Just stopped in for a beer. It was small and over priced.
Pasta overcooked. Bolognese very sour and too much tomatoe flavor.
If you are in Zurich please take the time to go here...the food is truly excellent

Wenn man in der Stadt Zürich ein gutes Stück Fleisch essen möchte zu einem noch anständigen Preis, dann ist man im Gaucho goldrichtig!! Wir hatten das 300 Gramm Hohrücken und 200 Gramm Filet. Das Fleisch war perfekt zubereitet und die Beilagen (Baby Kartoffeln sowie weiteres Gemüse) , die Vorspeisenteller waren ebenfalls super! Das Restaurant ist nicht allzu gross und das Ambiete sehr Familiär, es ist nicht laut und einfach sehr angenehm dort essen tu gehen! Wir komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Surprisingly good prices and taste! One of the best steak houses in Zurich. We had filet and ribeye - both were delicious. The waiting time of the meals were a bit long, but it was a Friday and full seating.

This was my top steak house 2023 (3 times), I lost a fortune there but was worth each dime. It is a bit hard to find, has a living room atmosphere. the menu is very small .. not much to choose .. but the meat was tasty and as tender as butter - a true delight! Service was good.
Lovely, attentive service. Delicious, fresh cuisine. Beautiful ambiance. And one of the only places able to accommodate our table in the late evening. Worth a visit!
One of the worst dining experiences at an Italian restaurant. The waiter did not come to take our drinks order for 45 mins after seating us. He was not apologetic about it either when he came finally. I also noticed he took orders from tables who were seated after us, so may be he was just a confused person. The food was good however in spite of the underwhelming start. I don't know if this is about cultural difference or the restaurant was just under staffed because he was the only person waiting on close to 9-10 tables that night. All this to say, not worth going to this restaurant and experience a good service.

We had such a great time. We had just arrived to Zurich late and wanted dinner. This was the only place still open and they were gracious enough to seat us immediately. The service was great and the food was top notch. The eggplant parmasian was fried and baked and had amazing texture. The white truffle pasta was aldente and very flavorful. On my next visit to Zurich we'll be back there again.
Charming Italian spot with friendly staff. The Spinach Ravioli was outstanding. The Potato Gnocchi w/ Cheese was too cheesy. Avoid that one, unless you want a very cheesy, bland dish. But that Spinach Ravioli was not to be missed…also enjoyed the Vegetable Soup.
Poor service experience from reservation to dinner. First, when we called to make the reservation we were asked to speak quickly because they were busy. At the restaurant the waiter was very rude, not wanting to take our order, we then asked for a few starters to share and when we were served we were told that’s not how they run their service and that causes chaos in the kitchen (not the customer’s issue to be honest). Then we were served food that we did not order (because they did not have what we ordered, but they did not inform us just served whatever they wanted). To finish of, very expensive.
They serve good quality and tasty food. Service was so friendly and accommodating. Will check on each table on the food they served. Environment was clean and nicely decorated. Recommend to visit..

Wir hatten zwar nur Antipasti - diese war aber köstlich 😋 Nettes Lokal mit gemütlichem Ambiente. Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Given we had a long day at work and were staying at the hotel this was ideal location before heading to bed. However, as soon as we sat down we received attitude from the waiter, we requested an English menu given we didn’t speak Italian or German, the response was we don’t have and if you don’t speak these two languages you should leave, we simply requested that they just give us a recommendation or explain the very short menu to us to be able to make a choice (the restaurant was very quiet so this wasn’t exactly a big request) the response again was extremely rude and loud which made everyone else in the restaurant look over clearly confused by the attitude of the waiter. He then proceeded to explain the menu which took 2 seconds.
My colleague requested one of the pasta dishes, the waiter then responded bluntly with “if all you want is pasta get out, I’m not interested in serving pasta” my colleague was extremely polite in speaking both english and French to the waiter and explaining that he wasn’t overly hungry and just wanted a small dish for the night, the waiter proceeded to be extremely arrogant and rude to us before I even had opportunity to even request anything whether that be a steak or whatever I would have wanted. I proceeded to suggest we leave due to the complete rudeness of the staff as I refuse to give money to someone like that.

We came across Rosso as we had our flight cancelled, we were so pleased we did. Ideal location, great atmosphere, awesome service and tasty food. We didn’t book, but I would recommend this so you are not disappointed. We shared a table for six and the couples either side of us were very friendly. We would definitely go back and recommmed to all.

