Mixed bag but overall positive.
Grilled pork com dish was a good portion, tasty, broken rice ✅ and the nuoc mam was surprisingly good.
However the pho my partner got lacked flavour and spices. Really one of the poorest pho broths I ever have tasted.
Overall, if I were hungry and in the area I would go.
Very disappointed with my order. Ordered Vietnamese sub satay chicken. They put cooked onions which smelt and tasted stale. I had to throw the sub.

Also at the same time ordered grilled lemon grass chicken with rice. My order was not hot, nor chicken was grilled, nor tasty. Never going to order it again
This is one of my favourite Vietnamese places in Calgary. I’ve tried several things off the menu, and they’ve all been very good. Admittedly, I usually have the 31B) Satay Peanut Beef Noodle Soup. It’s my favourite pho in the city.
The prices are decent and the service is always good.

Tried to go, but could not find it. Other guests also looking, guess it closed, should really update this profile, for out of town people looking for thr bar.
Had a sauté beef sub with can coke and side order of peanut sauce. I’m a critic for Vietnamese subs. The sub was average . Peanut sauce was extra charge and was powdered generic restaurant grade with no peanuts. The service was almost non existent and no follow up to my liking of the meal until I had finished. The waitress assumed and put a digital device in front of my face instead of asking how I would pay. I payed cash and left. The consensus is I have had better subs for less money and definitely better service.
Awesome sub, everything was perfectly fresh and great value for the price. Also comes with a free Viet coffee which is really good, too.
An absolutely amazing experience... we tried the power veggie pho and the spring rolls and dumplings as starters. Our hostess for the evening, Ariana, was so helpful in helping me choose the best of their extensive vegan menu. The service was excellent and super quick. Will definitely be coming back again!

Amazing place for vegans and vegetarians (power veggie pho is a must try if you like thukpa!)
Have been coming in here for the last five and half years! Service is amazing food is amazing!! 10 stars indeed! Sate beef soup is up there as the one of the best in the city! Keep up the exceptional service guys. Definitely worth a stop and try!!
Possibly the worst Vietnamese food I’ve had in the city. I ordered takeout. The sauce served with my spring rolls was about a 1/2 a teaspoon. Enough to get just one half of a spring roll dipped and enjoyed. The pho I ordered was flavourless… no hoisin hot sauce or utensils in the bag. The subs… only meat in half the sub. It was like wasting bread threatened with the smallest amount of flavour.
I recently visited Infinity Ultra Lounge, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. First and foremost, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Despite the lounge being only half-full, we waited nearly an hour for our drinks to arrive, and when they finally did, they were incorrect and poorly made.

The ambiance, which is supposed to be a highlight of any ultra lounge, was underwhelming. The lighting was too dim to see anything clearly, and the music was deafeningly loud, making it impossible to hold a conversation. Additionally, the seating was uncomfortable and seemed worn out, hardly what you'd expect from a place that markets itself as a high-end venue.

The crowd was also a letdown. Instead of the upscale clientele that the lounge advertises, it was mostly rowdy and disruptive patrons, which made the environment feel more like a chaotic bar than a sophisticated lounge.

Overall, Infinity Ultra Lounge failed to live up to its promise on nearly every front. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant or upscale night out.
The 31b is the best of the 3 types of pho we tried. The bun bo hue was good too. The beef and beef ball soup was decent but I’ve had better in other places. Nobody could finish the regular size coz they were huge.

We also had the pork vermicelli which was okay. My hungry husband finished his bowl.

I would highly highly recommend this place for someone craving peanut butter sate pho. I’d come back if that’s what I have a craving for but not if I’m wanting BBH or regular beef pho.

We also tried the fried pork spring rolls which was okay, honestly not the most flavourful but really basic and typical for many Vietnamese restaurants, and the salad rolls (beef) was sub par for me.

Service was fast.
Pho Phuong on Elbow Dr SW in Calgary is a must-try for Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts. The restaurant offers delicious and authentic dishes, especially their flavorful pho soup which is a crowd favorite. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make dining here a delightful experience. Overall, Pho Phuong is a top choice for anyone craving tasty Vietnamese food in Calgary.
Our favorite restaurant! The vietnamese subs have ruined all other subs for me, they are the most amazing blend of flavor, veggies, and proteins. The lemongrass tofu sub is my favorite.

