This used to be a favourite for downtown breakfast. But our visit today may have changed this. I requested the classic breakfast and asked to sub the toast and potato hash for some fruit. I was told that the fruit would have an extra charge. When it arrived, I had 1 strawberry, 2 grapes, and two 1-inch pieces of melon chopped into tiny pieces! The waitress told me I'd be charged $2.50 extra for this!!! I know fruit is expensive, but you want me to believe that the amount above costs $2.50 more than 2 slices of toast and some potato hash??
My companions also noticed a drastic difference in quality and quantity of food provided. The hash was anemic and looked like what you'd buy in the supermarket. The plate was half full!
The place was empty, and our service was still lacking, we got a water refill after we had finished our food and only one request for more coffee.
For the cost and previous experience. Today was very disappointing, and we will probably find another location for breakfast.
I order some food from this restaurant when my order arrive was all messy and I call then to let then know about my order they toll me I was going to get credit but they're not responsible for they actions

Good brunch place at the centre of Beltline and Downtown area. Parking can be tricky so plan ahead. This diner can get busy as early as 10am, waitlist is a must! I find their pancakes dry and bland. We like the ambience though, and the room is wide open with no dividers. It feels like a community. Servers were fast and attentive, though they poached my eggs when I told her I wanted it scrambled.
Best Satay Beef Pho I've ever eaten. Service is incredibly fast, and their Jasmine tea is amazing.
This is the 7th time I have driven 30 minutes to come get one of my favorite subs. 11:10 am on a Friday. You would think they would have the courtesy to update there website and say it's closed. But nope they don't consider there customer's. And yes people will say just call them. Even when they are open I have a hard time getting through on the phone line. JUST UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE IF YOUR NOT GOING TO BE OPEN. Unfortunately as much as I do like there subs they are loosing my business as of today. I had enough of this ungrateful business.
As a pho lover I haven’t tried this spot yet. The broth has a distinct Chinese flavour, the noodles were perfectly cooked. The beef was soft and well cut very thinly. The veggies could have been a bit more fulsome but over all solid meal.
Extremely Disappointing Experience!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine. Today, we placed an order for 6 subs for takeout around 11:30 AM. We arrived to pick up our order at 4 PM, well within the store's operating hours (they close at 5 PM). However, to our shock, we were informed that our order had been sold because they assumed we weren't going to pick it up.

The lack of communication and courtesy was astonishing. A simple phone call to confirm our pickup would have saved us the trouble of driving to the store. Instead, we were met with a complete lack of professionalism. When we entered the store, a male employee (possibly the owner's son) was cleaning and displayed a dismissive attitude, making it clear he didn't want to talk to us and gestured for us to leave.

The mother, who was somewhat nicer, informed us that our sub had been sold because we were allegedly late. This is despite us arriving an hour before their closing time. Their rudeness and the blatant disregard for customer service left a sour taste in our mouths.

While I cannot comment on the quality of their subs, I can say with certainty that I won't be returning to Thi Thi Vietnamese Submarine. The people running this establishment seem to think they are above common courtesy and believe customers have no other options. I can assure them that we can find better service elsewhere. Good luck to those who continue to line up for subs here.

Came to have lunch with the staff, asked if we can pay separately and the waitress agreed. Waited for 30 min for water. One hour for food. No communication skills. Never gave any discounts. Food was disgusting. And when it was time to pay they said you can’t pay separately. The worst service ever.
Worst service I have ever had came to lunch we sat there for over a half hour before we even got water didn't get out food for over an hour didn't get half our order and when it came time to pay when we told them it would be seperate bills to begin with they then tried to say we couldn't do that anymore and refused to give us discounts even though we couldn't even eat our food there as everyone had to go back to work worst service ever would never go back there

According to the employee, there will be an additional fee for hot sauce for ordering pick up through doordash. The serving sizes are small. Considering that the price of chicken vermicelli is around $18.00, GST included.
Decent food! Their Peking duck definitely isn’t the best in the city but it still hits the craving! Shanghai noodles were quite tasty as well. Would not recommend the salted fish and chicken fried rice, got a really bad stomach ache after eating it since the chickens texture tasted kinda off.

