Interesting and fun atmosphere with Interesting and delicious drinks and food. Stays open until 3 pm which is rare and terrific for me and my friends. Parking is difficult but worth it. If you are disabled, the last door near the street corner is the best to use. Seems like the managers aren't very nice and charge you for extras like dips without telling you in advance. Also the managers try to be sure your bill is as high as possible so reflect that in the tip and give them a small tip instead of nothing. The waiters are hospitable and bend over backwards to make it a fun experience so they deserve their tips. One negative comment is that they may be slow to see you and recognize that you need a waiter when you arrive Otherwise, enjoy your Interesting food and drinks. A suggestion is to have live entertainment

This place was amazing, we only popped in for a drink while waiting for a wedding tasting menu across the street. But, wow, what a great place.

Very nice spot for lunch today. The beer and food menu is extensive. The inside decor also was very unique. Our server was great and attentive. They also have an outdoor patio. We went early after noon so it was pretty empty and street parking was easy.

This place is FANTASTIC!! Our server was hilarious (I feel bad I forgot her name) but she went above and beyond with answering our questions and was pretty quick witted and made us laugh!

The atmosphere and decor is really impressive and I 100% recommend taking the tour! Our server told us we should do it since we were asking about it! They have a private bar down stairs and an old speakeasy style secret room with tons of Belgian ales around! Oh and did I mention the walls are covered with pennies? Over 1 million pennies! 😂🤣

Also the food and drinks were top notch as well! Definitely check this place out if you are in town!

I had my large breed doy with me on April 2nd, 2024 and we sat on the patio, it was perfect! The service was excellent! They even gave my dog a bowl of water and a plate of chicken and rice! The staff were all super friendly and accommodating! The food was great, large portions and just a fun experience 😋

So many cool options on the menu , we had the Mushroom 🍄 dip so tasty , the Cheese steak was large a good amount of meat & I got the Queso chs !!

Enough cannot be said about this cannot-miss place in Jacksonville.
Located in a historic area, this gastro pub fits the name. The amount of interesting decor will keep an enthusiast busy for hours. The food? Wow. There are some wild choices on the menu, and some familiar typical bar type foods. Our choices tonight were "The Mocking Bird" and the "Jymmiechanga"
We started with their poutine, with shaved ribeye.
The poutine was the best we have ever tried. Cheese throughout the entire bed, the gravy was likely the richest tasting we have had. The ribeye shavings, a perfect compliment.
The Jymmiechanga, loaded with chicken, worth the weight in that alone. We ordered the topings on the side, knowing most of it would come home. We included the menue description in the pics.
The Mockingbird Burger? Hands down, 1 of my top 5 burgers ever tasted. I had reservations with the pickled tomato, but it complimented so well with the datil pepper relish, beer cheese, and of course, the bacon. It was a flavor party, each perfect bite, unique in experience. Perfectly cooked.
Of course the beer selection, on point, a healthy selection of mixed drinks... you cannot go wrong here.
Be prepared to wait on busy nights, parking is always a challenge in thus area, consider ride share services, secure your belongings, as it can be unsavory late night sometimes.

Bistro A/X what happened to you? Ambience remains beautiful, but the food? It has been several years since our last visit and we have no plans to return anytime soon. The steak frites had a grayish re-heated looking meat covered in an overly salty brown sauce. The French onion soup was best in town--but now is just plain blah. The lobster ravioli was flavorless and the red sauce was too acidic. Service was just ok as well. Not sure if new management in the recent years, but really need to look at the food coming out of the kitchen.

I have been eating at Al’s for years! Both reserve and pick up. The food is phenomenal! The atmosphere used to match. While the food is good I am hesitant to spend any time or money with the company because of rude, jaded servers. No matter how patient you are with them they still display their attitude and distaste for the job. I’ve heard them verbally complaining about their boss as well. Such a distasteful group of servers for what used to be an outstanding restaurant.

The food is delicious! I am giving them a 5 star only because the hot food and service was good. We enjoyed the Chicago styled pizza, the spaghetti, and the Garlic rolls!!! We were not impressed with the dessert. We are talking about the cheese cake in particular. It did not taste like cheese cake. It tasted like cream cheese without the additional ingredients that was put into the shape of a cheese cake with crust that did not taste good either. We tried one other cake but was still not to our liking.
The server was pleasant.

