Omg, this place has gone down fall from where it was the food I try to eat was reheated was really nasty 🤢... Definitely not going back nothing left to see or buy there.
Fantastic place to work, shop, socialize and exercise! Pet friendly too!
I adore this area! I have lived here for over 20+++ years, and it has changed significantly. I am happy to see all these unique stores opening around the community. I have come down here for the weekly saturday farmer's market & local cultural events hosted here. Silver Spring is a diverse community, and it is shown through the art and the people there. Every weekend, you can look forward to a party around the city place mall. There is Tai chi, farmer's market & weekend events happening year round. I love my city and am proud to be a local here. Sign up online or follow downtown silver spring on instagram to stay up to date. That's how I found out about the annual jazz fest, which is a must hear! Recently, our family went down to the annual Thanksgiving parade. It's local, free, and great for family and groups of friends. There is a beautiful mural to walk through from the silver spring metro station entering the city atmosphere, lots of resting areas with artwork. Perfect meeting place for friends and family to get acquainted with some of Maryland city life. Ethnic restaurants, libraries, comic book stores, game centers, movie theatres, ice skating rinks during winter, all your mall shopping needs, and the famous AFI and fillmore Music Center. Yes, you can do a lot of fun things in the center. Please come and visit my city!
Stopped in McGinty's Pub. Highly recommend! Absolutely delightful. Ot Wonderful Irish music by Wendy and the Lost Boys Band really drew in the crowd. Crowd loved them! Food was excellent (delicious, great portions & well priced), great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!!! Put this on your places to visit! I give it 5 shamrocks!!

Glenmont Shopping Center is a parking lot for truckers now. It still houses CVS, Staples, MC Donald, and various other places. People are allowed to hang out by the doors of business'.
It's dirty, this is my last resort if I have to go there.
The only store there I'll go to now is staples and that's on an urgent matter only.
this place is trash, dirty, bad maintained, no rules for cars parked wrong open drug markets
Some of the stores are perfectly nice, but the parking lot is an absolute nightmare.

Between people driving freely between the parking rows, people selling food and other things in certain spaces, seemingly a lot of overnight parkers, etc.

Just be very careful and have your head on a swivel if you have to drive here...
Has Story Dispensary, CVS, Staples, Liquor Store, Metro PCs, McDonald's, gas Station, Food trucks, Smoke shop, $1 store ect...
Traders Joe's was crazy. But enjoyed going there.
Last Saturday morning, I went to the Downtown Silver Spring Farmers Market on Elsworth Ave. It was a worthwhile experience. You could buy so many items. They sell all kind of produce, flowers, dairy, baked goods, liquor, meat, and much more. Plenty of parking. Market stays open all year.
Some street events are always happening. Many good cuisines available. Car free section. Beautiful. Silver Spring does a good job of city management. Whole Foods, Lebanese, Vietnamese restaurants are good

Very crowded parking. A few anchor stores that I shop so it’s convenient if I pick the right time of day, otherwise it’s madness trying to get out of the shopping center.

Came here for the Maker's Market and had a fun time exploring the mall. It's a little dated, but it has a pretty decent selection of shops and three levels.
Know what I love about this place? No boundaries!

Well, technically As an unincorporated census-designated place, Silver Spring's boundaries are not consistently defined. Nor is its category. Is it a neighborhood? Is it a town?? Is it a region? Is it a zip code? Is it an area code? Is it Morse code? (OK, it's almost certainly not that last one.) Is it a city? Is it a Metro stop? You Google it. I'm feeling lazy today.

You know what I DO know, though? Silver Spring, MD was the inspiration for Stevie Nicks to write "Silver Springs," which is enough to make it one of my favorite places EVER! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Went there after almost 20 years. Significant revival of the downtown area with lots of good restaurants, stores, entertainment centers, imax theater, plenty of parking and good transit. Good area to explore for a day.
I want to give this place a decent review but it's so difficult. This "shopping mall" has been around since before the 70s and it just has not been taken care of well.

There is parking, however, there are huge dips and potholes everywhere.

The sidewalks are disgusting, at night there's rats and roaches come towards you or behind you from every direction. Then there's the homeless or drunks that sit around and hassel you for change or whatever else.

There used to be a bowling alley that was really fun back in the day but that was closed down. All in all the place could be good, but it just isn't.

There's one of Montgomery county's older but more interesting shopping centers.

Two levels are kind of difficult to navigate but have vastly different offerings.

Driving around the lower end can be challenging because the parking lanes are very narrow and there's really only a few ways in and out so expect to take some extra time here.