Went here on a whim, and I can honestly say that they make some of the best food that I have had in many, many years. Everything that we ordered was perfect. Ginger Beef was amazing, not greasy, and not hard and crusty.
The servings were plenty and we had totake the rest home. Great for leftovers the next day. The prices are great, not outrageous.
Our server was very sweet and made sure that we were happy with everything.
I would highly recommend Bamboo Gardens.
When you first go through the doors, it doesn't seem like there would be a restaurant. The ONLY drawback is the fact that you have to go up a set of many stairs to get to the actual restaurant. I have a hard time with stairs and would be willing to go up the again for such wonderful food.
They also deliver 🙂🙂

We had a late stop as we were driving through Calgary and ordered a dinner for two plus salt and pepper calamari. The server pointed out that their servings were big and we might not need an extra dish but we opted to order the calamari anyway. Wow, she was right, the servings were huge but more importantly delicious! The server was part of the family run business provided excellent service. Best Chinese food we’ve had in forever!!!

We stumbled upon this place on a random Wednesday evening after moving to the west end of downtown. Unbelievable food AND service. Top notch atmosphere. I would highly recommend sitting at the bar if Steven is serving… he gave us a whole run down of the menu and was so lovely to chat with. The Pollo was the incredible, best calamari in the city. Can’t say enough great things about this place. We will be back :) YUM!

Ordered pickup recently. It was ready quite quickly and most dishes were fine, but the Chicken Chowmein would rate a 2 /10. It was basically some sauced chicken & vegetables dumped on top of undercooked ramen noodles. Un-eatable.
Love this place! Located in a quaint little mall in Calgary's Chinatown. Very traditional Vietnamese cuisine, so plenty of options on the menu with tendon/tripe/flank, but also plenty without. They are willing to substitute vegetables for noodles in their Pho options if you wish. Staff are friendly and professional and the decor is quite nice! Dishes we had are pictured 🙂
Amazing heated patio for a cozy evening. The staff is courteous and helpful with suggestions. Loved the preparation of pollo.
I'm really enjoying the curry seafood, ginger chicken, and fresh mixed vegetables here. They're super delicious!
Delicious pho and vermicelli bowl that satisfied our Vietnamese food craving! The atmosphere was really homey and service was prompt and kind.
My wife and I had spicy beef pho, beef noodle bowl and spring rolls. The food was great, great flavour, service was great. My new favourite pho in Calgary.

We've been going to the Dragon Pearl since 1986. It's always worth the drive regardless where we're coming from! Best Chinese food in Calgary.
This type of food is not for me. atmosphere is good . Price is reasonable. My other friend loved this food.

One of the worst dishes I've ever had at a restaurant. The ambiance and staff were great though.

Gnocchi - 5/10. Oddly grainy, tomatoes were fresh and cheese didn't make the dish overly salty

Burrata - 8/10. Burrata and mint with the nuttiness of the pistachio and toasted focaccia

Focaccia - 7/10. It's bread.

Spaghetti Carbonara - 2/10. The saltiest dish I have ever tried. The amount/saltiness of the cheese made the dish inedible and we had to take the dish home to add more noodles.

Linguine Vongole - 4/10. Great portion of mussels in the dish. Noodles cooked well. Overall dish was quite bland.

Drinks - 10/10. We shared multiple cocktails that were all wonderful. Best cocktails I've had in Calgary.

Last time the food was perfect. But this time the vegetables had way too much oil as if their trying to hide the bitterness of the plant almost going bad.
Very clean place and friendly staff. Some of the best soup I've had!