We arrived at 7:05. Server didn’t show at our table until 7:25. The hostess had to go remind him twice. When he finally did come, he had trash in his hands and said, “Is there something you want?” He didn’t introduce himself so I don’t know his name. Once he delivered our food, we didn’t see him again. The hostess got the check for us and cashed us out. Thank goodness for her. We saw our waiter 2 times in over an hour. When he took our orders and brought our food. The food was cold. The cheese on my pizza wasn’t melted and the dough was soft and toppings slid right off. My wife’s lobster ravioli was cold and had no flavor. We would have told our waiter but he never showed up and asked us how it was. Never asked if we wanted drinks, never asked how we were doing, no follow up. Worst service we’ve ever had. We won’t be back. Avoid this restaurant. Not worth the money.

My wife and I visited Josephine along with 6 other couple for a friends birthday. Our experience was great. I started with the “Pizza Rolls” (I’d call them Italian Spring Rolls) and they were absolutely amazing. You get 4 pieces on the order. My wife started with the House Olives. I had Chicken Cacciatore for my meal and it was phenomenal. My wife had the Pinwheel Lasagna and it was really good but we both liked my Chicken Cacciatore better. For dessert I had an Affogato and I must say they have superb espresso. Our waitress was really good, especially given the fact we had 14 people in our party. The establishment was clean, friendly staff, and a very relaxing mood. We will definitely visit again. Just be sure to show up early because parking is extremely difficult. Took us about 20 minutes to find a spot to park. Sorry for the bad quality photos!

We had a great experience here on 1/20. Jack was our bartender and he was very knowledgeable and engaged. He made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant! The happy hour specials were awesome and we loved the appetizers! Highly recommend.

Girls night out to celebrate the holidays and we met at the newly renovated Bar. Wonderful drinks crafted by Noah. He was very attentive and made our evening! What a fun guy! We had caprese salad, calamari, margarita pizza and mushroom pizza. All wonderful. Atmosphere was fun with music but not too loud so we could hear each other. A huge plus! Most bars are too loud! Wish I had photos of food/drinks to share but was having so much fun didn’t take any. We will be returning! Best kept secret.

Great time trying different beers and sharing food. Krystle the manager made sure we enjoyed our beers and food. Missed matched flatware made it a home feel. Loved the pennies on the walls along with the beer tappers on the ceiling. Wheelchair accessible. Pets allowed in outside dining.

Ok the ambience is great, but the food is just okay. The appetizers are very small. Do not get the lamb with mint it was disgusting. The white lasagna and steak strips were really good. We did send three plates back due to undone noodles. It’s a cute little spot but it’s not worth the hype in my opinion. Looks can be deceiving.

My husband and I came here for the first time a few days ago. We ordered the antipasta salad and two pizzas. The antipasta tasted good, but PLEASE chop up the toppings for the customers instead of throwing the meat and cheese on top of the lettuce. It was very hard to cut it up with a butter knife and took time to do so. I ended up asking the server for a steak knife. Toppings should be cut up in an antipasta salad and distributed throughout the salad, not slapped on top and uncut - so that was very annoying.
The pizza was decent.

Food was great! Is a quaint little restaurant. Went on a weekday and not too busy, and will be returning!! I ordered the Chicken Picatta minus a few things as I'm a picky eater, and they were able to accommodate!!

Standout dishes:

The highlights include the Sourdough Focaccia with parmigiano butter and the Pinwheel Lasagna. Both were excellent - I'd absolutely make both dishes a staple of your order.

Other dishes we ordered:

The Antipasto was so close to excellent - just far too heavy handed on the dressing for both of us. Maybe ask for less dressing, because the brightness does help balance out the richness of the other dishes. We also had the Grilled Carrots - while good, I'd try a different vegetable next time.

