The chicken was good. The chilli was just right, not very hot, but kicks a good heat. Rice is dry, and the curry was salty. Maybe will order a different dish next time.

Very busy. Took a long time. Nice spicy vege curry, perfect rice. Not the best, but I'll try it again sometime. Convenient place when staying in this part of the CBD.
Very congested space. Couple of menu items we asked were not available. So, we had to choose some other menu items as shown in the receipt below.
Smelly haryali chicken, bland chicken curry, most likely frozen and reheated garlic nans, mutton biryani rice was wet as if it was dipped in water and served, not bad chicken biryani.
I would give -1 star if there is an option.

Unfortunately the cutlery is not clean as well as the glasses, which we had them replaced but again not clean!
1st table had broken glass on top of it!
The food is reheated (attached photos of literally ROCK SOLID meat), beer was sour (looks like was fridged then out then in again)

The restaurant looked new, but the toilet was shamble. Horrible, looks like just interested in making money. Management should take a look. It was on 26 SEP around 2pm.
I can understand that the chef might be different or the owner has changed. And I can accept the change in taste. But I can’t accept the compromise on hygiene. It was so hard for us to find a clean fork or spoon and kept asking for a clean one.
They brought us drinks with a dirty jug as well. And the food was clearly reheated as there are some cold chicken pieces inside curries. And also, I have a question, how can chicken pieces that are soaked in curry gravy taste so dry?!!!!!

Amazing flavour and texture in the goat biryani, garlic naan and mango lassi. The bomb!!!
Have been coming to Biryani House for years as I used to live around the corner, but today was my first time at their new La Trobe / King corner location. The atmosphere and decor were great and the staff are very friendly.

Garlic naan is great, but the seafood could be way better! Anyway I feel I ordered the wrong food, should choose the typical food.

The Chilli Paneer Biryani ($22.42) ordered via Uber Eats was quite good. Delicious rice and delicious paneer chunks that were buried deep. Only if the paneer hd been mixed more properly instead of me trying to dig those up. The paneer pieces were fine, the spices pretty mid. I'd still like to visit this place and try their other dishes.

Pleasantly surprised by our dinner here. On arrival, the place was empty which always sounds alarm bells for me. The samosas were a huge size for starters. Our butter chicken was delicious and had the smoky flavour from the tandoor and the naan hit the spot. They sell mango lassi by the jug which was a little thick and the cynic in me suspects it was perhaps a powdered mix?

I and my friend visited this restaurant by mistake. Actually, we had an offer from EatClub that offered a whopping 40% discount before 5 PM and we were more than happy to use it. The offer, was in fact for Shiraaz Express By Rajputana, which is a restaurant of the same family but a different one nonetheless. Only while paying after the food did we realise our blunder, which we rectified the next day!

The food took a while to arrive, I guess because of our order. So I ordered the Premium Thali (non-veg, $29.95), which consisted of
1. Chef's Choice Starter
2. Butter Chicken
3. Rogan Josh
4. Malai Kofta
5. Basmati Rice I Naan I Boondi Raita and Papadum
My friend ordered a serving of Lamb Korma, which is a Mughal delicacy of lamb cooked
with in house rich creamy based korma sauce garnished with fresh cream, ginger and coriander and was priced at $23.95 with 2 butter naans ($4.5 ea).

Most of the food was good, but not fantastic, especially for the premium price. The butter chicken was quite good with a thick, creany gravy but the chef's choice starter of the fried chicken was hard and not that delicious. The Rogan Josh was alright. The naan was well done. The malai kofta was good, but just one piece left me wanting for more.
My friend was fine with his food as well. One common aspect was the over-supply of thick gravy, which kind of took over the flavours of the meat. I wish it wasn't so heavy on gravy and cream.

I wasn't very happy with the stains on our tablecloth, which would otherwise be invisible from far. My otger grip is with the glasses, which weren't very clean, and on pouring water, small dust particles were visibly floating on top. The wine glasses were in an even more worse state of cleanliness.
The restaurant had a small group of 4 dining, and we were the others. I hope their business is going well, because it's occupying a good amount of space at a location where there are more buses than cars cruising around.
The restaurant has a nice, Rajasthani decor, as evident in the name and menu, and has a nice, Indian restaurant vibe to it. There's a washroom in the back as well.

It surprisingly good. Very tasty and spicy. It needs a bigger seating area. The meat is so tender. It’s must try food in the cbd. So busy around 8:00 pm. Get in quick before the peak. If you love spicy it’s for you. Need one in western suburbs.
I recently visited Shiraaz By Rajputana West Melbourne with high expectations for a satisfying meal, as I had heard positive things about their menu, particularly their chicken dishes. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant, mainly due to the undercooked chicken I encountered in both the chicken biryani and curry chicken dishes.
When my order arrived, I eagerly delved into the biryani, only to discover that the chicken was still raw and pink in the center. The same issue persisted when I sampled the curry chicken. It was evident that the chicken had not been cooked thoroughly, which was incredibly disappointing and concerning from a food safety standpoint.

The worst experience I have ever had in Melbourne, the most rude staff, there were almost 4-5 people waiting for food and they were rude to everyone. They don’t even have common sense to keep the ice cream separate from the hot food. Also if you look at the quantity of the brownie in the photo, its not even one tablespoon and it cost me more than $10, when I asked the girls about it they said this is how much we give and most of the breads were burnt. I won’t give this food to even a homeless person, I would feel ashamed giving this much quantity to anyone. This is the worst customer experience and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