Nice environment and friendly staffs. Went to brunch for two consecutive days. They have vegetarian options. I ordered the avocado toast on the first day, and tried Fried Chicken Benedict on other day. Great taste. Don’t forget to reserve your seat before to avoid wait time.
Well this spot is more disappointing than expected. The reviews showed this spot to be top notch. But I was sadly underwhelmed. The vibe is decent as it’s your standard Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. But the food just didn’t vibe with other spots I’ve enjoyed. I’m sure it’s worth a second try but sadly this wasn’t up to snuff. The spot it’s self was modest and had decent seating. The area is ok for parking but may be hard to find since it’s located in a mall.

Overall not the best or worst. Thankfully service was prompt and it was a chill atmosphere.

Terrible experience, so unorganized that it is basically chaos in here. High prices and mediocre portions. Rude staff when asked any questions about food. Seated at 713pm and ordered within a few minutes even though they only gave 1 menu for the table. 835pm and the order still is not out. Tables are being served out of order too, simply put this place is just garbage.

Do your self a favor and skip this place

Update --- deep fried crab claw came out, it was good enough, $7 each

850pm plate of choi came out

915, gave up and left... wife still paid
I went there on weekday lunch time, the restaurant is not that big, with full of people, we had to waiting for 10min to be seated.

The rice noodle roll with fried dough is really good is my favorite.

Waitress was really polite and serve on time!

Overall will come back. My friends usually buy the freezer dim sum take out!
Atmosphere doesn’t really apply here anymore. Anyway I think their BBQ pork fried rice is one of the best I’ve had in the city. From what I’ve ordered, everything has been really good.

Our family has been coming here for years and we are never disappointed. We normally do take out but the few times we’ve eaten in, it has been very pleasant. They are very nice and the food is amazing!
Ordered Sweet and Sour Pork and Pork Dumplings. Food was all very dry, bland, and seems old and microwaves.
This was my first and LAST time I order from this restaurant. I ordered a few things on the menu, which were just OK but the Absolute worst was their Lemon chicken! The chicken was hard as a Rock! I kid you not it was so tough we could not bite into it! That chicken must be either old or left under a heat lamp all day! It was a waste of money because we could not even eat the dish!

In the past few years, dim sum and eating out has become less affordable. However, this place has excellent value, prices are reasonable, and portions are large.
When we went, I believe they were short staffed (like pretty much everywhere else). So I can't speak to how good service would be if fully staffed. However, it was what you'd expect with a couple of people working their butts off trying to take care of everyone.

Don't expect much out of the atmosphere. You're not paying a lot of money to dine here - picture a cafeteria with some nicer decor.
I don't think they're here to give you an amazing night out. They're here to run a business and feed you at affordable prices.

All in all, I would come back here again.

Good portion for the price. Quick service.
Their best noodle soup here is their Bun Bo Hue. It’s spicy, aromatic, and super filling. It comes with fried beef balls and lots of beef flank. Incredibly delicious. A must try if you’re in Calgary chinatown!
Enjoyed ginger beef and cashew chicken. Excellent. Ginger beef was crispy and had excellent sauce, lots of cashews with the chicken and a wonderful variety of vegetables. Delicious. Excellent service. The building is very old giving a taste of Calgary's history. Highly recommend this place.

Classic. Not a fine dining atmosphere, it’s not designed to be. Clean and simple. Food was great, service was amazing. On keto so asked if I could have veggies added to a meat dish. No problem, and not just a bunch of celery, they added RED peppers, carrot, onion, zucchini mushroom and celery. Cooked perfectly. I went for the hot sauce, and she noticed so went and grabbed every other type they had and brought it to me. I was alone and had to take a call outside, when I came back she asked if I wanted it heated up. Who could ask for anything more? I’ll be back!
Top notch Vietnamese food. Large portions and a little higher priced but you get what you pay for. Certainly not a great atmosphere but the service was very attentive, they brought out the salad rolls immediately and the main dishes were out about 5 min later. Kept the water full and the taste was so so good.
It was definitely worth the wait! There are long lines, on any day. I can't even suggest a good time to go.