Store seem to change every couple of months but there's a few stalwarts like McDonald's and 7-Eleven and CVS.

A good place to stop if you don't have any other options, but definitely not a place for a quick visit...
There is not enough parking, and the spaces are too tight.

There is too much negative activity. Some of the stores are good. But the staff in some of them don't make the trip worthwhile.

If you're in a rush, sure, stop in.
Otherwise, I'd drive somewhere else
For some reason it seems as if lots of places I've been going around the Country, same as the Nation's Capital, the main reason that I Traveled to D.C from Arizona, being under some silly assumption that my being a Born and Bred American Citizen and that I'd certainly be allowed, able to gain some form of dignity after my having woken up from a (TBI) coma, what must've given me the assuming that my God-given Constitutional Rights somewhere meant something?

It's a classic example of nicely appointed retail environment struggling under the weight of its less desireable clientele. It is what it is and there's no escaping it. It's also no surprise why they have a non-descript holding facility the parking garage.

Very few stores, most of them closed way too early. Most escalators are broken, poor lighting, and very few stores. Only place worth visiting is Dave & Buster's

Had a great time with my daughter and granddaughter just hanging out
Dollar General is always messy, but the manager is always pleasant.
This shopping center has changed a bit since I last visited. I love that it has an Aldi store. It's busy for sure, with many stores and restaurants to choose from.

Parking inadequate these days with really small spaces and people driving like no one else is in the lot (very aggressively). Although traffic pattern is clear, drivers are aggressive and impatient. If it weren't for Aldi and UPS, I wouldn't bother here.
Love the Safeway in this shopping center! Very clean and well organized.
Great place to go. Different options to eat also at the movie theaters down there. Also on weekends they have farmers markets and things that can catch your attention. Always a great place to go to with friends or family.

Very clean and wide. Nice place to go with family and friends. Transportation to wheaton and many other destinations are there and very easy to get. There a whole shop for schools uniforms. Let's go
It's a nice center but parking and traffic can be challenging
I like it! The new Tropical Smoothie Cafe brings in a crowd and there are plenty of stores that are doing well. Subway also makes great subs but parking however can be difficult at high-traffic hours.
Please install OneWay signs on each parking lane on the Giant Foods side. And enforcement of the No Parking on the entry way on the T-Mobile side. Each are an accident about to happen.

The parking can be hard to find and inconvenient. You have to pay, stand in line for the kiosk on the weekend. Doesn't cost alot but if you're in a rush it's frustrating. But the mall was not far and they had every store you could think of. A little hood, elevator has no AC and is old, some escalators weren't working. Saw cute bags in ROSS but the lines are long on the weekend.
The pharmacy here is awesome! I am new to this area and they filled my medicines the same day my Dr. Sent them there. They are very friendly and it is pretty clean a very big parking lot but there was construction in the main entrance so I had to follow detour signs around to get into the parking lot.
I like a lot of shops here, especially Trader Joe's but the parking is challenging. The traffic light is hard to navigate and the parking lot always feels busy and tight.
In my opinion I believe the buildings exterior need a face lift… the place starting to look a bit run down.

Downtown Silver spring has come a long way from when I was a kid to when I lived here in the mid 00's to now. Lots of stores, lots of places to eat and drink as well as places to go and party. Crime unfortunately is starring to get a little worse now but I guess that's to be expected. The mall needs a severe makeover that's the only thing I can suggest.
I enjoy shopping at thus location. I get and out so fast and the people are very friendly.
The shopping center kind of is what it is. It's anchored by Safeway, a gigantic thrift shop and a liquor store.

The unique thrift shops are awesome, always great deals to be had and just a fun place to kill an hour.

I love this mall - for its general cleanliness and competing Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Ross and Burlington stores. Outside of that it's a very basic low budget mall with limited choices. It feels almost like a mall you would see in a 3rd world country. But it is still a great value.
the place is very good the businesses that are good there are starbucks, chipotle, subway, bento asian food, there is a smoothies place, CVS, EYES CLINIC and many more things
I have been going to this mall since I was a teenager I am now really really close to 50 and I still love this more

This used to be a mega mall back in the early 90's. I'm glad that Dave & Busters took the old AMC spot and put it to good use. Its a great location and large, it just needs to get put to good use
It has two dollar stores a ross a rainbow, tattoo shop, medical and dental office. A few different places to eat ,not a bad shopping center HOWEVER from noon until closing parking is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!