Drinks:

We started with a Rosa Negroni and a La Dolce Vespa. We prefer cocktails on the boozier side and we though both drinks were great. We finished with a Cafe Disco and an Espresso Martini - these were our drink highlights. Too often, restaurants will use a cold brew substitute (instead of actual espresso), or a coffee liquor (Kahlúa - yuck!), or be afraid to add any unqiue spin - if this bugs you, then you'll love their Espresso Martini. It's excellent and full of flavor. At least try one.

Ambiance:

We sat in the initial dining room when you walk in (there may be more seating in the back - not sure). It's a hip ambiance and perfect for a date night or girls night. I'd say they'd benefit from dimming the lights by ~20% and turning the music up by 10%.

Service / Reservation.

Danny was our waiter - he was super attentive and helpful. We made a reservation on Thursday for Friday night dinner and had no problems getting a table for 2 at 7 PM.

Omg! This is truly incredible place! We ordered pizza- caprese pita bread-tiramisu- banana cake. All incredible! Pizza was thin crust and nicely baked, definitely very close to authentic italian restaurants! Caprese pita bread came with chicken tomato and mozarella- so tasty, full of flavor and filling! Tiramisu was the first one in a restaurant that i did not regret ordering! Definitely authentic! I did not try the banana cake but it disappeared from the plate very quickly so i assume it was great. Overall stop by and try definitely worth it!!

This is our favorite brunch spot in Jacksonville. We have also been here for dinner and the food was excellent too. Today we got the lemon ricotta pancake, the prosciutto Benedict sandwich, and eggs in purgatory. Everything was delicious. I love that everything is made from scratch. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing time !! Went out for a date night with my husband and I was greeted by the manager who was very kind. Our server was a very nice gentleman who was very attentive. 100/10 will eat here over and over again. Get the coconut shrimp !!!!

I recently dined in this Indian restaurant, and I came from Savannah I must say the food was absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich and authentic. The service was top-notch, making the overall experience delightful. Highly recommend!

We always come here with our friends from India. The menu has items from all over India and the food is great. The level of spice is just right and we always get 4 or 5 different plates to share. Everything I have tasted here is great. The mango ice cream is free. I really enjoy this restaurant.

Mariah was out server today and she was one of the best we have had. She said she has worked there for awhile but we never see her. She had a smile and had everything we needed without us having to ask. Will be back to see her

We order take out from here a few times a year. Food is always delicious! The chicken 65 is my favorite with some spicy vegetables fried rice.
My lady enjoys the tomato soup with some Naan bread. Recommend giving it a try!

I had the pleasure of being served by Maria at Outback Steakhouse, and I must say, her customer service was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, she greeted us with a warm and friendly smile. Maria was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided excellent recommendations. She ensured our drinks were always full and that our food arrived promptly. Her pleasant demeanor and willingness to accommodate our requests made the dining experience enjoyable.

I'd never ordered from here before, but it was great! The to-go host, Juliana was awesome and my food came hot and just how I ordered. She even recommended my new favorite salad! An easy 5 stars for Outback steakhouse, thank you for the great experience Juliana!

Honestly my server Mariah was exceptional! She was so sweet and catering to me to ensure I had the best dining experience. She was always on top of making sure my drinks were filled and was always so friendly to me and my family!

It’s the type of place where it looks a lot better than it actually is.The food looks great but underwhelming the best thing was the Josephine’s rigatoni.We we’re really excited about the sourdough focaccia but it didn’t taste like sourdough.And that is the “spring vegetable risotto “ was just peas and garnish of mushrooms, water cress and zucchini?? The eggplant parm was also subpar tasted a lot plain breading.The asparagus was amazing.They def have potential but we were expecting more.

We have been coming here for the last 20 years. Tonight’s service was the best we’ve experienced. Our waiter, PJ am was very courteous and professional. He did an outstanding job. The overall atmosphere around us from the rest of the staff was very pleasant. We look forward to dining with you more in the future. Keep up the great job!

My server, Chris, did an exceptional job welcoming me to Outback Steakhouse and getting all the details of my order correct. He checked back several times and I was very impressed with his service! I ordered the prime rib sandwich with their new (and very delicious) wedge salad. Shoutout to Samantha too, for stopping by my table to chat for minute. Very friendly atmosphere!