I was told to come at 10.30 when the store opens and as you can see it's crowded and mind you there are people behind me, as well.

YOU CAN PAY BY CARD, I carried cash due to some reviews but dw you can pay online. I had the Beef Sate and it was sooo YUM.

I can confirm this sub is the best viet sub in Calgary.

Been going here since I was 14 years old. Same owners. Food has always been great. Easy to order online and pick up.

Down side….nothing has been updated as far as carpet, bathrooms and decor since I was 14. Bussiness looks worn, but food is perfect.

Nice brunch place in downtown. Had the grilled chicken sandwich and the avocado toast. Both were very good and would highly recommend. I have been coming to this place for close to 10 years now and it is a shadow of what it used to be. It was impossible to get a table in the whole place, now the front is barely full. The food has changed as well. Sandwich was pretty much empty and the salad roll was an extra $3.29. 40min to pickup a sandwich is a little much. Sadly this place is cut. Go a little further down the street to Express if you are in this part of downtown.

Amazing amazing restaurant. I had a family outing here and it was lovely. It was so good, that we had lunch and came back for dinner. We had the Peking duck meal and it was a hit! Seating wasn't a hassle. We had the servers bringing up our meals in a timely fashion. The taste was incredible, the payments were seamless. You'll see loads of people there, but the staff is very efficient. I'll definitely come back again.
An institution in Calgary - been coming here for Vietnamese subs since I was in high school in the 2000s. The quality hasn’t changed at all after all this time, which is a very good thing. It’s a hole in the wall and is takeout only, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a better banh mi in Calgary, especially at such a great price. Everything is fresh and the highlight is the sate beef. Family owned and operated, they recognize and greet all their loyal customers - this a true local business. Selfishly, I hope they continue to run the shop for many more years to come. A must visit if you’re looking for a tasty Vietnamese sub.
This Chinese restaurant is in the Ingowood community of Calgary and it's has been there same name and same location
since the 80's. Recommand tan tan noodle and steam soup dumpling.
Was lucky enough that there was no line, the man beside me(who appears to be a regular) told me it normally takes 15 mins on waiting.
The owner is friendly and recommended the beef for first-time biters. But it’s spicy and I was not in the mood and thus chose sate chicken as the start. I followed the owner’s advice and ate it right away.
The portion is big! Bread is still warm and crispy 😋 Chicken is juicy and the veggies are fresh. They put slice cheese in it before toasting the bread, and it worked perfectly with the chicken!
The location is good, it’s the best lunch for a picnic!

I love this place. They give a kettle of tea instead of water, which is very nice. Pho is delicious there. The food is served in a couple of minutes. A great place to eat in Calgary Downtown

Good place for family eat-out. The Peking Duck was excellent. The duck was freshly prepared and quickly served as well as the wraps. It was very juicy.
We came here for our 4 year anniversary and everything was spectacular and we had a special romantic evening. The service and our waitress were super friendly and courteous and helpful.. We ordered quite a few items to eat and all were fantastic, tasted great and were served hot and delicious. The ambience outside and in was very inviting and warm.

We had such an amazing experience! From the minute we walked in we were greeted with such great hospitality. Our server, Tatyana, was very attentive and made our experience so special. The food was also delicious and the wine 👌🏽! We can’t thank you all enough for a great night out!
This is the prime Chinese restaurant to bring your entire Chinese extended family to. They have reasonable prices for great quality and authentic Chinese food. There's few restaurants that do the 3 part Peking duck combo. My family especially likes their salt and pepper squid (they're pretty large chunks!), their shrimp (sorry I only know it in Chinese but it has a nice kick with the chili peppers), beef and gai lan, etc. There hasn't really been a dish we've been disappointed with each time we tried something new.

My family likes doing late night dinners and there's always tables with no wait.
I have come to Thi Thi from time to time over the years and their sandwiches are been tasty. The bread is soft & chewy on the inside while crunchy on the outside. On this occasion, we got the assorted cold cut, sate chicken, and super chicken & beef.