Unfortunately, this mall is slowly declining both physically and in quality of businesses. Silver Spring really needs to figure out how to reverse the decline of downtown.
Huge supermarket and great value and amazing staff

This is a nice mall. It seems like it has been there a long time, but it is in great condition. There are several good discount stores. Good location and many restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend this place.
Good shopping center with all various restaurants and grocery stores
Love this place. It has most of the basic store you need. Giant, which carries a variety of different countries food. Customer service ok. Good dollar store . Get your nails done , Budget rental car, among other small stores.

It's a nice place to walking thru. Has Other shopping stores n foods places to eat out or inside.
Went there looking for chipotle it was around 9pm. Got there on time cause they were almost about to close. Good service. Got what i ask for on my order.
Sent to Value Village. I was able to pick up some dress clothes. The prices were great. I'll definitely be coming back.
Parking is available, but I always worry that my car will be scratched because it's a cramped lot. Friendly staff in Trader Joe's.
Didn't adventure into market, but visiting other establishment. Always great food, carryout.

Ellsworth Place Mall is a fantastic shopping destination with a great variety of stores and restaurants. Located in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, the mall is easily accessible and has something for everyone.

The mall has a great mix of high-end and affordable stores, which is perfect for shoppers with different budgets. From luxury brands like Sephora and H&M to more affordable stores like Forever 21 and T.J. Maxx, there is a store for every budget. The stores are well-organized and well-stocked, making it easy to find what you're looking for.

The mall also has a great food court with a variety of options. Whether you're in the mood for Asian cuisine, Mexican food, or just a quick snack, there is something for everyone. The food court is always clean and well-maintained, making it a great place to grab a bite to eat.

One thing that really stands out about Ellsworth Place Mall is the atmosphere. The mall has a welcoming and friendly vibe, and the staff is always helpful and attentive. The mall is also very clean and well-maintained, which makes for a pleasant shopping experience.

Another great feature of the mall is the location. It's in the heart of downtown Silver Spring, which means that there are plenty of other things to do in the surrounding area. There are several theaters, restaurants, and bars nearby, making it a great place to spend an entire day.

Overall, I highly recommend Ellsworth Place Mall. It's a great place to shop, eat, and hang out, and the friendly atmosphere and convenient location make it a must-visit destination in Silver Spring. Whether you're looking for high-end fashion or just a quick bite to eat, Ellsworth Place Mall has something for everyone.
This place was probably great back in the day. Now it's just average. The cool part is after thrifting you can get groceries at Safeway then Starbucks
Love Trader Joes..parking is difficult sometimes, but worth it to shop there

I do like the Aldi there although the service is not as great as it was when it initially opened. The seafood restaurant in the shopping center is great and the bakery is really good and clean. I do think the CVS could improve and the manager has got to stop watching people and assuming all Black people are thieves especially after a Black woman spends $100 on makeup alone. Plus, CVS never hardly gives out coupons anymore for shopping the coupons they print out are for the following shopping experience which you may miss if you don't keep watch of the coupon date.
I liked it better when Sears was there, but this mall still has a Giant food store, Walgren's, shops and eateries, a pet supply shop, and ample parking.
See great experience not bad as people may think the area is good and safe to shop.
In general the White Oak parking lot is always overcrowded and the vehicle lane directly in front of the stores is too narrow, drivers stop where they are not allowed to and no stopping/parking rules are not observed nor enforced.
Yes I'm just sharing The shoe everything I need is Right in their sneakers sandals boots cowgirl boots 🥾 🥾🥾 slippers socks and baby shoes kid shoes my number one store y'all don't forget my birthday April 28th my
staff rushed me out of the store and refused to assist me find stomach relief meds. I voiced my disdain and expressed how it also felt that the way I treated was very racially motivated. And the security guard was rude!! In this social ticking time bomb climate?? That was sad and my feelings were truly hurt. I'll never go in this place again.
Hadn't had my feet done in months crusty. I have sensitive feet amy technicians was great. I write this as she polishes my toes. She now my go to just have to make morning appointments her time. I'm there. 🙏🏿💜 Miami's nails 3 in Briggs channey
This place has a nice variety of stores; the Global Market has food items for any type of food you want to make. Great produce and less expensive. My go to store for when I'm cooking something unusual! Clean space and friendly staff. 3 stars because the parking lot entry is a bit stressful.
Good place to go shopping for food. You can fine any in there. The store is clean. The staff in here are so nice. They ask if you find every good what you need. There are a lot of casher open.
I love to thrift. The best places have the best options, and this is a wonderland! I've been here 3 times since I first discovered the place, and I always spend no less than 2 hours inside. Just when you think you're done, you can't leave until you go to the other side. It's a mirror of what you just left...with more amazing finds! It's my new fav place to hunt.
I like going to the shopping center, especially because there is a thrift store that I can donate a lot of my old stuff they even give you a 20% off coupon to get some stuff from there that's nice. There is a Starbucks as well in a safe way, and some other stores. It's a very convenience shopping center.
Yay, new shopping carts! Good selection of fresh fruit & veggies. Big selection of everything else!
It's a great little place to find your second-handed gems.

