Amazing restaurant with a beautiful setting. We had the opportunity to walk the beautiful garden between courses. Excellent service and staff, Chef Dean is an absolute artist. The food cannot be compared to any other restaurant I have been to in Calgary. Not many places get the atmosphere and the food right, it’s usually one or the other.

The best part was the service... Staff are very friendly and attentive. 3 stars because the food was just okay and for the price point I would have expected better. Lamb was a little too rare, flank steak was pretty good but the sides left a lot to be desired. The Agnolotti was the best dish. Overall definitely not a bad dining experience but if you're looking to be wowed by the food then probably choose somewhere else.

Hubby took me to Cassis for date night… it’s like leaving Calgary for a few hours, and being immersed in South France. Food is amazing, we had a bottle of wine, starters a meal and dessert. Every bite was as amazing as the last. It’s pricey, but very worth it. 100% recommend

Perhaps it was because it was during Mother’s Day, that the overall service and quality of the food felt sub-par, however I must say that I was quite disappointed with the overall experience.

I booked this restaurant a month in advance as a treat for my family, due to the stellar reviews and beautifully crafted pieces posted by many other diners (exquisite looking, with mini decorated flowers, and overall looked as though each piece was executed to perfection and embodied the very essence of fine dining itself).

We went with the 6 course chef’s tasting menu.

Needless to say, the food that was present to us came out looking rather poorly assembled (see the pictures) and just felt like somebody slapped everything together due to it having been a full house for Mother’s Day.

Our server was very nice, however often stuttered and quite obviously did not know what food they presented us with, as they struggled to find the words and ingredients while explaining each detail of the dish they brought out.

My family member’s dessert was burnt and almost a dark-brown colour, compared to the other dessert which was a lighter brown colour as in the picture. We didn’t bring it up as it was over closing and would’ve taken further time to prepare another.

My go to for Japanese dinning inner city NW. This establishment is Japanese owned and operated. Staff are super friendly, fish is fresh and the variety is great for nigiri, sashimi and rolls. Being half Japanese and capable of making my own sushi at home, I find the quality here to be excellent value for spend. This place gets busy so reservations are recommended. My favourites off the menu are the Anzu house special roll, foto maki roll, spicy scallop nigiri, mackerel nigiri and agedashi tofu

Impressively one of the top 10 dining I've had in the past decade. The flavor profiles, textures, presentation and plating was thoughtful and deliberate. The service was on point and never had to ask for anything. The menu was so good, it was hard to choose. We got the pork belly and it was like candy and melted perfectly. The halibut was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Dessert. I could of had several. Love the small touches with extra complimentary bites as well.

The best french restaurant in Calgary with no doubt.
We have been here several times for dinner and lunch. We're so satisfied with all of the meals we ordered. Every dish was really tasty with flavour. Try their mussels, you'll know what I meant so tasty. Remember to order extra bread to dip with the mussel sauce to enjoy the full flavor in your mouth.

Nice, quaint restaurant - I was craving for moules frites in the city that's done right - this hit the spot. We tried the Provençal and Vaudovan curry Moules frites. I can't take a favorite, they're both delicious. Pair it with their beautiful Chardonnay and order the French Martini to cap it off. We're about 40 kms away from the restaurant, and we'd happily go back to try the rest of the menu items. The calamari was also delicious. I wanted to order the tartare, but it was unavailable when we were there.

Lovely little restaurant. Food was really high quality.. the restaurant was busy and full (which is always a good sign) and we had a lovely evening. We ordered the steak frites, duck confit, beef tartar and my husband loved his crème brûlée. I had a lovely cappuccino at the end of the night. Will definitely be back.
We've been searching for a Thai place since we moved to the area and this place has beat out every other one we've tried. Food was excellent, atmosphere and service was exceptional and even though they were busy (make reservation if you are going on a weekend) our food was out quick! We will definitely be back!
I would not go there again. Food was bland and had no taste and portions were very small. Spicy food was lacking heat. Pad Thai was overly sweet and pale in color. Meat portions were also lacking, shrimp pieces were even more meager. No sticky rice other than regular white rice. Lady/owner was pushy and seemed impatient. No smile, no thank you, thought Thai people were supposed to be friendly.