Also, as a vegetarian I love the amount of options here. I have brought numerous friends here, and we have always enjoyed our meals.

Try them out, you will not be disappointed!

Came here to this Asian mall to explore…So Glad to have walked by this Vietnamese restaurant!! The 2 ladies in the Kitchen smiled and said hello to me as I walked by….on my way out I found myself hungry and ordered a Bain-mi…Pork lemon grass…came with a complimentary Vietnamese coffee…yummy!!…well, I took the Bahn-Mi home and opened it up and to my very Happy Surprise…I shared the most Deliciously made Bahn-Mi in my life..and I’ve had many delicious Bahn-Mi…thousands in Vietnam…ok..this is THE BEST!!!! Thnak you Ladies!!! Highly Recommended…hope to return soon!!
Love this little hidden gem. Went here for dinner and it was great. Beef sate pho is always my go to, so I got the beef sate pho and beef sate sub, and my girlfriend had the grilled pork vermicelli with spring rolls, and a pork sub. I'm not exaggerating, these were the best Vietnamese subs we've ever had, and I've had a lot of them! We both took the first bite into our sub at the same time and both paused and were audibly taken aback. The bread was so soft and the meat was so flavourful. The pho was great as well, very flavorful, it's why I love beef sate pho, and this did not disappoint. Girlfriend loved the vermicelli as well.

Overall not traditional. Student discount.
Personally wouldn’t go there for pho but other options are better!Definitely prefer the banh mi over pho.

Pho to me was more on the cinnamon side but lacked depth of the beefy rich flavour. Felt like it was missing seasoning, tasted very watered down. Overall pho was a decent portion but for the price there are better options.

The banh mi on the other hand was very juicy, soft yet crunchy bread and big portion, but again for the price I would say it was fair. The meat had so much flavour and was consistent.

The vibes amazing place!
Service was top notch, kept asking me if I needed water when empty. Very nice person to talk to and made sure things were clean.
we went to this place when it was raining outside a lot, and we felt so hungry, and this place was the first restaurant that we saw on google maps. the food was overall good, but to be honest, for me, the noodle was a little too bland, and could’ve used more salt. the rice that my bf got me was actually surprisingly good, even though i got mad at him for getting fried rice and a pho restaurant…. the server accidentally spilled the hot noodle soup on my bf a little, but she cleaned it afterwards. the atmosphere is so clean, and quiet, and beautiful.

there’s no parking space that we are aware of, so we just parked beside the safeway fence, and paid $2 for the parking.

overall it was 4/5 because the food could’ve been great, but maybe this is because i’ve been to other pho restaurant and the first places i’ve been to has left the great impact on me, and nothing could match that place again. 🤍

Every time I come to this location, somethings wrong whether it be the pop machine broken, ovens not working.. and I get it these things happen but the service is just not good enough to look past those things.
The midnapore Subway is WAYYYYYYY better and i recommend trying that location over this one any day of the week

Went for lunch sunday April 21, 2024 and had a turkey sub with spinach. I got sick pretty quickly and after a week of agony and illness, it's been confirmed that I do have salmonella food poisoning. I had not eaten anything else that day, before or after that sub. Please do better with food handling. I was very very ill for about a week and am still recovering.
Good option for Vietnamese if you’re in the area. But pretty on par with most places out there. Food came out fast but they didn’t refill the water unless asked. I remember when Vietnamese also used to be an affordable meal but easy now it’s over $20 pp. Like $10 for salad rolls. Seems clean but old.
I have gone to this place throughout the years. It’s good and I like their curry noodle soup quite a bit. I also tried their banh mi sub grilled beef spicy and it’s good as well.

It’s expansive for a sandwich though
Great food, super friendly staff and really quick service! Will definitely come back :)

Ordered takeout, and the portions were very very small compared to the other Vietnamese places around. The food tasted alright, but barely any veggies, spring rolls were tiny, and small meat portions.