The plain was a little on the salty side but looved the thin crust style and the taste! I’ve eaten pies from a few places in Jax and this one reminds me of the ones up north!
Pesto & Shrimp-(Amazing!) Buuut, I do wish the shrimp was chopped smaller and grilled a tiny bit. Pizza was oily from the pesto but you have to expect that. Besides that-the taste was on point!
Ale Pie House did NOT disappoint and can’t wait to order again!

Everything is delicious, perfect, and pretty. Had a hummus app, salsalada, and the sausage pizza. Way too much food for 2 people. We enjoyed every bite. So glad we decided to give it a try on a whim.

AIX Bistro is a phenomenal restaurant offering French Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The presentation of each dish was exquisite, and the service was outstandingly and friendly. While there was a minor hiccup with the Ahi Tuna pieces that were served, the issue was promptly resolved. Everything else on the menu was delectable, including the drinks.

Additionally, AIX Bistro boasts a beautifully decorated bar lounge area in another room located at the rear of the restaurant, adding a touch of class and elegance to the overall experience. If you're in the area, it's definitely a must-try dining destination.

We had a phenomenal dinner here. The food was next level. Shaina our server was extraordinary. She was very knowledgeable about the wine, cocktails, and especially the food. And she was even kind enough to steer us in the right direction for nightlife. Highly recommend!

Sooooo many options. You could eat here everyday for a year and still not try everything. Super friendly wait staff, good prices and big portions. Can't wait to go back.

I stopped into the downtown location last Thursday and had a blast hanging out with the locals and having excellent beer. The bartender was fun and engaging and it was one of my favorite brewery tap room experiences (out of hundreds). This place is worth a stop if you find yourself thirsty in Jacksonville.

Amazing authentic Lebanese food just like in Lebanon from North to South! We have been going there constantly. They also have a grocery shop right next to it where we buy their frozen meals which are delicious too! Highly recommend! I added a photo of our Shawerma made the Lebanese way, not regular way.

The bruschetta is THE BEST!!! Great service, too. The building is old, but it's clean.

Today, I am changing my ratings from all 5 stars across the board to 2's and 3's...overall 2
I'm not sure what's going on but the food was not good at all. However, I was able to take some pretty pictures of it 🙄 We had bruschetta. It was our favorite here... not anymore. The tomatoes were a bit soggy, and the bread wasn't toasted all the way. We also ordered a medium pineapple pepperoni and sausage pizza. The toppings tasted freezer burned. The pineapples were extremely soft, and the pizza was not hot. Though our server was nice, she was the only one working the floor and handling the telephone orders (on her day off...that's what she told another customer) while the young man that was there wiped down the bar several times (no one was sitting there) He did bring us the bruschetta but that was it. We will most likely take a break from this spot. So disappointing.

Being from that part of the world, I like to think I know a thing or two about the food. Everything I know was tossed out when I tasted the food here. The staff was very welcoming but it didn’t help with the entire experience. We ordered various things, bullet chicken, chicken lollipop, dal tadka, a lamb dish, another chicken item, naan, lassi and a few chais.
Chicken lollipop, a dry item, was exceptional. Can’t say the same about bullet chicken and the other chicken/lamb item. In fact, the lamb item was so horrible, we didn’t even finish it. Dal by far was the best out of everything. Even the naan were dry and unbuttered. Even though we asked for it. The lassi was TOO sweet. We didn’t try the free mango ice cream but from the looks of it, I’m sure it was decent.
Don’t recommend this as there are other good restaurants in the area.

Ale Pie House has continuously delivered phenomenal food to us. I am completely intrigued by the chill, authentic European vibe. You can have conversations with your people while still enjoying the food. The food! The food! It is consistently Fantastic during the week, weekend, lunch, dinner or holiday. Way to go Ale Pie House, you keep me coming back. 🥂!

Hubby bought this beer from Daily's place gas station, thinking it was Miller Lite (our go-to beer). Which i would have totally thought as well that our local nfl team was teaming up with Miller Lite (umm, can u do that Jags!!!). Im not mad at this beer. However, it is more of a sour light beer, I'd say. It's not as easy drinking as Miller Lite but good.