Rouge is located at the corner, off the main path with off-street parking. It has an atmosphere of the past, entrance door Mail slot, fireplace below and huge outdoor patio. Delightful gourmet menu for a special occasion dining won't disappoint you.
Pho Huong Viet offers an authentic Vietnamese experience. The pho dac biet was exceptional, with a rich broth, tender beef, and perfectly cooked noodles. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were friendly. A must-visit for pho lovers and anyone craving Vietnamese cuisine.

Have fallen in love all over again with this wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Tonight, my son & I dined at Purlieu and we were not disappointed. After a minor misstep in late December, I agreed to giving them another chance and so glad I did. The food is absolutely divine, the service is exceptional and the atmosphere is relaxing & calm. I will most definitely return again and again. 5++++ stars in my books!!

The food arrived hot which we enjoyed However Im shocked at how small the 1/4 chicken dark meat meal has become yet the price keeps increasing. I feel they try to justify by giving what seems a double serving of fries. I order Swiss Chalet for their chicken NOT the fries. This is why the mediocre rating
Ordered the Sate Chicken soup through skip and the broth must have spilled because when we opened the bag this is all I received from the broth and all other dishes were soaked. Very disappointed.
This place is awesome! Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of my fantastic meal. I haven't had Vietnamese food since I was in Vietnam a few years ago and I've been missing it. The restaurant was nice and clean, everyone working there was nice, and the food was exceptional. I also love the fact that they are open at 10 which is nice when you want Vietnamese food at a brunch hour.

From Linda: Our Mid-Sun Senior group (20 of us) went to Swiss Chalet last night (Feb 20) for one of our monthly pub nights. I have not been to Swiss Chalet myself for many, many years. I must say that Sam (Manager) was so welcoming and friendly with all of us "older" people and it really was a great time. Lydia was our Waitress and she was very efficient and right on top of all the orders. The food was great - some of us even ordered extra to take home. Big thanks to Sam, Lydia and Moe!
Just had the 2 can dine for 19.99 today the meat was very pink to much for my liking the service was good once I told that I was not comfortable eating the meat because of how pink it was they did accomandate to switch the quarter legs for breast which was very nice at no additional cost which was very nice indeed so service was great and hospitality was awesome. Once the chicken breast came out again it was to pink for my liking I know rotisserie chicken can have some pink and it depends of the temperature of the chicken but this level of pink almost a redish pink is to risky for me I tried picking at the meat to eat the white parts but was not very appetizing. Perhaps it was just a bad chicken day but overall I would say drinks and hospitality are a 10/10 server Sarah is great! But the chicken I rather not say.
What a nice spot
Service was great, they never bothered us,
The food tasted great we wiped out the plates
Will go again to try the buffet it is only 20 bucks
The vibes, the decorations, everything is worth it
I jussst wish they put more meat, all restaurants never do

This place is Incredible! This is the best night out that we've experienced when looking for the Best service. The Best atmosphere. And the Best French food. 'Impeccable' French dishes that Purlieu Bistro offers - Magnificent!!!
We go to Purlieu and then go out to other places. Upon returning to Purlieu, we sit enjoying espresso and dessert with our guests. We reflect on how impressed we are and that this night soars above the others.

It leaves me with a feeling of an escape to France!

It's truly French! The chefs, the food, the libations and the service are all authentic, and SO Enjoyable!

Words just can't relate, but your senses can...

This is a spot hidden in a community in a strip mall that seems out of place. A true gem, and an experience you won't soon forget!!!

ENJOY!