** (response to owner) Thank you for your reply. The only verification I require comes from your staff; Who were quite clear that they do not receive tips. Perhaps you should re-visit your tip distribution policy internally. **

Unacceptable! It has been brought to my attention that The ownership group of this franchise does not share checkout tips with its employees. This by all accords is an abysmal business practice. The ownership group should be able to elicit profit from their operations without dipping into the blood, sweat, tears and efforts of their employees. Rest assured I will never support this location again with my business. Smarten up! Things are hard enough as it is without skimming from your employees; who by my estimation are foreign workers who have very little recourse. The tips you collect at checkout are for your employees, not for your ownership group bank account. Whoever owns this location, Hang your head in shame!

I recently moved into the neighbourhood and we decided to visit this location on two separate occasions. That said, we ordered cold cut and turkey bacon which is a usual buy, and both times we ordered on the traditional white bread, and the bread seemed like it had been sitting there more than a few days. The bread was not fresh at all and we had gone around lunch time! We promised to never visit this location because we hate stale bread. So please do better and serve customers fresh bread and not stale bread to save a few bucks.
We arrived on a Saturday at opening. There were 3 tables including us. The restaurant was spacious with lots of seating.

The menu was elaborate and covered most items one would see from a Vietnamese restaurant.

Pork spring rolls were good, no burnt spots.
Salad with lemongrass chicken was tasty. Not too salty. However, the chicken was not sliced through, and no knife was provided. Making it difficult to eat.
The sub and the ultimate vermicelli arrived at the same time. The sub slided onto the table completely when the waitress put down the plate. We asked for a replacement and she looked surprised.

The new sub came shortly. The bread was fresh. Meat to veggie ratio is the smallest we have ever seen at Vietnamese restaurants around Calgary. It was loaded with carrots. It should have been called a carrot sub instead of a satay beef sub.

Very little toping on the vermicelli as well. The taste was okay.

Overall, there are other Vietnamese restaurants that offer better food at a better price.

The family and I decided to give this place a try after being in the area for lunch, and we are glad that we did. Vietnamese Chop Chop is a small unassuming little establishment located in an older commercial strip on Center Street. It can easily be missed, so keep an eye out, just be sure not to miss giving this place a try.

The dining area is a good size, having several 4 tops and a large 8-10 in the middle and some single seats, bar top style by the window. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the staff are super nice.

Menu wise, it contains a good selection of soup and dry noodle dishes, rice dishes and Vietnamese subs. The prices are fair and the portions are generous, we ordered the regular size and it was quite filling, I would imagine the XL option would be good for 2.

We started with salad shrimp rolls, beef salad rolls and spring rolls. Served fresh, unlike some establishments pre make the rolls, and they become hard in the fridge. The deep fried spring rolls are also amazing, served more Chinese style in terms of size, the filling was full of flavour and the skin was very crunchy.

The kids ordered the won ton noodles, beef ball noodles and the house special, while the wife and myself gave the satay soup noodles a go. The broths in the kids orders were super flavourful, you can tell that there is care put into the broth. But the satay is on another level. This is definitely one of the few Vietnamese restaurants to serve actual peanut satay. The peanut satay has a great spice level, hits of peanut with a dash of tomato and is rich and thick. It is simply amazing, and highly recommended.

We topped it off with an iced Vietnamese coffee, which the owner said is different than most places. And she was right, the coffee had much nuttier hints, and still packed the trademark punch Vietnamese coffee is known for. Definitely a must try as well.

The facilities are very clean and well kept, and parking is plenty in the front lot or streetside.

Don't miss the opportunity to give this establishment a try, it has been one of the best Vietnamese noodle experiences we have tried in a while, and we will definitely be back for more.
This is hands-down, the best family restaurant in SW. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. The staff always has a smile on their faces. This is my go-to place for soul food.

I ordered the House Special Beef Pho. The broth was very fragrant and flavourful. The portion was generous with lots of meat. It was definitely one of the best pho I had in town. The accompanying tea was also fragrant. Went back the following week and had the carrot beef stew with noodles. It was very delicious as well.

Decent food, not the best Viet cuisine I’ve had. Has good portions, a student discount and very good service. However the food has its oddities; for example I ordered the Beef Satay Pho with Peanut, and it just had a lump of peanut butter placed in the broth, instead of being a cohesive mixture. The atmosphere was also lovely as it was modern and relatively quiet for conversations with companions.