The food quality was absolutely awful in this restaurant. Ordered mix grill and lamb kabob. Rice was uncooked and tasted weird, there was something like rose water in it which was really odd. Lamb was tasteless. Chicken was just cooked with no marination. Kabob was like a solid rock. How does these restaurants have good ratings I wonder. So disappointing that ratings can’t be trusted. I came back home a my stomach was so uncomfortable and I threw up everything I ate there 🤮🥴

This Indian restaurant was something I truly enjoyed. The food was absolutely flavourful.
We ordered multiple dishes amongst the 4 of us and neither of the dishes failed to meet expectations.
The ambience although nostalgic could definitely use upgrade but the food was delishious.
You can choose various spice levels and that's good for certain people but the food that I ordered was something although on the spicier side (I chose level 4) it didn't over power the taste.

The waitors were friendly and I was glad that they were willing to check up on us every so often with their wonderful smiles.

Overall absolutely wonderful. Good service, good food, want to come back to check out other items on the menu.

Truly felt like it was food from maa home. 😊

Really cool place I would go to more often if I lived closer. The food is delicious and healthy. The service is fantastic and the servers are amazing. It's a really neat place with plenty of seating and you can even get a hookah (in a separate room or on the patio)

I went there for a Friday lunch buffet once. The server was very attentive. They have many different dishes to choose from, fresh and tasty. It is not your typical all your can eat buffet quality. It is high quality. The rice pudding as a dessert is very delicious. I am glad that I tried this for at least once. It a very valued lunch buffet. I believe that they don’t have dinner buffet.

Went to Beirut for my birthday lunch wit a couple of friends. I ordered the Chicken Sharwama platter with rice, it was so good! The servers must have heard me thank my friends for the great birthday cause all of a sudden the music got real loud and I saw the server coming my way with a plate with a candle. It was the most wonderful dessert! We all clapped along with the song which turned out to be a birthday song! That just made my day! I highly recommend this restaurant for their great food and wonderful service! Thank you so much!

I would say that Bistro Aix has one of the best happy hours in Jax right now. The cocktails and a selected number of appetizers are all $7. Everything is fantastic! If you sit at the bar or anywhere in the back room you are going to have great service. Tom and Taylor are the bartenders I have the most experience with and they are the BEST. I stopped in one time on a whim after not going for years. Now I stop in almost once a week. The mussels are my favorite but the wood fired margherita pizza is yummy as well.

Used to be great. Now a days when we order biriyani, they just give chicken 65 tossed with white rice and give as biriyani without dum rice (exp: today). They miss egg in biriyani’s most of the time. They either give box full or around 1/2 box and call it full.
My suggestion would be don’t take any more orders when you don’t have items to make full orders. We aren’t interested in your new recipes(which is bad & less quantity BDW). In my picture if you could see, it’s clearly chicken 65 appetizer with basmati rice on top with onion, lemon & coriander leaves(please call it chicken 65 rice instead of biriyani). That’s not the biriyani i usually get. Please don’t lose your worth by trying to make money.

I have always love Indian food. Just ordered some Indian food through Uber eats today. Their service was pretty on time. The food came to my door still warm. I ordered boneless chicken biryani. It’s a little spicy but the taste is there. The chicken lollipop though it taste good only have 5 pieces. Not enough. I also ordered shrimp bahar came with 2 pieces of roti. I think the taste is alright. Not spicy. Mango lassi is always good. Overall I gave their food 4 stars.

Went for full service, appetizers, dinner, dessert. We were there for 3 hours!!!!!!!! Service time was terrible. Chicken was so dry it was disgusting. Ground beef kabobs were burnt and dry. Time between appetizers and main course was about 1h of literally nothing happening. Chairs were so uncomfortable multiple people in our party had feet going numb and we all had issues after we left. I wish there was a 0 star option because it's what they deserve for such terrible service.

Maa's is quickly becoming one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Jacksonville. Very friendly staff and delicious food. So far, I loved everything I've eaten here.

The food is always amazing here. This is the first time we had the lunch buffet and it was nice to have the extra variety in one meal, without sacrificing any quality (food comes out in small batches so it's fresh every few minutes but there's no wait). Price is a little high compared to some other lunch alternatives, but not for the quality of the food you get here.