I have dined in and my family and I have a server who remembers us, love it! This review is about a delivery experience:

I ordered from the website and it said my meal should be there super quick ( which I love).
But it never arrived.
I was heartbroken because I don’t need the credit, or the refund, I need the food.
I’m tired and hungry.
I had a bad day…I needed that sauce in my life.

Just when I had decided to have canned whatever, my doorbell rings. The lady I spoke to clearly told the restaurant and they sent out a CODE RED CHICKEN EMERGENCY! I got my chicken so fast and with a warm smile.
I’m so happy and relieved
Thank you so much!
I had the beef fried rice and spring rolls. I thought it was very good and would definitely get it again. I’d like to try the curry next time since it also looks good. Can’t comment on service and atmosphere since I ordered delivery.

This review is based off of the two times I have experienced dining at Rouge (once in the summer outside near the garden and once inside this NYE). I’m a fan of both menus though I must say there is something super special about dining here in the summer compared to winter.

They allow you to walk through the garden where you’re able to see all of the beautiful produce you’re about to dine on. You also get a chance to see the bees in action making the delicious honey that is incorporated into a dessert or dressing or some aspect of your meal and you’re also granted the viewing of seeing you chef personally select the produce prior to your meal coming out. It’s a lovely experience. I highly suggest the wine paring, though the staff are not necessarily sommeliers there is something charming about each introduction and a down to earth feel of the experience.

My summer meal was perfection from the amuse bouche to the mignardise (and yes even the palate cleansers!)

My winter meal was wholesome and an homage to Alberta cuisine. It was full and comforting with a touch elegance.

Went with a group of 6 people, cute place. The food was decent. I really enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli. I did not enjoy the fish of the day (pickerel with lobster bisque, potatoes and leeks). I think the lobster bisque may be a few days ripe, it was overpoweringly fishy.

Price point was reasonable, however service was painstakingly slow. It took over 3 hours and lots of waiting. The 20% auto gratuity seemed way too high for such slow service. I get that they are trying to provide fancy service, but I don't want to wait 50 minutes after dessert to pay and leave.
The one thing I definitely recommend is their spring rolls, always fresh, crispy with the perfect ratio of filling to wrapper. I also like their soup and I like their broth better than a lot of other places. I find that their bun ratio of noodles to the rest of stuff could be improved. I would like a bit more noodles and their nuoc cham sauce just a little too sweet. Service is usually great but there is not always someone available, partly because of the layout. If someone is at the cash you could be behind a wall and not realize their is someone there to flag down if you need something. Dining area is raised by a couple of steps so not the best for accessibility if you have a wheelchair. There's a parking lot behind the building or street parking.

I ordered chalet house dressing for my salad and was sent this disgusting Kraft stuff instead. The salad itself was bad (the yellow part of the lettuce) and the fries looked and tasted like they had been made a few days ago and reheated.

They used Doordash for delivery in case anyone else mistakenly thought they were supporting a restaurant that pays it's staff a living wage.
My wife and I tried Pho Han for the first time today. I honestly have to say this place was amazing. There’s many decent Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary. However, Pho Han stands out with its quick service, tasty food and reasonable prices. The restaurant itself has maintained a lot of the charm from its previous existence as an Italian spot. Including frescos and interesting wall art. The servers were friendly and very fast (food came out in minutes.) They provided tea on the house and extra basil when I asked. The food, both Pho and Vermicelli, were delicious, hot and well cooked. I will definitely go back to Pho Han for another meal. This restaurant will for sure become my new go to spot for Vietnamese.

It took a wait time of 20 minutes for the server to come and then to finally get a cup of coffee. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. Then they got part of my food order wrong. They brought green beans on a side plate. When they took main meal plate back to correct, they left the green beans on my table and had to ask to have them reheated when correct meal is brought. The green beans were not fully cooked and barely warm when brought back. Very slow on refilling my coffee. I even asked hostess for hot coffee and she said she'll bring me some AFTER she cleans another table first. Then she totally forgot to bring more coffee, I had to ask again, twice, to get more coffee. I was not impressed with the service at all. As well the chicken had alot of raw pink still inside the meat. Also because I'm not a big eater and am a senior, had asked the manager if they had a senior menu, he said no. I asked to order off kids menu, he said no. I asked if I could get half a regular meal, answer was no. Not very accommodating at this location. Am not used to this kind of service for at other SC locations, way better service.