The meats are marinated well and quite tender, especially the beef. The spreads (including the pate) have a nice flavor which compliments the sandwiches.

The biggest complaint is that the amount of fillings in the sandwich are fairly scant. The layer of meat is as thin as can be and does not cover the entire bread surface on the inside. The assorted cold cut has maybe 2 kinds of cuts. This makes the bread to everything else ratio very high, especially compared to other places. Their sandwiches are also more expensive so overall, they do not feel as worth it.

Not a bad place to get a quick bite if in the area but would not be making this a regular stop.
Seems to have gone down hill. All of our food tasted like they have been cooking with old rancid deep fry oil. Even the wor won ton soup seemed off.

To make matters worse I just found a piece of metal in my left over noodles, never again.
A meal fit for a king, awesome flavors, great portions, it's so good I have been there 4 times since visiting Calgary!! a must ,you should come...
Ordered last night, was looking to find a new fave…
Found disappointment instead! I have never ordered food and especially Chinese food that literally had no taste?? It was the most bizarre thing! I honestly am still so confused how the smell was great but no flavor. It was beyond bland, it was like fake food products made from flour…. Still so confused. We will never order again.

Really great service, our server was really helpful and attentive. Food came out fast and was really good! The chicken and waffles didn’t have as much chicken as I expected, otherwise great experience. Also didn’t realize they have a coffee flight until after we already ordered our coffee so will definitely try that next time!
Tried the hot and sour soup for takeout lunch, got a small and the portion size was huge. Really delicious and fresh, spice level was perfect, great value. Will be returning soon!

I am happy to write a positive review for Bamboo Gardens, a classic neighborhood Chinese food restaurant located just outside Calgary's downtown core at 1603 18 St NE. Although I haven't been to this restaurant for years due to a decline in quality, I recently gave it another chance and was pleasantly surprised by the food's consistency, flavor, and quality.

One thing that struck me when I walked in was how little the decor and furniture had changed since I was a child in the 90s. I might have even recognized some of the fish in the tank! However, I soon realized that the familiar surroundings only added to the charm and nostalgia of the experience.

But what matters most is the food, and Bamboo Gardens did not disappoint. Every dish was hot, fresh, and full of flavor, reminding me of why I loved this restaurant in the first place.

Overall, I was impressed with Bamboo Gardens and am happy to have rediscovered this gem. Don't let the old-school decor fool you; the food is fantastic, and I look forward to ordering from them again soon. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Chinese cuisine in Calgary.
No need to argue this is the best Chinese cuisine in Calgary. With the fair price, excellent food and service, I highly recommend this place for anyone, big or small family, couple, students, or even elders. They special food everyday with the best price. For couple I suggest combo 163 and 89 which costs around 35$. Remember to tip the service because most of the servers in there are elders. I guarantee you will have a great time in this restaurant. Let me know what is your favorite combo of food. :)

Absolutely great! The service was above and beyond! It felt like we were visiting family despite it being the first time we'd met. The food was outstanding, well balanced, great portions and great flavors. We will definitely return to try more items on thier great menu!
I've been eating here since the early 80's. In time, we left Calgary, but whenever we come to |Calgary, The Dragon Pearl is our pearl for a fantastic chinese meal. If it's not on the menu...ask them if they can make it. Every dish is worth trying and I've never seen anyone complain about the taste. If its a cold day, try to sit away from the door, but if I had to sit near it, it wouldn't stop me from staying to eat.

This place is very close to my parents so we enjoy the convenience. We often come for dim sum. It's a bit more expensive than other places but the quality of the food is still good. We enjoy every dish we order and the portions are plentiful.

