Hands down the best cichetti in all of Venice! A different flavour in every bite. We were mind blown, as we have done cichetti at several places before on our previous visits to Venice. They also have a huge wine cellar with very competitive prices, so definitely the place to buy a bottle with your cichetti...you won't be disappointed that you did!

This is a little Italian gem, a most visit if you like little lite bits, a mixture with a nice drink of wine, or Aperol Spritz. Great atmosphere lovely setting along the canal.

This is a wine bar in name, but a standout is the cicchetti. You'll find tons of them, all priced at €2 a piece as of October 2023. They're all very very good and a value at that price. They lean heavy into the seafood which makes sense given Venice. All are served in white bread which is a little boring but is customary and does emphasize the flavor of the toppings. The house wine is super cheap and a great complement to the cicchetti. Order the white.
We loved this place. It was recommended by a local and did not disappoint! Cicchetti were fantastic- mix of unusual and surprising yet delicious flavour combinations like cheese and pistachio or tuna and cocoa. The atmosphere is also fantastic.
Was trying to get chichetti, but one of the servers was slightly rude.

Einer der besten Anlaufstellen für Chicchetti in ganz Venedig. Die Auswahl ist groß, es gibt verschiedenste Variationen - meist mit Fleisch oder Fisch. Besonders kann ich die Artischocken und die Chicchetti mit Lachs empfehlen.
In den letzten zwei Jahren war ich mehrfach vor Ort und komme jederzeit wieder, wenn ich in Venedig bin. Allerdings muss ich darauf hinweisen das der Laden abweichende Öffnungszeiten hat und mittags geschlossen war. Daher sollte man sich nicht auf die angegeben Öffnungszeiten verlassen und zu den Stoßzeiten etwas Geduld mitbringen.

The food was pretty good, a little expensive. We got simple breakfast dishes and they tasted great and I am sure the other more complex dishes tasted good as well. There were many options & the coffee was good.

This elegant cafe with a long reputation left us with a poor impression. The first is the unreasonable waiter, there are so many more than a dozen people, but do not know to see the guests have been seated and provide necessary service. We sat awkwardly waiting for more than ten minutes with the other two tables. After I went to find the waiter myself, someone finally came in and ordered for us! It's incredible. It's inexplicable. Another couple of young girls and a family echoed my amazement. Awkward smiles from everyone. Secondly, the meal is ordinary, the price of this set is 60 euros or how much, I don't remember. There are more than 10 euros in the bill, the cost of ordering music, which is back to the hotel to check the bill only to find. I don't get it. We didn't order a live band outside the house. We sat indoors. Finally, there's the toilet. There's a long line. But the toilets are clean. One good thing about this restaurant is that it seems to allow guests to go to the toilet on the 2nd floor without eating. I think that's the only nice thing about it. Perhaps our three tables were unlucky that day, and none of us experienced the proper service that this elegant and historic cafe should have. It made such a bad impression on me that no matter how many times I went back to Venice, I would never consider going there again.

The ice coffee was great but it was tiny when compared to the picture so don't get fooled.
But the regular espresso was great

The location is great it is located on the San Marcos square so it can be really busy. You have to be prepared to wet your feet cause the water can rise anytime and the San Marco square is the lowest point in Venice.
And finally the atmosphere was great eating or drinking in a cafe that's 300 years old is definitely something different.

The best cafe I ever visited. Food was amazing and delicious. Even small details. Service was excellent. You need to come here for an experience. Interior is breathtaking. We came at 9 a.m. and cafe was empty inside. We had chance to make so much beautiful instagram pictures and videos for blog. Food is expensive but absolutely worth every penny! We took coffee, croissant and some pastry and paid 50€. I read that they include 6€ per person for live music and it was also mentioned in menu so it was not surprise for us. But at the end they didn’t include this music part in our bill. Maybe because of the morning time. Overall we felt ourselves very welcome and staff was so friendly and nice.

The atmosphere and ambiance are other worldly. Sitting outside and listening to the classical musicians while sipping on coffee was absolutely delightful. The espresso is fantastic. Yes, it's touristy and in the middle of a busy square but totally worth the visit for the history and experience. Incredible.
We had a apartment nearby and we decided to check this restaurant because we were hungry and we wanted some craft beer. Best decision ever! They had a selection of beers, friendly waitress who described everything to us, amazing pizzas and desserts. We had everything and more for a fair price. Highly recommend it to check it out if you are nearby. 😃
I was a bit skeptical about this place given it’s reputation and high prices, but I wanted to give it a try nonetheless. Perhaps it’s the norm for high-end and reputable restaurants in Europe but I was a bit surprised getting charged a music table fee, when technically you can listen to it for free just by standing nearby. Many were doing exactly that. Regardless, sipping on a drink, having a snack, and hanging out at what is the oldest café in Venice was a really surprising and dreamy experience. The history behind it ties really well into the classic atmosphere of the place, with a calm romantic vibe in the evening time.
Most people care about the prices, which are indeed higher than other cafes, for likely the same items. Well, I can’t speak for the food but I would highly recommend this place when in Venice, just for the atmosphere.

We ordered 2 take away Hawaji pizza and 3 Cola. It was frozen pizza crust (we belive so) added with ham, cheese and pineapple. They charged us 36 euros. They cheated us. And pizza was SO small and they put it on BIG boxes. We saw that It's possible to pay by card, but for us they told that Cash is only way to pay. They didn't give a re cipt. We never visit that Pizza Bar never again!!!

Having been told about this place by a Venetian, I had high expectations however it lived up to them. The cicchetti we tried was really delicious with many options to chose from and the environment was truly authentic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in Venice looking to try traditional Venetian cuisine.
An iconic caffè in Venice dated back to 1720. Live music from their own orchestra every evening and the best view on Piazza San Marco. You are back in time to enjoy a wonderful evening. Please be aware that there is a overcharge fee of 6€/person for the live music, but it is worth.
It was our everyday bar.. the drinks were great at the price was friendly… but they are temporary closed now..

Gestione migliore non si può trovare! Ragazzi simpatici, gentili, sempre disponibili ad accontentare e ad accogliere i clienti con un sorriso, anche al sabato mattina con la folla del mercato. Ottimo posto per un aperitivo veloce, una pausa caffè e una colazione in relax. E poi dove li trovi i pasticciotti a Marghera? Bravissimi!!!

People are friendly and I love the setting. Outdoor tables are great for me because of my large dog, but indoors is also quite nice. Looking forward to check out the pizzeria and perhaps listening to one of the concerts they organise

Ottimo locale, un bar elegante in una zona comoda sia da Venezia Mestre, sia da mira, dolo, Padova... personale simpatico, gentile e professionale... ci siamo fermati a prendere uno aperol spritz... e posso dire che è uno dei migliori che ho bevuto, stuzzichini abbondanti, polpettine, patatine e salatini di vario genere...tutto ad un buon prezzo... lo consiglio vivamente....

Nuova gestione, si, suo tavoli non si riesce a mangiare, pieno di frutta , candele, e stupidate varie buttate li sul tavolo alla c.zzo , prezzi carissimi, un toast, piccolo tra l'altro e un birraio 11 euro. 11 euro di cosa ?????, aspettato più di 10 minuti per un toast.
Mi spiace che abbia chiuso........era l'unico bar alla vecchia maniera,quando ordinavi il caffè,ti davano cioccolatino e bicchiere di acqua minerale.......cosa che col passare del tempo nei bar e sparita.......chissa' perché......ma!