Another Thai favourite spot!
A bit disappointing... came here for my anniversary Dec 10th at 2pm and wasn't pleased. Restaurant was empty only 1 other table occupied, asked to move tables (before being served anything) to the table next to us (more room). Received a response back by server saying "ummm... pause.. yeah okay sure.." while giving us a look. At the end of the meal I asked if I could order mango sticky rice, the server responded "we don't typically serve any more dishes until everything is finished on the table". I felt very awkward and a bit surprised.

The food was good, soups were the best but very small. Green curry was a bit watery, standard nothing amazing. Pad Thai was better. Mango sticky rice wasn't even a whole mango, maybe half? Total bill before tax was just under $90!! For 2 people.

Service 2/5
Food 3.5/5
Atmosphere 4/5
Great food and service. My hungover friend got a Vietnamese coffee which hit the spot for him. We ordered the pork salad rolls, pho sate, and vermicelli bowl with shrimp cake. Delicious!!
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary (I am Vietnamese btw). Food is top notch and great in value. Huge portion of Pho and Vermicelli bowl. The servers are super nice and friendly. Food service is super fast. Recommend the place for people who love authentic Vietnamese food.
Always my go to Thai restaurant! Their signature "terminator" dish is a must-try.
might be one of my new favourite place to get bun bo hue! I’ve been trying to find a spot that had a similar taste to my dads and I think this restaurants was pretty similar:) not too spicy and there wasn’t an overpowering taste of lemongrass! the service was super nice too! :)

We had a family dinner and tried out a few menu items. From the house salad, beef tettaki, sushi, sashimi, eggplant, ramen, and soba. Overall, it was good. Didn't wait too long for our dishes. We sat in the room to the right and it was a bit chilly. Insulation not the greatest, so bring a hoodie or jacket if you get cold easy. Menu items were simple and selection limited.
My family has been coming to this Vietnamese Restaurant for many years now. Our favourites are definitely the Pho Noodles! All their other dishes are equally sumptuous and they have so many dishes/choices on their menu. Sometimes we have to wait a big longer than usual during peak hours but it’s worth it when the food arrives… hot, delicious and appetizing! A nice cozy place to enjoy some hot meals.

Let’s start with the parking. The parking is small, so if they get busy, you’ll have the find street parking. It’s available on the side of the building.
Service was okay. Greeted with big smiles. They were efficient and food was ready shortly after.
They have quite a variety of set lunch/bento box. The portions are pretty big.
Food quality was decent. Nothing was a wow factor except for the tamago side dish.
I loved the sate beef pho, and was quite pleasantly surprised that the mango bubble tea was made with real mango and had a nice flavour. The waiter was a touch distracted, but that is a minor gripe.

Sometimes, however, the pho has too little broth or meat.

I went here for my birthday dinner it was great. The service was great but we had five appetizers and the mushroom soup and a bottle of wine it was unbelievable and we got to taste a lot of stuff on the menu. It was amazing the bill was 260$ for all of that French food and wine! Good deal. Definitely recommend
This place is quite cozy. I really like the décor.
I ordered the Pho special. The broth was good, but would have enjoyed it more if there were more rice noodles.

This place was delicious.
The lychee twist was fantastic.
The Thia iced tea was also delicious.
We had a few different plates including the lava pork( deadly taste) 🤤, bamboo chicken, panang curry beef, Calamari and salad rolls.
The service was fantastic with a smile and was nice enough to charge a phone for the table. Super tasty and would 100% recommend!!!!!!