The shanghai noodles arent super great however (see picture) There are better dim sum locations but if you're nearby then I would recommend a visit.
The very best yet affordable Vietnamese sub in Calgary. It’s a small place and a family business. Very nice owners. You won’t be disappointed. Prepare to be in the line for a while if you go during rush hour !
I haven't been here for 3 years, but the food was 10/10 . Just left very satisfied
It was my first time to have Chinese dim sum lunch here. The waiting time was horrible. They don’t have a system to serve their customers waiting in line at the door. The tables were tightly fitted. Their were no service at all during my entire dining time. The waitress was not too friendly either. The food quality was just ok but the worse dish was the pan-fried turnip cakes. It was the worst one I ever had. It was bland and lack of ingredients. It tasted like eating a turnip mix with no flavour. The most unacceptable part was to pay the bill at the end of the meal. I had to wait in front of the counter for a long time and then their debit & credit card machine did not work, so everyone in line had to find enough cash to pay for their bill. It’s not worth it, I will never visit again!
Got grilled dumplings (misspelled on the menu as "Orilled Pork Dumplinga") which were the only thing barely passable as food, but still had to throw them out because they had no flavour. The wonton soup had zero flavour and was room temperature at best, so it also got chucked out. And finally, the so-called "Tormonese Chow Mein" had gelatinous globs of 'meat" of inconsistent temperatures and thicknesses,.and the baby corn was grey/black and had hard bits at the stems. I tried to eat around the 'meat' to enjoy the noodles, but they were flavorless so I chucked it too. I basically spent $52 for inedible trash and will be going to bed hungry. I hope I survive the night.

On a positive note, they spelled my name right on the packaging.
I would say this Chinese restaurant is that best value for your money. Very large portions. You would pay same price at other Chinese restaurants with 1/2 -2/3 of phoenix portions. Super busy here recommend book tables and Peking duck. It will sold out quickly. Deep fried shrimp ball is best in town. Parking is not so great that that would be troublesome for customers to find parking.
One of the few open late Chinese restaurants in town. Dishes was good. Salt fish fried is very good and vegetables dishes are seasoned well.

We went there for dim sum on Tuesday around 12;30. The place is quite full with only couple of empty tables. The dim sum were good and huge portions. However, the service is fairly slow. I can only see 3 people working on the front serving. All in all, I still enjoy the visit
Absolutely the best authentic Chinese food I had in a long time!!

First, the food portion is HUGE, typically larger than most places. I was shocked how much food you get on a plate, while some places are cutting back on portion size. Second, every single dish comes out shinny, yes shinny, like it was in some oil bath.. presentation looks gorgeous! Third, the food is delicious, comes out hot and full of flavours.. Definitely will return for more epic chinese food!

The service was excellent and the staff was super friendly...
Had Peking Duck 3 course meal. Pricing was decent and the food was really good. The duck wrap part - the duck was a bit greasy but still tasty. There were lots of wrap for the first course so it was great. If there were more of the veggies it would be perfect as we ran out of that before the course was over. We had the duck soup and the thick noodles. Both were very good and for two people, you definitely get leftovers. Would definitely go back.

We ordered the “Special Combination Dinner”. For only $15.95 we had so much food we couldn’t finish it all. It was delicious!
The service was fast and the staff wonderfully friendly. The outside might not look like much but it’s worth stopping in!
This is Calgary’s number one Vietnamese sub sandwich there is many imitators and lots of other places but this is the number one for flavour and quality! they have been here 30+ years delivering the number one sub sandwich to the community and I keep coming back and introducing new people to this place every! Every single sandwich is built with love and care and quality and flavour it’s so hard to match this beautiful offering from this tight family of food lovers

A great family-run restaurant, that I have been going to for more than 20 years. Their freshly- made Chinese dishes are great, and come in generous portions. In addition, their all-day breakfasts and Western lunch items are also excellent, and good value.
The food we ordered was delicious! It wasn't cheap, but very much worth it. The Ginger Beef was outstanding and the dumplings actually had a decent amount of meat in them. Pad Thai and the Wonton Soup were all outstanding! We will definitely go back.