The atmosphere is Mediterranean (Lebanese). I have been there only once, we left early because there was a graduation party and it was noisy. The tea was good tho.

Fun easy time among distillery silos. There’s a small but very good restaurant inside (Matteo’s), and a separate cooled bar for the hot days. Friendly staff also.

I recently visited and had a highly disappointing experience with their gyro. The gyro meat was shockingly flavorless, leaving me utterly unimpressed. It was clear to me that the meat didn't come from a spit as expected but rather seemed like pre-packaged meat, lacking the authentic taste and texture that a good gyro should have. The service was far from satisfactory. The server (Bob Ross lookalike) appeared impatient and seemed uninterested in providing a pleasant experience for a first time customer. It's disheartening when the service doesn't match the restaurant's reputation or the price you pay for the meal. Honestly, I've had a better gyro at Arby's. At least there, the meat is consistently flavorful and juicy. Mandaloun needs to seriously reconsider their gyro recipe and improve their quality control. My visit left a lot to be desired. I won't be returning. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're craving a delicious, authentic gyro experience.

Our server, Serena, was so helpful and in general super great! Our appetizers were tasty, the Tartines were yummy but the bread was really crunchy, the crispy calamari and shrimp was the best part! Super tasty and everything went well together, the little salad on the side was kind of strange though for the looks I can understand it. Our steak frites was okay, the steak and green beans NEEDED salt, it was kind of sweet and the steak was cooked nicely, and the frites were a great texture.

Really nice lunch for my first time. I've been hearing the raves for years. It almost lived up to the hype. The service and dessert were killer. The main course was "cool". A great place to try out.

I absolutely loved it, Teressa was our waiter and she was good at checking on us and timing, she was also so sweet to our 6 month old. Definitely coming back we loved it and the dessert was amazing!💙

It's very filling and tastes good. The mango lassie is so yummy. Got it delivered but can't say much about the dine in experience. The butter chicken is very rich. Good for dipping roti or nan. You'll get full even if you split it with a friend. Ordered from here before and I will be ordering again in the future.

Food 5, cleanliness 1. The food was great! I got the goat pepper fry, Indian hot. The spice and flavor were perfect. The rice was fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. The restaurant was not clean and the restroom was very dirty. There was no way to dry hands in the men's room. Paper towels were spent and the electric dryer did not work.

I went on Sunday and there wasn’t lunch buffet. However, the lunch menu is like a mini buffet. It comes with multiple dishes including an appetizer and a dessert. Food was very good. I liked goat curry better than the lamb one. Lamb meat was a bit dry and flavorless inside. If you love spicy food, this is the right choice for you. My kid enjoyed Egg Dosa.

We ordered chicken lollipops, Apollo fish , mango lassi, cut mirchi , I am a South Indian and I need my food to be spicy. Chicken lollipops was saucy which I hate the most , even chicken is not fresh as of my assumption, Apollo fish is good .. it’s saucy too but tastes tender , mango lassi is good as well , Cut mirchi felt a bit dry but tastes good. So if you are a South Indian you might not like some dishes here ..

My husband introduced me to Indian Food at 5th Element almost 6 years ago and I have loved it ever since. The food is high quality and the serving sizes are huge. And the complimentary soft serve mango ice cream is a perfect way to have a little something sweet after your meal.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat down. We went during lunch hour so we were asked if we wanted the buffet or menus. We opted for menus and I got the lunch special with kafta, baba gannouj, tabbouleh. My husband ordered kafta with the veggies and rice. The flavors were out of this wolrd. The kaftas were so juicy and tender. The baba gannouj had a sweet, savory smokey flavor and the pomegranate seeds added a burst of fresh fruity flavor. We also got Kebbe and it came with fresh taziki sauce. They gave us a basket of soft fresh pita bread with a side of seasoned sesame oil to dip it in (I really don't know the name of it but it was so good). I was really full and couldn't finish all my food but I made sure my husband didn't finish my plate because I wanted it for later. All around great service. Delicious food. Staff was super friendly and attentive and we will definitely be coming back.

