Nice priest, fast service, and beautiful church
Beautiful church inside and out that brings beauty and peacefulness to the steel and concrete of Boston's Seaport district. Worth visiting for Mass or quiet contemplation to think about all of our voyages through life as well as that of the seaman and sailors in years past.
Seaport Shrine is a beautiful, modern Catholic church in the heart of the Seaport. It offers an escape from the business of city life, and is a great community to be a part of.
I visited Boston in November this year. One of the most places I was deeply impressed was the Northen Square and a magnificent building of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. One thing I was surprised. It was a five pointed star above Christ statue on it`s facade. I was born in the USSR and for me, as for all people from the USSR, such a star is a symbol of communism. Of course, it has a different meaning in this place. I really want to know what is the meaning. Thank you in advance for your answer. Yana.

Beautiful, peaceful sanctuary in the midst of crazy busy. It's a blessing to visit the Blessed Sacrament after 10am.
I was awestruck by the architecture and beauty of this Cathedral. It seemed like what a Cathedral of the old world would look like.

This Cathedral offers the best liturgical experience in all of Boston. The historic pipe organ is truly something to behold, and I don't have enough superlatives to describe the music director. Come hear it for yourself ... he will make the small choir of a dozen or so sound greater than any tabernacle choir. Amen.
An incredibly beautiful, historic, peaceful church. Anytime I am in or near the area I hope I have time to pause and reconnect here.
Unexpectedly open on Easter Sunday this year! Beautiful statuary and stained glass. Wonderful, peaceful place to pray.
The church is beautiful, but missing the holy vibe. The priest is nice, put you can tell he’s putting on a show of faith. His helpers are aggressive and forced me to consume the communion bread —something I have never experienced at another church before. I’ll look for more simple and authentic church.
Beautiful, ornate church. I love that this parish is right in the middle of a neighborhood. I was here for just a short time. Thankful to be able to attend Mass.
Sacred Heart was my parish as boy in the 60's and 70's.
The new and much expanded location for Our Lady of Good Voyage. The older “Fisherman’s Chapel” was a very small chapel over by where the ICA is now (I think Gather is on that plot now). While the old chapel had a certain old time charm it was small & dark- but the new space is big and bright. Stained glass windows adorn the chapel on both sides and behind the alter. The Lady of Good Voyage has a small enclave as you walk in. The model ships hung along side the stained windows are all Boston area built ships- you’ll spot the Constitution if you look careful. We live on the other side of the city- so we haven’t attended a service here, but I’d always been interested in the older chapel and had to take a look at the new space.

I felt a weight had been lifted after going, since I just moved here with my wife from California. We've been blessed with so much and our safe passage here to Boston, giving thanks to our Lord is the least we could do.

A true hidden gem. We stumbled upon the church looking for cemeteries and I am so glad we did. I have never seen another church with such detailed statues of the Saints and the ceiling was simply breathtaking. I am not Christian and was deeply moved by the atmosphere and incredible art. If you are looking for something to see/do in Boston, it is definitely worth checking out.
The Catholic Church, in Boston, MA, has saved my life, many times, by providing, warm shelter, food bank, hot foods, and financial assistance. The holidays, were beautiful, again. Beautiful building on the outside, was not able to go inside
This is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever been in. I live in Oklahoma & make it a point to visit St. Leonards when we are in Boston. I went twice on our most recent visit last week. It’s incredibly peaceful, quiet & serene. The statues & ceilings are magnificent.
If you stumble upon this church when visiting the North End, then you've hit the bonus treat! The church and the grounds are so beautiful, you're stress will be taken away by just seeing their beauty! I was glad we decided to go in and see the inside. Do yourself a favor and check this out when at the North End!

Beautiful church in the middle of the busy Seaport neighborhood. It’s a great place to stop by for a quick prayer, or stay for Mass.
A beautiful church, and one of my favorite places to pray while in Boston. The renovations are gorgeous and the only thing missing is for the traditional Latin Mass to be offered here. The Franciscans are wonderful and kind to all.
Father David Taurasi holds traditional Tridentine Latin mass as though it were his first and his last. Sermons are brilliant, educational, mesmerizing and inspiring. Gregorian chants add to the reverence of the mass. It is held in the beautiful downstairs chapel of the Cathedral. Not to be missed! Every Sunday at 10 am, follow path by Our Lady’s statue in the garden on left of Cathedral. Path leads down to lower level’s doors.
A beautiful, peaceful, and historic church located right in the heart of Boston’s Italian North end at the corner of Hanover Street at Prince Street. So many are caught up in all the restaurants, bakeries, and shops nearby that they miss out on this absolute treasure. Do take a moment to step inside, no matter your religious views or your ethnic background. You’ll appreciate the simple beauty and a quiet moment of reflection. My photos don’t do this place justice so visit to see for yourself.
I was amazed to see that Boston has such a great cathedral! Built in 1875, it's not widely known neither located in a key area of the city. It's even hard to find any mentions of this church in guidebooks. However, it's a truly beautiful church - one of those that can trigger a mystic experience while you stroll inside.
Very cosy small church. I really enjoyed the Sunday evening mass I attented here.

A beautiful Church,and what an outstanding praying ground's walk through and enjoy such beautiful religious art work, statues, nice place to sit down relax and enjoy, pray 🙏 to Lord, for just about anything, forgiveness, prayers for friends and family etc. I could on. Go there and enjoy.when your at Mike's Pastry on Hanover St North end of Boston. Corner of prince and Hanover. Enjoy.watch the kids play b-ball on the side of the church.🙏
An amazing cathedral full of stained glass windows yet very modern inside. Assume it has been done up structurally quite recent. Sunday church also has Spanish services.
Italian church in North end of Boston. It is independently owned and supported not part of diocese. Thank goodness it cannot be sold to pay for the sins of others. Lovely church kept up with pride. It belongs to.people who enjoy the freedom of prayer without fear of it being taken and sold by the diocese.
Stonehill Collage: Great place to walk. The grounds keepers keep this place like a botanical garden!Love to go when school is out . Quiet place to enjoy nature and reflect!
Beautiful spiritual oasis, minutes from Logan Airport. They have Daily Catholic Mass at 7:30 am and 12:10 pm. Mon-Fri. Very convenient if you have a morning flight into Logan, you can make that mid day Mass(only 30mins) and priests available for confession before and after Mass. The shrine is only a couple years old but the architecture and art work reminiscent of an old European chapel. Beautiful stained glass, worth a visit even if you are not Catholic and simply looking for a quiet place to simply meditate and gather your thoughts.
They have done an amazing job on the renovations, absolutely beautiful.

We came in from out of town and went to mass here on Saturday. It was a delightful parish, appears to be post WW II architecture. It was a very good mass. Father Sciacca gave a powerful homily and we’d gladly come here regularly if we lived in Boston.
This is the church I always went to. I love this church, people are amazing, services are beautiful, & the functions are always a lot of fun. It's a place I feel at peace which is rare.
Beautiful interior and statuary. Has a lower level chapel with many Saint statues and kneelers. (There are free papers next to most statues with either a prayer or biography on the saint). Upper level Church has beautiful frescos. There is a small on your honor gift shop just inside the front door. The building was originally built as the Seamens' Bethel Church. It became a Catholic Church with the wave of Italian immigrants in the late 1800's.
