel.

Decor rather old style (unlike beautiful garden restaurant where fantastic tea is served) but service is impeccable and food really excellent - the gravy for the Sunday roast took three days to prepare and one can really taste it! The vegetables were all not great but a beautiful Bordeaux was recommended by Sommelière, the risotto starter was super - all really special

We had the lunch Tasting Menu and everything was so delicate and delicious. I think it is extremely difficult to use simple ingredients and make something divine but the chef clearly prioritized the quality and the flavors are there. It was so hard to select a favorite dish because they are all unique but the cauliflower with apple and cream was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed the dessert too, feeling like kids again & playing at breaking the top. The staff was very welcoming, took time to explain the dishes and super friendly. We also very much loved the atmosphere (very intimate and good light) and music (we wished we could have saved some of them - these and probably bringing one of their bottle of wines home).

Had the 5 course tasting lunch - was a fantastic experience. Service was top notch, food was excellent.

The fish especially deserves a special mention. The meat was firm and tender, the skin was crisp throughout. I don’t take red meat and the kitchen was very kind to switch it to a vegetarian dish for me instead.