Pretty good and authentic Lebanese restaurant. Food was all around tasty. They have an outdoor seating area that allows for smoking hookah and eating. Interior designs are clean and attractive. Service was attentive and friendly. Our party ordered the Moujadara, Sijouk, Kefte Mishwe platter, Moussaka and Chicken Mishwe platter. The Moussaka could've been better enjoyed with rice or some sort of starch, as the dish was minimal. The lamb kebabs were very tender and flavorful. Veggies also were perfectly cooked. The tiramisu was delicious, but was not made in house. Originally wanted the Jebnah dessert but it took too long to make. Prices are a little higher than I'd like. Glad the menu wasn’t the bare boned Mediterranean spread, it was closer to what you'd eat at a Lebanese household. We left just in time as a belly dancer presentation came up, wife was happy to get me outta there😂.

Our son visited here and recommended we try it. Food was good. As an appetizer we had paneer pakira. For dinner my wife had the chicken maharani and garlic naan. I had the Hyderabadi Dum ka Murg with naan. Good portions and very tasty.

the massive grape leaves, the perfect hummus, light and delicious, to my surprise the lamb tongue marinated in lemon and garlic was unanimous, the fried kibe crispy on the outside and stuffed in the right way with the right seasonings was perfect.
I'm always afraid to order raw kibe in restaurants, not just for the meat but more for the seasoning and texture, and again I was surprised, with the authenticity of the dish, it was soft, seasoned and red, I can say perfect. for those who have roots in the East and are looking for real Lebanese cuisine, this is the right place congratulations to the chef and the kitchen team, only the service was a little slow, relevant I recommend it..

My first time here and it was AMAZING! A hidden gem tucked away in a plaza off of Baymeadows. Every bite was so so good. Service was good. The owner Pierre came over to make sure we enjoyed our meal which was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing Middle Eastern restaurant! I can't say enough great things about this place! My mom and I eat here all the time and the food is never boring or unexciting, as well as the friendliness of the staff! Food is made fresh to order, the way it should be. You can taste the freshness as well as the many amazing flavors. I have lived in Israel and this place rivals the food (especially the hummus!)

Good food and friendly staff. Interior was clean and warm. The chai tea was smooth and had a nice flavor. The curries we're freshly made and had a good amount of spice. The lamb curry was aromatic and the meat was nice and tender. The paneer was creamy. The naan was fluffy and very tasty. The paneer naan is a must try. Nice a d rich flavor.

This was our first time coming to this restaurant and everyone was so welcoming and so kind. Great spot to do hookah and drink black tea ☕️ Good music and is very relaxing. Overall, great customer service. Big shoutout to Esla, she is very kind, and very helpful with helping us decide what to choose from the menu. Hadeel is also very sweet & outgoing. If you have a sweet tooth, do try the Znoud el sit (picture down below).

Okay the food is really amazing. The beer was awesome. We had a flight and the bartender made good choices.

BUT. And this is a BIG BUT.

When the bartender refilled drinks, she took the cups from the patrons and refilled them. That had to be some sort of ServeSafe violation.

Today was our first time there. Everything was so good, so fresh and the service was fantastic! We met the owner and she couldn't have been nicer!!! We've already told a friend about this place and plan to spread the word and we'll be back and bring friends whenever possible. 👍🏼👍🏼

We tried several different things and found everything to be excellent! The rolled grape leaves were the best I have had in a number of years. The hummus was very smooth and creamy. Service was excellent. Will be returning there often!

Overview: By far, for me, Dukes is my number one beer of choice. I have been coming to this brewery off and on for years. The staff is the best. The people who come to brink a few beers are very down to earth. Live music-worthy amount of beer selection makes for a good evening. What to know: There is a food vendor on site—your basic foods. You have your typical on-tap beers that I call Bold City's signature beers. You can get wine and some other options to drink. They have outside seating, inside the brewery seating equipped with a bar, and a small closed-door seating bar section. This is where you will find the bathrooms and games. Pet friendly, and I see kids running about learning what a great brewery atmosphere must be like. It is in the riverside area; it's all good....right? Parking is not so bad. You can park just across the street if need be. When there are special events, it can get a bit crazy, but most of the time, it's all just sitting back and enjoying the evening. Cheers....