Delicious Japan cuisine, highly recommend the chefs specials. I particularly enjoyed the 3 shellfish sashimi set. The ramen broth of the red shrimp set was flavourful and full of umami. Everything we ordered was of exceptional quality and taste. Our server was friendly and welcoming.

Good place for family dinner. Fun foods’ name, fun quotes around the wall.

Friendly staffs. Foods were delicious but quite spicy, you should ask for mild to taste it better. We ordered SOMTAM, surprisingly it not only went well with all main dishes, but also enhanced our meal!!

Overall, one of the best Thai restaurants in NE. Definitely will come back many times!!
It is the first time to have Thai cuisine in Calgary. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The food is so delicious especially the Pork Satay which we ordered one more after finishing the first round. The price is reasonable and more people to come, more food you could try.
Pretty average. The service was adequate but not very attentive or friendly. Decor was a weird blend of beautiful art and cliche signs. The food was tasty but unfortunately the portions were quite small. Overall, pretty forgettable.
Nice ambiance. We ordered crispy wonton, bang bang shrimp, lemongrass chicken wings, pin wheel in appetizers, bamboo chicken, chicken red curry, noodle delight, pineapple chicken fried rice in main course and banana flambe with coconut ice-cream in dessert.
The food and service were both good.
There is a small parking lot & Plenty street parking is available.

We came to Rouge for a special occasion. It's a small, quaint historical home situated in Inglewood. The atmosphere is relaxed with jazzy music playing in the background. I love how I was able to have a conversation without sitting too close to other tables or talking over the music. The food is delicious! We have become so accustomed to large portion sizes that the meals seemed rather small but when the QUALITY of your meal is high, your experience is so much better. Not only was our meal excellent but the service was fabulous! Our waiter was very attentive and knowldegable. Everything we had was so good and we left feeling very satisfied and full. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet date night. Make sure you bring someone who can appreciate the food and atmosphere.

Fries are good, the small portion of chicken is really dry. Our server was friendly but no refill offered on a soda for $3.19. Table was set but it was dirty with little bugs on it so had to ask for it to be cleaned again. The 2 for $20 special is what brought us in
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine with great tasting food. We tried their Special Seafood Pho and the Special Pho and was surprised how large it was. Everything we tried was flavorful and we’ll definitely come here again!
Good food, value for money and I recommend the papaya salad. Went with my husband today for brunch and it was awesome. Few improvement areas: we waited for 10 mins for our water (didn’t think it’ll take this long), we asked for vegetable spring roll but received meat spring rolls in our vermicelli. When we wanted to pay, no one served us until we asked after standing there for a while. I think staffing up during busy hours might help? Otherwise, great service.

We tried out Cassis on an impromptu date night, and we don’t regret a thing! The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was delicious. The bread is so fresh, and the fish of the day was impeccable. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere at this place is very chill, and the best part is sitting at the booth next to the windows. We ordered the number 1 extra large and right when they brought it to our table, the broth smelt amazing. We also had the spring rolls, which were hot and crispy. The bean sprouts at this restaurant were also very fresh tasting, and it complimented the soup very well. The waiters are super friendly, and most importantly, all the utensils and tables are super clean. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone, and the food all tasted excellent with amazing presentations.

A nice little hole in the wall that serves up some good food. Small Menu & doesn't seat many tables so best to make a reservation. Will definitely be back.
We came here on recommendations by another Vietnamese person, so we thought it should meet authentic standards.

The restaurant was decently busy with staff moving about. We got a pho and a vermicelli bowl. Both were tasty and delicious. I really liked how crispy the spring rolls were.
The service was great! We didn't have high expectations for the lunch buffet but it turned out to be really good! Decent number of options and it all tasted great!