Wir haben unser Hochzeits Essen im Weinkeller gehabt.Das Ambiente ist super. Das Essen ist von einer super Qualität und schmeckt fantastisch. Das ganze Personal ist super freundlich und hat uns unkompliziert alle Wünsche erfüllt. Sehr Empfehlenswert. Danke an das ganze Team es war ein perfekter Abend für uns. Sandra und Tami
I recently dined at this restaurant and found the location to be quite nice. However, the service was a bit slow, which was disappointing. Although the food was average, I would consider returning if the service was faster.

It used to be so good but, sadly, in recent years Bindella’s food and service deteriorated. The prices stayed high, it’s always very crowded and you feel you are sitting in top of each other - all in all, will not be recommending from now on (October 2023).
The restaurant is really good. Atmosphere is perfect, however kitchen made bad risotto. Thanks to service, we receive free desert and coffee for that. But meat is one love for me, the best of the best ❤️🔥

I had a filet and my friend spaghetti. The filet was very good but the spaghetti below average. The worst was the weither. Arrogant attitude and overall unpleasant to have around. From a place with these prices you expect better service. I am not coming back.
Cool italian place right beside the station. Pizza was flavorful and the thin crust was great. Pistachio gelato was also very good 😋. It took too long to serve the gelato though, one of the waiters probably forgot but otherwise I had great service from them (I arrived before peak dinner time)

Wir mussten über 30 Minuten auf ein einfaches Gericht aus Pasta und eine Pizza warten. Leider konnten weder die Pasta noch die Pizza überzeugen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die Möglichkeit, Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn zu nehmen, und das freundliche Personal. Dennoch überwiegen die negativen Punkte. Die Atmosphäre ist kühl und laut, das Essen verdient kaum Erwähnung, der Service ist langsam, und die Preise sind vergleichsweise hoch. Alles in allem gibt es wenig Anreiz, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Ich kann keine überzeugenden Gründe finden, hier einzukehren.

Mag die Pizza bei Dieci eigentlich sehr gerne und bestelle oft nach Hause, aber die heute abgeholten Pizzas beim Zoo, haben überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Sie waren sehr trocken, da sie zu lange gebacken wurden und bei den beiden „Pizza Dieci“ wurde der Rohschinken im Ofen mitgebraten, sodass er ranzig und sehr zäh wurde. Üblicherweise erhält man den Rohschinken immer separat in einer Verpackung und legt ihn erst auf die Pizza, nachdem sie im Ofen war. War ziemlich enttäuscht, als ich zu Hause den Karton öffnete…
What a find! They're real Italians and real Italians eat here (I know because a couple sat next to us). Fantastic pasta. All 5 of us loved our lunch. What a pretty, quaint location with such pretty people. We loved it.
A lovely little Italian place in Zurich. Off the main road, in Noederdorfstrasse, they have a nice airy seating area inside and quite a substantial outdoor seating as well.
The staff are friendly and fast in their service.

Unser Besuch im Dieci Restaurant beim Zoo Zürich anlässlich eines Kindergeburtstags war rundum positiv. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich, was unseren Aufenthalt besonders angenehm gemacht hat. Die Pasta und Pizzen waren hervorragend zubereitet und haben allen am Tisch ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Eine tolle Wahl für einen entspannten und genussvollen Ausflug. Wir kommen gerne wieder!"

• Wooden floor makes noises when someone walks on it, imagine at midnight when your are asleep someone wants to go to toilet everybody wake up immediately. It has just a toilet for I think more than five rooms. Our blanket is for single bed not for twin.