While visiting Jacksonville, we decided to go to Bistro Aix for a birthday celebration. The menu looked very good and it had high ratings based on a fairly large number of reviews.

Parking was not a problem. We were having a late lunch and there was parking on the street near the restaurant.

As we had hoped, the late time for lunch (l:45) meant the restaurant was not very crowded. The restaurant was still open and we were quickly greeted and sat in a comfortable booth.

The dinner menu is more extensive than the luncheon menu. That is not unusual but, as luck would have it, not everything on the luncheon menu was available either.

The crab cakes ordered as an appetizer were small but there were three of them and they were very good. The sweet potato soup was the soup of the day. Two of us ordered that and it was outstanding—smooth, creamy and with a delightful flavor.

The short ribs were on the menu and sounded excellent and the server recommended the dish. Unfortunately, that dish was not available. I opted for the steak frites. It was accompanied by haricot vert (green beans and french fries).

The steak was cooked medium rare, as ordered, and was tender and flavorful. The beans were still crunchy, not boiled to ruin the natural flavor and texture) and the fries were a little too salty but tasted very good and cooked perfectly.

My two dining companions ordered the snapper fish special which was accompanied by asparagus and brussel sprouts. The first order of fish was very salty and the person who ordered it does not care for food that is heavily salted. Our server, Marina, was very accomodating and ordered another snapper dish as a replacement. It was not salted and cooked perfectly. The other diner was not as sensitive to salty food and enjoyed the snapper and the side dishes very much.

For dessert I selected a berry almondine with vanilla ice cream that was to be served warm. As it turned out, that dish was no longer available as it had sold out. I opted for the tuxedo chocolate cake which was outstanding and had a beautiful presentation. (See the accompanying photo.)

It was delicious and, as the name implies, had a strong chocolate flavor with whipped cream and strawberries on the side. All three of us enjoyed the cake and it was quickly consumed. Moreover, as I had noted on the reservation that this was a birthday celebration, there was no charge for the birthday cake dessert.

There is an extensive wine list by the bottle. As is usually the case, the "by the glass" list of options is considerably more restricted. There is still a good variety of wine available by the glass. I deferred a bottle as driving through Jacksonville traffic can be a challenge and settled for one excellent glass of cabernet to accompany the steak frites.

Our server was very good and made sure everything was taken care of. Marina was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and her attention to detail made the occasion more enjoyable.

Bistro Aix was an enjoyable experience and worth a visit. I would prefer the more elaborate menu for the evening meal but the items we selected were delicious. The biggest disappointment, which was quickly remedied, was the heavily salted fish entree which is somewhat unusual for a high end restaurant. All of the selections were well prepared, flavorful, and contributed to a happy birthday family celebration.

The food was superb, the service was outstanding until they charged my card twice, very bizarre the way it was done. Won’t get it back for a few days.

Of a school lunchroom, and there is nothing on the walls or anywhere that brings in Beirut. If I eat at a place like this I expect something other than Samuel Adams on the wall.
If you get a hookah you will be ripped off as it will only last for 10 minutes, which is not worth it at that cost as well as the quote Cuban coffee.

delicious Falafel, unique French fries, and delicious hummus. yummy bread.
some suggestions to make the place better than what is now: providing guests with plates, utensils, bread and napkins before bringing food or before they ask for it. and it is nice to provide guests with some complimentary salad or tea :-)

Very delicious food. Fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly. I never personally do the hookah but it looks cool and they appear to have a variety. No full bar just beer and wine. Definitely worth stopping in for Shwarma. The hummus is the best I've had in Jacksonville.

Loved the Lamb here!!! Im usually picky about the way the lamb is made and last night we stopped by before closing and had a quick bite to eat here. I enjoyed the it very much! I was not a fan of the cheese and meat pies. Seemed like they need a little more seasoning. The vegetables were done right not overly cooked. Just perfect. Thank you for a good experience and service.

Food was excellent and there was enough that we had to take some home. The hummus was exceptional. My fries were golden and seasoned correctly.

My Lebanese grandmother used to make food just like this! This is one of our favorite places in town, we visit regularly. It's great for both dinner and lunch. Best falafels in town, I think.