Came here for a birthday dinner. We ordered a variety of food instead of the set menu. The first couple of dishes - beef noodles, shrimp balls, jelly fish chicken was bland. We’re used to having bold flavour from places like TPot so the food here fell short. The rest of the food was subpar. Service was better than TPot for sure. I asked my wife if she preferred good food or good service and we both agree on good food. Overall, this place was average for us.
We ordered take-out on a Sunday evening. We had 2 wonton soups, the fried shrimp and 2 main dishes (spicy shrimp and orange chicken). There was a fair amount of meat in the dishes. The orange chicken is rather ordinary, I dont recommend it.
Been here a couple times over the years and more so since they opened up after covid. Restaurant is super close to my office and I crave Vietnamese frequently. Honestly this is some of the best Vietnamese I've ever had. Portions are fantastic and I've often times had to take left over. Staff has always been pleasant and friendly. I can pop over here on my 1 hour lunch break and get a great meal and be back in the office in a timely fashion.
Emerald Palace is our go-to restaurant for Chinese delicacy whenever we crave for wor wonton soup and salt & pepper prawn.

This restaurant is under new management (was previously Edgemont City).

Decent Chinese food. The prices are on the higher side, though the portions are fairly generous. The dine-in meals and options are better than the takeout for both their preparation and portions.
I ordered pick up, got the #55 Thai Sweet and Spicy Chicken. What I got (picture below) was so different than what was on the website that I initially thought they given me the wrong order! It was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT how drastically the website picture was from what I got. The picture on their website had bits of chicken with sesame seeds while I got none the pictures had no veggies while I got a lot of jt. The amount of chicken given was super small. It was half of what I got from #51 Chili garden cashew nuts. That dish was OK and enjoyable.

Very disappointed in this resturant.

Absolutely amazing food and service! Our waitress was so genuine and friendly and we all loved the dishes we ordered. We got the Tagliatelle Bolognese, the trout and the Pappardelle. Also the lemon olive oil cake is our new favourite dessert. 10/10 would come back again.
I don’t usually give such a low rating so I’ll try to explain myself. I ordered food here in 2017 it was a terrible sloppy mess that took me three years to forgive. I decided in 2020 to try again, it didn’t go any better. The restaurant itself is clean and well presented with lots of parking available, but we came here for food. It was not good.

Ugh it’s so good! I’m super picky but, I was actually really impressed. The portions are great and it was well worth the money. I just tried it for the first time tonight and ordered it through skip. I got the C3. 17+ 17. (It came with a delicious spring roll) It would have been 5 stars but, they gave me chow mein as a side instead of sweet and sour chicken balls like I ordered. Still not bothered by it because the food was SO good. Will definitely order again.

Just would like to add that the take out chop sticks are very brittle so you might want to use your own.

Tasty food - rude service.
I walked in the front door 15 minutes before my scheduled pickup time for take out. I smiled and said " Hi there, I'm here for a skip the dishes order, but I'm really early - so I'll just wait, no rush! "
The lady at the front said ok and went in the back - she re-emerged with a man who said " YOU ARE EARLY, TOO EARLY, THE ORDER ISN'T READY". I told him the same thing I had already told the first person and said not to worry I wasn't in any sort of rush. The place was empty so I'm not sure why 3 salad rolls was going to take them an hour to make anyhow .
Anyways I was scolded once again when I went to leave, " Next time look at the pickup time".
The food was good but I was pretty annoyed by the overreaction on their part. I also received one blown out salad roll, likely an F U of sorts, for sitting patiently while they made my order.
Authentic and flavorful food. The quality can differ from day to day though. For example, vegetables can be crisp one day or either chewy/old the next day. Overall it is a very good restaurant to dive into cantonese cuisine. It's a small and quaint but delivers on what dining is typically like for chinese food. I'd recommend that people order from the traditional cantonese menu for an authentic taste because they have two menus (1 for cantonese, 1 for "american" chinese food).

Service is average. No smiles or consistency at all. It's rather loud in the evening when the restaurant is full.