We love Spicy Hut, we heard that the owners are retiring, we visited again for one more time before they close.

Food was great, potion was large as always. Their menu is huge, there are so many items to choose from, I cannot believe they cook everything in the kitchen!

I want to say thank you to the owners and wish you the best for your retirement!

LOVE THE SATE PHO.
Its quite similar to pho hoan pasteurs sate pho. But this is in a much better location if you're in the area.

I don’t know why it’s taken me two decades to write a review for this place! This is bar none the best Chinese food you can find in Calgary. Simply cannot be beat in terms of flavours and quality. Definitely is a hole in the wall, so don’t expect anything fancy when you get in. The service is friendly and fast, but the real highlight is the food. My wife and I have been dining here At least once every couple months for the past 18 years. Not once have we been anything but extremely satisfied. The food comes out ridiculously quickly (honestly sometimes within 5 to 10 minutes) and is always fresh (No heat lamp buffet in this place). Our favourite dishes are a crispy chow mein hot plate, and crispy chicken.

This is absolutely our favourite restaurant and I can’t recommend it enough. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!

One of those cozy family-run establishments that are hard to come by these days, Spicy Hut doesn't look like it has much to offer upon first glance but that's how you know the food's going to be good.

The reviews weren't kidding when they said this place makes the best dumplings ever because I seriously could not get enough of them, especially with that chilli oil on the side. Also enjoyed their pad thai, veg fried rice and beef mussuman curry although it's definitely not spicy the way they advertised it.

To top it off, I was surprised to see the OG fortune cookies they gave us which tasted just as good as I remember from my childhood (petition to have all restaurants start selling them again pls thank you).

Overall, the bill came to $70 which felt expensive at first but after seeing the amount of quantity we received, I realized one dish is made to share between at least two people so it was worth it considering the amount of leftovers. Will definitely be back for more dumplings!

What happened?? I've been going to this place for over 20 years and it's always been amazing with great value. I was super disappointed that my favorite dish masamun beef was awful in my order. The beef used to be velveted and incredibly tender. My order had beef so tough that you could barely put your fork in it. The potatoes in the dish were also quite large and tough but not as tough as the beef.

However, the crispy chicken was still quite good but default spice level that we got would probably overwhelm someone who doesn't deal with heat well.

Since I've been going back to this restaurant for so long, I'd probably give it another shot but I'm so disappointed my favorite dish is a fraction of the quality it used to be.

Their flavours are unique and positively addictive! If you like Chinese or Thai food, you owe it to yourself to eat here. Generous portions, always fresh and top quality ingredients -- you won't believe the size or number of the prawns in your meal :). Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the hands-down best Hot and Sour Soup in Calgary -- probably anywhere.

Friendly folks, family-run hidden gem. Once you eat here, you'll find it hard to go anywhere else. We've been driving across town, as often as possible, for many years now -- absolutely nothing compares to the food and service at Spicy Hut.

Vietnamese Chop Chop is a promising spot with the delightful addition of Pandan tea. I opted for the Peanut Beef Satay Pho (#34), while my partner went for the House Special Pho (#11), both in small sizes. The portions were just right, offering a generous amount of meat. The Peanut Beef Satay had a mild spice, leaning towards sweetness with a subtle curry note. The House Special was decent but slightly bland. I'd come back for the flavorful satay experience.

Had a beef satay sub and a chicken sub. Both were excellent!! Plenty of meat and veggies and tasted great. The subs were quite large considering they were $9.50 each. Definitely a little hidden gem.
I ordered the N8 and B2. It was tremendous! The broth for the soup was rich and flavorful. The Sub was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. The roll was crisp and crunchy. The beef filling was tender and delicious!
The veggies on the roll were fresh and crisp.
Really nice people. I got the vegetable tofu with crispy egg noodles #59. Very cool presentation, vegetables were fresh and had a nice bit of crunch but it was way too salty without much flavour. Everyone else got the vermicelli with spring rolls and loved it so i guess I ordered wrong.