We chose this restaurant as according to Google Maps it was very close to our hotel & had Italian dishes which we like.
At first, partly because the restaurant was so full, we nearly left when it seemed we were to be seated “cheek by jowl” in closely placed tables for couples which were all in a row.
Our waitress, seemed to sense we were balking & suggested an empty table for 6 people with high chairs.
Plenty of space & in a quieter corner so we snapped the offer up & settled in.
With some help from our waitress we ordered beef ravioli & Pinsa.
I was thirsty & I mean really thirsty & felt like having a beer 🍺 so I settled on the large (500 cc?) Swiss draft lager 🍺 which as my throat was as dry as a drover's dog I could hardly wait for!
So Maria & I are chit chatting & the waitress suddenly popped up first with my beer 🍺 which she handed to me in a flash & said, “Zero alcohol!”
I looked at her in stunned silence thinking,
“ What the heck!,…. why on earth,… what would I want with a “Zero alcohol” beer for!”
After a minute or so, the waitress (Tania as it turned out later.) felt I had suffered enough & still with an absolutely poker faced expression told me it had “some” alcohol in it so, as I was dying of thirst”, I finally felt I could take a long draft of the beer to slack my thirst 😮💨
5.2% to 5.4% if I had to guess & very pleasant!
The banter continued & we had a lot of fun but what we ordered was pretty filling & even though we had in our minds preselected our dessert 🧁,.. unfortunately we just could not fit a last course in!
So when we were leaving, no sign of Tania to say goodbye to but fortunately one of the staff retrieved her from the kitchen & I told her I often do Google reviews & said I would do one for this night 12 Sep. 2023.
So goodbye it was & a big passionate hug 🤗 that I will never forget (& for Maria too!)
Still can’t believe she is pure Swiss & that there isn’t a bit of Italian lurking somewhere there like in me,.. With the banter & all she made the evening a lot of fun! 🙏 Maria & David

Wann Italienisch essen, dann hier, die Pizza und die Pasta sind der Hammer. Der Preis ist fair und die Bedienung freundliche. Beim Zubereiten von Pizzas kann zugesehen werden. Wir können dieses Gasthaus nur empfehlen.
Incredible fresh pasta! I tried the truffle tagliatelle and the sauce was rich and delicious and the quantity was really good. I paid extra for chicken and mozzarella and felt like the chicken was worth it, the mozzarella was overkill and not that good with the dish. But that's on me. Would come again!

Wir sind sehr spontan über die Mittagszeit hier vorbei. Sie haben eine übersichtliche Sommerkarte. Vorzüglich schmeckte mir alles. Gemäss meinen Nachbartischen konnte ich annehmen das die Pizzen sehr beliebt und bevorzugt sind. Mein Partner und ich haben die Nr.1 der Sommerkarte bestellt und waren mehr als zufrieden. Feine Küche, sehr freundliches Personal und auf der Terrasse bekommt man etwas Urlaubsgefühle. Vielen Dank Wir kommen wieder.

Leider wurde nichts aus unser Mittagessen, da wir nur vorne sitzen durften un somit den Spielplatz gar nicht benutzen durften. Echt schade, das nächste mal essen wir halt doch im Zoo Restaurant mit Spielplatz....

In the heart of Zurich, a nice Italian restaurant with proper italian service.
The tuna tartar and the branzino were fantastic. We were a bit let down by the bruschetta, which were really extra hard to chew on and the carbonara, a bit too liquid to hold on the (very thin) spaghetti.

Small restaurant. As a local I would have walked past it because it's in the middle of the tourist zone and you wouldn't expect good pasta there but I was pleasantly surprised.
Also: for dessert we had the cheesecake which was easily in the top 3 of all the cheesecakes I've ever had.

The food and vibe here is very nice my only complaint is the service and how long it takes for the food to come out. The waitresses/waiters are very friendly but the food just takes ages to come out even if it’s not busy. I ordered fish and by the time it came out I wasn’t even hungry anymore. I think it took nearly an hour for everyone to get their dishes. My colleagues unfortunately did not like their food as much as I did. I personally would not come back here again.
Der Pasta Plausch ist sehr Preis-Wert! Wahrscheinlich das beste All-you-can-eat in Zürich für diesen Preis (25.50). Sehr freundliche Bedienung und das Essen war auch super. Der Innenhof im Sommer ist zudem auch sehr gemütlich.

They seem to become patio nightclubs more than restaurants. A glass was placed at my table, after reading other reviews, it seems water is either self service where the carafes are on the wall, or they want you to order bottled.
Afterwards, an older man arrived, and didn’t like the table they suggested, and he sat at the other end of mine. He ordered something in German. They brought him bread, subsequently a plate of something arrived (I guess it was cold requiring no preparation). While I ate my pizza he didn’t touch his food except for bread.

Fine dining Italian restaurant in old town Zürich. All our dishes were very flavorful and delicious. Good selection of meat and fish dishes, with a few vegetarian options. Excellent and freshly prepared Italian food. As this place is popular and can get very busy, reservations are recommended.
I was recommended to come here by my parents who went 5 years before me and it’s safe to say that the food was absolutely delicious, hands down the BEST pasta I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the Linguine alla veneziana (linguine w/ seafood). It was so so very good. The service however wasn’t amazing, it was very rushed though I would still come back 200% for the food.