The iced coffee was sweeter than I expected, it tasted more like a dessert. The dessert, coconut rice pudding with mangos, was also delicious and I think they need to serve larger portions! I could have eaten 4 portions of it.
This is not a trendy restaurant... It is basic seating like a dinner... But the food is second to none.. best Thai food I've eaten in Calgary. The menu shows clearly the different food allergies and has numerous vegetarian and vegan options.. the restaurant's walls are covered with humorous sayings and there is something to look at while you are waiting for your meals. Service is fast, often getting your food within 5 to 8 minutes of ordering. I've eaten here a dozen times and will contribute to do so.

Food was good. Fish was fresh. Salad was fresh and miso soup was good. Had the lunch sushi and ramen. Wished the sushi combo had different kind of rolls as there were 12 pieces instead all being California rolls. Ramen was tasty. Although not as spicy as what I had anticipated from their menu description. However, there wasn't any quality check, always had to wave waitress down if need something. Had to ask to refill water 2x. Menu price items online needs to be updated. Overall, they do have a good selection for lunch combos for around 17/person.

Update - went back again. Had the grilled mackerel lunch combo. It was alright. Pro - mackerel was cooked really well. A bit on the salty side but still tasted good. Skin was not crispy though. Tempura was good. Enjoyed that.
Con - Sashimi was really thinly sliced. And waitress had another bowl stacked on my rice when dropping off my food. Ehhhh...
Felt the price was a bit steep for what's on your plate. I would still recommend as the food is good. Minus the hit and misses.

We went for dinner here with my sister and her husband, and I definitely have to say it's one of the best meals I've had in a while.

We ordered the beef tartare and scallop ceviche to start. They were absolutely divine - the scallops were fresh with just the right amount of citrus. The beef tartare was amazing (we appreciate this so much more after being in London for the last few months, I can confirm that London beef is nowhere near as good as Alberta beef!).

For our mains my hubby and I got the mussels and frites - I was told the bread here was delicious and to get it in place of the fries, but our waiter was super nice and said I could have both 😂😂 - I honestly love it when they tell me this! I don't even think he charged us for the bread! Everything tasted super fresh!

Despite being super full, I ordered two desserts - creme brulee and the nougat with a passion fruit coulis. I'm so glad I made that the decision. They were both excellent. The creme brulee was super creamy and eggy. The nougat was a surprise as it wasn't too sweet. It had a nice soft and chewy texture with some crunch to it from the added nuts. The passion fruit sauce was the perfect addition.

I'd definitely recommend this place, and I'm sure we will be back as well! We also had some fun filming through creme brulee!

Anzu Sushi is not only a great place for delicious and high-quality sushi, but their lunch menu is also an excellent value. For a reasonable price, you can get a variety of tasty and satisfying dishes that will leave you feeling full and satisfied.

In addition to the great value of the lunch menu, the overall dining experience at Anzu Sushi is top-notch. The sushi is always fresh and flavorful, and the Japanese crew behind the counter is skilled and passionate about their work. The servers are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.

Overall, Anzu Sushi is an excellent choice for a delicious and affordable lunch. The bang for your buck on their lunch menu is definitely a standout feature, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.
Ordered pad Thai and large tom yam chicken. Food didn't meet expectations, especially Pad Thai. Ketchup ruined the noodles. And chicken in Tom yum had zero flavor. Very empty at 12pm on Tuesday. Most people came for 21.5 dollar lunch buffet, available from 11:30 to 2pm weekdays.

I was underwhelmed by the food and the experience.
The host that sat us didn’t say a word to us, sat us down then only spoke to the table next to us before walking away. Started off weird. The waitress was nice, refilled water fast and answered questions.

The ravioli was good, and we got crème brûlée for dessert (best part of the evening) as the ratio was perfect, it was thin and wide.
The rest of the dishes were average and I didn’t find them particularly flavourful.
This place is very good.
The seating is cozy and comfortable. They have very quick service. They close around 9 pm and we had called ahead to reserve a table for 8:30pm. They had already set up our table before we entered.

The food is very good.
I highly recommend their drunken prawns. It’s on another level. Panang curry was very good.
Papaya salad and green curry could be better considering the standard of their other dishes. Food was a solid 8/10. Those who know me are aware that in terms of food this is a very high rating.