We ordered two sate beef noodles and one house special beef noodle with sate broth. The broth was very flavourful and portions were generous. This is a great chinese thai food restaurant,
Thai stuffed wings was the best & recommended, sweet & sour pork bit sour but still ok, quick fried sliced duck with green onions very tasty with thin sliced with wok style, grilled pork dumpling the inside meat smell really good and delicious but the skin was too thick, maybe bit thinner will be perfect.
Service was fast and also they have parking at the side of the restaurant.
Pad thai also recommends.
Reasonable price recommend for family.

I love to go in this location, the ambiance is nice and clean, food is good and excellent customer service. I always order a platters for birthday and picnics. Highly recommended.
As a Vietnamese, this restaurant did a great job serving the traditional Bun Bo Hue. My friend ordered Pho Sate and she enjoyed it.
The price could be a bit high for students, but considering the location and service, it's worth it. Overall, it's a pleasant experience.
Came here on Saturday and I was entociacated the bar service. Jordan and Brittany are girls that should be down in Vegas. They could not stop hyping the club up.. and I'm addition so kind. I had an amazing margarita and these two could b the hottest girls I've ever seen. If you're going there on a Friday/Saturday.. I'll be there. Also music was nice.

The food here is delicious! I would have to say it's some of the best Chinese food I have ever experienced. The atmosphere is nice, clean, and all in all great! I would highly recommend to go here!
This hole-in-a-wall is a gem! We had the beef pho, pork lemongrass banh mi (with free iced coffee!) and some spring rolls — SO GOOD and so well-priced! We’ll be back (and know that this place will be our go-to for banh mi and pho!
Went in there for a bowl of soup ended up coming out with a ton of appetizers and they were all just delicious really enjoyed the wings a lot and next time I go there I'll probably just stick to the salt and pepper wings myself thanks myself. I had a Vietnamese beef stew soup and it was just delicious the meat was very ample no complaints there and the broth was quite tasty. I didn't see much on the saute side of things but I will try it again will definitely be back

Great place to stop for a quick lunch. I quite enjoy the Vietnamese subs here. The meat is fried up when you order and the sauce is simple. Really can't beat the price. Stop by if your in the mall and looking for a tasty inexpensive quick lunch

We got a flyer in our mail so thought we would try it out. I had heard good things. The red curry here is awesome. We had it with the coconut rice. Despite the “spicy” in the name, you can get everything without spice.

I like that they have free delivery within 3km and you get free things if you order over a certain amount. We ordered over $40 and got some really yummy chicken fried rice.

Here is the flyer with the promos.

A really unique and different addition to the Calgary scene.

Drinks are top notch with their well vodka being Stoli! The ability to order food from upstairs is awesome.

Came here on a Thursday with a group of friends and didn’t know what to expect, but left surprisingly happy and with the desire to come back again soon!
They're a cute little bar. They've got great staff, drinks, and food. Somehow they've mixed industrial and eclectic decor to create a cozy atmosphere. Love the drag shows here as well. It's always great to have another LGBT bar in the city.
The girl bartender is sassy in all the right ways.

I guess you could say that for the rest of the bartenders as well.

Really fun night thanks alot
I've been here a quite a few times and always recommend the space for friends visiting from out of town. The beautiful stained-glass feature is a sight on its own. The times I've been here, I have really enjoyed myself. The drinks are great and the staff are very welcoming!
Post-pandemic update: still my favorite place for pho in Calgary! The satay beef is still excellent, and with more spice than I remember. Highly recommend this place! Keep it in business!

I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the satay pho is here. The extra large portion was incredibly generous, and for once so big that I couldn't finish it even though I always finish the largest bowls at other pho restaurants. The soup was beefy and fragrant with a good satay spice level and a hint of peanut. Meat portion is very generous and served rare in the broth and so cooked to the perfect tenderness. On my second visit I tried the deluxe plain beef pho. The broth was on the sweet side though extremely fragrant. Portion was extremely generous and the beef very tender. I will be a regular customer here!

Nothing special about My Vietnamese Delight, but the food is cheap and gets dished out quick. The décor is outdated and the tables are cramped. Service was okay when I went, minus a "thank you" or a smile. The food portions are good for what you get and definitely have flavour, but not a ton of quality to be found here. This place might not survive if it wasn't for its location.