Vor unserem Zoobesuch haben wir spontan dort sehr fein gegessen. Der Empfang war freundlich und auch der Service war sehr gut. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist sehr gut und das in schönem Ambiente, wo man sich wohl fühlt. Die Preise sind ok!
Süsses original italienisches Restaurant in einer Seitengasse in der Zürcher Altstadt. Ich hatte als Vorspeise Pomodorini con burrata: herrlich! Als Hauptgang Tagliolini al Tartufo nero: hervorragend! Und als Dessert Tiramisu: göttlich! Es hat rundum köstlich geschmeckt und war den nicht ganz günstigen Preis 100% wert.

It was quite a mediocre display for Ornellaia when we were there with issues with the food and service. Overall the space is beautiful and tables are spacious, I very much appreciated that effort.
The service - mostly professional yet cold, even for Swiss standards. Not up to par for a Michelin star restaurant, with little explanation about the menu and inattentive staff. At one point I dared to fill my own water glass when the hostess/server rushed to our table and literally grabbed the bottle from my hand saying it was her job. Needless to say my glass remained empty during the meal if I didn’t fill it myself afterwards. Overall the staff were unpleasant with us (see more below).
Food: big disappointment. We opted to do two appetizers and two pastas (one can order the pasta dish as a small course or a main, which we did). My appetizer - artichoke filled with roasted vegetables was really shameful in its lack of complexity for technique or flavor. I left half uneaten. My partner had the pork belly which was greasy and not good. The pastas were ok, but really nothing exciting. My partner ordered the Cacio a Pepe - and the server said there would be two parts to the dish when he dropped off the first one. After eating it, my partner simply received another bowl of the same exact dish. We both shook our heads - why not just serve a larger dish so we could both enjoy our meals at the same time? The dish itself, again was mediocre. Same goes for my Orecchiette - expected to be wow’ed - it was just ok but truly not special.
Finally - when the original server/hostess came to clear our table from the appetizer course she noticed we left the dishes half eaten. She asked if everything was ok, which we told her we didn’t enjoy the dishes, she then just shrugged, said “ok”, and walked away. Not quite sure what Michelin standards are but when the guest isn’t happy, especially mid meal, you try to understand and make an effort to fix. Zero here.
In summary, what a disappointment. Needless to say this was a very expensive meal, and we left very unsatisfied. Too bad.

This place came highly recommended. It was packed for a weekday lunch. Some hits and misses. Risotto and fish were good. Pasta was not that great. Tuna dip was awesome. And best part was the tiramisu. Would not recommend the burrata, was dry. Service was fantastic.
I ordered the Bruschetta and Carbonara, both were absolutely delicious. The Bruschetta was the right amount of acidic with the flavour bursting out of the tomatoes on every bite.
The Carbonara was rich and velvety with ample guanciale in it. Over all it was one of the best Italians I have eaten in outside of Italy.

My wife and I loved eating here! We felt like we were back in Italy again with every item on the menu. Highly recommend the ravioli!
A nice place with reasonable prices for students in proximity to ETH Zentrum. There is an option for takeaway or sitting on site. You can assemble your own dish, by choosing the pasta type and so on.

The food was just perfect, everything was delicious , I really liked the monk fish and the veal was excellent. Lobster spaghetti -also a very tasty choice.

Ornellaia is an absolute pleasure, and one of my very favorite restaurants in Zurich. There I enjoy Italian food that is among the best I have eaten anywhere, with impeccable friendly service, in a lovely room enhanced by tasteful artwork. All super conveniently located in the heart of Zurich on the Bahnhofstrasse. There is a daily lunch menu as well as comprehensive a la carte. I love the creatively prepared traditional dishes as well as the nice extras. As with the best of anything, it is not inexpensive.

We came back for the second time since we had a great experience on our first visit and it definitely was worth it! We called on the same day to spontaneously place a reservation and the owner was kind enough to make space for two person, since they were technically booked out that evening. The food as well as the staff were amazing!

Simply amazing food, the Risotto Truffles was mind blowing and the service was warm too. Corkage is 39 CHF was we brought our own Super Tuscan Wine along for the lunch.