Their server Calvin was humble, sweet and knew the menu well. Calvin turned this from a 4 star review to 5 stars.

Would definitely visit again.
i was craving for padseeyou and went here. the serving for the noodles is little although the shrimp are big and a lot. The taste is really good. 4/5 for that. On the other hand the spring roll is too small and mostly just noodle and carrot no meat at all. it’s still fresh and crispy so 2.5/5 and lastly The cashew and basil(pork) 4/5. This is really good. i love the freshness and crunchiness of the dish but the coconut rice isn’t that good. taste like more just steam rice. overall the place is clean and love their quotes on the wall and paintings. overall the food is great
We randomly walked in on a Saturday stroll with no expectations. We are definitely coming back. Food was awesome. We had all vegan options. Loved the green curry. Service was fast and friendly. Recommend!

Amazing food!! And wonderful staff!! Went there last night with my husband and we tried 3 appetizers and we both ordered the mussels and fries and shared the cheesecake dessert. All of it were incredible, so satisfying to eat! Love the atmosphere and the service was awesome as well! Will definitely be going back!
Going back after it reopened. Lots of positive improvements .. Staff are very welcoming and kind enough to split the Chicken wings one order but mixed both Hot and BBQ in one order. Satay Chicken Sub is great as usual, Lemon Grass Chicken is good felt pieces are big could have been thin slices, Seafood on Egg noodles is great.. Nice and clean place now 👍

Beautiful restaurant with some of the best food I've ever had! The steam buns and hummus are incredible, you MUST try them!! I love how they've decorated the place, it's very warm and inviting. Great spot for a date night or even a night out with the family, they are really accommodating to everyone.
We had reservations at 12 noon. When I arrived the hostess said, "Oh you friend is already here. Just walk in and you can find her. Maybe by the windows." The restaurant is long so by default you will see everyone as you walk towards the windows.

The buffet was quite sparse - both in selection and amount available. I counted about 9-10 hot dishes, 3-4 cold dishes (salads, salad rolls), 1 soup (which my friend said tasted water down) and a selection of desserts. I would have to continually stand at the buffet station and wait for staff to refill the dishes. When they refill th station, they do not return with a full buffet serving which is probably why they keep running out.

Always consistent food and service, simply put - very very good.

Had the cashew fried rice with prawns. Full of flavour and large sized prawns that are de-veined and flayed. Just amazing to see the time the kitchen staff takes to do this. Have been to many many restaurants and rarely do I see this done. Have been here for dinner before, and the phone is just as good in the evening as it is during lunch - consistency, plays a huge factor in customer satisfaction. Portion sizes are just right.

Service is always great as usual. Staff are very friendly and courteous, quick to seat you and quick to take your order. Food is fairly quick as well. Can literally do lunch in under an hour.

Restaurant is always clean, atmosphere is welcoming and warm.
A wonderful experience with culturally rich interior that can make you forget that your in downtown Calgary.

A note: It is located on the second floor, so it lacks disability access for people who struggles in climbing the stairs.

At first the entrance of the restaurant was greeted with a dark, uninviting set of stairs. It reminds me of a haunted house.

Every time I go to a Thai restaurant, I always order a Thai ice tea and it was amazing. It was refreshing, cold and just the right amount of that oh so sweet evaporated milk. I highly recommend it.

Our first order was the calamari. It was nicely presented, cooked well, but it was bland. You have to add the sweet and sour sauce that came with it to add flavor.

Our main course were pad thai and hor mok kai, chicken wrapped in banana leaf with zucchini, basil and red curry paste. The chicken was really good that my girlfriend reminded of her food back home in the Philippines and it goes well with coconut rice. The pad Thai on the other hand was OK, nicely presented, but it lacked spiciness , and nuts which I love. The sauce could've been done better by adding just a bit more.

One of my thai food crave place to go. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely come back for more.