Great place to visit everything some want in one place. On Christmas, my kids had so much fun, and boom, this police man gave them the best Christmas . Until now, they still talk about him. So lovely
Grabbed some lunch at BurgerFi one of many restaurants within walking distance of downtown Silver Springs and watched the ice skaters.
Convenient location with parking in the front & rear with a variety of shops and offices. Affordable barber shop, clock shop, two banks, tax preparer, dry cleaners, Chipotle & CVS among several others.
Convenient to Metro bus and Montgomery County FLASH and mass transit with stops on both sides of Colesville Road. Good selection of merchants and services. Parking lot is hectic, poorly marked and too subject to cross-traffic accidents. Lazy motorists occupy fire lanes, causing congestion and pedestrian near-misses on a regular basis.
Very clean and attractive! It reminded me of 1st Ave in Jacksonville Beach and the landing/downtown Jax when they have the art walk! So very colorful and well kept!
The scooter rental station was such a great addition! We don't have anything like that in the area I live.
I wouldn't call this a mall. The Giant grocery store is the only store there except a beauty school around the corner. There are restaurants nearby but not on the same property. The Giant is clean and well stocked; no alcohol if you were wondering. Bakery, fish counter and deli.
This Giant has no seafood department also this is the 3rd Giant I have gone to trying to purchase a quart or 1/2 gallon of 2% Maola milk to come out disappointed. What's up with that.

Pretty cool mall. Cuz I have all your typical mall stores but it's got a couple bargain clothing stores The craft store five below just a tiny handful of small stores mostly like jewelry or tailor You're not going to see stores like Hot topic or Hollister or things like that here. It does have a big restaurant though that's an Irish pub and then downstairs has like a Chinese buffet They have an auntie Anne's and they have a Dave & busters. Free parking garage that connects directly into the mall with a skywalk.
The shopping center needs a complete facelift.
The parking is dangerous- with the truck stop parking
Lighting is bad at night.
I only go to cvs/staples.
Trashy area
Amongst the different businesses observed, White Oak cleaners isn't open/functioning. It's a beautiful place quite condusive to go shopping.
Great place to visit, shop and eat. I visit the grocery store there. Always have great fresh produce and meats. The floors and items on the shelves are so neatly arranged. The staff is always so pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this location to everybody. Keep up the Great work. Happy Holidays.
We ordered a birthday cake and it was pretty delicious. Placing the order was a little bit challenging through email, but we eventually worked out the order. The final bill was also a bit different than what was initially told to us, but that is fine. Lastly, the text was slightly wrong on the cake, but we were able to have them fix it while we were there.

If you go on a Sunday, there may be a line outside....so you know they are good! lol. Overall I would recommend checking them out.
Trader Joe's I just live the joint. I picked up all of my holiday pantry staples, baking materials, and sturdy produce. I go to Trader Joes because the items they sell are a better quality and variety than my local supermarket. Place is fun and many interesting characters.
The energy at Wireless Vision is like no other the staff is knowledgeable they solve all of problems from start to finish! They even gave me some chips while I relaxed & waited!
I love this Giant! There are so many very kind and caring people. Excellent staff, good pharmacy, excellent delicious
Salad and Deli bars. Very Safe Security. Quick Check Out Service. All Covid 19 Precautions, disinfectant at door and some counters.
Been shopping at this Giant for over two decades. Good customer service. Prices are reasonable. Hundreds of items on sale every week. Very clean too. Giant is my #1 grocery store to shop.
Hillsdale shopping center is very close to the major road, and close to FDA , the location is very convenient. There are Starbucks, chipolata and domino's, etc, and also has a Indian restaurant and bar. Safeway is there too, you can get different groceries inside.
Ross store is the best!!! There's a lot of options in this strip mall.
Mimi nails is a great place to get your nails 💅 done.
Don Pollo offers great specials 👍

After renovation this place combining good set of dining options including Not Your Average Joe and Dave and busters with some local stores and discount chains like Ross and TJ Maxx. Children playground on the 1st floor, food court. Restrooms are OK and parking has a bridge over the Fenton street.
They have a Trader Joe's and a Starbucks here among other stores. Parking can be challenging at busy times but is usually ok. It's actually on Columbia Pike not Colesville Rd