We came here based on the great reviews and it did not disappoint! Luca was our waiter and he was wonderful. The staff was so helpful and friendly. My husband and I both got pasta and they were perfectly al dente! Also had a large table for big groups - which we didn’t need but loved seeing a large group gathered. Dessert was delicious too!

Had a really top quality meal here. Ordered the sole with a side of mediterranean vegetables - it was really beautifully cooked and fell off the bone.

Locality/interior design, food quality and presentation very good. Service personnel needs more hospitality schooling (serving wine not over the guest's shoulder and across the table to the other side, serving right food to right person...) small things but the icing on the cake
Wow! What a fantastic experience! The food was delicious and beautiful. The service was prompt with great recommendations. The servers were friendly and helpful. One of the best carpaccios I've ever had with tender and super slim cut beef and parmesan which complimented the pappardelle and paccheri perfectly.

Osteria Borgo is in the old City. The personnel was very helpful and we got the menu. The restaurant is pleasant. Our dog got water without us asking. They do care for everybody. The menu has plenty of options, also for vegetarians. They are all the classical Italian courses that one would expect. The food was tasty and well done. Everything taste is very fresh. It's well plated and looks attractive. We will return here again.

Horrible place! Arrogant owner. Your response says everything about you. Online you lie to make you seem like the good guy, but in reality you are everything but the nice guy. You couldn't even read without your glasses but when I told you it was negative you flipped out. Besides, i had a Antigen Test, not PCR, done within one hour and it was negative!!! Proves again that you are lying online!
Reminder, Antigen tests are valid for 48 hours. My colleague had a recovery Certificate. You yelled at us ONLY VACCINATED and threw our jackets back at us. That's the truth and Thank you Google for allowing us to share exactly such experiences so that people can think twice before making a choice.

Normally, I tend to give more positive reviews (4 or 5 stars) but there are two significant shortcomings here that I cannot ignore.
Firstly, there are no vegan options. It's 2021 and veganism has been growing exponentially for years, it's just unacceptable for a restaurant not to have one single vegan option.
Secondly, many waiters do not speak English. It's rare to find a restaurant in Zurich where staff don't speak English so I found it really disappointing that a restaurant located in the centre of a major business district had at least half of the waiters who did not speak a word of English.
Besides that, pizzas are good and the salad that they usually bring as a starter (included in the price) is really nice.

Had dinner on this night. The worker was very friendly and helpful. No menus in English but the staff easily helped us with the menu choices in English. My wife had the cheeseburger and it was very good. It was not a frozen piece of meat. It was hand made and grilled well. It was a good size burger and they served small baked potato chunks instead of fries which were a great alternative. I had pasta with a sliced/ground meat tomato based sauce that contained some fresh cherry tomatoes and a few chunks of carrots you could easily pick out if desired. The sauce was much better than the average restaurant meat sauce. The staff brought me some red chili pepper slices to help give the dish some spicy flavor. The pasta was obviously freshly cooked and everything was hot just like the restaurant name suggests! One coke and one water. A small basket of bread. Total 50CHF which is fairly normal for Swiss casual dining. Highly recommended.

Total: wasted 100 CHF for food that going right to the thrash.
I don't understand how an Italian restaurant may afford such an awful food quality.
Today we ordered delivery from the restaurant, and definitely will never do that mistake again.
"Piatto d'Insalata Grande" had rotten leaves. Also salad portion just normal, not big.
"Scaloppine di Vitello ai Funghi Porcini" -- it was tough to chew meat.
"Salzkaroffeln" was sweet -- potatoes were stored at wrong temperature.
"Bruschetta all‘Italiana" -- was soggy, cold, and dough were under-cooked.
"Lasagne al Forno" -- was under-heated inside, it doesn't look like fresh, was it frozen?!!
Very much disappointed.

Die Garstufe vom Fleisch wurde optimal erreicht. Das Fillet war sehr zart und hatte einen tollen Geschmack. Das Personal war zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundlich.

Wonderfully fresh, superbly cooked, delightfully seasoned pasta dishes. I am enjoying Spaghetti Arrabiata which has a very balanced taste between the sweetness of the tomatoes and the fire of the peperoccini. Fruty good-quality easy drinking wine and a good selection of salads and deserts. Loved it, will be back!
Good place if you feel like a good plate of pasta. You can choose any combination of pasta and sauce.
